+XeroRez, the Dreamcast & Arcade versions of the first one are still the best ones because of the soundtrack. I haven't played it since because Sega never bothered to relicense those 4 tracks for the subsequent ports.
Syberia looked pretty good. A good nonviolent game I'd recommend is Escape From Monkey Island, I'll never forget how refreshing it was to play an entertaining game that didn't involve fighting.
The Harvest Moon franchise is one of my most favorite non-violent games. I mean you get to axe & scythe cows but that's not the main premise of the game XD
20:55 That would be Battles by Atlas and what they're actually saying is "People won't be people No, the people won't be people when they hear this sound Won't you show me what begins at the edge of town" So it's not violent but I still love what you heard out of it.
phew, thanks brother. I knew I had heard this song on my own at some point over the years, and I've been on an Eric Copeland kick lately so I thought it was something by him (becauses he often uses pitched up vocals that sound really similar). It's been forever since i listened to Battles.
Extremely excited for next weeks episode. Video games without violence is like hide and seek without brass knuckles or chess without blood. It's simply not the same experience.
+Serpico's Beard It bored the hell out of me to be honest. I don't see the attraction of this game at all. And London (which I actually live in) is barely there. No real world locations and having to actually follow traffic rules makes it totally unfun for me.
+Serpico's Beard You mean Part of EuroTruck Simulator 2, as even now, the game does not cover the entire continent of Europe as advertised by the name. Alot like how American Truck Simulator will only cover...........Califuckingfornia.
It is not the objective for the most part, but there are sections where you HAVE to attack people. I strictly remember toy soldiers that shoot at you and you have to hide in a cup. I would say 1/3 of the game is violent, but it is cartoon violence.
Hey guys! Just wanted to say THANK YOU for all your work you put in your videos! It's my sunday morning ritual to watch a new GS episode. Keep up the great work. A fan from germany.
Excellent list there guys! Captain Toad was a blast to play through when i bought it a while ago, it was relaxing but at the same time i was hooked by its simplicity.
Dave if you love Loco Roco then you'll love the Katamari Damacy series. Definitely a series that should be included if you guys do another one of these.
The song from the Portal credits really hit me with the feels. When I first beat it, my girlfriend and I laughed at the lyrics. She’s gone now. I hadn’t thought about it until I saw this.
Playing LittleBigPlanet online was probably one of my top 5 gaming experiences from the past 35 years of gaming. I'm may have just been lucky, but it seemed like most people I joined up with were really cool and friendly gamers. Something I've rarely experienced with consistency on most other games. There were so many moments when other gamers would wait up for the others and actually work together as a team. It was really great to be a part of that.
I bought my daughter Toad's Treasure Tracker last Easter, she's just turned 6 and it was her favourite WiiU game until she got Yoshi's Wooly World for Christmas. Great game and cheap, too
There is a game for Steam and PS4 called The Talos Principle that would have definitely fit this video topic. It's a first person puzzle game from Croteam that has been compared to Portal. However, it has a more serious and philosophical story about what makes one human and if what makes one human can be replicated by an AI in androids after we all go extinct. Definitely worth looking into, although it is much tougher than Portal.
I'm amazed you guys are keeping the weekly schedule and working as well. Good production quality and clearly you are spending a fair bit of time playing the games. Bless you!
+Mr. Dasilva They've done Final Fight & Streets of Rage and covered quite a lot of beat 'em ups like Simpsons, TMNT, Ninja Baseball Batman so they may have covered a lot of them already. There is a GameSack video guide www.joeredifer.com/gamesack.html. But I agree a beat 'em up focused episode could be popular.
Alien vs Predator - Battle Circuit - Cadillacs and Dinosaurs - the Denjin Maki series - Dungeon Magic - Night Slashers - Oriental Legends series - Metamorphic Force -Violent Storm shit, I could go on and on about amazing arcade-exclusive beat-em ups no one's ever heard of.
