Brian May for Mojo: "Freddie wrote the song in Montreux, in a little house on the lake that we called The Duck House. The extraordinary thing is, that he is talking about life and its beauty at a time when he knows that he hasn't got very long to go, yet there's no wallowing in emotion, it's just absolutely purely observed." 💔
This was amazing how Freddy sang it and queen will forever live in our hearts. I myself have never heard this song, but Freddie Mercury you sang this with all your strength and thank you and rest in peace you are really missed..
So glad you did this one. It’s a beautiful but sad song that always gives me shivers, and there are a few more in that category on the Made in Heaven album. Try Mother Love, it always makes me cry. ❤😢
Nothing from the official Queen Channel will get blocked. Queen knows that reactions are another way to keep the music alive and introduce it to new fans.
This song reminds me of how i looked at the world when i returned from the Falklands war in the South Atlantic in 1982 at the age of 21. Facing death changes everything.
Considering how sick he was when he wrote this, it’s amazing that he had the strength to sing it. You can just imagine him sitting looking out the window and just jotting stuff down
Freddie wrote this song very late in his life. He is reflecting on what he was observing outside The Duck House where he lived on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. He loved his time there. The people of the area loved having him there and after his passing, a statue of him overlooking the lake was erected and still stands today. Every year there is a huge celebration for Freddie's birthday and the streets are packed with partying people. His statue is also covered in flowers, gifts and notes from fans from around the world who come to pay homage to him. There is a Queen Museum nearby also, which is in a building that used to house Queen's Studio in Montreaux. Brian's guitar work on this song is so emotional that it brings tears to my eyes every time. There are a few songs where Brian does this to me.
This was on Lake Geneva, Switzerland, where Queen had a recording studio, and Freddie had an apartment, where he could live in peace, away from the British press.
My favourite….Freddie wrote this in Montreux this is where they have birthday celebrations for Freddie every September im going this year so on your behalf I’ll sign Freddie’s wall if you like.if you Google Freddie celebration days you’ll see all the info🎼❤️🎼🇬🇧🇬🇧
I read somewhere that if you are in Montreux, sit by the lake and listen to this song, and you will understand the true depth of Freddie's love for the beauty there. I did this last year, and I was overwhelmed. ❤
This song is Freddie's "Christmas card" to the fans, there is Freddie's hand written lyrics in the video. Death On Two Legs lyric video, Flick Of The Wrist at Rainbow 74, Say It's Not True written and sung by Roger, the official lyric video.
His song makes me weep thinking of how tragic that we lost his glorious voice and talent. I miss the enthralling Freddie and the music Queen would have continued to make if he hadn’t died so young! I’d like to see you react to Freddie Mercury’s performance, the stripped version of just Freddie and piano called Time Waits For No one, Good Old Fashioned Boy, Let Me Entertain You, Life Is Real, Who Needs You, and I Was Born To Love You, Seaside Rendezvous & Freddie’s masterpiece : My Melancholy Blues
Freddie can be considered a brave man. He is ready to face the fact that his time is near. He didn't think of anything negative, instead he saw the beauty of the surroundings and still had a positive outlook despite everything. His voice remained excellent despite the weakness of his body. In the video, you can also see his handwriting and pictures with his brothers in the band. It's sad that someone like him was lost early. He is a true LEGEND! 👑❤ Thank you Prada. This song is magnificent!❤🩹
Considering how sick he was he still saw beauty in the world. He found the strength, will and determination, love of his craft, rising above his illness. His vocals are so heartbreakingly pure.
React to queen soul brother. This song is incredible it has funk, blues and grit and so much more. Freddie kills this one. It is a true hidden gem!!! R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU WE HEAR YOU SINGING FROM HEAVEN
I refer to this song as the “Christmas song that isn’t a Christmas song” 🎄🌟 Gorgeous lyrics by Freddie who expresses the beautiful sights & sounds outside his window!! 🌠 🌙🌟💫✨The handwriting in the video is also Freddie’s. Thanks Prada☀️
He recorded it in one take because he was dying, bro. He had little time to leave sth for the 3 lasting members of Queen to work on after his death. That's the reason.
The beautiest song ever, the absolut last song Freddie made before his passing, the vid was made in Swizz where they was much, they had studio there. Freddie had a appartment and they had a hous called The Duck-hous it was many swanes there and it was very, very close to the Genève sea, there is a big statue of Freddie there. Hear at him singing with operasinger Monzerat Caballe in Barcelona…..it was in -88……fabelous……wow, I love the song How can I go on ❤
Montreux(pronounced Maan-trow) is where the Mountain Recording studio is. It burned down in 1971 and Deep Purple wrote Smoke On the Water about it. Queen bought the studio in 1979 and sold it in 1996. It is a Queen museum and there is Freddie's statue on the Lake promenade. I have been and it is well worth visiting. I love Winter's Tale. It is a testament to Freddie's positive nature that he could write it when he was so ill. Heaven For Everyone was initially written by Roger Taylor for his band The Cross and you can find his video on Queen Official with Freddie on backing vocals. Freddie also sang lead with Brian on backing vocals which appears on Made In Heaven and is also on Queen Official. See which one you prefer.
Yeah much love, my artist ❤. This song is not my music. But its perfect singing. And classic with up coming pop❤. Nice. Queen take care for tje changes in the music that time..❤

What a gorgeous voice . An emotional song ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks prada xx
This was the very last song written by Freddie. It's magnificent!
I always imagine this song as Freddie explaining his feelings and his first views of and from heaven. Brings tears to my eyes. ❤
This was amazing how Freddy sang it and queen will forever live in our hearts. I myself have never heard this song, but Freddie Mercury you sang this with all your strength and thank you and rest in peace you are really missed..

It is a great tragedy that we will never know what music Freddie would have produced had he not been taken so young. Beautiful song.
Nothing from the official Queen Channel will get blocked. Queen knows that reactions are another way to keep the music alive and introduce it to new fans.
Such a beautiful song... Miss Freddie, thank the lord for you tube ❤
Love your enthusiasm. This is one of my favorite songs. He was sick but his voice was on top. This song is how I feel heaven is like.

This is the last song Freddie wrote and recorded. He recorded just one last song after this one before his death. Called "Mother Love"

Freddie's statue is by Lake Geneva. Beautiful beautiful song great reaction
The London press was brutal. Freddie found peace in Montreaux (long “O”), Switzerland.
You would love the song "Bijou" since you like Brian's guitar. Also "Brighton Rock".
I agree. But also Brian's "Resurrection" ...

An uplifting track, while acknowledging what was happening to him.
I loved it ❤❤❤❤❤
