The History of the Church is Not Like a Disney Movie... and that's a good thing.

I've come to understand that the history of the Church of Latter-day Saints, isn't as straightforward as I once thought. The simple narratives I grew up with have been replaced by a realization that life is full of complexities and gray areas. But amid all these complexities, I've found a grounding peace in the teachings of Jesus Christ. In a world that often rushes to judgment, I've learned to appreciate the Gospel's call for deeper understanding and perspective. Through all the chaos and challenges, Jesus Christ's consistent message of love and acceptance continues to be the compass that guides my life.

Agree 100%. I’ve had similar thoughts over the years. I remember when I first heard of Rough Stone rolling it was from an anti Mormon Protestant minister. He thought I should read it and that I would see that Joseph Smith was a fraud. Instead it strengthened my testimony by making Joseph a real human and not a caricature or fairy tale. I love the complexity of church history.