You guys always make informative and entertaining videos. Game Sack is easily on my short list of channels that I don't skip watching any videos for. Keep it up, fellas!
I am a Frog scientist with umpteen dozens years of experience at Accidental University (Go Fighting bullfrogs) and can confirm accurate representation of frog innards. Thank you for teaching the world Dave.
The LBP song mentioned is Atlas by the band Battles. They lyrics are extremely distorted but they are saying "People won't be People, no people won't be people, when they hear this sound, Won't you show me what begins at the edge of town"
I don't care what some might say, I love episodes like this. Well presented in depth looks at interesting content is what you guys are all about and this video doesn't disapoint. I'll watch a "Games with bald main characters" video of yours any day!
I'm not sure I don't own a Wii U, but I know that it is on the Wii service for sure. Wii u has the service to use the wiiware, but the NX is coming so they may kill the wii service even for the wii u.
Can't wait to see games like God of War, Mortal Kombat, Madworld, the new Splatterhouse, and the entire library of Suda 51 on next week's episode. For minimal violence, I do think Harvest Moon deserves a mention. I love the N64 one. Also, the de Blob games, which I think are really cool. Might've been a good time to bring up other Super Monkey Ball games.
Alan Hendricks Me too, I think they worked very well, after taking a minute to get used to them. The game showed in the video the perfect example why tank controls were better :)
+gozinta82 Came here only to see if someone mentioned tank controls in the comments. Trying to explain to people why they are necessary, without video footage, is almost impossible to do.
Gekisha Boy on the PC Engine and its PS2 sequel Gekibo 2 (almost released in the west as Polaroid Pete) are INCREDIBLE games, totally unique and hilarious.
Harvest Moon guys? =P Your running a farm! A FAAAARRRRMM! AND IT EATS YOUR SOUL TO PLAAAAYY!.. ... well several months go by in real life and you've noticed how much you've wasted on a virtual farm.
Wow! Didn't think it could get any better! A new HCG and a new Gamesack! I found out this past Wed. that I have kidney cancer, Thank you for taking my mind off of my situation. Great episode as always!
Crazy Taxi is such a fantastic game! Had no idea there were so many sequels. Thanks for sharing guys, I really enjoy this series! I find out about a lot of games I've never played before. Keep it up! Thanks for sharing!
I'm not complaining? Just stating that the title seems like you're running out of ideas on what to make episodes on. That is all. How about a controllers episode?
You guys really are allergic to PCs aren't you ? Syberia should be played on the PC with the mouse, not with a bloody gamepad which almost all your complaints are centered around.
Crazy Taxi hits me right in the nostalgia since it was the arcade cabinet at my local Pizza Hut. I'd love to see you guys do an episode going over more PSP games (mostly for selfish reasons since I just bought one but have no games for it). Can't wait for the next episode! I love you guys!
Bit of trivia Joe: Shigeru Myamoto also said if there's one game he'd wish he had made it would be Nights into Dreams. This was way before Little Big Planet came out though
when it comes to non violent games, the first game that comes to mind is katamari damaci. that game is so colorful and upbeat. although.. you CAN roll the ball over people eventually, and you do technically destry entire cities when you get large enough. so you could say it's the most violent game that doesnt seem violent at all lol
I'm pleasantly surprised with the themes that you come up with. I like the humor in Portal. One of the reasons I kept playing that game. I love Crazy Taxi. When it was in our local arcade I played the cabinet over there while I have the game on DreamCast.
this episode reminded me of why I love you guys, I was bummed after the wrestling game episode after a few of the greats were ripped by Joe because I've been waiting for one on that topic, but all was forgotten once I heard your praise for portal, also the crazy taxi guy impression made me legit laugh, and that doesn't happen often watching you guys, great episode guys this is my first comment on here just had to give you props, my favorite episode thus far
The only games I can think of for now with little to no violence is Disney's Tarzan, Tomba and Tomba 2: The Swine Returns from the PSOne era. There are occasions when I grow tired of violent games and wanted something funny, uplifting and something a little intriguing to style and gameplay. You guys covered this episode nicely and if you both perhaps are planning on a another episode like this in the future could you possibly mention one of the games from this comment? Thanks for this episode Gamesack, you guys ROCK!
