I know I have been terribly hard on the Palestinians but ater watching this documentary, I can understand their frustrations. I do believe the settlements/occupation is causing the problem. I don't condone killing innocents on either side, but I did not know there were SO MANY settlements THAT deep into Palestinian land. WOW! What an eye opener. This issue has to be seriously addressed by both sides. I love this documentary and I wish it were longer. It has pretty much cleared my confusion on this issue.
I hope you share this new insight with your peers and entourage, it is incredibly disheartning for Palestinians to be painted as the bad guys by everyole while they are the victims. But I have hope. And thank you for opening your heart to a new perspective.
Thank you for your kind words. I have to say that the first step towards developing more peaceful relations between Palestinians and Israelis must start with Israel disbanding the settlements and allowing the Palestininan people to set up a formal government where they are in control of their own territory to the Palestinian people freedom of movement and dignity and to allow that government to promote job growth, education and further progress. There is no doubt in my that both sides CAN do it and that DEEP down inside BOTH sides really want to do it. It's such a shame that the Palestinian people suffer so much at the hands of so many. I recently spoke to a Palestinian man living here in the USA and he told me he nor his family actually likes Hamas buthe feels the rest of the world is not listening to Palestinian concerns about the occupation.Let's keep out fingers crossed.@@aminaassbayou85
You are confused there is no such country as Palestine. What we in the west call settlers were welcomed by the populace in the area at the time and sold their houses to the new Jewish incomers ,when they improved the area they wanted it back . if the Jews can hold on to the land it is theirs , That is the way it is after centuries of persecution the Jews deserve a home
“For many settlers, the redemption of the land is the only way to make Israel’s soul whole and pure again. And yet the irony is, I believe that Israel is on the verge of losing its soul by redeeming the land, by expanding, by creating more settlements.” I think this is pretty obvious and neatly summarizes where this is going for Israelis.

All of Israel is settlements in the Palestinian backyard. In 1880 there was a 3% Jewish population, and 95% Arab/Palestinian. Then the mass immigration of Jews came in. And now they control everything, how can anyone be sympathetic to Israelis when they invaded and have been committing genocide on the Palestinian people for over 100 years. But Israel has a killer Public Relations network, to obfuscate the ethnic cleansing they are perpetrating. They wanted these attacks to take place, so they have an excuse to wipe out more Palestinians and annex more land. Far easier to kill and take over, then try to force them out.

Hah.... Well said! I hardly ever care what Americans think. We are fed on 100% "GRADE A" CIA BULLSHIT from cradle to grave and it takes decades to recover from this propaganda assault. Let us not forget that we are the ones funding the Palestinian genocide, which is in our DNA. We think nothing of having virtually erased the indigenous peoples from the USA in our own land grab. ( Point in fact: The Cherokee Indians ... disliked by all other tribes.... were the wealthy plantation owners of the south until they were driven out. )
This all started during WWI. The British were desperate against the Germans. The Zionist Jewish leadership (not all Jews) made a deal with the British that they would help bring America into the war and help fund the British war effort. In 1917, government official Arthur Balfour wrote a letter to Lord Rothschild, a Jewish lord, saying they would support a Jewish homeland in Palestine and to let the Zionist organization know that Britain would support it. Problem was at that time, the population was 92% Palestinian Arab. Of course, so many of the Arabs have been ethnic cleansed and kicked out.
Weird, I'm the same. I didn't know much about this mess before Hamas attacked Israel the other day. And from what I've watched and researched, including this same video as you - I have concluded that freeing Palestine will involve deporting the Jews, and achieving a free and peaceful state of Israel will involve deporting the Muslims (a wonderful example of the failure that is multiculturalism, as the West is just beginning to feel: But that's another story...) Anyway, I have concluded that Jews were there first thousands of years ago, and for the last 700-Years have suffered serious oppression (whether of not worse than current Palestinians are suffering is not my point) My point is Christians have the Vatican, Muslims have Mecca; is it so much to ask for Jews to have the Temple Mount? As for Hamas + Gaza, I cannot invision any good or legitimate claims they can make following their actions. But still, I have seen Muslim street parties + celebrations in London, Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam, etc. - They aren't simply chanting 'Free Palestine' as you put it - If I even write what the Muslims chant I'll get banned for life. Maybe your research can take you to "Raja Casablanca FC Fans singing about Palestine" - Then you may feel a tinge of symathy, understanding and even support for Israel's treatment of Palestinians + creation of Settlements. It doesn't make it the right thing to do, but it is understandable given the murderous hordes that will be on their doorstep, showing absolutely NO mercy given half a chance - As Hamas highlights in the extreme.

