Nice! I bought a Kioti CX2510 last year with back hoe, bucket, pallet forks and Grapple. I love it. Done so much work around my camp with it. I enjoyed your walk around video. Pretty neat how close these tractors are. Almost seems like they are built in the same factory (though I know they are not) they just compete very closely with each other. I have used the back hoe a lot on mine digging around stumps and pulling them up. Also works great for planting trees. Sure beats digging a hole with a shovel. LOL The grapple has been my most prized possession. I have moved logs, rock, stump and brush piles with it.
just ordered one today and like you after many reviews on all tractors. I got the 25hp with agg tires, bucket. backhoe and 4ft brush cutter cheaper than kobata/johndeer with just a bucket. The warranty out weights any competitor.
Congratulations Jerry, how long did they tell you it will take to come in? Have the waits come down a bit? I am already at almost 50 hours on it already, been working it pretty hard, and everything still working well, no major issues yet.
I too have bought a rk 25. I love it . The tool box you got is mounted under the backhoe seat on mine. Seems to be a good spot. It was mounted when I bought it.
Sounds like they figured out fairly quick that where mine was wasn't a good spot :) Thanks Ron for the comment, very much appreciated. Continue to enjoy that RK25. I just hit 230 hours, and still very pleased with my choice.
Great tractors. I just saw these RK 25s on the lot at my local Rural King and they look pretty sweet. I've had my RK 55 hydro cab tractor for over a year now and I love it.
Ahhhh, an enclosed cab, that would be nice. I'm wondering if they will offer that in the future on the rk25, I'm assuming they will. Thanks for the feedback James!!!
A problem that happens occasionally is that the tractor blows the engine stop fuse and the engine stops. Replacing it will make it run, maybe for hours. The problem seems, at least sometimes, to be the wires under the large wire bundle on the tractor right side aft near the oil filter. Easy fix but tell RK if it happens to you. Perfect size but needs another 20 hp. I really like it anyway.
I was seriously considering a RK25.......unfortunately for me the closest Rural King store is 3.5 hours away. Instead I bought a Kubota B2601. No regrets......love it.
Hey, something to be said about being close to parts and service. And the B2601 is a fantastic tractor as well. First tractor? I can't imagine the amount of time I have saved by making the decision to buy my first compact tractor. It is a lot of money to put out, but by my calculations, if I were to rent equipment or pay an operator for what I have used it for in the first 6 - 8 months.... I would likely have already spent at least 1/3rd of the cost. So at that rate, looking at a 2-3 year payback on the investment. Enjoy your orange toy, and hope you and your family have a fantastic Holiday Season Brent.
Just stopped by my local RK and they had a sold RK25 on the lot so got to take a close up look. Couple things, this one had the tool box mounted on a metal platform under the seat of the backhoe. Second I was told by the salesperson that due to the full frame mount on the backhoe you can't add a mid mount mower at least without removing the full frame mount. Any if anyone cares with the ROPS folded about 83" high due to when you bend back the angled ROPS (so that you don't hit your head on it on the backhoe) adds to the height.
Thank you Robert for the additional feedback. Heard the same about the mid mount mower. My intent (budget dependent) is to get a 3 pt hitch mounted flail mower as most of my lawn is anything but smooth or grass. What did you think of the RK25 overall?
Nice video! We really like the RK Tractors also. We have done a few videos on them, with more coming out soon! The RK25 is a great size - like you say, bigger than the 24 which is too small for many people, but smaller than the 37, which was too big for some property owners. Really good job explaining your process and the tractor. -Chad #purplecollarlife
I considered an RK55 for a very long time before deciding to step into the utility class and ending up on my Massey Ferguson. I like the value RK brings with standard equipment and price tag. Great video. I just subbed and hope to see more of your tractor in action!
I think you hit it on the 'Value' statement for the RK, and for weekend-users like myself it is hard to beat. If I were looking to log 40 hours per week on a tractor rather than 5, I would look for something a little more commercial grade as well. Thanks for joining, and appreciate the feedback.
Mr. Fournier, thank you for your question. Yes it has been about 3 years, one of the first RK25's delivered in KY. They didn't even have one yet to show me, bought it on faith pretty much as I was there to order an RK24 until the sales rep asked me if I had seen the new "RK25". Very happy I ended up with the bigger RK25. So at this point, I would say I'm a 'weekend' user, not a full time farmer, 440 hours logged so far. My issues to date have been Bluetooth speakers did not connect well when I bought it, somehow fixed itself, but turns out I never use them anyways (Earbuds for me), I got a flat front tire, due to me driving over something, my fault. Lost 2 wheel lug nuts, taught me to check them occasionally (have not lost one since I added the wheel spacers / video available on my channel), and that is pretty much it. I would also add that at least 200 of my 400+ hours were using the backhoe or a PTO implement, so not just 'driving around', I've worked it hard, but not abusive. It has certainly paid for itself for me anyways already. I do worry about long term ongoing support for the tractor from RK, however knowing it is the same as the TYM T25 gives me some relief in that I can always order the same parts from TYM if necessary. To summarize, I am very happy. But, if I were a full time farmer kind of guy, just for the peace of mind, I might have considered a more expensive brand like a Massey or a Kubota, but for my needs, the RK25 works. I hope this has helped answer your question in some way. Looking forward to getting it out in the garden this weekend with a mid-buster on the back to harvest my potatoes.
Cant beat RK or Mahindra tractors . Great value for the money and very reliable. They are little heavier than their orange or green cousins lol Dual hydro pumps is what sold me my Mhindra emax 22 tlb.
Thanks Dudley, I'm amazed at what the RK25 (yes TYM R25) is capable of for the price, I'm certain the rk37 even moreso. Did you go for the enclosed cab?
Hey Chris I've viewed this twice. I really like this RK25 tractor. I have 13 acres and 3 years ago I bought a J.D 3025e which is a nice tractor but watching UA-cam I've learnt that the RK brand has a whole lot more options and implements that aren't even an option for my J.D. I also have seen they are stout and pack a pretty good punch. I wish you the best of luck with your RK tractor.
Dean, much appreciated. For many folks I believe it is an excellent choice. Hey, if you have not already done so, send me your address to cwgeocacher@gmail.com and I would be very happy to send you a TNT magnet for your tool box 🙂
Awesome Jason... curious how the supply chain issues of last year are currently. How long did they tell you before you got your tractor, or did they have it on the lot? Did you go for the backhoe, or front loader only? If you have not already, please hit subscribe, I just ordered some Bora wheel spacers for the RK25 and will be doing a video when they arrive (could be 4 weeks though). My lot is about 2/3 on a slope, and I have yet to find myself in an uncomfortable position (tipsy) yet as the RK25 is already pretty stout and with the loaded tires seems very well planted to the ground, but thought I would give them a try to see if they actually make any difference. Keep me posted, let me know when you get your RK25, send me a picture and I'll put it in a future video :)
@@TryNewThings The RK 21 and RK 24 are the only ones that had on the lot. They said the tractor should ship in 10 working days. I went with the front loader only and R14 tires. Can't wait to put it to work!