With so many puzzle-oriented games in this episode, it makes me want an episode that talks about some other puzzle games like The Adventures of Lolo for the NES, Little Magic for the SNES and Crush for the PSP and 3DS, my favorites in the genre.
I was actually fascinated with the idea of LocoRoco when I first saw it in a local shop on a demo stand and this was one of the first games I got for my PSP. I still think it's awesome.
17:23 - Of course I do! Prince Froggy's guts was my favorite boss battle from Yoshi's Island! Less importantly, I'm sure I dissected a frog in science class or something...
Farming Simulator 15 The most chilled game in existence, just running a farm and leaning back in your chair one hand on WASD+Shift+Space and one on the mouse and a big glass of Pepsi
Little Big Planet 3 was very challenging. You really should try it. It took me awhile to beat it. They added things to the game play that made it way harder. BTW that song at 20:58 is called Atlas by the group Battles and the lyrics aren't what you thought. Whats funny is when I first heard that song I was thinking the exact same thing too lol.
Have you guys done an episode on extreme sports games like Dave Mirra Freestyle, Aggressive Inline or any of the Tony Hawk games? ... and now that thought about Aggressive Inline I got *_*that*_* song stuck in my head.
Love Joe's KERRAZY voice. Found it hard watching a player who didn't boost or slide though. Doesn't matter how rusty you are - without learning to boost and controlled power slides there's no chance of a good score or completing the challenges.
Another great episode guys! Good to see a UA-camr focusing on something like this for once, since non-violent games are so often bypassed in favor of shooters and hack n' slash titles. As for some of my favorite low-violence games? You're right that cutting out sports/racing/puzzle titles lowers that number a LOT, but there are still some amazing games that fit your description. A few of my favorites would be: --SimCity -- the original, 2000, 3000, or even pseudo-clones like Cities: Skylines all provide a lot of fun, strategic gameplay with little to no emphasis on violence. --VVVVVV -- a platformer with no jumping, no enemies, and only one level? And it's GOOD? Very much so. --Rock Band -- obvious choice is obvious. I'd love to see y'all do an episode over music games one day, from the old-school to the new. -- Mini Metro -- probably pushing the "puzzle" game element, but the mechanics here are so fresh and interesting it's a title that warrants mention. --Katamari Damacy -- is it violence rolling people up to make them into stars when it's been shown that, canonically, the people survive it? I'd say 'no,' and these games are entertaining enough to inspire me to look past that element in the name of awesome. --Harvest Moon -- farming has never been so relaxing.
Max and The Curse of Brotherhood and Tearaway (and to a lesser extent the PS4 conversion/remake Tearaway: Unfolded) are two somewhat recent nonviolent games I'd recommend. I'd recommend the original Vita version over the PS4 version, just for the better implementation of controls.
Crazy Taxi is _such_ a great party game, even though it is single player! Brought a big grin on my face seeing it again. It's been too long that I've played it.
Syberia is a PC european point & click graphic adventure so it is pretty normal for it to have those controls. Same for the 4:3 ratio because the maximum resolution is 800x600 so upscaling to other ratios will produce deformations.
Wiz and Liz was the first game that came to mind for this episode, if you make this a series I'd suggesting using it for the next video. I find it kind of funny that Kirby is one of the best kids' series and yet it's very violent once you actually sit back and realize you're digesting innocent little Waddle Dee.
Joe, I'm so glad to finally hear someone speak for the support of tank controls. Honestly, I can understand why it's a turn off for some people, but it took me like half an hour to get used to them, and once I did, it's become second nature. I think we need more modern games that utilize static camera angles and tank controls.
Nidhogg is a really cool indie game that is excessively violent. The controls are very tight and the game is awesome. It's one of those games that's easy to learn and hard to master.