The US lawmakers said Israel “selectively bans materials that it considers having 'dual use' - any item it claims could have a military application.” They also condemned Israel's restriction of Gaza's fishing zone as a form of collective punishment. “Although the restriction was recently reversed, the decision to collectively punish the people of Gaza by unilaterally restricting its fishing zone remains extremely concerning,” said the letter, urging Blinken “to work with the Israeli regime to refrain from such harmful and illegal actions.”

The barbarism we see from Israel today is exactly the kind of fascism my father fought against in WW2. The victims have become the perpetrators.
Let's not confuse the Israeli government with the Jewish people. Not all Jews are Israeli, not even all Israelis are Jewish and certainly not all Jewish Israelis support the colonialist settler policy of the government and army. Would this mean to you that the millions of Palestinian refugees who live in UNRWA camps in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, and all the other descendants of Palestinian refugees who live abroad have no claim to return?
That's an oversimplification. First, before the Arabs waged war in 1948, every single piece of land where Jews lived had been purchased legally by them in arms length transactions. The same cannot be said for Arabs who emigrated to Israel, most of whom did so after the Jews of the pogroms came and cultivated the land and built infrastructure for the first time since...EVER. Unlike other refugees around the world over time, Jews were the only ones who constantly had doors shut to them. They are also the only group to be subject to multiple expulsions, and always for no reason other than that they were Jews. Moreover, unlike other places around the world that people were forced to flee from, the region of Palestine - not to mention much of the rest of the middle east -- remained mostly empty and untouched but for the small communities and tribes of Turks, Jews, Arabs, Druze, Christians, etc. Thus, by the 1880s and thereafter, land was literally there for the taking (but, again, legally purchased). Except that once more Jews came, the Arabs started to realize that their ability to dominate and subjugate the region's Jews was coming to an end. So they did what tribal Arabs always do - violence -- not because they actually wanted the land but because the Jews were becoming more than peasants that the Turks and Arabs had treated as second class citizens for 700 years. Okay?!
It's not complicated at all. Britain and the Zionists committed attrocious acts against God and their fellow man, and commit blasphemy in a daily basis. It's not complicated in the slightest, Israel is evil.
It always comes down to one thing: Power. No one will give you land. It must be taken. Tomorrow you might have no power and will have your land taken by another. And so the wheel turns and turns and turns.
Israel always been that way. In Palestine, Jews, Christians and Muslims lived peacefully until in 1881 when the white Ashkenazi (central and eastern) European Zionists came from Europe with the idea to take the Palestinians lands without the Palestinians on it. Since then they bought some land, and killed and cleansed various parts of Palestine all the while lying about wanting a fair and equitable 2-state solution. So here we are...
The video made me really sad. At the end of the day, a human only needs just a piece of land which he/she can call home where his/her family lives on with love, prosperity and a sense of security.