@@TryNewThings the supply chain thing sux. been waiting on a 3rd function for almost 6 months now, and i paid in full up front. there's another guy who has also been waiting as long as i have for his 3rd function, same store. called 2 different tym dealers to sus out the 3rd function kit for the t25 and no luck. they couldn't cross reference the part #. one tym dealer didn't call back, and the other went to investigate inventory and they never called back. i had hoses made to run all the way back to the rear remotes (from a john deere dealership of all places), but haven't fabricated brackets for that setup yet because of the heat. smh...
I just got the exact same tractor. So far I'm happy. Thing to note for me at least, getting the backhoe I didn't get the mid PTO and was told I couldn't get the mid mow deck due to the full frame backhoe. I kind of wanted the mid PTO for future use of a mid mount deck so that was a surprise. A good surprise was that the tire came loaded with liquid for weight where that's not an option on the 24.
My RK25 was one of two in the first delivery here locally. The other one ordered did not come with a backhoe or a mid PTO... My 'lawn' used to be a pasture of some sort so I am leaning towards getting a flail mower anyways vs a deck mower. Like yourself, very happy to find out the tires were loaded as well, think that will do a lot to add to capability and stability of the tractor. Couple questions for you if I may... (1) why did you decide to go with the backhoe? Similar reason to my own, or is that something you will be able to consistently put to good use? (2) Did you get a chance to see one before you bought one, or did you go on gut decision as well? Thank you very much John for the comments, much appreciated. Not much out there on the RK25 for obvious reasons so far. I will put up some additional videos as I work through the many projects on the property. Need to really start with some landscaping and moving piles of dirt from one spot to another, and they I need to pretty quickly swap over to the back of the tractor and put the backhoe to work digging a trench and installing a catch basin and drainage pipe to keep the water away from the new barn..
@@TryNewThings I got the backhoe for near the exact same reason as you. My property gets considerable water and I have busted field tiles all over my property likely from the 50s and 60s so renting whenever I had both time and money just didn't make sense. I did not get a chance to see the 25 first what researched what was out there for the TYM 25 which is essential the same with different branding. Still not alot about that one either so it was mostly gut and trust that it would be good and better than the 24. I agree with you on the mower, the more I think about it the more I think a three point would be better. One of these days I'll get the courage together to attempt taking the backhoe off and hook up the grader box I also purchased with it and see what kind of a chore that is lol.
Maybe I can let you know about the box grader. That is high on my list to fix and maintain my new gravel drive. Was rutted up quite a bit by the cranes, delivery trucks and concrete trucks when building my pole barn. I also need a wood chipper. I have about 12 big piles of brush and growing from clearing the site. Would like a 6", but thinking a 4" is likely better suited for the size tractor.
On my rk25 the 5’ bad blade is perfect. The back wheels are 60” wide and it fit perfect. I had to figure out what I was doing first but it made my driveway new again.
Traci again thanks for the heads up on the width, like I mentioned in my other comment I will double check and issue a correction in my next video :) That would indeed make a 5' box blade a perfect fit!!! Was just going from the Specs on their website that stated 52.8"... I would think the weight is also off from what they state online with the loaded tires.
I have had one on order for a few months, site unseen, the extra horsepower comes from (I believe) the Direct Fuel injection vs indirect fuel injection (the fuel is directly injected into the combustion chamber) the Cubic inch (77.3 or 1267 CC are the same) which hopefully means better fuel economy, certainly less emissions, and probably really expensive fuel pump so make sure to change fuel filters !! A big plus is the sub frame back hoe, and also there is wireless charging for your phone (whatever right). The direct fuel injection should also make cold starting easier perhaps. So Excited to get mine soon !!!
Thanks John for the comments. I honestly had butterflies in my stomach ordering something for that much money (yes it is a good price, but you know what I mean) for something I could not even see, or sit on. I was extremely pleased when it finally arrived though, I am sure you will be as well. Going to put the front loader to work this weekend, I have a big pile of dirt to move.... then likely next weekend give the backhoe a go digging a trench to install a catch basin and drain pipe. Stay in touch through the channel, when you get your RK25, let me know what your impressions are.
I ordered one about 3 weeks ago with backhoe and grapple. Hopefully it comes in soon. Thanks for posting this, it got me excited. I think this is the first owner video of the new RK25.
I was told to expect 4-6 weeks for my order to come in and it took just under 5 weeks so I would assume your remaining wait is very short. I'm excited as well, actually only spent about as much time with the tractor last night as you saw in the video so looking forward to this coming weekend to put it to work. Was thinking about a grapple, but will try and sneak by with the thumb on the back bucket to act as a mini grapple for a bit. Best of luck, hope we all end up happy with our purchases!
I can send you some photos of my tires, and my barn floor, I'd say they still collect mud, but with any speed at all they tend to be 'self-cleaning' to a degree. I agree though, I also think they are the best overall tire.
I've been shopping for a long time for a tractor and stumbled on this video. Heard Shelbyville Ky, that's where I live lol I think we've decided to go with a bobcat tractor, their financing is better and the bobcat dealer in Louisville is on top of it with questions and their service work
Dave, thanks so much for taking the time to leave the feedback. Looks like we are not quite neighbors but close (New Castle). I now have 300 + hours on the RK25, and I'm still very pleased ~ I will say though that I do have concerns (in the event I will need it) about their ability to service the tractors there in Shelbyville, hopefully I will not have to test it. Enjoy your new Bobcat!!!! Give us a Subscribe if you like.
Subscribed! My bobcat tractor arrived a week ago, I had to send it back to the dealer because it had the wrong tires (my mistake not theirs) they took it back, swapped tires and had it back to me later the same day. So far we're very pleased!
May be waiting a little while... those implement add ons are a little pricey... do want to get a box blade, a flail mower and a wood chipper though (over time).
Looks good! The engine HP difference is because the 25 has direct injection engine. Same engine as 24 just different fuel delivery. It should be more fuel efficient and have better cold starts. I'm jealous
Congratulations on the new tractor looks awesome. I love the shelbyville RK and now with the new harbor freight there's no need to go anywhere else lol.
Appreciate the video, been debating between the 24 amd 25 vs SA line of Yanmars, who's dealer is quite a bit closer than RK. Question for you, I know the RK warranty is 2 yr/8yr, 3000 hr, but what is the warranty process? Have you had to take it in to get the maintenance done to keep warranty or can you DIY w/o voiding warranty? Also, im moderately curious on turning radius for this 25. Our property is only 2 acres but enough trees and obstacles ill need something decently nimble.