I remember having a great time playing Syberia 1&2 back in the day. It's an awesome game if one is a fan of the genre. Cool episode, guys, keep them rollin' :)
I don't know if there's enough for an entire episode, but how about original games that star movie actors - not just actors providing voicework, but using their likeness? IE: Vin Diesel in The Wheelman, Dwayne Johnson in Spyhunter, David Bowie in Omikron, Bruce Wills in Apocalypse, etc. (that's all I can think of).
Also - in the legs puzzle isn't trial and error, you pick up a tourist brochure - I think back at the inn? Which mentions what wood Voralberg automatons are made of, this is meant to be a clue for that puzzle.
There are some inherently non-violent genres, such as puzzle games (Puyo Puyo, Bust a Move, Baku Baku), minigame collections (Wario Ware, Rub Rabbits, Hot Pixel, Frobisher Says), puzzle platformers (Metrics, Ivy the Kiwi, Lost Vikings, Shifting World, Nightsky), and some racers (Choro Q, Race the Sun). And don't forget all the modern Indies games like Hohokum, Entwined, Unfinished Swan, etc. And Loco Roco is great.
It's not fully released yet but there is a cool non-violent game coming out (and in early access) called Hover: Revolt of Gamers. It is a free-running sci-fi game with some Jet Set Radio influences.
A Story About My Uncle was a fun exploration/puzzle game with, if I'm remembering correctly, zero violence and a cool story. I got it for a couple bucks on sale and ended up liking it way more than I expected. Another game in the vein of portal is Quantum Conundrum. A physics based puzzle game with no violence and filled with cool concepts. It was made by someone who worked on Portal so you know it's good, and it really is.
Now for bad games with TONS of Violence.
+Salokin Sekwah Altered Beast PS2?
+Salokin Sekwah Mortal Kombat 3 to 8.
+Salokin Sekwah
Hatred?
+Salokin Sekwah Ride To Hell
+ReloadXPsiPlays Armageddon is a pretty good game actually
Joe, your Crazy Taxi voice is great!
+XeroRez Thanks. I tried.
+Game Sack Please invite Craig Stadler to do an episode where he is a guest.
+Stephen Mystery I'd like to.
+Stephen Mystery He loves teaching us golf in his Vidja Gaem.
Congratulations, Joe! You've coined a new genre: "Springpunk".
The Harvest Moon franchise is one of my most favorite non-violent games. I mean you get to axe & scythe cows but that's not the main premise of the game XD
+Super Mastodon I used to sneak in the barn when the cows were sleeping and use the cleaning brush on them mwahaha ;p
Natasha Conner
oooh how evil!
Super Mastodon Haha I always felt mean but the loud mooooo! made it worth it ;p
Its OK. I have a copy of one game on the serie somewhere on my room
The SNES Harvest Moon is the first game I thought of when I saw the title for this video. One of my all time favorites.
20:55 That would be Battles by Atlas and what they're actually saying is
"People won't be people
No, the people won't be people when they hear this sound
Won't you show me what begins at the edge of town"
So it's not violent but I still love what you heard out of it.
phew, thanks brother. I knew I had heard this song on my own at some point over the years, and I've been on an Eric Copeland kick lately so I thought it was something by him (becauses he often uses pitched up vocals that sound really similar). It's been forever since i listened to Battles.
9:52 That's a mighty fine Crazy Taxi voice you got there!
Let's make some CRAZY money lol
Radical Reggie hahaha lol
Great video as always. The kind of themes that you choose for your videos are part of what makes you a great channel.
Cheers . Joe & Dave... Another Great Episode..
Sunday would not be the same without a New Game Sack..
Extremely excited for next weeks episode. Video games without violence is like hide and seek without brass knuckles or chess without blood. It's simply not the same experience.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 - A great, addictive game with no violence at all.