I know, this reply is like 2 years later, but..thought i'd still say. The thing is from personal experience it really is what you describe in your comment, both living in the same country, live happy, multiple cultures, and it is the coolest thing. Its easy when not living in Israel and just reading things/watching opinions on social media about the situation to feel a certain way, likely the way expressed by whatever material/opinion you have been following, but it really is a whole different situation when you are actually living it. I know the media loves to say that Israel is Apartheid and all, but there were so many times while actually being in Israel I thought that was the most hilarious and absurd description from seeing such a diverse and multicultural environment even just in the playgrounds in Jerusalem where you had religious Jewish kids and religious Muslims kids playing together, or the very mixed working environments, or universities or even just going on a popular jogging route. Ideally people should visit Israel for themselves, and not only listen to what is said on the media. You know they might be really surprised.

One could even argue that the Jewish meddling in Syria is at fault for the casualties incurred in their civil war. It’s happened before. Hah.... ( Point in fact: The Cherokee Indians ... disliked by all other tribes.... were the wealthy plantation owners of the south until they were driven out. )
❤
And from what I've watched and researched, including this same video as you - I have concluded that freeing Palestine will involve deporting the Jews, and achieving a free and peaceful state of Israel will involve deporting the Muslims (a wonderful example of the failure that is multiculturalism, as the West is just beginning to feel: But that's another story...)
Anyway, I have concluded that Jews were there first thousands of years ago, and for the last 700-Years have suffered serious oppression (whether of not worse than current Palestinians are suffering is not my point) My point is Christians have the Vatican, Muslims have Mecca; is it so much to ask for Jews to have the Temple Mount?

Because Hamas are snakes. They have dome worse. The media has no right dirtying the righteous side
The US media is mostly tilted towards white wealthy Protestant capitalists, and Israel is considered an outpost of the post, plus many very wealthy Jews, on top of the white Protestant support, use millions of dollars to fund the "right" candidates i.e. pro-Israeli, and their allies are influential in the media, so stories about settlers about Palestinians being abused, international law ignored isn't that important because Israelis are doing it. “Unfortunately the recent Israeli air campaign in Gaza has only worsened living conditions, inflicting $380 million in damage to the beleaguered Strip and necessitating $485 million in immediate humanitarian and reconstruction aid,” the letter highlighted.
The letter then called on Blinken to work with Israel and Egypt, clearly state which materials are allowed into the Gaza Strip, and review the efficacy of the so-called Gaza Reconstruction Mechanism agreement.
The US lawmakers said Israel “selectively bans materials that it considers having 'dual use' - any item it claims could have a military application.”
They also condemned Israel's restriction of Gaza's fishing zone as a form of collective punishment.
“Although the restriction was recently reversed, the decision to collectively punish the people of Gaza by unilaterally restricting its fishing zone remains extremely concerning,” said the letter, urging Blinken “to work with the Israeli regime to refrain from such harmful and illegal actions.”

Would this mean to you that the millions of Palestinian refugees who live in UNRWA camps in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, and all the other descendants of Palestinian refugees who live abroad have no claim to return?
Sure, it does. Jews never stopped living there. Arab Muslims are occupiers.
Okay?!

William Eric Wolff Americans and British people use their taxes to fund for terrorist attacks in the Arab countries. How does that make you feel?
William Eric Wolff Very cunning how quickly you switch viewpoints from ethnocentric to religious narrative in order to justify the point you’re making. Whom ever cultivated that dual identification was a clever sorcerer indeed.
You’re pulling false equivalencies out left and right. While you are right about the dysfunction of the Muslim religion, which I would say is present to some degree in all zealous religious ideology to some degree or another, Syrian statistics or past religious zealotry and upset does not justify what’s happening in Israel. One could even argue that the Jewish meddling in Syria is at fault for the casualties incurred in their civil war. It’s happened before.
I’m not saying your wrong about the concept of a people’s right to a home land. I think Europeans have that right as well and should exercise it in the nations they already have, and the US should protect their borders. It’s the slippery language and hypocrisy that pisses me off. Mostly it’s the Kalergi plan that justifiably angers me. Rules for me but not for thee; cut the shit. Don’t stir up trouble and mayhem in other countries with divisive rhetoric and immigration, while in the midst of taking land by conquest.