Have done all my own regularly scheduled maintenance does not void warranty. And you asked about turning radius. Turns a lot sharper than my 2 door Jeep for sure… here you go: ua-cam.com/users/shortsKIUBex8ayPk?si=hau_tW3MtDzOIiLT
Fantastic videos, thanks for sharing. I've ordered my RK25 which should be in next week with backhoe, loader, grapple and boxblade. Question: Would you happen to know what the overall length is with loader and backhoe attached (backhoe retracted and backhoe to the rear)? I'm shopping for a trailer to go and pick it up and I'm deciding between 7x16/18/20 and trying to save as much as I can. Thank You!
I actually do, another viewer asked me the same question about 2 weeks ago and I measured it to be 17' 10"... although, I think you cold swing the backhoe to the side and still not stick out over the trailer (I'll have to test that out) and you could then get away with 16' I believe. Let me know what you pick for a trailer, I will be looking for one as well.
Hi Chris, I am really enjoying your videos, sometime when you don't have your back home hooked up, could you give us a view and description of the rear of the tractor, plus it looks like the RK25 is pre rigged for 3rd function but I don't see any control buttons on the loader handle, Thanks
Hey Bob, sorry for the delay in replying to this question. Didn't know if I would be taking backhoe off this weekend or not... should have as it turns out as I hit my neighbors water line with it late on Friday. At some point I'll be removing the backhoe for sure, and will cover that in a video, may be too late to be of value to you by then as the only rear attachment I have is the boxblade... and that I am waiting until most major construction is complete before fixing up the driveway with it. As for the 3rd function... I saw that in the online literature, but the only rear hydraulic connections are the ones to feed the backhoe, and the only controls for those that I have found is a lever below the seat. if you leave it in the middle position, no hydraulic pressure to the rear, if you flip it to the right, hydraulic pressure. Not sure if you can count that as a "control" or not. Was thinking the same question as I contemplate getting a hydraulic top arm to adjust the boxblade from the seat.
Hey Bob, I happen to have a few left over TNT Logo Fridge Magnets... if you would like one I'd be happy to send you one. Just email me your address to cwgeocacher@gmail.com. In the subject line put "MAGNET". Thanks for all the great questions and feedback by the way.
Scott, send me an email to cwgeocacher@gmail.com with your phone number and we will set something up. I'll likely be out there all weekend if that works for you. Hope you don't mind a muddy tractor, I don't polish mine before every video like some folks do :)
I really like the looks of the Rural King tractors. I have never seen one in person. We don't have any dealers here in Iowa. They will have a tough time competing in the market that John Deere and Kubota have a very strong hold on. Mahindra is having some success getting into the market here. We had a TYM dealer locally for a couple of months before he went out of business. I don't know the particulars but from the sound it was a problem with the owner and not the tractor. We also had a Montana tractor dealer and he too did not last. very good review Chris. Glad I subscribed to your channel
So glad you joined the channel TTWG :) When I ordered my RK25 it was just before the global supply chain challenges really kicked in. In talking to the sales rep at Rural King afterwards he was telling me that it was hard to sell tractors and implements when there were none to sell, and none to put on the lot. I hope that isn't going to lead to more smaller local dealers of any of the brands of tractors, to close their doors and go under as well. Never heard of "Montana" tractors, will have to look them up. Again thanks for the feedback, hope you and your family have a fantastic holiday season.
@@TryNewThings JB Hunt ended up with the Montana branded tractors. The actual history is too long for this comment but I believe they were importing mostly LS tractors and branding them Montana. LS decided to import them under their own name so Montana lost their supplier and went out of business.
I have been looking at this model also. I really want the back hoe, but would also like to use a bush hog once in a while. How difficult is it to remove the back hoe ?
Take a look at my TNT #87: Removing the backhoe... do it on solid, level ground (or concrete floor if you have space) and it is relatively easy. Not quite as easy as the front bucket, but not too bad. I'm going to be putting mine back on again this weekend so I can go back to landscaping and digging out stumps.
Took me 2 easy minutes to get mine off, and a frustrating hour to get it back on. That said, it took me nearly 2 hours to get the rear blade on... having never played with 3 point hitches before. I think "tool swapping" will get easier over time. And i got a quick hitch...
Mine should be here at the first of next week hopefully. I'm the same as everyone else in saying thanking you for sharing your first look of your tractor im more excited for mine now!
I'm still waiting for mine. When I ordered it they said 7 to 10 days and tomorrow will be 4 full weeks lol. They said it has been marked "building" since the 3rd 😞
@@danielstairs391 I went about 2 weeks ago and they said 10 days but didn't order then went back Monday and ordered it when they said 3 to 6 but will be excited when it does get here
Daniel and Redneck... come back and keep us posted on your deliveries and the timeframes. Hopefully the kinks in global supply chains work themselves out for lots of different products soon.
I'm just a guy with an RK25 (no official link to RK), I would have to think the answer would be YES, perfect size/platform for a cab in my opinion. So far I have not missed having one, but 2/3 of my time so far has been on the backhoe. But I'm just making an assumption. Thanks Bob for the question.
Enjoyed watching your video , rj25 must be made by. Tym,, seem identical to the T25,, by Tym. Too bad they couldn't have added tilt strg and at least 1 rear remote. Looking at the rops, I don't know what canopy you could put on this tractor the way they are shaped. Thanks keep up the great videos.
Thanks Bob for the great feedback. the RK25 is manufactured by TYM and is a very close relative to their new T25. So far I don't think I've 'missed' having tilt steering just yet, but I am constantly one and off of the tractor vs doing one thing for an extended period of time, maybe in those cases tilt would be handy... I would lump that in with the cruise control. Have not had an opportunity or use for cruise just yet either (although it does have cruise). I was thinking about the canopy question this weekend when it was again in the mid 90's and sunny. Someone will likely make something for it it would have to be custom to your point to be mounted to that angle of the ROPs.
Just an fyi, I just got a call that there is a recall on the tractor due to the antifreeze. They are needing to change it due to an issue with it's mixture. Just wanted to share.
Thanks John, I'll follow up with RK and ask them about it and see what they say. Hope they will send a mobile tech out to address it. I don't have a trailer yet that will haul it back to the dealer, even if it is only 15 miles away.
@@TryNewThings hopefully that's the case, my guy just said a tsb came through via email. Just needs to have the radiator drained and refilled so nothing major.
Got another question for you - can the lower 3-point arms stay on the tractor with the backhoe attached? I am guessing that they can because most other tractors which have a dedicated backhoe seat can keep the arms on. Thanks!