Big rigs over the road racing
+Serpico's Beard It bored the hell out of me to be honest. I don't see the attraction of this game at all. And London (which I actually live in) is barely there. No real world locations and having to actually follow traffic rules makes it totally unfun for me.
+Serpico's Beard You mean Part of EuroTruck Simulator 2, as even now, the game does not cover the entire continent of Europe as advertised by the name.
Alot like how American Truck Simulator will only cover...........Califuckingfornia.
Slyguy threeonetwonine It doesn't really matter, you could play ETS2 for 300 hours and still not drive on every road in the game.
Or what about desert bus
You were both holding back laughing in the ending skit, that had me rolling all over the bed in laughter, awesome video guys!
Yeah we were. We amuse ourselves too easily.
Chibi Robo for the Gamecube goes in the opposite direction of violence and has you cleaning a house. :)
+D00mM4r1n3 You have a mega man gun and shoot tiny robots who attack you. There is violence in that game.
+Therealmadkong ain't that minimal though?
It is not the objective for the most part, but there are sections where you HAVE to attack people. I strictly remember toy soldiers that shoot at you and you have to hide in a cup. I would say 1/3 of the game is violent, but it is cartoon violence.
+Therealmadkong I see your point but still find it ridiculous to consider toys fighting an act of violence. To each their own.
Hey guys! Just wanted to say THANK YOU for all your work you put in your videos! It's my sunday morning ritual to watch a new GS episode. Keep up the great work. A fan from germany.
+Ranson Curbersmith Hello Germany and Thank You!!
This episode has the best title card in the history of Game Sack.
Excellent list there guys! Captain Toad was a blast to play through when i bought it a while ago, it was relaxing but at the same time i was hooked by its simplicity.
I LOVE THIS THEME! It's nice to play a game without the need of violence or distractions. Cool picks!
Dave if you love Loco Roco then you'll love the Katamari Damacy series. Definitely a series that should be included if you guys do another one of these.
As HappyConsoleGamer would say, "Game Sack Rocks"!!! Seriously, I love your videos guys, can't get enough. :)
guitar hero and rock band spring to mind.
there may be some lyrical violence in some of the songs, but there's no real violence
Excellent idea for an episode! I'd love to see more with similar themes.
Thank you guys. Great episode as ever. Can't wait for volume 2.
You weren´t bothered that you were a female in Portal? You deserve a medal or something!
The song from the Portal credits really hit me with the feels. When I first beat it, my girlfriend and I laughed at the lyrics. She’s gone now. I hadn’t thought about it until I saw this.
YES!!! Loco Roco is one of my favorite games on the PSP! Thanks so much for covering it guys
+RandomIP You're Welcome! It's one of my favorites.
+Game Sack Dave For ultra-violence games don't forget Postal 2 and Hatred.
Mortal Kombat is A great Game with Minimal Violence.
Yeah, the SNES version of MK1 probably would have been less violent than Portal.
+AskDrannik I actually just bought that game a few weeks ago. I haven't played it yet but am looking forward to seeing what it's all about.
+Game Sack Dave This Game will blow your mind pal. ;)
Funnily enough my girlfriend's dad is currently playing Talos Principle. It looks like a pretty good game.
I'm amazed you guys are keeping the weekly schedule and working as well. Good production quality and clearly you are spending a fair bit of time playing the games. Bless you!
There's always the Animal Crossing games from Nintendo. Those were always fun and very calming.
Great stuff, you guys never fail to entertain! Always look forward to more SACK.
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, Little King's Story
Coming home from nightshift to a new Game Sack episode is the best thing ever!!
Any chance Game Sack you can do a beat em up video game episode?
+Mr. Dasilva I'm surprised they haven't done so yet. I'm sure the time will come for one of my favorite genres.
Arcade Only or Left in Japan Beat Em Ups would be fantastic.
Alien vs Predator - Battle Circuit - Cadillacs and Dinosaurs - the Denjin Maki series - Dungeon Magic - Night Slashers - Oriental Legends series - Metamorphic Force -Violent Storm
shit, I could go on and on about amazing arcade-exclusive beat-em ups no one's ever heard of.
