Couches have longer driveshaft & midshaft with the pump tunnel and bulkhead further back/further away from the engine then a standup, you might be able to cut out the middle section and shorten and relocate the bulkhead and motor mounts. Your need epoxy resin, west system is one good brand. The 300 is SMC, so you CANT use polyester (wont stick).

You Should of left all the gear bolted in the bed then cut off the top and just put the 300 top shell over the over one. Easier to line up then remove stuff and glass it. Good idea and effort though and looking forward to seeing it.

      True, that’s a good idea!

Definitely going to need to do some work to that stock 760 to get enough bottom end out of it to flip. It's more of a top speed motor than getting there very fast

Also west systems epoxy will be what you want to use to glass the pump tunnel in.
As for the motor mounts I would recommend making an adapter plate to go from the 300sx motor mount locations to the Yamaha mount locations and to use the stock Yamaha rubber motor mounts. This way you can set the motor back far enough to make blackflips easier and reduce the weight you're adding. I think you need a 1/2 inch thick plate to achieve that.
I would completely remove the stock 300sx firewall/pump tunnel and glass in the firewall/through hull bearing into the 300sx and the pump tunnel separately as that will be easier than trying to make an adapter that will use the stock 300sx firewall with the Yama through hull bearing

@@NastyMoto yeah no problem. I've heard of people glassing in the bottoms of superjets, but the sitdowns have the motor too far forward to work for sure. What I described is my plan for my 300sx/701 swap over the winter