Très belle vidéo Très beau tracteur et très bien équipé Dommage qu'il n'y en ait pas en France J'aimerais bien l'essayer et certainement en acheter un J'adore 👍😀❤️ Bonne fête de fin d'année
Recently watched a video from Peace in the Valley where he removed all the backhoe brackets... I think the challenge is if you order one with a backhoe, you do not get the mid-PTO needed for a belly mower. You would have to ask your local rep if you can get the mid PTO added as an option (??) Sorry I don't have a better answer.
I do not, but can find out when I’m out there tomorrow. I’m assuming you want it when backhoe is tucked in. Like you would have it to load on a trailer and not extended out?
Hey Randal, 17’ 10” from front of bucket to back of backhoe. However if you are transporting it you can swing backhoe one side or the other and shorten that by almost 3’.
TNT, great video!! I am still deciding between the RK25, T25 (almost identical but does not come standard with the rear remote hydraulics) and the Kioti cx2510. It all boils down to financing available and monthly payments.
One set rear remote hydraulics standard. Can’t provide any details on financing, did not go that route. Glad you liked the video. Going to read your tire question next.
Look at zero or low interest credit cards. Citibank gave me zero % for nine months or a year at 0.99%. If you need longer payments, look at your local community credit union.
@@jamesb.armstrong5433 I have been told by my wife that I can order one in March. I am still torn between which one to get, RK(T)25, CX2501, or SA424...leaning towards the CX. Raleigh has the Southern Farm Show happening the first week in February, hopefully that will let me see all of them side-by-side, which will help me decide.
Just subbed. Bought a 3930 New Holland (45 rear PTO) to use on our 50 acre farm back in 98’ but cheaper out and didn’t get the front loader. Every once in a while the need for a loader comes up. Local dealer wants 10 large to put the loader on (parts and labor) but she’s only a 2 wheel drive tractor. Started looking at the RK 19. $13K for the RK w/front loader, but no ability to add a back hoe. Just the same, for $3K more, I get a front loader plus another tractor (win-win). But, I’m wanting a back hoe. The RK looks like the one& we’ll keep the New Holland as through the years I’ve added a bunch of implements (6’ bush hog, box blade, 55 gallon sprayer, chipper, on & on) plus I like the heft the 3930 has. That said, if we end up buying an RK 25, we’ll see if we need to keep the 3930. Living in north central Fla. on the farm we have, most of the time spent on equipment equipment is mowing & I bought a very nice diesel Kubota ZRT back in 2014 (ZD331), 553 hours on the Kubota mower vs.509 hints on the 3930 tractor. The Kubota ZD331 is a nicer finish mower vs. using the bush hog on the 3930. It’s faster and does a better job mowing. For sure, if we end up w/the RK 25, we’ll go w/a belly mower too. On that note, I’m wondering if the 60” mower for the RK25 uses zerk fittings on the blade spindles. Sorry, but I digression keep tuned to your channel to see how the RK performs
Thanks for the feedback Shakin_Jake. Do not have an answer for you on the belly mower for the 25 and the grease points. You said you really wanted a backhoe, and I do know that you cannot have a belly mower and a backhoe on the RK25 as the backhoe frame extends almost to the front of the tractor when installed. My implement count is small but growing. I have the forks, I have a box blade I will likely try here this fall on the driveway, and I just picked up a PTO Wood Chipper this weekend. I was thinking of getting a Flail Mower or a Finish Mower for the back of the RK25. My little John Deere (residential) E170 is taking a beating mowing those rough 4.5 acres every week.
@@TryNewThings after i posted that bit, I read on here and elsewhere that like you said, on the RK25, if you buy this tractor with the backhoe, you can’t fit the mid mount mower, end of story. Oh well, it is what it is=:-). Again, i really like what the RK 25 has to offer, and feel it would be a good fit on my farm. I’m not sure about selling my 3930 (Ford) New. Holland tractor. I’d like to have both, despite the fact the 3930 doesn’t see much use, as evident by the low (500) hours. A wise man once said “you can’t have too many tractors” At the risk of repeating myself, I came by looking/considering the RK25 having seriously looking at the RK19. Yes, the bucket (front loader) on the RK 19 is small, but so what, I’d only be using on my farm and not commercially, yet the RK25 is attractive what with the backhoe attachment. So there is the dilemma for me, do i get the RK19 and call it done or, go for the RK25, w/the backhoe? Why stop there? Why not equip the RK25 w/an air conditioned cab?!? Oh my goodness, what to do, its only money=:-) I’ll let you know what i do but in the meantime, ill follow your channel! Its an interesting one to follow. Keep up the good content
I hope you get more use out of your PTO wood chipper than i have with mine. I just never seemed to use it much. That said, it works extremely well, its just that it comes down to what do i want to do with my time. If you have the time to use it, great. I never seemed to be able to find the time to use mine. Quid pro quote, so much to do, so little time in which to get it done=😃 BTW, i stopped by my local Rural King this past Thursday. They had a brand new RK 25 w/the loader and backhoe, along with a small sign on them loader that said “sold-Mixson”. So Mr. Mixson probably has his new tractor sitting on his property by now, I would imagine. Lucky dog he is. Okay, so i see rural King isn’t selling the RK19 any longer, they now call it the RK21. Depending on finances down the road, wether we buy the RK21 or, the RK25, i will insist upon getting a grapple attachment for the front, for when I’m not using the loader. The ability to grab a big pile of limbs, logs, what have you, I’m thinking the grapple is something I will have a need for We were discussing (me, Mrs. Jake and our trusted confident-Nick our carpenter), how much use we would actually use a back hoe. I’m thinking its one of those tools you aren’t going to use that often, but when you need it, you’ll be glad that you have it I was looking at all the RK tractors online earlier (yesterday) & i have to say if i could save up another 10 large or so, the RK35 witrh an air conditioned cab would be nice to have. Maybe I’m getting soft in my advancing years yet considering how hot it gets most of the year here in north central Fla., an air conditioned cab would be nice to occupy, wouldn’t it?=:-)@@TryNewThings
@@shakin_jakewilson5247 the backhoe is a huge chuck of change. I will reach a point where the hoe is less of an asset than it has been over the past year. For an established piece of property it would likely be better to have another implement. But I have had so much trenching and landscaping that it has paid for (almost) itself. Same will be true with the chipper I’m sure. Guy I bought it from sold it to me for half what he paid for it, I figure I can use it for a year and do the same and sell it again for half what I paid. Cab would be awesome. Winter is coming, the heater would also be nice. If you don’t need a backhoe you have solved your belly mower dilemma….
@@shakin_jakewilson5247 we live in NC Florida also (Hamilton County) and bought a couple of cab tractors this year. No more bugs, heat, or dust. Very nice.
