  • When trials and tests come, how do you react? Do you become selfish and scared, or do you face the challenges with patience, faith, and love for others? How you react could change your life and the lives of those around you, for better or worse.
Elder James B. Martino taught, “In our trials, let us not become bitter or uncommitted, but let us follow the Savior’s example of becoming more earnest, more sincere, and more faithful. ... Let us not complain, … let us serve others, and let us forgive one another. As we do this, all things will work together for good to us that love God.”

That moment when your name is actually Matthew and this video hits you right in the soul. How thankful I am for this

I needed this so much. I was feeling so lost and alone, and I was blaming my parents, especially my father for everything. He's given so much pain... it's so hard to forgive. I felt so alone, then I felt impressed to check the mormon channel, and I immediately clicked on this video... Heavenly Father really does answer prayers. I can't even describe how amazing this is to me.

Cut to the core right now. Ironically, and not to my credit, my first thought was how much other people needed to see this. Then the irony of that thought hit me. I really needed this.

I believe it was a wise and deliberate choice of the artists responsible for this piece who chose to have the “dad” or Father spoken to for advice be accessed only by phone. This seems that it could be a symbol for prayer to and revelation from our Heavenly Father.
I love symbolism in both art and the gospel. When they are combined, it is especially significant.

+clidelivingston I will pray very hard for both, this video is the answer I asked to my Heavenly Father few hours ago outside the Temple. I know in my heart He love us. Today at Church I learned to be grateful for our trials .... is not easy right? but at the end He is reserving the best for us, Pray always and follow Him. You will be ok. Greetings from Utah.

we all face challenges and trials and we felt no courage to do something, we have fear that you might feel embarrassed or someone harassed you for a mistake and feel like no ones here for you, but the lord is here for you and want to help you become good and go to the right path, Jesus want you to do good but also don't feel embarrassed of doing something and have faith on doing it even though you do not feel confident, Jesus promise that I'll be aright that it's okay to do it and want you do good and try to do the best you can to help, amen

I needed this. This past week I was rear ended as I was driving home from work and then, a couple days later, the girl I was dating told me she didn't want to see me anymore which broke my heart.
I went to church the following day still saddened and sat through Sunday school. I was SO touched by the Spirit and knew that the lesson was just for me, but when this video was shown at the very end of the lesson I sat there in the middle of the class in awe and sobbed as I FELT the Love of God.
    John 3:16
"Maybe it takes looking outside of yourself." -Heavenly Father speaking to me.

well..I don't mean to be rude. I love the fact that you were able to feel something I never felt at church. but isn't that just a bit unhealthy to rely on god for happiness and wisdom? wouldn't it be better to know and understand you should be a good person regardless of stuff like that, to understand you don't need to be religious in order to be a good humble person.

I just reflected about reflecting. It was like a reflection inception.
I love the idea of looking outside of ourselves. The Savior is a prime example of that. I hope to emulate him in all that I say and do, keeping in mind the most important things in life. Besides, there's so much more to us than what we see in the mirror.

What a beautiful and powerful message! There is a Father that is always "still there," listening, loving, and seeking to turn our eyes and hearts outward - beyond our own reflection to the people we can reach out to in love. Trials turn to triumph, stumbling stones turn to stepping stones - only through Him! #headofthecorner

In our trials, let us not become bitter or uncommitted, but let us follow
the Savior’s example of becoming more earnest, more sincere, and more
    faithful.
As we pass through the trials of life, let us keep an eternal perspective,
let us not complain, let us become even more prayerful, let us serve others,
and let us forgive one another. As we do this, “all things will work
together for good to us that love God.” -James B. Martino

Great message. It's important, though, to remember that being a good person should be above what gods you worship. Being a kind, thoughtful, selfless person is the most important thing in this world, regardless of how you identify yourself. That's the beauty of humanity, not of religion.
