There is one thing we learn from the books, Artemis Fowl cannot catch. He has no physical skills whatsoever.
in fact it took him a whole year traveling in the artic circle and traveling through plasma fluid before he could catch a coin.

This scene is the most true to the book of Artemis Fowl than the entire movie!
Not even. He didn't give her the Drug shot and her transformation was extremely rushed. The acting was also extremely shitty. The only redeeming part of the movie was Holly short who was basically the only one who was somewhat true to the book character minus the whole father plot. If you take that away she's basically the best thing about the ENTIRE movie. Aside from that everything else is trash and Kenith Branagh should be ashamed and never again allowed to touch fantasy/fictional stories again.

@@infinitesession5439 still, in terms of story, it’s how he learns about them, believes them (in terms of the movie), and probably gains knowledge about them in general. The acting yes was shitty but overall, it’s important to have it adapt the book, and just allow the movie to have more understanding

So that's Opal Koboi, a natural and beautiful fairy who is an enemy to defeat Artemis Fowl and his heroines from taking the book.
I still have issues with this scene and think it could be much improved yet how is it that it is still the most faithful scene....and it was deleted. I would have accepted a movie that was this faithful but rushed. Not what we got, even ceaser was betrayed this badly

Disney changed everything: they took out the magic book, the gold, his mother, Artemis' villainous persona, Holly's backstory and story arc, most of Juliet's and Foaly's scenes, and the fact that Mulch is a dwarf. And yet the film is only 95 minutes long.

So they decided to put the stupid surfing scene over this? I understand it's not the most faithful adaptation of the scene from the book but it's 100% better than most of the entire movie and yet they still decided it should be deleted wtf. Kenneth Branaugh dude what the fuck were you thinking. Also who ever casted this kid did a horrible job. Kid can't act for shir but I also blame Kenneth for not doing a better job. He could've directed this kid better. I know from experience how bad actors can be if not pulled in the right direction and when they are good it can be magical.