I would say that I probably have used the backhoe more than one would expect, and I'm getting ready to put it back on to expand my garden once again (soil is so rocky I dig it all up and take out the rocks with the backhoe first). I'm a little over 400 hours on it so far. No issues. However people have left a lot of comments on my RK videos and one theme that has bubbled to the top is "If something does break or go wrong, make sure you are near an RK dealer with good customer service and a better service (mechanic) department". It have found it to be very capable machine for me so far, and can't imagine not having one at this point. If the backhoe in particular is of interest I do have a couple videos on it - just go to my channel and my RK25 folder. I was in no way sponsored by RK, so what you see is my true experiences with it. If I were going to be putting a couple thousand hours a year on it, I would likely spend a little extra and go with a Massey or something, but for my needs a couple hundred hours a year, it has been great.
I have done the same thing in looking for and trying to decide what sub compact tractor I want & need. I've about drove myself & wife both little nuts doing so! I have RK store 25--30 miles of me north or south. I've looked at there tractors and I think the RK 25 is the one I would get ,If that is the way I would go. My blood runs more green to be honest, but they want lot for it new or used! A friend has a JD 2017 1025r EC low hours for16k The RK has a great warranty And the RK set up I want is loader and mower deck. For 17k. I would plan to get forks & maybe a grapple later. I like the looks of the RK. How are you feeling with it so far?? Thanks for the video ,enjoyed it
It has been great other than I had issues with the speakers. They work again, but I found out I never really use them. I’m at 365 hours so far, lots of that abuse with the backhoe. If you have not watched my top five upgrade video, my favorite for the RK25 has been the wheel spacers. Feels way more planted on the hills I have. Congrats on being close to tractor life.
The speakers wouldn't be something I would use anyway. We'll see what happens. I'm just not sure yet, I feel the JD would have better resale value , I really haven't seen many used RK tractors for sale to have any ideal of what resale might be on them. But Then again, If I get one, I won't be the one reselling it. :) Thanks for your reply~ @@TryNewThings
I don’t think there is any argument that JD or Kabota would draw a better resale value. If I were a commercial user I would have gone Kabota probably. But given my weekend use situation, no reason it won’t last as long as I do with proper maintenance was my line of thinking.
And I say You're right. It will last, It would me too. Its just the green thing with me. I'll look some more for good used JD @ a reasonable price ,If I don't find one by Spring, good chance I'll go with the RK@@TryNewThings Thanks for the reply!
Like you i watched all the vids i could find before i decided. Had to wait months to get it.The price and above all the warranty were what made me pick the 25. It was waiting on parts or a mechanic as it was available to use. Hows yours doing now?
@@TryNewThings 3 years ago on the first one. Unbelievable things broke on it the subframe on backhoe saddle broke from frame dogs that hold back of subframe in place lower part of front wheel units, then the manager at rk told me to bring mine with 600 or so hrs on it and they would put my front loader on a new tractor. I thought this is good. Few days later my loader mounts broke on both sides. She sent 2 mechanics over and replaced the mounts and arms. I was very satisfied.for a while then the front wheels started leaking like the first one. Then it started coming out of low gear and making a growling noise in 4x4. Then the saddle broke on the new one. I've been babying it even more than the first one and got 752 hrs but they don't want to fix the saddle. The day I brought it in mechanic looked at it and said that's the 4 th one this week
@@Daddyjohn1971 good lord! Not the best experience for sure. 1300+ hours in 3 years you sure put a machine through a thorough workout. Fingers crossed I continue to get lucky. About 2/3 of my time has been on the backhoe so far, lots of digging. Thanks for taking the time to leave the feedback, very much appreciated and I do hope that those who watch this video in the future read your comments for a real perspective.
I had more trouble than I listed, that was off the top of my head. Bought it shortly after I retired to work around my property, the hardest thing I've done with it was doug up 2 small walnut trees, dirt , gravel and mud is all it's ever known. I did drag and load 3 small trailer loads of logs I gave a friend. Moved quite a bit of dirt from back to front yard, nothing hard. Used the backhoe to dig it then carried it no more than 500 hundred ft. No rock digging. I've ran nearly everything with wheels or tracks all my life. Always do service sooner than required kept records, pictures.
Howdy Chris, thanks for the question. My understanding is that a mid PTO and mower is not an option if you select the backhoe. That being said, the backhoe is pretty simple to take off and put on, just make sure you do it somewhere that is mostly level. Here is a video I did of removing the backhoe. ua-cam.com/video/3WGMLfwEQ2s/v-deo.html
Wait.....you mean you didn't buy a 50 yr old tractor and refurbish it? Would have been a great test for the new grinder/buffer...lol. But seriously....nice machine!!
It would be great to have one of those old smallish ford tractors. Maybe one day just to put around the orchard... but first, I have to plant the orchard. I hope it is as fun as it looks, but I do know that moving a bunch of rock and dirt by hand is not fun... or terribly productive. I'll have to crank some Tragically Hip or Great Big Sea through the speakers as I work.
Thank you for sharing this video. I went through the exact same process as you for the ideal tractor. I started with the RK24 then went to Massey Fergusson, Then to Kioti. I was dead set on the Kioti but supply issues got me impatient and I said "forget this" I'm going back to the RK24 untill I saw the RK 25. I'm ordering one for myself. I feel that it's the best overall value for the money. It definitely helps to hear from someone that actually owns one. How long did you have to wait for delivery after ordering?
They told me 5 weeks as they were just arriving in the US. Came in 4 weeks. Worth the wait. I also think it may be best deal for the money for a hobby / weekend user like myself. So glad I did not go with the 24, and the 37 would have been bigger than I need.
Let me know if you end up picking the RK 25. Gave the backhoe a go doing a drainage swail around the front of the barn. Not a big test but was a lot of fun. I was so uncoordinated with the levers to start but by the end although I was going slow, was getting the hang of it. That video be out in about a week.
@@jamesb.armstrong5433 - It has been so hot and muggy out here in KY this summer I would love to have a cap and some AC. So far, have not seen anything on Cab version of the RK25... but maybe next year's lineup. For next summer will definitely at a minimum be looking into a canopy. Thanks James for the feedback!
For those of you that already have your tractors do you all have the R14 tires? Can someone please post the tire sizes for both the R4 and the R14 tires? The R14s look narrower than the standard size R4 tires, at least based on the photos available online. Thanks
DugMoney Detecting... metal detectorist? (another hobby of mine). I would have to doubt that it would fit. The RK25 is quite a bit larger than the RK24 in every way except engine size. To be sure however I would recommend reaching out to your Rural King Dealer. Thank you for the question... and happy hunting.
@@TryNewThings Hey TNT, yes, I’m a metal detectorist! Love the hobby just have a hard time finding time to do it. Check out some of my vids if you wish! Thanks for the info, we have a RK just 15 miles from our house. Thanks again & take care! HH to you too if you do any digging!
Will definitely check out your channel. I used to go out about 3 times a week, but the new property is consuming my free time lately. Was going to force myself to go for a hunt tonight in the rain.
