Rui needs to stop trying to play like lebron and stick to shooting...that is what messed his game last season. his perimeter shot has always been money.
they really shouldn't trade Rui if they can. he's got perfect size and he's capable of putting up 30 when he gets the shots. he's also been very good for the Lakers for the most part in limited touches. him and Knecht form a really long 2-4 if they're on the court together too. Imagine those mobile longs with lebron and AD on the court at the same time and they can outsize a lot of teams and still maintain mobility. they really need a big center tho.

Rui is not a spot up shooter and trying to force him in to that role takes him away from everything else he can do. Ham crippled the Lakers in all kinds of ways. Three guard lineups instead of taking advantage of our size on defense. All that one on one everyone get out of the way with no off ball motion killed us..

@@piplonf8591 when used consistently and to his strengths he's a beast. It's easy to get in a slump. 3 guard lineups were poison to the Lakers chemistry. He didn't play well all season. He had a bad start. He turned it around. And Hams lack of creativity was predictable.

with the correct coach and running plays like japan, he will be one of the best bench shooter and can slot into the starting lineup from time to time. During his time with darvin ham as the coach on the lakers, he just stand at one corner doing nothing and only sometime cut to the basket, why not run more plays for rui. Now all lakers fan are trying to trade him saying that he suck just because lakers lost to the nuggets. In the first place, he was not supposed to be in the starting lineup and vando was supposed to be in the starting lineup. I am sure the lakers will regret trading this guy. Although i admit that his defense is still not very good but he is damn hell good of a role player.

How hard is it for you casuals to understand that players play different roles depending on their team. On the lakers he's a 4th or 5th option, OBVIOUSLY hes not gonna have games like this all the time on that team.
