I've went on hundreds of overnighters in my life. The one item I have always taken with me except in winter is a mosquito net, it has literally saved my life a few times and when compressed down take up no room hardly and they are very light. Great camping to you great video. 😊
Thank you! I might start taking one myself. Bugs have been something I've not been very good at combating. They are probably the single most miserable thing to deal with while camping. Thanks for watching!
Love the browse bed. I wonder if it would help to dig a little hollow for hips and shoulders(?) I need to experiment with that myself. I love the wool blanket too. Thanks for the great video.
You’ve done an excellent job documenting your overnight stay with a minimum kit. Goes to show that we can spend an evening (or two) in the woods and be fairly comfortable without a heavy load out. I’m set up in a very similar way with the exception of a lightweight hammock to sleep in. Whenever possible my body now prefers the hammock over sleeping on the ground. The lightweight hammock doesn’t take up much space in my kit and my old bones sure feel better the next morning. Thanks for sharing your adventure and we look forward to watching your next. - Tennessee Smoky
Thanks a lot for your time! I've actually considered tossing in my lightweight hammock. They're far more comfortable for sure. Next video should be another overnighter with my heavy duty haversack. Hoping to learn what works and what doesn't and possibly make some adjustments to both. I'm constantly changing things around and trying new things anyway. God bless! Really appreciate the encouragement 👍

Thoroughly enjoyable video to watch. Calming and really nicely shot and edited. Thanks for taking us on the trip and bravo for being a real wild crafter…..loved it.
Tbis is the best way to camp been doing it for years and i cant go back as mich as i want to. Im so glad you did this. If it was your first time I'm really impressed very well put together kit that works for you. Dont let anyone else dictate what you actually need. We are all different. My friend this video was bonkers cool🎉
Thanks a lot, man! It worked out pretty well. This was my first time with this minimal gear. I really appreciate the encouraging words. Won't forget bug spray next time. I've been bitten worse though.
@@awayinthewilderness4319 oh yeah youve got nuggets doing thst in the summer. I usually Carry my kijaro in the haversack in the summer to get off the ground.
Just remember in the summertime if you're hot don't use a ground pad because that same conviction that kills you in the winter will save you in the summer. The ground under your pad it'll be soft and it's still suck the heat out of you she can be comfortable tonight
Felt pretty rushed as I only had about 2.5 - 3 hours of daylight left by the time I got out there. That included a 1 mile trek. I was worried how it would turn out, but overall I was happy with it. Gotta make do when you still have to work. Thanks a lot for watching, Corley. I appreciate your time!

@@offthecouch1999 considering that myself 😄. Those hammocks are super lightweight and packable.
@@offthecouch1999 Actually got a little chilly in the early morning. Not chilly enough to ever get under the wool blanket, but a little chilly.

nice video what size was the blanket thanks for the video
Just a twin size. 👍 Thanks for watching
Camping has never been so quiet.
Great Video.! Can you please state what brand is your blanket that you are using. Thanks.
That one is just a cheap Fox Outdoor wool blanket. I believe it's a 50/50 blend. Not 100% wool. Thanks for watching! 👍