Can everyone who owns this RK 25 tractor post videos or comments about removing and attaching each of the attachments? I'm interested in the mid mount mower, loader, backhoe, etc... and would like to know the difficulty level of each because I am disabled.
Over on "Denny & Traci Rust" channel, he walks through the removal and attachment of the backhoe. The loader is supper easy if you leave the arms on (Skid Steer Style Disconnect). I have not seen anyone with RK25 and a mid mount mower as of yet Matt :(
@@TryNewThings so how did the placement of the tool box go? just checking back in to see how it went… or did you find another location for the box? by the way great video.
Gary Thank you for the video I ordered one four weeks ago hopefully will come in next week . I know it’s a new tractor but does anybody know if the pallet forks are compatible . I hope so especially with the increased weight lifting capability of the loader .
Hey Gary, just picked up the 36" pallet forks at RK along with a new box blade this morning. Made a video about them today and it should be posted to UA-cam in about 4 days or so. I'm impressed. Lot more heavy duty than I would have expected and swapping them out for the bucket is a snap. If you have not already hit Subscribe... that way you will get notified when I post the pallet fork episode. Will likely be a little while before I try out the box blade. I still have quite a bit of backhoe work that is of higher priority out at the farm for now.
I have a RK 24 also purchased from Shane at Shelbyville... I’m not too far from you if you would like to do a side x side comparison including some actual work using both, let me know. (I have no backhoe tho)
Stopped in there this morning and picked up a set of pallet forks and a box blade while he had one of each still in stock. You in Henry Co.? I’m stuck where I’m at until I get a much beefier trailer :(
David, it would be great if you and Chris could work side by side with each tractor. I hope you could arrange it with Chris. I can't find any comparison video on UA-cam.
Hello Daniele, it would be a bit different than the RK24. At some point in the near future I'll make a video on detaching the backhoe... however it would be very similar to that of the RK37. There are a few good RK37 or TYM T264 backhoe install videos available. The big difference is how it is supported through the full frame of the tractor vs the RK24. It would likely not take any additional time than the RK24 and maybe even a little quicker. I hope this helps, thank you for the question.
Hello Jason, I do have a video on removing the backhoe here ( ua-cam.com/video/3WGMLfwEQ2s/v-deo.html ) or look for TNT #87 on my Channel. It is pretty easy to remove, even the first time. As far as how hard to add another 3 point attachment - I had little issue putting on my PTO driven wood chipper - key is do everything on level ground. A quick hitch attachment would help if you were changing implements a lot, however in my case if I'm changing it out every couple months, not worth the $$ for me. I really appreciate the question by the way.
@@TryNewThings awesome. I just told purple collar I decided on the RK25. And then I came across your video and realized that it was a frame mount backhoe. I don't think I'll be changing a lot but I do want to be able to switch out to a brush hog or tiller. And I was a little concerned. But you have put my mind at ease. Definitely going with the RK25 with the backhoe. I'm going to try the new r14 tires which is somewhere in between. Which purple color had recommended. And was also in his rural King 25 video.
I hope you are as pleased with the RK25 as I have been so far. Pushing 200 hours on it, although winter here I have not been using it a whole lot as I don’t want to tear up the yard.... but if we get a bunch of snow I’ll giving plowing a go. It is definitely a stretch, but I have done it, like if i forgot to lift the legs, i can reach back and lift them without getting off. But i would not wan to try and use the backhoe from the driver seat other than to lift or swing it a bit. Great question. thanks for asking!
@@TryNewThings Awesome thanks for the reply I was thinking like if was using it to drag logs and needed to lift it or something of that sort or as you mentioned swing it that i could do it without having to completely stop the tractor and stand up and stretch or get off and do whatever was needing done then get back on
@@jarrodp6068 the MF looks a lot 'smaller' (?) Just looking at the rear tire diameter (and remember, the RK25 rear tires come loaded with rim guard adding to it's weight and stability. Traci thanks for the request for clarification. I did say in the video about 54", I was trying to go from memory. I just looked up in the Specifications Tab on their website for the RK25 and it is listing the overall width there 52.8". I will be honest I have not measured, but will try and remember to do so tonight and get back to you. Thanks for your question!! Just to be on same page, I'm not including the bucket, just the tractor.

The rear tire is a 14x17.5, and it is 14 inches wide, has a rim size of 17.5 inches in diameter and this tire has a diameter of 36.44 inches. The rear tires are about $500 each and the fronts are about $200 each.
@@BillHerzig Thanks for such an elaborate answer. Believe it or not, nowhere on the Rural King website can you find exact tire dimensions which is probably one of the biggest reasons people buy the RK25 over the RK24. I was looking at the 2 series John Deere when I found this tractor.
Then get the 55 the other tractors the same size are not going to have 20 extra hp either
My local RK store told me they changed policy and no longer make field calls. Be aware you must take it to them.
Thanks for the great feedback PCL, will check out your channel as well :)
This was posted 3 years ago. Are you still happy with the RK 25
They are little heavier than their orange or green cousins lol
Dual hydro pumps is what sold me my Mhindra emax 22 tlb.

I have the rk37.. love it
So far .. congrats on your new work horse.
Thanks Dudley, I'm amazed at what the RK25 (yes TYM R25) is capable of for the price, I'm certain the rk37 even moreso. Did you go for the enclosed cab?
@@TryNewThings oh yes , I do have a cab. In Florida, need AC..

You opting for the backhoe Tim? I have yet come across anyone who has gotten the belly mower.
@@TryNewThings thanks Chris, thats very kind of you.

Can't wait to put it to work!

that said, i do love the heck out of my rk25
@@TryNewThings I look forward to your next video !!
I was surprised when I got a call that mine was in after 2 weeks so who knows could be sooner than later. I was told 4-6 as well.
I think so as well, I contacted Rural King to let them know there was a video they could lead their customers to !!
@@WestBendNews It took about 4 weeks for mine to come in, but I have already put about 12 hours on it so far.
@@WestBendNews Not yet, still waiting here in east Tennessee. I had to pay 10% down when I ordered it.
Nice Tractor, O by the way that's the best tries they make for a Tractor because the mud don't get stuck in it
I can send you some photos of my tires, and my barn floor, I'd say they still collect mud, but with any speed at all they tend to be 'self-cleaning' to a degree. I agree though, I also think they are the best overall tire.
I've been shopping for a long time for a tractor and stumbled on this video. Heard Shelbyville Ky, that's where I live lol
I think we've decided to go with a bobcat tractor, their financing is better and the bobcat dealer in Louisville is on top of it with questions and their service work
Dave, thanks so much for taking the time to leave the feedback.
@@Dave-pd6hi congratulations on the new tractor. So much more you can and will do with a tractor on hand :)
Good looking machine. Looking forward to seeing the add on options.
