  • Oh my goodness every stash busting video ever in one place!
The 'links in the description' aspect of this one proved a nightmare. The only feasible way I could do it was to simply link to the original videos. So if you see something you like, look up which month it's from using the chapter titles, follow the link below to that original video and then use the description of THAT video to find what you're looking for.
Not ideal I know but I simply didn't have the space for 6 hrs worth of links!

When I had my disability, five years ago, I gave up crafting because I suffer from chronic pain and fatigue. I found your youtube videos by chance and they were the kick up the b** I needed. I have been disabled for years now , I know I would not still be here without my craft . I thank my grandmother every day for sharing her love of crafts with me . We spend long hours spinning , weaving, and crocheting, and Knitting. . When I am in pain, Knitting takes my mind off it. Moths are my nightmare , I found an Australian native bushfood soap that hangs in your stash, killing moth

My fingers literally ache when I crochet because I have fine motor skill issues with my grip and fatigue easily, and stopped crocheting as a result. I couldn't motivate myself to do it anymore. So I decided to teach myself how to knit! Does it hurt? Yes. But it gives my heart so much joy.

If you’re keeping up with your Ravelry stash, you can export the data, do a sum of the “remaining grams” column, then divide by 50 to find how many 50g balls are in your stash at the moment! I have about 4 years left of stash (I started tracking last year at 5 years, expecting 50g per week), and I am actually excited to knit with almost all the yarn in my stash now! Yay!

it's never too late to start a new hobby
crochet and knitting is (okay, *can be*) very relaxing and mentally stimulating craft. bonus is that you get pretty things in the end
try it out if it feels fascinating! You can get thicker, acrilic yarn and needles/ crochet hook from local charity shop because people get rid of these regularly
there are endless tutorials and blogs for everything you can imagine
I think everyone should try it. It just feels amazing (when you get over first confusion-frustration)

And then my sister-in-law gave me the entirety of her yarn stash when she decided she was done crafting. So I'm currently working my way through a mountain of fiber. I feel you. 😢 Only for me it was a mouse 🐀🐁 infestation several years ago. Only store items in glass, metal or heavy duty plastic, mostly clear. I use baskets for everyday use, produce, throws, etc. but any long term is mouse proof. Dried wormwood is pretty to look at and is supposed to be a pest deterrent. Easy to grow perennial. If you plant around perimeter of garden is supposed to deter critters from munching your plants. Worth a try along with other measures. Only thing worse was dealing with fleas when I lived on yard of very sandy soil. Now I worry about bedbugs from other tenants. Wonder if wormwood keeps them away as well. 😊 TFS

Fortunately, I don't have much of a stash of knitting yarn. I tend to buy project by project. My fabric stash on the other hand is definitely out of control. I've got a new grandchild on the way, so I decided to pick up a project my mother started about 8 years ago, a lace baby shawl. Mum died 3 years ago this month so it's about time to get this done. You are keeping me company while I swear at this pattern! I know now why she abandoned it. 😤
