@churchofjesuschristgeneralconf actually tomorrow I'm meeting with two brothers. I never knew until recently my grandfather was a church member. I have cousins in Arizona and Utah members as well. I am in the middle of a spiritual reawakening. It's as if my Grandfather is calling out to me in spirit if that makes any sense. Can't wait to talk and pray with the brothers tomorrow.
I was a member of the church. I have lived a life of sin. I am an addict of two of the things that President Nelson talked about it his talk. I know first-hand how being addicted to these two things can make you feel. I have lived with guilt for so many years. My testimony and my faith they're still there but very weak. I feel very unclean very dirty almost like there's no hope. I have a great friend of mine that is working with me to help me take the necessary steps come back to church and to one day be worthy enough to be re-baptized I would love to feel peace and to be loved by Our Father in heaven. I have a long way to go.
You will be rewarded along the way. God loves effort.
Just don’t give up Nate. Heavenly Father and Jesus love you beyond all understanding. Jesus died on the cross for all of us. Everyone of us. And that absolutely includes you. Don’t let the adversary convince you that it’s not worth trying. Because that is a total lie. It is 100% worth trying. Each and every day, just keep trying. Here a little, and there a little, and before you know it, you will have made a lot of progress. I’m a convert to this Church for over 27 years, and it was the best decision I have ever made. I’m rooting for you Nate, and your in my most sincere prayers. You can make it my friend, with Jesus by your side, you can absolutely make it!😊🙏👍🏼
Heavenly Father meets you where you ARE. Right now. As you are. At this moment. He LOVES YOU AS YOU ARE. Right now. As you are. At this moment. We choose to be better for OURSELVES. Do not change for someone else. It won’t work. Do it for you and your own peace, BUT… know you are loved NO MATTER WHAT. Watch the movie “The Shack” when you won’t be interrupted. You are never too far to feel of Jesus Christ’s peace and hope. Even if you can have a desire to believe in His hope, pray to feel it. Let that prayer guide you. He will and surely answers all prayers if you do your part to receive them. You will increase in your Hope and that Hope will drive love, which will then drive change. The beauty of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is the freedom and power to “Go and sin no more”. You have the choice even now.
Will you fall short? That’s up to you. But even if you do… you are every bit as capable to restart even minutes after falling short. Keep choosing to restart. Keep resetting and keep moving forward. You will find yourself out of the quicksands of life sooner than you would expect… but you’ve got to trudge forward rather than wait for tomorrow. It is only in forward momentum that you can ascend, even if in small increments at first.
He hasn't stopped loving you, not even once! It is because of His perfect love that you can fully repent and come back to His presence. Never doubt His love for you, it never changes. We just need to work on ourselves and return to Him. He will help us if we are willing to try again. With Christ it's never too late. Everything good is possible with Him. Pick up the pieces and yoke yourself with Him, He will make the burden light. I pray that you will be blessed to feel His love, peace, and forgiveness ❤🙏🏿.

I am a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian but I love President Nelson’s message. He is so blessed and humble May the good LORD continue blessing him. The message is powerful.
President Nelson’s message is powerful because the Spirit of God witnesses to the divine truth of it, and that he is the Lord’s prophet on the earth today.
I also humbly testify, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I have never felt the spirit as strongly as I have listening to your talk. You ARE the prophet on the earth today just as prophets as old. As tears streamed down my face over and over as desperate prayers were answered with your words by the Holy Ghost, I knew and I know that God and Jesus Christ live and are aware of me. I want nothing more than to live with them and I will do everything and anything I can to think celestial so one day I may inherit the kingdom of God. I felt Jesus Christ and God's arms around me, and I know that if I think celestial, I will one day hug both of them in the celestial kingdom. I look forward to that day. Thank you truly from the bottom of my heart for your inspired words and your validity of the representative of Jesus Christ, chosen by God, on the earth today.
Could you tell me your personal experience about the comment of food addiction being offensive to God? Thanks.
Are you asking sincerely?.... Or being a smarty?... There people who find solace in eating food when they become depressed and it becomes an addiction.People can and do become addicted to just about anything....You can mock or make fun of this message but truth is truth. He states ANY addiction. And anyways if someone where to share their personal story of food addiction would you believe them? Would it change your mindset? Would you suddenly agree with what the Prophet and his message is?...I doubt it....
@@rdancranston I agree with you. God doesn’t like addiction because when we are addiction, we are not free, we are not happy. God wants us to be free. He knows that the only real freedom, joy and happiness will be found in Him and Christ. The Saviour is the Prince of Peace, He is the Life and the Light.
I think it was a genuine question. Maybe this person knows someone with food addiction and would like to know how to help that person.
This really hits home, I am so blessed to have found the restored gospel 2 years ago.

