The latest Altima is reliable and trouble free, however you've to keep it well maintained with regular timely service and the CVT gear oil must be replaced as recommended by Nissan. I work at Nissan middle east and it's our top seller model in Dubai. Wishing you many trouble free miles
@desertblade1874 the previous generation is reliable, also. My 2018 has not made any unplanned trips to the service department other than for faulty batteries from the manufacturer.

And I drive going 90mph basically the whole way there and back lmao. I'm gonna drive it until the CVT explodes on me like everyone has been saying will happen

My 2019 has right at one hundred thousand on the original and it works great still. Change the fluid every 30 thousand miles and your good.
Wow! You are really concerned about the tail lights? 2019 the altima got some of the best front led headlights on all the models. Going down the road at 80 mph , personally I love how far you can see ahead of you. With auto dimming high beams and some with led fog lights too. The rear lights are just as good as they need to be.
I thought about purchasing the Altima SR after my 2016 Altima SR got totaled with 133,000 miles and never had CVT issues. Instead I downgraded to the Sentra SR Premium. Love that car. It's interesting the 2024 Altima has that old traditional key fob, while the 2024 Sentra has a new updated key fob.
I have a 24 SR Altima. I noticed that key fob upgrade for the Sentra. Weird they didn’t do it for all. For your 2016 Altima, did you ever have the CVT serviced?
Too bad Nissan won't drop their corporate 9spd transmission with optional AWD on the VC engine trim. That would a very competitive option in this class vs the Camry and Accord.
If 2025 is the end of Altima it'll be very sad. They should go all out though. 310 hp, diamond stich seats pano roof, and ambient lighting. The body kit looks solid enough
My brother is currently having his 2011 ford fusion sport in the body shop for his rear driver door to be fixed after it was smashed by another car that backed into his car. So now while he’s getting it fixed enterprise gave him a 2021 Nissan maxima SV with the black exterior and interior is leather and everything and it’s a really nice car. Other than headlights, I don’t understand reviewers infatuation with LEDs. Also, the reason that Nissan’s rear legroom is listed as less is that the front seat travel is much greater.
LEDs have a brighter and cleaner look. Even with the taillights. And functionality wise the LED bulb doesn’t burn hot and they last way longer than a conventional bulb. Those bulbs are a pain to change and so for me, the longer they last, the better 😂

You've got to be kidding me. I have to spend more money on the next trim up to get rear vents. Soon we'll need to go to the next trim level to get the tires.
Why did Nissan get rid of dual zone automatic climate control on so many trim levels? It used to be standard on Altima SV trims and higher and now it's only on the SL, I wish that would come back
I like your car reviews, but did you realize the Nissan SR does NOT have AUTO BRAKE HOLD, which is a very important feature to many drivers. Nissan forces buyers to either move up the SV Turbo, or the SL Trim, which are both more expensive. If I'm wrong, please let me know. In stop and go traffic, where rural areas may not experience this very often, it a great way to rest your right leg and the bottom of your right foot.
