I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. Honda is becoming more bewildering by the day. The 2.0T Sport had a cult following and I dare Honda to say it wasn't selling well. Even here in NH, a small state, I see them aplenty. Yet, Honda found the time to develop a brand-new 3.5L V6 for the Pilot, so it can't be for downsizing and emission(CAFE) purposes. Furthermore, it seems that Honda found a cheaper way to produce the Accord while still raising prices. The front bumper, for instance, no longer includes foglights nor painted/gloss black accents. The headlamps certainly look more downmarket than the previous, 5-beam elements. There are no longer dual-exhaust elements, and the seating materials seem cheaper/lower grade than the last Sport. Sure, they added sunroof and larger screen for the base Sport, but that could be merely them consolidating manufacturing processes. I'm aware that the avg Accord buyer likely won't care, but Honda did great things with the last generation, especially the 2.0T/10spd auto/6spd manual combo. But hey, at least we have full LED taillamps, right?😒🙃
Like you mentioned, the average person buying these won't give two sh**s. We car enthusiast make up 5% of new car sales. Plus Honda sells 200K+ of those V6s and sells well under 50K 2.0T engines. See why they didn't make a new one...? The bigger reason for not including it is because it makes the TLX look REALLY bad.
FYI guys, upon purchase if you can get the dealer to swap out the GoodYear tires this comes with to the Michelin that come with the touring model you would benefit in road noise. The Michelins are quieter.
They got rid of the rear vents and no real no features plus a slower engine yet more money? Sorry but anyone who doesn’t shop the other brands to at least see how lacking Honda is in features for the money is nuts lol 🤷🏻♂️
Not sure the Accord has Value OR style. Price isn't all that competitive and with dealer mark-ups, forget it. The car is basically un-styled and looks like it was designed by AI in 0.5 seconds after telling it to draw a typical sedan. (especially that bland-tastic front end)
I’m the biggest Honda fan, i went to go look at this car irl yesterday and still can’t get to like it. The interior is basic and the exterior is mid, cvt engine, 0-60 in basically 8 sec like come on bro. I’m not buying a Prius
No heated seats, No rear vents for backseat, No dual exhaust tips on a “sport” trim…..e-cvt instead of the 10sp auto from previous sport. Not sure about this one….I think its a pass
Ehhh. This will definitely not age well. Honda should've gone out with a bang before switching over to all hybrids and ev's by bringing back that good ole vtec V6 with a higher rpm redline, more power, engine start stop, cylinder deactivation to help out with fuel economy and a more intriguing design. This car does nothing for me.
No thanks…I’ll be keeping my 2020 EXL 2.0t. Which has the rear vents, rear USB ports (as an option), blind spot monitors, rear cross traffic alert and all the Honda sensing. I have it lowered on Eibach springs along with front and rear sway bars. Also a number of chassis braces adds up to the car handling like it’s on rails. The 2.0 turbo engine is a gem of an engine which turns the car into a total sleeper.
Saw one on the road for the first time the other day, I currently am leasing a 2022 L turbo accord, I thought it was very boring looking. It’s almost like they’re going back to the roots of being that family sedan it’s just kind of boring but will last you long and mainstream. My money is on the new sonata n line or k5 gt. They still make fun models and they give you a more bang for the buck.
I have a friend who’s already had a few problems with his 2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line. After seeing his issues I wouldn’t recommend their cars. More reliable car brands such as Toyota, Subaru, and Mazda are still offering a faster engine as an option. You’ll spend a bit more but it’s worth it for the reliability and resale value.
This car looks ten years old already! My man def ain’t getting me in this car! And I bet them seats aren’t even comfortable! He better get me a Bimmer to cradle my cheeks!!!!
Well my Dad bought this exact car.Sad thing is he died last month from Bone Cancer!😭 Before he died,he called to tell me that he wanted me to have his car.😭Not sure if I will get it because it depends on his final expenses? I want it because my car is getting old,and need a car! But if it doesn't happen,it's the thought that counts! Crazy thing about this is that I work through contractor at the Honda Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio. ⭐🌟🌠
I looked forward to buying an accord but when I found out that the 2.0T was no longer available I'm considering a Camry. Honestly the MPGs don't excite me like the power did. I think whoever is in charge really wants to force us into hybrid and electric and I don't like it. Why not give us the option so we can choose
I find it amusing when a car company puts low profile tires and a blacked out grill on a car and calls it a Sport model. But 0 to 60mph in 6.6 seconds for a hybrid with a cvt transmission isn’t that bad for the Accord. I also give much credit to Honda for keeping physical controls instead of Tesla like screens for performing simple tasks like turning on windshield wipers and seat heaters.
