Cool little video. These kinds of simulations are neat in a "fair fight" kinda way. Unfortunately for real life america that China already has 2 type 54Bs both launched in 2023, while USA has just now in mid 2024 laid down the hull for the constellation class. US Naval institute has reported this class of frigate is 3 years behind - Originally expected for 2026, now 2029.
By the time the Navy gets 4 constellation frigates we're talking 2032 minimum. China would have 50+ frigates of 54B standard or better by then. RIP US Navy :(

Still feel 32 cells is a bit lacking if you want a decent oufit of both sm + asroc as well as ESSM. SPY-6 and Aegis baseline 10 is actually better than any US warship till Burke III. Main concern for me is the lack of a hull sonar for redundancy, if their is an issue with Captas-4 (exceptional piece of kit), it will be blind. While being derived from the FREMM-it, it has extensive modifications to suit American systems and liking.

Even when compared to the harpoon, the NSM warhead appears to be quite anemic for it's mass. But nevertheless it's a stealth missile, also a smaller one, which allows you to pack more of them on the constellation. If you really wanna make the constellation put up a fight, you can up the number of NSMs inyo 32. That area amidship is too spacious for just 16 NSMs.

The Connie is another ship I'd be very interested to see work with 2 to 4 "Minimally/Optionally-manned" LUSVs, each with 4 to 8 of the 40ft Mk.70 4-cell VLS launchers on deck, which would be really cool to see in DCS.
Even with 16 NSMs from the 4 deck-mounted box launchers, I still agree with the criticism that FFG-62 is too poorly armed for its size & role. 32 VLS cells is simply inadequate, especially at a time when no capability to rearm at sea exists. It's been clear for the last decade that the threat environments at sea require robust magazines with substantial depth, covering the gamit from low to very high-end capabilities, in order for a naval platform to have any meaningful effect in a fight & a decent level of survivabiluty. 32 cells might suffice in a low-end fight, through low-threat areas in littoral waters, or brief transits through blue-water areas of moderate-threat levels for a large corvette/fast frigate. However, for anything like a mission-specific frigate that might be expected to fight & win decisively against moderate-level threats and survive intact for the next fight requires an absolute minimum of 64 cells, and more than 64 for a multi-mission frigate like the Connie which would be expected to operate as part of a larger surface group & contribute meaningfully, if not decisively, in a high- to very high-end fight.
A few Mk.70 launchers on Connie's deck in addition to the the existing NSM launchers & 32 VLS cells would be a good start, but unless each one will be permanently augmented with at least 2 LUSVs assigned alongside them at all times, they'd better be together in significant numbers. What's more, DOD has to start taking warfighting capacity, and not just capability, seriously.

The major upgrade is the platform itself and the AESA spinning radar. It is just an enlarged version of the 054A. meanwhile, the constellation class displaces 7,000 tons, roughly matching the displacement of the 052D destroyer.

Setting the distance of 50 miles is too close. hhq16fe is a medium to long-range anti-aircraft missile with a range of about 150km. It is different from essm, which focuses on a shorter distance within 50km. Because it is set to intercept distant targets, missiles generally do not fly very low in order to extend their range before approaching the target. Therefore, tThe minimum height that hhq can intercept is 15 meters. Therefore, after launch, most hhq16 missiles have NSM below Its minimum interception height and failed, and the hhq10, which is dedicated to intercepting low-altitude targets, carries a smaller number.
Because the distance is too close, there is no need to consider the issue of range. The nsm can fly at low altitude and sea skimming all the way through, which leads to such a result.

@@carlossaraiva8213 Well one I am not the producer or writer of the Star Trek or Original Star Trek series. I understand why if your looking at it just from a Sci-fi stance why Constellation Class makes more logic it doesn't for me. It is more grounded in history and culture why Enterprise became the name of the ship and Constitution the class.
There debate about the origins of the Constitution Class. Original producers of the series wanted to call it Enterprise Class. Also the term Starship Class is mentioned.
In the series there was mention that there was 12 other original ships made like Enterprise which makes it 13. This to many made it more in line as a reference to the original 13 colonies. Constellation was one of those ships along with the Constitution and several others.
The USS Constitution was the flagship of the first 6 Frigates to be built for the US Navy when the US Navy was formally created. Constellation is one of those original 6 but the Constitution is the most famous and oldest and still commissioned warship in the US Navy. Enterprise of course has its own legendary fame. USS Enterprise 1775 was the first ship in the Colonial armed forces.
Gene Rodenberry served in the Pacific during WW2 where both the Yorkton and Enterprise were made famous for the battle of Midway. Some say Rodenberry originally chose Yorktown as the name for the Enterprise but with the launch of the nuclear powered carrier USS Enterprise he used its name instead. There is almost always an Enterprise in service being the first. So to me its more history makes it logical for the naming of the class. Constellation though one of the original is not the most famous or historic. Navy whether US or world is usually about tradition along with its naming of vessels. Sorry for the long comment. I know its more then you might wanted to hear but to me this is what was more logical and traditional about naming the Class and Ship along with a bit of history of why those names were chosen.

TOS Enterprise was indeed a Constitution class cruiser. The USS Stargazer that Picard commanded before the Enterprise-D was a Constellation class cruiser.
