Yes! It is indeed edible...but it does not taste very good. Sometimes people use it to make jams, jellies, and even wine. I suspect it's better taste wise if you add a bit of sugar to it.
I was told this plant is a weed.....they grow all over my back yard...they are pretty but just a weed...if you let them grow.... they get really big....almost like little trees..

They do! There are quite a few in my area that are taller than me (Misha) - at least 5-6 ft