I am in Bangkok Thailand and I woke up to the news that a temple will be built in my hometown of Huancayo, Peru! This is amazing!
My grandparents were the second family to be baptized in Huancayo, when services were conducted by young missionaries in a rental room close to a military base in the 60s. My grandma was the first stake Relief Society president when the first stake was established in the 80s. My family helped to build chapels with their hands, carried stones and cooked meals for builders. It is so emotional for us to see the Lord blessing my city in the Peruvian Andes. Thank you prophet for your inspired revelation!
My family were the first one to be baptized in La Oroya ❤ I share all the gratitude feelings with you, this new temple is going to bless all the member in all the center of Peru. 🎉

I’m not an LDS member or religious, but President Nelson is objectively an amazing human being who has served humanity well-as a leading surgeon and as a man of faith. He’s also a living, breathing advertisement for clean living and a life of service.
He is an astounding example of love and patience. He truly is one of the greatest examples I’ve seen of the Bible verse: “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

That stood out to me.
I fell off the recovery wagon shortly after baptism. I’m a 27 year old man who’s been converting over the past few years and was baptized 3-4 months ago.
I hear the voice of Satan all the time. I don’t know if I thought of it in so many words, but I feel in my bones that, years ago, wretched and evil man that I had become, homeless and addicted to crystal meth…I sold my soul to Satan-or, I tried; not sure that was ever a valid contract.
The Holy Ghost offered me God and a better way shortly before the climax of what was essentially a dark, ritualistic behavior I don’t want to describe; a behavior I engaged in whilst I chose with the words in heart and my mind to exchange goodness for unholy pleasure. His Ghost let me know that the Lord is God and offered me a way out…and I told that Ghost to kick rocks.
I wanted to be evil, even knowing that God is good and Lord of all.
I left true evil in the waters of the baptism, but I haven’t been able to shake this sense that I’m not eligible for the Celestial Kingdom anymore. I haven’t been able to shake the sense that I, in that moment, committed unforgivable Blasphemy Against the Holy Ghost.
I’ve lied, cheated, stolen, and behaved abusively this week. I fell back into methamphetamine and lustful acts last night through this morning.
I…I felt my mind split double. I recall James 1:6-8 and count myself the double-minded man who should not expect the Lord’s blessings.
I don’t really want this. I wanna see the temple, man. In my heart of hearts I’d give all that I have just to abide with Heavenly Father, Mother in Heaven who I believe rescued me from committing a capital crime against a young woman during the darkest night of my soul, and my Savior, Jesus the Christ, who saved my soul after She cleansed me of the evil spell under which I somehow thought it was okay to do the unspeakable to some poor woman and probably wind up executed since I only halfway cared whether I got caught.
I was such a bad man. Even now that I’ve fallen off the wagon this week, I know the baptism is true because I know restraint, I care about the fact that my behavior hurts others, Im not using with reckless abandon just breaking down and just like failing to be sober not willfully trading God for drugs so much…
I’m still doing the best I’ve ever done at being a decent man even though that may sound weird from someone who just stole to finance drug abuse. My behavior is terrible but I’m not like literally evil. I really want to do better!
I just have this lack of confidence that I CAN do better. I never doubt my intelligence or strengths of greatness…I’m actually extremely gifted with many talents like higher mathematics, music, writing…
I just find it so hard to shake the feeling that I’ll never really be good, only just less thoroughly wicked.
But when the prophet said, “You get to choose…”
Idk something in me cracked and inspired me to write all this. I guess I…Satan breaks me down so constantly and with such vitriol…screaming curses and how I’ll never really do right so I might as well serve him again…tryna make me hate myself and like…
I hear the adversary so loudly all the time, “you go steal those tools! You go hit that pipe! You go hurt yourself! Get in that fight! You’ll be doomed if you don’t tell that lie!”
I forgot I get to choose whether I’m gonna sin or do right! Like I still can’t believe it! I guess I don’t understand like…I’m allowed to stop the drugs and violence against myself and others for good. I don’t HAVE to give in!
I can’t see a way out of this one. I have so many behavioral and psychiatric issues…so much PTSD and so many addictions, so many abusive and self-destructive patterns of behavior even still; I’ve failed out of rehab multiple times and been told by a brilliant psychiatrist that I have extremely slim odds of living a normal life and not dying violently or doing serious prison time or just frying my brain beyond the hope of full recovery…
I’m watching this and I’m thinking…maybe…I don’t have to listen to that evil voice anymore. Maybe I can withstand the torment he throws at me when I dare disobey him and act right.
Maybe, just like the baptism made me at least like focused on goodness and really trying to live spiritual…
Maybe if I can just see the inside of that temple…
Maybe I can refuse to lie, steal, fight, drink, smoke, or drug no matter how insane the torment gets; no matter how many intrusive voices and disturbing images this dark being in my head punishes me with when I dare stay sober…
Maybe if I can just get inside that temple and stay worthy for like idk 2 weeks…maybe it will stick.
Maybe Satan can’t follow me there.
I just wanna go where he can’t follow me and I can be with God, man. I don’t want this!
I just wanna go to the temple so bad. Somehow I have this idea that if I can make it to the inside and abide in the full presence of the Lord…
The Lord will make foolish the wisdom of this world which says that it is virtually impossible for a man like me to be cured and live forever clean.
All of my hope is in the name of Jesus man.
I believe what the prophet says. So I’m choosing to believe that I DO have a choice. I don’t HAVE to do what Satan wants anymore, and the already-miraculous healing the Lord has granted me CAN be complete.
Pray it be so, man. I’ve been calling rehabs, and I want this rehab to be the last one. I’ve half a mind to toss my tobacco and like pour out all the coffee (except my mom’s! She’d be VERY upset lol.)
God bless you all and whoever might read all this. Pray for me that I find the strength to withstand the adversary. I’m dealing with torment and temptations that just aren’t fair.

