As strange as this may sound... I was growing around 50 or so plants in a winter garden room of my apartment. I accidentally bumped one pot at the lowest level near the ground shelf, and one of its young branch vine sagged to the floor. I noted it but did nothing... the next morning, I walked in and found that the pot plant branch vine next to the one that had sagged to the ground, had extended to the ground. By midday, that branch had curled upwards and with its curled vine ending had lifted the other branch vine up. The next day both branch vines were upright. I took pictures of each stage!!

Redwood trees are known to join together to keep their neighbor trees from falling. Some trees will "starve" themselves of nourishment to send it to younger or struggling trees.
In Heaven, everything that is alive sings praises to the LORD, all the time. Sometimes, they all join in together in a glorious concert!

@@ittybittykittymama7582 This is true and certainly a magnificent aspect of nature. But, if it was true that hardship, disease, cruelty, and famines did not exist before humans' Fall, such collaboration would never have occurred in trees. Much, if not ALL, of the beauty we see in nature is because of ways Life has adapted to survive in a world with death, cruelty, and hardship. Without death, there is no life. If death and cruelty really didn't exist then, beauty and life would have been far less meaningful.

The idea of trees "starving" themselves to help others is a popular concept, often presented in a more poetic or metaphorical way. While some level of resource sharing likely occurs, it's crucial to remember that trees are primarily driven by their own survival instincts.

@@donteatthecats0001 The question of whether “God” is used to explain things we don’t understand-often referred to as the “God of the gaps” argument-raises a thoughtful philosophical debate. Historically, people sometimes invoked God to explain unknowns in the natural world, such as the cause of thunderstorms or disease, before science provided alternative explanations. However, many believers view God not just as an answer for the unexplained but as the source of meaning and purpose that science alone can’t address.
Philosophers and theologians suggest that God is not merely an explanation for mysteries but rather the foundational being who makes existence, logic, and the intelligibility of the universe possible. In this view, belief in God transcends any individual mystery and represents an answer to the deeper questions of purpose, moral values, and consciousness.

I’ve been planting native trees in a local park to enhance the diversity of plant and animal life there. This past summer we had long spells of drought and many trees planted in isolation needed to be watered as their leaves were wilting. However, in one 10-foot area there is a 12-foot Sweetgum tree, 5 persimmon trees that grew there from seed and several oak trees that grew because someone dumped a bucket of acorns at the base of the Sweetgum tree. What’s fascinating is the leaves on those trees never appeared wilted. I would have thought with so many trees growing too closely together would have used up the water reserves in the soil and all would be compromised. But it appears they’re all thriving! It will be fun to see what transpires over the years. Maybe each species contributes something needed by the others and collectively they will be able to survive. Thx for the inspiring video.

There is a theory that mitochondria are symbiotic with their host cells. Nitrogen fixing nodule bacteria are a good example of symbiosis. Some organisms like E.coli can be both symbiotic and pathogenic. Of course many other life forms are parasitic or necrotic. I would say that these life forms, and most plants, are very much older than 6000 years.

@earthisasphere My problem with evolutionary theory is that we have no evidence showing intermediary forms of creatures, as far as I am aware.
How do fish grow legs and walk onto land? Mutation is not a quick process, it cannot produce a fish with legs from a fish without legs without many, many intermediary generations- generations which would logically be less fit to survive than the legless fish due to their worse than useless half-formed legs.
Consider how rare genetic mutations are, and how it is even more rare for them to be beneficial, and how it would be even more rare for a detrimental mutation to survive to the next generation, and then even more rare for another mutation to occur within that mutated specimen, and even more rare for that mutation to progress the former detrimental mutation in a manner that could eventually lead to something beneficial (like a leg). This process cannot be the way that we got such varied, functional, and beautiful fauna and flora, it is impossible no matter how many years you give it, this process would not be able to produce life as we know it.

That fungus is part of the rich matrix of the soil. It includes earthworms and bacteria also. My mother used to be able to grow almost anything in plant pots. She always began by building up the soil. The tub would contain worms and some soil from an older tub, which I recognise now was to introduce the bacteria and fungus.

It was looking out the window at Sycamore tree "helicopters" floating upwards, and apparently in certain cases landing 2km away that really made me think about intelligent design and subsequently God. Each of the seeds is a wing with a counterweight, which is actually the most efficient type of propeller that exists. When you think about the breadth and depth of design that exists in nature, God's existence is really undeniable, as it states in Romans 1:20.

Lot of seeds have evolved to be widely dispersed by wind. There are gliders, parachutes, spinners, drifters (cotton like) and others. Design would have been if all seeds were the same, but evolution doesn't look for the best design, it can't. I just pass on whatever increases the chances of survival.

Congratulations, AiG. The first chunk of the video was actually an enjoyable, quality video. In those forst segments, you shared God's incredible Creation, rather than imposing a strict biblical _interpretation_ on it. I'm glad we can still appreciate the wonder of trees, mycellia, and the interconnectivity of our Earth together.
The last part really illustrated how misunderstood (or unfortunately sometimes, ignored) evolution is within many people. I'm not a naturalist (as in the belief - not the studying of nature), but evolution as I understand does not inherently entail selfish bloodshed and the physically strong crushing the weak. Collaboration as much as competition drives adaptation. Life wants to survive, whether its aware of it or not. Functioning organisms are genetically coded to carry out what is necessary to do just that. Cruelty and death may be involved along the way, but that is the inevitable flipside of beauty and life.
We see this all throughout nature. A wildfire causes death, but it also is required for life. After the old is cleared away, ash and nutrients within help the forest to be reborn. On a more specific scale, the lodgepole pine (a species of coniferous tree) requires fire for its resin-sealed gametophytes (cones) to open and release exposed seeds. Without life there is no death, but without death there is no life.

Amazing and beautiful. I think of all the trees i seen falling down in all the videos from the hurricanes and the floods happening around the world. My fear is there could be not enough trees still standing to make the weather better. To make the air better. Will we become desolate like Mars? End times talk of stars falling and the world ending. But the Lords prayer says "Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven". So my hope is Earth will recover. & they say Jesus will come back soon in a light so great we wont even need the sun and that everything that can fly will fly towards his light coming. & seeds dormant in the soil will spring up and bloom. AMEN. I love your channel. Thank you for your amazing story telling gift. Thank you God. Amen.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2Timothy 4

I heard from someone else that they(scientists) hooked up trees to some kind of instruments and when a chainsaw was activated and started carving up one tree, the other trees close by reacted... So happy to hear it here too.

@@joefriday2275 When you inquire of the purveyors of the supernatural they usually tell the rest of us about its superlative nature. Infinite, omnipotent, omnipresent, hidden and with just hint of menace. The actual number of supernatural 'persons' such as gods and his sons, angels, archangels, demons, goblins and talking snakes seems very large but perhaps deliberately vague and ill described. Even monotheism = triangle.

Scripture should be a scaffold, you make it a cage. To you the Bible has become an idol.

I once used this natural phenomenon as a base for a lesson in Church. And during another event we had The Lord of the Rings themed Sunday Worship. Your combination of both in this video is a brilliant idea and wonderfully executed. Thank you for unearthing the beauty and ingenuity of our created world. Jesus be praised

I've known about this for a while, but still amazing. I've grown quite interested in fungi after seeing a display about them at a county fair.