After seeing several now in person I can accurately say that the color makes all the difference. IMHO the white ones look horrible in person, however, the sonic grey and dark blue look a bit better. Maybe it is how the color and lighting accents the body lines or something. This vehicle is not wortth anything over MSRP. Until Honda comes down to reality and starts selling these at or below MSRP, I am just going to wait and perhaps just might have to see what the new Camry generation has to offer. As a Honda guy it kills me to say this, but I am finding it difficult to get excited about this 11th gen accord. No SiriusXM, no BSI in many of the trims, No Homelink? and for so much more money WTF??
the isolation in the Accord must to be a nightmare!! i drove 2022 kia K5 and the road noise was unbelievably bad! So, to see the accord getting 62 dB and the kia K5 55.2 dB! is shocking to me!
interior cabin readings are very wishy washy, there are tons of factors that can change things. Tires, Wind conditions, speed, road conditions, whether or not the air vents are blasting or not. it should be noted that all of hondas latest vehicles are pretty quiet on the inside so I wouldn’t put it aside due to their readings which are far from controlled.
There are interesting things about this car, driving a Hybrid would be interesting but I jus don't like the lack of feat. for 33k @ least heated seats 🤷🏾♀️. I can get past the looks because it still is a nice car but jus afraid to take the plunge for a car that doesn't totally excite...but I do agree w/ some that looks a lil better in person tho I've not got to see the Sport yet
this new accord feels like a direct result of inflation 😂. they made the interior looks nicer, but it is not worth the amount of features they took away. other brands now feel way ahead of honda in terms of features and value. because they took away the 2.0t engine, the accord touring is more expensive than a hyundai sonata limited with less features.
Saw this on the road today and almost thought it was a Volkswagen Passat. What an EXTREMELY boring vehicle. If you gave it to me free, I’d trade it in for something more exciting 😂
I just realized the trimmings around the window are uneven..have to take mine to the dealership to ask what the hell is that...guarantee water will be going down into the doors...I can't wait to go outside after this rainstorm in nj clear down
Im curious why honda makes the brake light and turn signals larger on the touring and smaller on the rest of the trims. I just find it interesting. I wouldn’t think cost cutting is the issue
I will get the Honda Accord touring because it has all the luxury amenities but sadly now panoramic roof on the 11th generation which is down and already know that the only new Toyota Camry will be having a panoramic roof so I don't know why Honda didn't put a panoramic roof inside the new generation Accord they didn't the pilot and that's about it the payment roof so I'm a little upset about that
Drove the same car. I actually liked the the hybrid powerplant. Handling was good with a firm ride. No rear air vents and a low driving position made it hard to get out especially for older folks. No AWD option. A Subaru legacy with more ground clearance, AWD and a more comfortable and higher driving position for less money is the better choice
Overall, Honda did a good job with the 11th gen Accord. But by omitting the 2.0t. They have made the Accord less competitive, compared it's rivals. If you want 2.0t performance, your gonna have to choose from Toyota, Nissan, or Mazda.
its nice to know honda is focusing on the grandpa segment now. they deserve to lose market segment.. they chopped the coupes they had and now make cars for grandpas..
Honda hasn’t lost its way you’re all wrong “Hit a challenging road and body motions remain military school disciplined yet the ride never approaches harsh - qualities rarely found in together even in heavier higher riding SUVs.” So the accord still has best in class handling
I was going to get myself the new Accord this week but couldn't get past the dated looks. So I decided to go for the new CRV Sport hybrid in urban grey and couldn't be happier!
You did yourself a favor by getting the CRV. The 23 Accords don’t have the zip and handling that previous Accords have been known for. I literally could not believe it. The Accord is dead.
@@Cap683 Just drive any other car its competing with before getting into the new Accord and it will still be a top handler. I drove my Camry and the difference was night and day but the Camry soaks up bumps and has a very refined ride by comparison, which I personally prefer in my daily.

They should have put a detuned 11th gen type R engine as a BASE model engine and a Screaming, high RPM VTEC V6 turbo on the highest trim with adaptive sport shocks and beefy sway bars for handling.
