The last women’s fantasy description of the situation somehow reminded me of the movie/novel “Misery”. They cripple them (the Palestinians) then label them as unable to succeed and they (the occupiers) view themselves as the saviors.

It’s like asking a child why they stole the sweets, first they have to admit to themselves that the theft occurred, before formulating an answer.

The discomfort with how they answered this question shows they know it’s an occupation and they are on the wrong side of it.

These Israeli need to spend a day with a Palestinian family in the West Bank… then they concluded whether it’s occupation or not… I understand that the strong can dictate the situation but please, we are all human being and deserve some decency

I can remember when Israel would openly refer to it as an occupation.

“We don’t want to control them” but “they can’t have an army, or military alliances, they can’t be a threat to us”

In South Africa they also said it was necessary. Hell....Hitler thought it was necessary to do a holocaust. All atrocities in history were seen as necessary by the perpetrators and most of the time justified as protecting themselves. All genociders feel the need to protect themselves against the people they see as their enemy. Fear is a way stronger motivator than hate. And the guy was right, Israels apartehid is not like the one in South Africa, it's worse.

I'm British and I know my country perpetrated so much suffering on so many people as a colonial power...and I hope Britain will start to make reparations for that. But hearing these people speak is like I imagine British people would have said in a vox pop about Ireland in the early 1900s. It always goes back to the bible though... so it's like "this book, which my ancestors wrote, says that only they have the right to this part of Earth"...

They know it’s an occupation. You can see it in their faces when asked the question. They just don’t want to admit it to themselves.

This is probably the most telling videos I’ve watched in this series. Well done for being brave enough to ask the question.

The cognitive dissonance is amazing. And the justification that was our thousands of years ago is incredible.

When they try to answer a uncomfortable question they start talking faster than Ben Shapiro

The first bloke is an absolute classic. He says there is no occupation then proceeds to mention all the things that are in place that make it an occupation. I don’t Understand what fantasy works these people think they live in

The woman at the end of the interview displays the exact type of underhanded subtle bigotry and racism that is so difficult to deal with. That sense of entitlement 😤 she presents as someone level-headed and normal but her the way she validates everything falling under the umbrella of “if they (Palestinians) want to” or “they don’t know how to rule/govern”.

It's not an occupation unless me and my people are occupied

That first guy is really struggling because he knows it is an occupation.

It’s funny how they have a smile on their face. When the question is asked that smile disappears quickly.