+Antonio Caudillo-Leiva They've already reviewed Dragon's Crown.
You guys always make informative and entertaining videos. Game Sack is easily on my short list of channels that I don't skip watching any videos for. Keep it up, fellas!
Myamoto also said that about Nights into dreams.
SHIGGY
I am a Frog scientist with umpteen dozens years of experience at Accidental University (Go Fighting bullfrogs) and can confirm accurate representation of frog innards. Thank you for teaching the world Dave.
I think you guys should do an episode on Shoot'em-ups made by the awesome CAVE.
+lee cook And Raizing/8 :D
+gozinta82 And include the later Toaplan shmups too!
I like this show more and more. It's helped expand my game library quite a bit from games I've never heard of or had forgotten about.
I would like to see game sack do a list of genesis games that are better than their snes counterparts
Well they could split it up...I just wanna see lol
The LBP song mentioned is Atlas by the band Battles. They lyrics are extremely distorted but they are saying "People won't be People, no people won't be people, when they hear this sound, Won't you show me what begins at the edge of town"
Was Flower too violent for you guys?
Yeah that one was pretty brutal. I don't mind a little blood and gore in my games but Flower really took it too far.
+Game Sack Mechpunk?
+Game Sack Personally I'm looking forward to the sequel: Body Parts
+Alexandra Radu Did you not watch the video? They literally explain within the first 50 seconds why they didnt cover it.
+Alexandra Radu It was violence against NATURE. The wind brutally attacked flowers.
I don't care what some might say, I love episodes like this. Well presented in depth looks at interesting content is what you guys are all about and this video doesn't disapoint. I'll watch a "Games with bald main characters" video of yours any day!
fluidity on Wii eshop is like loco roco
+Austin Ellis Really? I will have to check that out.
+Game Sack Dave You should hurry on that Dave, I don't know how long the wii virtual console is going to last since the NX is coming out soon.
+Therealmadkong It should be on Wii U too no?
I'm not sure I don't own a Wii U, but I know that it is on the Wii service for sure. Wii u has the service to use the wiiware, but the NX is coming so they may kill the wii service even for the wii u.
+Austin Ellis I checked it out and its not really all that much like it.
See people, this is the reason for the tank controls in Resident Evil. Stop complaining about it!
+gozinta82 I was surprised to see someone actually request tank controls.
I like the tank controls, it should never die out.
Alan Hendricks
Me too, I think they worked very well, after taking a minute to get used to them. The game showed in the video the perfect example why tank controls were better :)
+gozinta82 I love tank controls, for fixed camera games is a must.
+gozinta82 Came here only to see if someone mentioned tank controls in the comments. Trying to explain to people why they are necessary, without video footage, is almost impossible to do.
Klonoa has to be the non violent game that i prefer. Even when you "kill" your enemies, they pop into stars and hearts instead of blooood and bones ;)
The Stanley Parable?
Gekisha Boy on the PC Engine and its PS2 sequel Gekibo 2 (almost released in the west as Polaroid Pete) are INCREDIBLE games, totally unique and hilarious.
Harvest Moon guys? =P Your running a farm! A FAAAARRRRMM! AND IT EATS YOUR SOUL TO PLAAAAYY!..
... well several months go by in real life and you've noticed how much you've wasted on a virtual farm.
+RocKM001 I see your point, but the reality is that our "real lives" aren't much more then a virtual reality itself.
winner
Wow! Didn't think it could get any better! A new HCG and a new Gamesack! I found out this past Wed. that I have kidney cancer, Thank you for taking my mind off of my situation. Great episode as always!
Needs more violence
Disliked for ignorance.
Crazy Taxi is such a fantastic game! Had no idea there were so many sequels. Thanks for sharing guys, I really enjoy this series! I find out about a lot of games I've never played before. Keep it up! Thanks for sharing!
