When this first released I thought it was some unfinished abbandoned after launch project. Then the first big update came out of nowhere and it showed to be a genuinely great project. Im excited to hear that it is finally releasing in full!

Yes, the maps are huge and, if nothing has changed, there are four in total. But you only do three each run {Note : Map names best guess based on bad memory} : North of the Wall, then a choice between Swamp of Despair (DoT and respawns) or Planes of Carnage (armour and high HP) and then The Capital (mix of everything based on foe type).
It's a big game and, with so many possible paths, quite a bit of replay ability. Also, your choices can have an effect on the ending.
Equipment is rare early on, so prioritising Elite enemies, Events and chests (all of which have a chance to drop equipment) is paramount.
Shops are rare and very expensive, but are usually vital for gaining or completing set bonuses.
What would be great in these sort of of STS roguelites is a huge arrow pointing to energy you have left and cards that are playable at the end of your turn, because apparently that is easy to miss!
I like how upgrading the Lunges feels like a valid build because their upgrade adds scaling. Edit: and there are Lunge cards besides the starting ones!

@1:08:44 you should have taken Accumulated Force.. you kept saying "I don't have lunge" when the majority of your damage IS lunge cards.
I crossed my wires and was thinking of lunges as a separate card type, like Shivs in Slay the Spire.
@@wanderbots Yeah lunges in this game is basically like "slash cards". Anything with the lunge on the name counts, and all basic attacks are that.,
Why does every streamer keep replacing and replacing and replacing their sword / shield / whatever, when they have NO BOOTS AND NO HAT? I mean, it's gaming 101: get gear in all your slots FIRST, before trying to trade up!

love the art and the lore, but not the gameplay. not their fault tho, Just dont care for slay the spire gameplay.
That’s fair. I love that kind of gameplay, but I can definitely see people looking at this and preferring to watch some lore vids on it instead
