The comments going on about thick amreican accents, but I'm amazed at how good accent alot of these elderly people have! Sure, some of them are quite american, but there were a few that almost sounded 100% swedish. The younger ones though... muuch thicker accents xD
This is beautiful. I'm a Swedish-speaking Finn myself but this "old" dialect of Swedish seems so pure. It sounds a lot more like Fenno-Swedish than modern Sweden-Swedish.
Do anyone here know where i can find Minnesotans speaking Swedish if there is anything of that sorts like the German community speakers of Texas? I think it was in Texas? Im a Swedish man from Vallentuna north of Stockholm would be fun to listen to.
So sad there are mostly old people keeping the Scandinavian heritage alive. I wish to move to the US someday and would be happy to meet others with similar backgrounds, but not to the cold north. That's why I want to move in the first place. I hate the cold ;)
@@_Viking Haha good point. Well the important thing, regardless of where we choose to live, is to never forget our fine swedish culture and heritage. 🇸🇪
@@djurgarn7466 Yes, you should really hold on to your heritage. Unfortunately, it seems like you struggle a bit in several places in Sweden. Is it really true that arabic is the second most spoken language in Sweden? If so, you need to change that if you want to keep your culture. I'm not a Swede, but Norwegian BTW. We have similar challenges here, but not at the same scale.

Tack för fyra fina filmer.
That singing man sounded exactly like Evert Taube! Dude!
Det är trevligt att man i alla fall någonstans på planeten värnar om svensk kultur.
Damen som säger håll käften verkar vara en rolig person att ta en fika med

You gotta learn to love the cold my friend.

OJ vilken brytning! De gamla hade bättre uttal, men det är så knäppt vilken dialekt de fått. Jag antar att de inte växte upp med språket i hemmet.
De snakka både engelsk, svensk og norsk (y)
hahaha sant!!
More american than swedish ngl. Sometimes its harder to understand their swedish
Most swedes don't like lutfisk, so that's a Swedish thing :)