Thanks for sharing! You are in my prayers. In your journey towards God and recovery, if you want him to help you, he will. You should pray for help multiple times a day, listen to what he tells you, and try to make small and simple good choices often. It can be very difficult at times to try to make good choices, and you will at times most likely slide back into old habits, but over time as long as you are making good progress, and don't ever give up hope, God will be with you in every step you take towards a holier life. He loves you so very much, and wants you to be with him. Try not to beat yourself up. It's difficult to do that, but it's worth the effort. You should also try to do The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints addiction recovery programs. Talk to your bishop to try to make arrangements to sign up for these amazing life-changing programs.

I am still alive today because of the loving mercy and great love Jesus has for me! Last year, I didn't think I would make it through the summer. Through a blessing, He gave me renewed hope and faith and allowed me more time here on earth to help with more missions. I hope to help bring souls to God.

But something that i want to share with you is this Christmas gift i got one year, years ago I too felt low, alone, depressed and nearly at the edge and end of my rope. I'm glad to say that my Christmas gift was the knowledge that I am not alone. There are so many people on both sides of the veil that want whats best for you. To cheer you forward on this one wild crazy journey we call life. We have to make sure that we look out for our family in all respects, because like it or not, everyone is your family. Comes with being a child of a loving Heavenly Father, but also the responsibility of knowing that we have agency and sometimes folks decisions impact us in not great ways. We still need everyone each and every person. We are all children of our Heavenly Father who loves us enough to send his son in sacrifice for all our sins, struggles and hopes, for these reasons we have cause for gratitude. This i leave you in the name of pur Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

I can testify the validity of the Talks that President Russell M Nelson gives us from Our Saviour Jesus Christ. I have been a member since 1975, and the changes started for me in 2005, when walking to then the Santa Monica Ward, and the Holy Spirit came and said I needed to move to Arizona, (My youngest son had moved there with his girlfriend and her mother) He said this to me twice, and I thought to myself I did not want to move there. However not saying anything to anyone, when Sacrament was over my Bishop told me he wanted to speak with me, and I thought I was in Trouble for something, however, he was smiling so, ok, I am not in trouble. I went in and he said to me, "Sister Sabido, when the Holy Spirit says you need to go to Arizona you need to go!" I was taken aback, as I had just been told that on the way to church and had not spoken to me. He did give an explanation as to how he knew. I did move to Arizona in 2005, and the Saviour Jesus Christ started to mold me into the person he wanted me to have a chance to be. I am a full tithe Payer along with Fast Offerings. I was Lead Family History Consultant, and Sunday school greeter. All of these calling have helped me as well as attending the Temple. I am blest that all the love that Heavenly Father has for us, can not only be given by just listening and obeying what The Holy Spirit has been sent to guide us with Can Help us to Think Celestial. now a member 49 years I am finally shone more than I could ever known. I know Russell M Nelson is our Modern day Prophet, and We are so blessed that he is here in addition to the Holy Spirit to give us directions that Heavenly Father wants so much for us to learn so we can have the Celestial life. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ.
100 years of experience. It is worth our time listening to such wisdom. I am going through the hardest emotional time of my life. His reminder to think Celestial was powerful.
This talk is the message I need from the lord. It’s like the savior was talking THROUGH his voice! This has changed my relationship with Heavenly Father too. Love you President Nelson! ❤️

