So for those wondering, it actually IS straight up the First Geneva Convention that actually forbid use of the Red Cross, the Red Crescent, or the Red Crystal Emblems by anyone other than the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. This is to make sure that in the event that a soldier sees those symbols marked on anything, there can be no confusion as to what it means: That Red Cross/Crescent/Crystal being present means you are looking at Red Cross/Crescent/Crystal Equipment or Personal. Also in the exact same Article, which is Chapter IX Article 53, it is also forbidden to use the Arms of Switzerland(aka the White Cross on the Swiss Flag) for basically everyone not Swiss or with approval by the Swiss Government. The reason is actually the exact same as why the Red Cross/Crescent/Crystal is protected. The thing about the Red Cross is that it is literally a inverted color Swiss Cross. As such, there is the possibility of it getting confused in the heat of battle. So in order to not risk that issue, the Arms of Switzerland is also protected by the Convention. This does actually mean that the American Red Cross when it files a lawsuit about someone using it without permission doesn't even need to make a trademark claim, as the US is a signatory to the First Convention. As International Treaties signed by the US are explicitly treated as supreme law of the land according to the Constitution, Chapter IX Article 53 is just straight up US law. The American Red Cross is the only organization in the US with the right to decide how the Red Cross is used in the US. Trademark and Copyright are just straight up ignored here, the symbols are just outright protected. And yes, this does mean that there is no such thing as a fair use of the Red Cross, since fair use is part of said trademark and copyright law that does not apply here. Fun fact, Johnson and Johnson once tried to sue the ARC for putting the Red Cross on all first aid, safety, and disaster prepardeness products not licensed by J&J. You know, that symbol that is explicitly set out under US AND International Law as protected and reserved for use by the Red Cross. Needless to say, Johnson and Johnson's lawsuit was thrown out of court.

Mage charmed everyone
Cleric married two people
Warrior almost died
