I remember going nuts when I walked into the mausoleum with their names above the tombs. I was the only one in our group of friends that played it, my enthusiasm was totally lost on them.
23:51 You mean ENTIRELY responsible. Mobius can see the future, remember. He knew what would happen to Malek and very deliberately didn't tell Mortanius
Oh man, finally you arrived, now I can get my LoK fix, LOL. Thank you for still making content! Jeez, to live as a human in Nosgoth must be a terrible existence. FIRST!!!
Just found your channel. I played the first blood omen when it first came out, Soul Reaver 1 and 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance. Been a huge fan of the whole series for many years. Liked, subbed, and going through your back library to watch the great content you have. Keep it up, I love watching vids by people on LoK! You sound like David Attenborough doing a nature documentary..... badassery!
Am i the only weirdo in here, who would want to see full blown war between Sarafan Order at their height and Kain's Empire at theirs? Just to see which one was more powerful
Amazing analysis on the Order, some of these high-ranking lords were truly amongst the most infamous killers of their time. Despicable acts of violence were committed against the Vampire race. Vae Victis!
I wonder who was the last vampire hunter from Mobius's vampire mercenary army? Heck I'd like to hear lore about all of them from beginning to meeting their end by a vampire and which vampire did it, basically I love hearing lore about anything involving this game.
Ya know, now that I think of it. It kinda feels like we're living in post kain empire nosgoth. thats just because civilization AS WE KNOW IT is either going to decline, or collapse. not the end of days, nowhere near it, but a big change is on the way.
Interesting thing about civilizations that collapses is that it is basically end of days for people who are living at that time. Imagine how it was for the romans when their empire fell apart. Today we have nukes, which can definitely result in the end of the world.
Considering that the canceld Lok game Dead Sun had Vampire hunters as common enemey types i wonder if those hunters also would have taken inspiration from the Sarafan since they where warriors hunting the Vampires before the blacking of the sun in that games storyline. If we get a new Lok game now that the franschice is owned by the Embracer Group maybe the Sarafan order will return as enemey types yet again, i can defentley see Sarafan troops serving to function as enanlers of the power fantasy that comes to playing as a Vampire just making the player feel like a badass as you cut through hordes of Sarafan
I wonder was janos the only ancient vampire to turn humans into vampires, I assume he wasn't the only one, he was probably just the one that invented the method.
It takes time and effort to make vampires, Vorador was then the next one who passed the dark gift to humans once he matured enough. Not sure if Janos was involved afterwards.

I didn't notice Turel's talk about returning to the pit and yet he appears in one in Defiance.
That’s what we call irony lol
It could also hint to the pit that Raziel would be thrown into during his execution
I love The Arcane Tomes, I always like to see an explanation or analysis of the Legacy Of Kain lore, excellent video and greetings 😎 👍.

Thank you for keeping the old games alive and share that great knowledge with us
Currently replaying Blood Omen 1 now. This series is truly timeless :)

Haha, thank you for your support! Baz giggled at that comparison :)
Great work as always! I noticed that the spells on the waist sashes are the same ones used in Kain's Magic HUD in Blood Omen. Pretty cool detail!
Incredible. Keep it up. And I hope you can do more Arcane Tomes on Mobieus, Mortanius, Kain and Raziel in the future.
i absolutely love your choice of music, images and exposition. Thanks a lot
wonderful video as always
Another great video!! Keep up the good work, these are such dark relaxing lore rich videos, perfect with a joint lol
Excellent video. Love the depth of your lore analysis
Great video raina.

I love when these come out!
Would love to see you cover Mobius/Kain/The Elder God. Just binge-watched the whole playlist. Can't get enough.
Haha, thanks a lot!👍 We're working on the vampire hunters atm but plan to cover those topics too when we get to them 😁
Great as always 😎
Stopping to say hello, and thank you for making amazing videos!

@@candletv6591 They were noble warriors fighting monsters.
Good work
in the spanish translation of soul reaver 1, the va's call the sarafan "serafan"

the pillars of nosgoth shall rise again! i mean i want a remake.
i don't know about that.. i feel like they can only screw it up..
The Embracer Group can make sure of that.
you forgot to mention that every single sarafan member from sr2 wear some kind of coloured transparent layer on top of pieces of their armor

Why in Dumah painting there is like a vampire behind him?
That's a depiction of Raziel.
@@RainaAudron but why only with him?
@@Alucardko I guess it would be too much work to paint him repeatedly and he fits in within Dumah's purple colour scheme.
@@RainaAudron oh ok hehe
@@RainaAudron Or I guess you can say, that it's a foreshadowing as to what he would become after Kain refused the sacrifice, right?
