      @@DerekElliott I'm actually deep into 3d now, using Blender since 2016, dabbled Cinema 4D before that. I'd say do more Logo Animations, and building company signs in Blender. I already make time lapse videos of those, but detailed tuts like yours would help the fans.

      I think i found it. I actually used the array as a start. Then i used a copy loc and copy rot and applied the array modifier. No each card has this copy loc and rot and i set its influence different for lots of them. I think i did do that manually, but it would be easier to that by script.

    really cool tutorial. One question, is there a reason you used a long focal length instead of an orthographic camera?

    • @DerekElliott
      @DerekElliott  5 років тому

      It's all just style preference but I tend to like using a long focal length when I'm trying to be a bit more realistic. Orthographic will remove perspective right away though so if that's all you're after then it's good there. I do use Ortho for more stylized work though.

    But I really like the concept making 3d stuff and also l like beautiful UI designs, I sometimes make UI designs for different apps on Photoshop (mobile version, it's pretty old but works)
    So I don't have a powerful pc, I have a laptop with an i3 which also isn't much powerful to probably render these blender stuff

    Let me ask you some questions. Search brands or do you offer them your service? Because I have seen second brands that do not have good commercials and I always think there are potential customers there. I never worked for a brand, but many times I see that it has ugly commercials, and I imagine something better done in blender. Maybe they're just delusions of mine haha. Cheers (google traductor)

      I think showing brands with bad ads how you can do better is a fantastic way to get freelance work! Do a few on your own time as practice to build some reputation and then you will have people wanting your services for $$$$
