I'm buying a new 2024 Nissan Altima SR this coming Monday to replace my 2020 Altima SR that I lost in a crash this pasted week. I was not at fault. Loved loved loved that car. I took great care of it inside out. Just put on all 4 new tires last October. I can't wait to drive home in my new 2024 Altima SR. ONE thing he does not mention and SHOULD is the Zero Gravity Seats. In 2019 I needed a rental. Our vehicle, a 2012 Hyundai Sonata was in the shop. I was having back issues returning years after back surgery and couldn't sit in the Sonata more than 15 minutes at a time, making driving miserable. Just by chance Enterprise put me in a 2019 Altima SR. To my shock I was comfortable. No pain. I was told they're Zero Gravity Seats created by NASA and Nissan to cradle you with no pressure on pressure points to keep you comfortable and able to travel. When doing a critique on these cars this should always be brought up. Many people have back issues. It's helped me tremendously! I never had problems with my 2020 either. No CVT problems that if they crop up I suspect is due to the car not being maintained well. Buy it! You'll love it!
Honestly just bought one, this BY FAR is the best review on UA-cam period !!! Highly recommend watching this guy c/t "other" reviews. He literally goes through everything you WANT!! Other reviews leave out the screen, nets/hooks/organizer in the trunk as well as ALL controls. People WANT to SEE the infotainment center and how it works. Also dude goes over the premium packages etc. Thnx for the review I'm picking my 2025 up Monday ❤+
My 3rd Altima, just bought the 2024 Altima SR white and love it. Only complaint I have is the rear view bothers me because the 3rd brake light sticks up to far.
👍🏻👍🏻 This was a fun one. 180hp is plenty for that car. It's going to be in traffic just like you were or stuck behind someone hell bent on driving 5mph miles below the limit.
The SR is also the only model that you can get the VC Turbo. But you are correct the AWD does drop in horsepower compared to the standard front wheel drive!
Long story short. I am an old guy married for 18 almost 19 year to a much younger woman that is the love of my life. We have a beautiful and not saying that because I am bias 17 year old daughter. In April we purchased her a 2023 Altima same color as the review but not all wheel drive. Traded a 2022 Sentra in which she got rear ended. She loves the Altima. About a month ago went to same dealership and traded my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 RST 5.3 that I bought new in November 2020 for a new 2023 Maxima SR. Truck had 20,000 plus and I had many engine problems with it. By the way my Maxima does not shut down at a traffic light. I looked at the Rogue and Pathfinder really liked them. Thanks for video

We just went through the same thing. I was going to get a mid size. Camry, Accord or Altima. But looking at cars I checked out a Civic Touring and got it. Totally surprised how large they are now.
Thank you for clearing that up about that hood over lap, your the first to mention it, I just got a 24 sr and realized that n sr only though, I think it’s a mistake, it’s open and can image how much rain gets in the top from there at highway speed or normal, because there is no weather strip there either, guess time will tell, I asked dealer and they said that is normal but still odd
One question. The side mirrors have integrated turn signals - right inside the glass! I haven't found a consistent way to activate them. Does anybody know how? I know they work I got them to work once but not since the first time.
It would be mistake to dicontinue the Altima, becouse sedan and hatchbeck cars areneeded for many people. With AWD Altima could be great daily vehicle. Great review as always. Greetings
We love our Altima. Purchased it new. It is a 2014. It is the most comfortable car we have ever owned. It only has 70 k on it and no issues yet. We love this car and it is a shame they are going to stop production of it. Sad for you Nissan
I love Nissan. I own an audi 2022 and i hate it . Its always in shop. Under 28k miles my Altima is a 2022 sr and its perfect. It drives smooth , it has everything I personally care about and it gets looks because its all black with Black tint. And the seats are perfect. I actually perfer this over honda . Vc turbo
I’m about to get rid of my 2023 Accord LX 1.5T…I hate it lol…I was supposed to get this Altima with the VC turbo before the Accord… never drove the Altima until this weekend..I loved how it drove…roomy. Nice looking. And pretty quick with the 2.0 motor…I previously owned an accord with the 2.0 engine. But Honda dropped that motor for 2023. But needless to say… that accord is out of here!
@@Derek-pq3zb I don't know much about Honda so I won't speak on them. However they are very reliable from what I have seen and they do look decent. I have a nice luxury car and I'm very happy with it but I dislike my Audi because it has problems. If it didn't the car would be appreciated more. So once I drove my Altima more often. Mind you the Altima I have is very basic. I ended up loving it. I do miss my mustang,! But the Altima has all the tech, space , and it just looks so luxury and I know how luxury looks and feels. I just wish I got the VC turbo because I need the extra HP. My wish is that Nissan cuts production of some cars. Maybe the Sentra or versa and leaf. They should focus on the Altima being a little more premium. Give the VC turbo on every trim level and maybe somehow get rid of the CVT on a sport trim. Give it a real transmission and I know it's a lot to ask but why not give it 310 HP. And it can replace the maxima

Much more nimble to me than my accord…I feel like all of the cars for under 40k that had a little fun factor are going away. Or they’re getting these tiny engine replacements…
I can't believe Nissan won't give you a Brake Hold button on the console in a $30,000 car. This is a basic accessory to reduce driving fatigue. Notice where is supposed to be, right behind the electronic parking brake.

just a quick question. does it have adaptive cruise control? i currently have a nissan versa and i don’t have the option of that so i find myself having to cancel cruise control because people don’t know how to drive and love to get in front of me and go the slowest speed known to mankind. of course i have the option to decelerate and accelerate on the steering wheel controls but its not as effective as adaptive cruise control.
My folks bought an Altima in 2012. They ended up trading it 6 years later, transmission went out. My dad is a stickler about his car maintenance. It just fell apart inside and out.
Clearly he ain’t a stickler stop the cap, if he really took care of the car it would last I abused my Sentra for 4 years before it gave out and I would go 15k no oil change

Actually, Nissan already announced that 2023 was the last year for the gas powered Nissan Maxima before it supposedly comes back as an electric sedan or SUV and 2024 is the last year for the Nissan Altima. There are currently no plans to bring the Altima back as of right now though. So, there will be no 2024 Maxima and no 2025 Altima. Get ‘em new while they last. This is your last chance.*
I had an SR Altima on a short lease..18 months…..and I gave it back and leased a rogue. Worst mistake of My auto-Life. I couldn’t possibly hate the rogue any more than I do right now. I miss the Altima so much. And they are not discontinuing the car. It’s their best car. They are discontinuing the maxima. Where do people get your information?
One addition......the 5 star accident rating is excellent. My Altima protected me. Wear your seat belts! Live to see another day!
My old 2016 SR saved my life as well in a head on collision I wasn't at fault. It was unreal inside the cabin didn't get a scratch.

If you open your hood you will see two rubber knobs, turn them. Not too much though just enough to close the gap some.
I need this to my be my 2nd car so bad! I love seeing these beautiful cars on the road and I’m excited to try the zero gravity seats.