"Think Celestial" ...those two words were written in my book of remebrance by fellow missionaries at the conclusion of their parting words during transfer day. As i watched and listened to Our Father's message thru you President Nelson i felt from The Spirit the new meaning of those words and commit to do better and the best i could to help myself and my family and those who are entrusted to us to begin daily with the end in mind and garnish our thoughts unceassingly with those two powerful words..."THINK CELESTIAL" thank you,thank you,thank you President Nelson we will always pray for you and your family and all church leaders.
Or as the scriptures say, "let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly" 😊

His message on thinking Celisteal was truly a Devine message!!!!!;!;; I just found out that I have cancer and I'm doing my best to think positive and fight this cancer with everything I am!!!;;!!! Some days it's hard so I try and be positive!!!!!!! Dear President Nelson please be positive too in all your own ailments and I will too ;;!;!!!!! This is exactly why it's strange that he said other organizations don't influence our life in the eternal world. By the logic of this statement, having a job and generating an income, and paying for improvements based on the principle of work shouldn't have any influence on our life in the eternal world, yet these other organizations also contribute to making our mortal life the best it can be, meaning they are things that can make life throughout eternity also the best it can be. But that dissonance will go over he heads of 90% of the people commenting
@@marcusjosephmusic Could it be that possibly he meant by following the commandments of God in this mortal life the values and character we acquire will be the values we retain after this life and make it the best. Undoubtably work, serving others and many other factors improve our lives and others in this life but the core value of living the commandments will be the most of what we take with us. Blessings

I know for myself by the power of the Holy Ghost that President Russell M. Nelson is God's prophet on the earth today, given authority from God to receive revelation for the entire world. This talk- and all of the talks President Nelson has given as a general authority in the Church of Jesus Christ, especially the last several given as the prophet- is a message from God to His children on the earth today. This is what we need to do. If we all do our best to follow this counsel, we will be blessed by God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit to overcome the individual hardships in our lives and to dissolve the larger societal conflicts of our era. There will be commentators who work the works of satan. Remember what the Book of Mormon has taught:
1 Nephi chapter 8:

You can always rest assured that anyone who seeks to mock or tear you down is part of the great and spacious building, and in turn works the works of satan. The Savior taught in the Bible that His disciples are known by their love. Ridicule, contention, mocking has never and will never be the way of Jesus Christ. Any who follow those ways, are not His.
Don’t heed the wicked or you will be ashamed and fall away. Always keep your focus on the fruit of the tree of life, which is Jesus Christ’s love. Heed not what anyone will or can say, because you know the love you’ve felt. Never give that love away for anyone.
“33 And great was the multitude that did enter into that strange building. And after they did enter into that building they did point the finger of scorn at me and those that were partaking of the fruit also; but we heeded them not.
34 These are the words of my father: For as many as heeded them, had fallen away.”
Remember that the world fought against the Savior and His apostles:
“35 And the multitude of the earth was gathered together; and I beheld that they were in a large and spacious building, like unto the building which my father saw. And the angel of the Lord spake unto me again, saying: Behold the world and the wisdom thereof; yea, behold the house of Israel hath gathered together to fight against the twelve apostles of the Lamb”. You will face resistance and scoffing and ridicule, but the Master we follow showed us we can bear it.

In our church, The President, counsel, apostles, 70, etc. are called by God. When our President dies, there is no commotion about who the next president will be. We already know. There is order. When the Pope dies, it takes some time for a new one to be selected, during which there is no direct leader.
While there are similarities, there are differences.
Ladder Day Saints n thank you. You do realize that there can be only one church on earth that is commissioned n authorized by Jesus Christ. I know for myself that The Book of Mormon is true as well as other standard works/ books the church has. I know the Lord leads this church. He has proven it. Hope you decide to explore it further.