May be waiting a little while... those implement add ons are a little pricey... do want to get a box blade, a flail mower and a wood chipper though (over time).
Nice tractor. Hope you get good service for many years
I’ll let you all know as I get a chance to experience their service after the sale.
Looks good! The engine HP difference is because the 25 has direct injection engine. Same engine as 24 just different fuel delivery. It should be more fuel efficient and have better cold starts. I'm jealous
Great point!
Congratulations on the new tractor looks awesome. I love the shelbyville RK and now with the new harbor freight there's no need to go anywhere else lol.
They have a Harbor Freight now? I did not know that... is it on the Rural King side or the Lowes side of town???
@@TryNewThings lol Middle of town by Dairy queen and tumbleweed.
@@TryNewThings thanks. Definitely will do.
Hi. Chris, If you ever plan on putting a Canopy on this tractor, please do a video on it and what Canopy you use. Thanks Alot
Will do Bob.
Hey Bob, I happen to have a few left over TNT Logo Fridge Magnets... if you would like one I'd be happy to send you one. Just email me your address to cwgeocacher@gmail.com. In the subject line put "MAGNET". Thanks for all the great questions and feedback by the way.
I live in Lebanon junction.
Sure would like to stop by and check this out. I have 15 acres off Preston hwy.
Full watch and a thumbs up.
Thanks Daniel... check back in once you get a chance to give it a go and let everyone know your first impressions.
I just order mine said could be 3 to 6 weeks.
Hi Chris, do you know if RK is thinking of adding a Cab to this tractor like the Kioti cx2510. This tractor would be ideal with a factory cab. Thanks
Could you please advise the total height with the ROPS folded down
Thanx
Here is a video of a friend. About the 11:30 mark he measures it.
@ John Sanchez, reached out to my sales rep. Said that my tractor was not on the recall list. So maybe limited ??
@@TryNewThings hopefully that's the case, my guy just said a tsb came through via email. Just needs to have the radiator drained and refilled so nothing major.
Got another question for you - can the lower 3-point arms stay on the tractor with the backhoe attached? I am guessing that they can because most other tractors which have a dedicated backhoe seat can keep the arms on. Thanks!
They do indeed stay on the tractor when backhoe is on. If I run out to the farm tomorrow I’ll take some photos for you.
Très belle vidéo
Très beau tracteur et très bien équipé

Merci beaucoup Richard. Ma Francais nest pas tres bien. Cest un tres bon tractor.
Is the back detachable to be able to mount a belly mower?
Recently watched a video from Peace in the Valley where he removed all the backhoe brackets... I think the challenge is if you order one with a backhoe, you do not get the mid-PTO needed for a belly mower. You would have to ask your local rep if you can get the mid PTO added as an option (??) Sorry I don't have a better answer.
Howdy! You wouldn't happen to know the length of the tractor from bucket to end of the backhoe do you?
Did you get anything yet? I bought a Kioti CX 2510 a few months ago and I really like it. We got the cab with ours.
@@BillHerzig I hope you enjoy and have good luck with whatever you get. Branson is a good tractor also if you have a dealer near you.
A wise man once said “you can’t have too many tractors”
At the risk of repeating myself, I came by looking/considering the RK25 having seriously looking at the RK19.
The ability to grab a big pile of limbs, logs, what have you, I’m thinking the grapple is something I will have a need for
We were discussing (me, Mrs. Jake and our trusted confident-Nick our carpenter), how much use we would actually use a back hoe. I’m thinking its one of those tools you aren’t going to use that often, but when you need it, you’ll be glad that you have it
I was looking at all the RK tractors online earlier (yesterday) & i have to say if i could save up another 10 large or so, the RK35 witrh an air conditioned cab would be nice to have.
Very nice.
The twenty four And the 25 Seemed like the same tractor just with different set UPS and tires
Similar engine and HP. 25 much beefier, longer, taller, wider, heavier. Significantly more lifting capacity.
I think the rk25 is what i'd like, same with the backhoe; any regrets with that? I have a few drainage and trenching projects i want to do. Cheers!

No issues as of yet. I’m about 325 hours in so far. When did you get yours?
Any body know how hard the backhoe is to remove so you can use mid mower or other rear implants???
Charlie, you ever end up getting your RK25?
@@TryNewThings not yet. I'm having some health issues that I have to get past before I follow thru. Thanks for asking.
I just ordered mine today, hopefully it will be here in about a month. Does anyone know how long it is with the backhoe on?
Hey Slim. Tip of bucket to back of backhoe 17’-10”. If you swing the backhoe to one side or the other you can cut that down by a couple feet almost.
@@TryNewThings Thanks that helps a lot
For those of you that already have your tractors do you all have the R14 tires? Can someone please post the tire sizes for both the R4 and the R14 tires? The R14s look narrower than the standard size R4 tires, at least based on the photos available online.
Thanks
RK came out with an enclosed cab for the 24, will it fit the 25?
Does the loader frame disconnect easy? Would love to see a video on it
OCD70, thanks for the question, are you talking about the front bucket, or the whole bucket and arm assemblies?
Just finished filming the loader removal… super simple. 3-4 minutes tops. Will try and edit and get posted tonight.
Meant the whole loader assembley, I know the bucket is like a skidsteer bucket with the 2 levers
@@TryNewThings meant the whole Frame. Thanks for the response
@@ocd7036 I’ve got your question covered!
I have not seen anyone with RK25 and a mid mount mower as of yet Matt :(
Fit the tool box under the Backhoe seat on the steel plate.
Thanks Paul, just got the bracket for that from RK. Will give it a go.
@@TryNewThings when I seen the box and the space under the seat it looked as it would fit. however, looks can be deceiving at times.
@@TryNewThings so how did the placement of the tool box go? just checking back in to see how it went… or did you find another location for the box? by the way great video.
Gary
Thank you for the video I ordered one four weeks ago hopefully will come in next week .
Gary, you ever end up taking delivery of your RK25?
I have a RK 24 also purchased from Shane at Shelbyville...
I’m not too far from you if you would like to do a side x side comparison including some actual work using both, let me know. (I have no backhoe tho)
Stopped in there this morning and picked up a set of pallet forks and a box blade while he had one of each still in stock. You in Henry Co.? I’m stuck where I’m at until I get a much beefier trailer :(
David, it would be great if you and Chris could work side by side with each tractor. I hope you could arrange it with Chris. I can't find any comparison video on UA-cam.
Does the backhoe come off the same as the rk24?
Hello Daniele, it would be a bit different than the RK24. At some point in the near future I'll make a video on detaching the backhoe... however it would be very similar to that of the RK37. There are a few good RK37 or TYM T264 backhoe install videos available. The big difference is how it is supported through the full frame of the tractor vs the RK24. It would likely not take any additional time than the RK24 and maybe even a little quicker. I hope this helps, thank you for the question.
