I eagerly waited for part 2 and got disappointed. I own a Navara while my dad owns a Toyota, can't say much about the D-Max as my family doesn't own one. If your evaluation is overall value, Navara should be number 1 (based on your video and tests). Your resource person's assessment is a bit baffling. I would argue that two of the most important aspects when considering buying a pickup truck is comfort and handling as well as adaptability on and off road -- the Navara beats the Hilux and D-Max in that regard. If my purpose in buying a pickup is for business or mostly hauling, then I would definitely choose the Hilux. For general use, then it would be, hands down the Navara, especially if you consider the price. The more worthy competitor of the Navara in terms of general use and value for money would be the Ford Ranger. A lot of people will still go for Toyota, only because of its infamous badge, regardless of what the competition is offering, that is why they can still get away with not providing their customers the best value for their money. This is my honest, personal opinion after having driven two of the most popular pickup trucks. I am planning to get myself a Ford Ranger in the near future as I don't care much about the brand. I always go for the value I can get for the amount of money I will spend. 😉
@TatayMongKalbo whats the diff between a toyota badge and a nissan badge? if you prefer comfort then the hilux is not a preferred choice malinaw naman yun sa test na ginawa nila..according to this test the hilux is best overall value best offroad best in hauling, braking test, speed test, more powerful, while it is last in comfort.
@@arcsolomon6360 reading vs comprehension, I already have a lengthy post, you can re-read it and try to understand my point -- like I stated on my PERSONAL POV, all things considered and if one takes into account what matters most, a utilitarian, kinda one-trick pony like the Hilux isn't value for money. If you want to make an argument as to which badge is better, I am not interested in stooping down to that level (I smell fan boy). As stated above, " I don't care much about the brand. I always go for the value I can get for the amount of money I will spend." Feel free to make your own ranking but do not try to convince me otherwise, like I said, my family owns both and my opinion is based on my personal experience. If you feel differently, then good for you dude. I won't argue with your preference, but I will not agree with you. If you think Hilux is the best, go ahead and buy one. If you already have one, then enjoy the jarring ride. Ciao. 😉😁
Navara - the most balanced among the three in part one. But the Hilux is the champ? I am disappointed but it also makes me laugh. I think there's a mistake in that "Handy Dandy Notebook".
Nice review. D-Max Isuzu here.^^ i am an architect. The specifications of the truck suits my site visits and client meet ups. Can be rough looking and still look like a darling at the same time.💅
In general, One that beats the other is not possible among these trucks. The choice of truck depends of what features do you want to have that fits your lifestyle. Before I bought one, it took me 3 months to decide. After careful evaluation, seeing reviews and hearing it from each brand agents, I chose navarra. I dont do offroad stuff, i dont carry that much heavy loads, max of 500 kgs. There are some times I drive with my kids, just so comfortable, the zero gravity seat is the BEST seat I have tried eversince. On long term durability of engine, engine of navarra has not changed since 1996 that proved its reliable and worriless for me...but if you like to race , pass cliffs, rivers, holes, and feel the earthquake, you can choose toyota😂😂😂 Even if I own the Navarra, Ford Ranger is the best among them. I did not choose it because of its undersirable aftersale reputation unlike nissan and toyota. And in most autoshop I visited, there is almost always ford being hanged and repaired😂😂😂
although masarap talaga e drive si ford, pero ito yung mga problem ko sa kanya 1. hindi talaga sya ganun ka durable when it comes to the engine 2. mahirap mag hanap ng parts 3. angggggg mahalll ng parts like mapapakamot ka talaga 4. daming arti ng ford sa repairs.
The new styling of the Navarra looks damn good, but I really don't like the dashboard layout. It's pretty old school. Come on, Nissan, you have to stay ahead of the competition. 😁😆😅
Yeah honestly, they missed a point and something about, not upgrading the dashboard like they did in Nissan Tera. The Navarra would be great with an upgraded interior. Still I would choose the Navarra over the other pickups, even with the dashboard thing. A new Nissan Navarra is coming soon apparently, with rumors telling it has been co-developed with Mitsubishi to reduce costs, since Mitsubishi entered the Renault Nissan alliance few years ago.
Been with topgear PH close to 20 years should I say avid follower. One thing I notice them they into Toyota, so no wonder why they chose Toyota over nissan even the navara has everything you need.
My Choice will be Navara. but if id had to choose one to keep for a lifetime, it will be the Hilux cuz it will outlast the rest. but these days many ppl to keep a vehicle that long cuz models are evolving, so id go with Navara

yeah I think Hilux is not really comfortable but all of them is a Pick up truck it still should be utilitarian. and that is what they see on those 3 it should have posses the power of being a pick up truck.
Dmax and bt50 will perform about the same so no need to have both really. The only thing to note is the difflock on the bt50 will add good points to it.
Check australian comparo vids for pickup, BT-50 is usually in the last, so maybe they did not bother to include it. Plus Mazda is a rare item on Philippine roads (even in metro manila), so again maybe not worth it to be included.

Sir Biboy,,what would you prefer,,,automatic or manual transmission on your truck?
VALUE FOR MONEY GO FOR DMAX BECAUSE BIG DISPLACEMENT AND FUEL EFFICIENT
How about the Mazda BT50? with diff lock version of Dmax, free PMS coverage of up to 5years/100k mileage ? ^_^
