Destek QH3 is in a different class altogether. addition of a second adjustment mechanism placed at the top of the head in addition to the one at the back, adjustment knobs are very tactile, and honestly, now that I've tried this design, I can confidently say that it should be the new standard for VR headsets moving forward. It is very comfortable and very secure, holding the Quest 3 in a very stable position. We find ourselves moving the upper head/forehead support to different positions - a very, very easy process - when changing to different VR environments, and however it is placed, it is great!
I really enjoyed how it felt. For me it was just a question of comfort when I've become used to the halo design, and I feel like the overhead part is unnecessarily big and unsightly. How it looks is less important than the comfort, but it's what I came away with.
Great video, I bought a cheap head strap off Amazon for $23 6 weeks ago and a now its $17 "JHZWD Head Strap for Meta/Oculus Quest 3" along with an external power bank while I wait for the after market manufacturers to catch up to the power demands of the Q3
I got the Kiwi Design headstrap with battery and love it, gives me about 2 hours extra play time. Bought directly from Kiwi for £46, arrived in about 7 days from China! Only negative if I had to pick one is Im trying to avoid e waste and the battery isn't modular.
Nice review matey I appreciate your opinions on different styles of headset had just bought the bobo m3 myself still mucking about with positions but will get there eventually reminds me of my old rift headset, if I could get near that headsets comfort I’ll be a happy man. Keep up the good work.
I built my own elite battery strap! I combined a broken Quest 2 elite battery strap with the new arms from a cheap Quest 3 strap. I found a headstrap with a padded top strap and hinged arms, so it is also an upgrade to the original Meta strap. I stripped away the broken arms from the Quest 2 strap leaving just the battery section, then I stripped down the 30 dollar Quest 3 strap so I could use the new arm design, put it back together and it works a treat!
im glad seeing more of the destek qh3 (finally!) what i wonder if its really possible to adjust it to a point on using it like a halo headstrap (so that headphones could be used i guess)
Appreciate the testing and comparisons! If i wasnt so trigger happy day one and bought the elite batterystrap I would've had a vast selection of aftermarket straps to choose from today. Oh well. Maybe I'll look at a replacement whenever it decides to break 😅I also believe in natural growth on a channel in reference to that guy at the end 😆 I think you as a content creator will enjoy it more if you make the videos you want to make. The begging for views stuff that Asssasinsguy does wont work in the long-term. And subscribers have no interest in helping a channel get views, just to get views. We're all here for the content that you bring, hurst. 😁
Almost pulled the trigger on the Globular Cluster because it looked comfortable and they are coming out with a battery pack soon, but it seems to have some design flaws. I just can't seem to find a really comfortable Halo strap that doesn't have battery issues.
I noticed that the hinges on the Ana Pro were bent downwards over your ears. I had the same problem with my Elite strap. Try bending it so that the hinge points go upwards away from your ears.
Globular cluster made some headphones that were amazing on the Quest Pro, but the product I tried for the Quest 3 was completely underwhelming. The quality was pretty subpar. And I can't speak to anything regarding the face gasket. I don't play without it.
Also, that watch time thing, it doesn't work. UA-cam can determine if watch hours aren't genuine. They'd see all the same videos being watched form the same IP with no user input for 7 hours and know. PS great video. Your editing is way better than most VR reviewers. My only suggestion would be getting a better camera/lens or at least work on lighting/colour grading a bit. The video quality itself was a little weak, but if that's fixed you genuinely have a strong channel on your hands!
Yeah, I'd encourage you to look at the newest video. I'm tweaking the lighting, but I'm currently using the best webcam money can buy. I'll have to jump to DSLR eventually, but right now I think I'm just bad at squaring the software.
Colour grading looked a lot better for sure! I would recommend some backlighting too, it will help add contrast to the foreground (you). An RBG light strip at the door could help! But yeah getting a DSLR or Mirrorless will help miles. The Sony A6000 serious is great for its price point (granted I know that is still a large investment). Either way, that stuff will come with time, for now keep up the engaging editing and energy! It's a fantastic foundation, hope to see you keep growing homie! @@bringhurstvr
That's the saddest story I've heard since we got that Santa crying over the cancer kid dying in his arms. I can't blame you. It sucks for comfort. But for another $50 it's pretty great. I'll blame Meta for losing ya, but I feel like you caved a little quick.
@@jasonm.8749 They're comfortable. But with a battery solution on the way and some shoddy build quality, it's not recommended. Which is a bummer. Their headphones on the Quest Pro were top notch. Makes me wish they'd just stuck with what worked.
@jasonm.8749 the curve is flatter than the bobo so it doesn't hug your forehead. It more so presses against it. I experimented with different combinations of different padding including tiny ones on the sides. Had to use a hot air gun to increase the curve. Got it feeling OK. Would highly depend on your head shape. Otherwise it feels quality apart from the clunky ratchet.
It's the best I can do. Asking for more than an analysis on comfort, fit and battery life over the course of a couple hours just isn't gonna be feasible. These aren't paid sponsorships, and if it's not appealing enough to bother using for two weeks, then I've got other things I have to dig into. I think you're asking for a month's use with some kind of a fully fleshed out opinion after the fact. But nobody has time for that without making it their daily driver. And that's not gonna happen unless it meets all my criteria.

Me too... really like my Destek Qh3 on the Quest 3... I hope they make a revised version which includes swappable batteries... that doesn't hum!

I love my Aubika headstrap. Great battery life and fit

Finally someone who reviewed the DESTECH, glad I stuck with Bobo lol

I bought a bunch to try out. I've been really liking the Kiwi with a 10,000mah battery velcro'd to it.
I've got that on the way. Looking forward to dropping a review.
How does the Globular CMQ3 feel without the face gasket compared to BoboVR?

The new AMVR face gasket is a nice upgrade too, takes a lot of stresss off
Haven't heard from those guys since the Quest 2. Happy to try it if they reach out.
Good work as usual bro 💯
Thanks man.
Another quality review brought to you by "Big HotGlue".
I'll take it.
good vid
returned my quest 3 because its too uncomfy, and didnt want to feel obligated to have to buy an Additional headstrap after spending 700 dollars

What’s another $50 after spending 700+ be thankful that there are other options. Unlike some headsets that you’re just stuck with what you have.
I just got my globular cluster today. And there are many flaws with the shape. The back pad is too hot and the ratchet feels cheap and clunky.
Yeah, that knob is wild. The whole thing is pretty shoddy, which is a shame since it's so comfortable.
@@bringhurstvr still nothing beats the bobovr.
Damn... I was emailing back and forth with the owner and was going to purchase it for the comfort. So it's no good?