How hard is it to take the tobacco off and use a 3-point attachment?
Have had it out with my wood chipper a couple times when the ground is frozen.
@@TryNewThings
We been hit hard in past 2 week. We had 8-10" 1st snow. And couple inches at a time thier after. Wishing I had mine before all this. My back! It's what prompted me to start looking again. Was going to wait for spring. But a 6 week wait, glad I decided now.
By keeping the RK25 under 25hp they don’t have to put DEF on the motor.
So what does that tractor sell for new without a backhoe? Anybody?
Currently $25k with backhoe. www.rktractors.com/configurator-page1-tractors.php
Are you able to reach the backhoe controls from the driving seat ?!?
It is definitely a stretch, but I have done it, like if i forgot to lift the legs, i can reach back and lift them without getting off. But i would not wan to try and use the backhoe from the driver seat other than to lift or swing it a bit. Great question. thanks for asking!
@@TryNewThings
Awesome thanks for the reply I was thinking like if was using it to drag logs and needed to lift it or something of that sort or as you mentioned swing it that i could do it without having to completely stop the tractor and stand up and stretch or get off and do whatever was needing done then get back on
I'm currently trying to decide on a tractor and I'm stuck on the rk25 and the Massey Ferguson GC 1725MB
@@jarrodp6068 the MF looks a lot 'smaller' (?) Just looking at the rear tire diameter (and remember, the RK25 rear tires come loaded with rim guard adding to it's weight and stability. I would also guess it is has a wider stance (again with stability on slope)... but if you need narrow profile, the MF (or RK24, or JD1025R) may be just what your after.
@@TryNewThings yeah that's the hold back for me on the MF is it is smaller and i will be using it on my little over 9 acres and i have mostly steep hills the thing with the 1725 is the same seat to drive is used to operate backhoe so i like that but not a deal breaker so might see what kind of package deal i can get with maybe a larger sized Massey like maybe an 1835M and then decide from there i saw the rk25 in person, sat on it and instantly didn't like it was too small and felt like I was on a garden tractor they didn't have the rk25 on the lot at the time but I'd love to see n check it out in person. I want something small to get into tighter areas and through trails just the more i think about it not sure the subcompact line is what i need..maybe more of a compact size like the rk25. But probably the pricing is what will help me decide too I saw a package deal for the Massey 1725 that came with rotary cutter, box blade, trailer and then the tractor with loader and backhoe for 23,300 I'm young not a lot of money so will be financing it and having to work hard to pay all the bills so i want to make the right n best choice the first time cuz I won't have a second Chance lol
Just watched for the third time 😂 i was wanting a Massey Ferguson 1735 or equivalent but seems the only model I can get anytime soon is an economy model which I don't want or a 1526 which I'm not a fan of for the price I can get more with the rk25 just would like to see it in person first
Just looked at the rk37 went to three different rural kings trying to find a rk25 with no luck but am really leaning towards the rk37 which isnt much bigger from what I've seen or so it seems but i haven't seen an rk25 in person to know... Looking for a tractor close in physical size to my 1940 Ford 9n
None at local Rural King? Last time I checked here in Shelbyville KY they were on back order. Not sure what the situation is where you are at. I think for the $ the RK25 is a great deal (especially if I didn’t need the backhoe). I would recommend trying to see one in person before making your decision.
@@TryNewThings I'm in southeast Ohio about 40 minutes or so south of Zanesville but none of the rural kings I've beem to have the rk25 unfortunately I'd love to see one in person and I'm not going to choose a tractor i can't look at and test before purchasing the rk 37 is seeming more n ore promising also it is shuttle shift which appeals to me being it's going to be more durable in the long run on my steep hill sides but is also more money so boils down to if i can get the financing
Edit i am definitely going to be getting the backhoe for whatever tractor i get along with box blade and front brush grapple

I settled for the 24 and I have 10 acres. I got the 60 finish mower. Kinda wish I got the 37 but the 24 has done everything I've asked it to.
10 acres would be really nice. I’m thinking flail mower as most of my lawn really isn’t lawn, more ‘pasture’ rough as heck.
That's just like The tym t25 is a get Tractor as well
TYM has a much, much nicer logo for the front grill. Love the transformer look vs the windmill :) Thanks for the feedback Michael.
Does this tractor have Auto Throttle?
Auto Throttle? That when it throttles up under load? Does that come with shuttleshift vs hydro? I know when you hit the peddle it throttles up, but does not throttle up based on load on the bucket etc.
What’s the price difference ?
Hey Jerry, price difference between then and now?
I'm hoping to get the same tractor need to get rid of another tractor first.
Congrats Don, hope the sale of your current one goes well!
Some thing as a TYM T25
TYM has a much nicer logo 😃
@TNT - Try New Things and the tym has a better looking hood in the front
But it's still nice looking ...I almost got one before I got my tym t394hc
How much did it cost?
Thanks for the question Sunsettvu. I paid cash and did not finance it, doubt that changes the price, just what you would pay in total over time. With backhoe I believe it was a hair over $20k including taxes. (8 months ago)
My RK25 is 60” wide. Did you say it is 54”?
Traci thanks for the request for clarification. I did say in the video about 54", I was trying to go from memory. I just looked up in the Specifications Tab on their website for the RK25 and it is listing the overall width there 52.8". I will be honest I have not measured, but will try and remember to do so tonight and get back to you. Thanks for your question!! Just to be on same page, I'm not including the bucket, just the tractor.
@@TryNewThings actually I didn’t realize I was responding under our farm page which shows my wife name lol. My name is Denny. No worries I just wanted to clarify.
Denny, I measured outside tire to outside rear tire tonight. I got about 58.5”, so very much inclined to agree with your 60”. The specs on RK web sight definitely wrong at 52.8”.
@@TryNewThings I would say that is with the tires and wheels that TYM had before they shipped them to the US.
@Denny Rust - Shane tells me you are in the know... :) Would you by chance know the weight of the RK25 with tires and Rim-Guard? I may start off my next video with a correction as it turns out the website was shipping dimensions and weight.

Bill, I’ll grab the tire sizes for you hopefully tomorrow if someone does not answer first. I agree, front tires at least do look narrow.
Rear tires Goodyear R14 14x17.5, Front 25x8.5.
@@TryNewThings thanks for the info. Using that data I was able to go to the Titan website and get some more info - the front tire is a 25x8.5x14 and it is 7.7 inches wide, 25.15 inches in diameter and has a 14 inch diameter rim. The rear tire is a 14x17.5, and it is 14 inches wide, has a rim size of 17.5 inches in diameter and this tire has a diameter of 36.44 inches.
The rear tires are about $500 each and the fronts are about $200 each.
Thanks Bill!