Really picking from the bottom of the barrel, aren't you guys?
We get this comment every episode we do.
+Game Sack But this one is really stretching it...
Donavan McMahon
Stretching what? You're not interested in such games? Or you just like complaining?
+Donavan McMahon Nah, man. Nah. Yah mean?
I'm not complaining? Just stating that the title seems like you're running out of ideas on what to make episodes on. That is all. How about a controllers episode?
Another glorious episode of Game Sack to watch in bed on Sunday morning! This so beats going to church!
You guys really are allergic to PCs aren't you ? Syberia should be played on the PC with the mouse, not with a bloody gamepad which almost all your complaints are centered around.
I didn't see The iDOLM@STER 2 on here at all! Lol
Fun rhythm, idol-raising game
i needs to be said that the thumbnail for this vid is simply glorious.
Shigeru Miyamoto wished he made LittleBigPlanet, then 7 years later goes ahead and makes Super Mario Maker.
Coincidence?
Bit of trivia Joe: Shigeru Myamoto also said if there's one game he'd wish he had made it would be Nights into Dreams. This was way before Little Big Planet came out though

Thank you for providing more information about the songs used in the episode. I am able to actually find the songs now.
Awesome, I've only played one game you mentioned (crazy taxi). Definitely looking forward to playing the others, thanks guys!
this episode reminded me of why I love you guys, I was bummed after the wrestling game episode after a few of the greats were ripped by Joe because I've been waiting for one on that topic, but all was forgotten once I heard your praise for portal, also the crazy taxi guy impression made me legit laugh, and that doesn't happen often watching you guys, great episode guys this is my first comment on here just had to give you props, my favorite episode thus far
+Adid4s R Thanks! Sorry our views didn't line up with yours on wrestling games but I'm glad we redeemed ourselves this episode.
The only games I can think of for now with little to no violence is Disney's Tarzan, Tomba and Tomba 2: The Swine Returns from the PSOne era. Great list, lads. Syberia was such a good game, I had it on PC. It epitomized my golden years of point 'n' click adventure gaming.
Farming Simulator 15
The most chilled game in existence, just running a farm and leaning back in your chair one hand on WASD+Shift+Space and one on the mouse and a big glass of Pepsi
Katamari Damacy would be a good fit for this theme.
Agreed. Too bad we both get motion sickness from that one.
Have you guys done an episode on extreme sports games like Dave Mirra Freestyle, Aggressive Inline or any of the Tony Hawk games?
... and now that thought about Aggressive Inline I got *_*that*_* song stuck in my head.
I always look forward to some sack at the start of the week.
The Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe FTW! You guys left this masterpiece out! How dare you care yourselves gamers!
The crazy taxi part was hilarious!
always when I'm ready to go to bed BOOM new Gamesack video thanks guys
Love Joe's KERRAZY voice. Found it hard watching a player who didn't boost or slide though. Doesn't matter how rusty you are - without learning to boost and controlled power slides there's no chance of a good score or completing the challenges.
Well it kind of DOES matter how rusty you are. I could never get the boost to work consistently.
I love how absurd the sketches are when one of you randomly pulls a gun out.
A few of my favorites would be:
--SimCity -- the original, 2000, 3000, or even pseudo-clones like Cities: Skylines all provide a lot of fun, strategic gameplay with little to no emphasis on violence.
My Sunday is complete now, love you guys!!
LOL now that was some fine acting at the end guys!! Award season is on and it shows!! Great show again! Keep up the good work!
Best topic in a while. Looking forward to the next one.
Another game you guys might check out is puppeteer for the PS3 it does have some violence but it's a really charming platformer.
It's not fully released yet but there is a cool non-violent game coming out (and in early access) called Hover: Revolt of Gamers. It is a free-running sci-fi game with some Jet Set Radio influences.
Wow! When i was watching i thought that that crazy taxi phrase was the audio from the game!! You nailed it perfectly Joe! *o*
