      False. All the original Berliners were driven out of their flats at first by West Germans, then by rich kids used to rental costs from London or NYC who are happily paying 900 for a studio, driving the rents up massively. It's a mono culture of young hipsters. In Neukoelln you at least see a few more older Turkish ppl, but that will disappear soon to.

The people are unfriendly as hell, the infrastructere is nothing compared to NYC or something like London/Tokyo. The salary is bad, the weather is not great, there is no beach, 0mountains and litteraly everything is worse compared to NYC or other citys besides 2things. Techno clubbing and international food.

      @NauticTL Even if its true that earlier it was common that latin people married latin, white married white, russians married russians and today it has changed it doesnt mean that its bad.
      What do you want? that everyone should be forced to marry the same ,race' or what?
      If a human is in a relationship with another human for a long time its not because of the skin of the color its because he/she loves her/him and enjoys beeing with spending time with the human.
      You can love a black woman more than a white woman because the black woman has better characteristics, attraction, looking or shows good social skills as mother/friend etc.
      And the same can happen to you for falling in love with a white or asian woman.
      If you look for the race at a partner you end up beeing unhappy because you may have or you may will let the REAL love of your life go for a white woman because you thought the white woman would be better because of her skin.
      Please learn about Spirituality, the law of attraction, the 7 hermetic principles, Astrology, astral projection, Dopamin Detox, etc. to grow mentaly
      If you watch too much racist themes for example you end up beeing racist more and more because
      You are that what you consume.
      A human is that what he consumes pls dont forget that.
      And also dont forget that you can fight hate with hate but you cant defeat it that way, the only way to defeat hate is with love 💛

As a German... I don't know about that.
      Berlin is awesome (I live here) but it's really not everyone's cup of tea. Many come here, not realizing that Berlin got bombed into a pile of rubble, so there are very few historic buildings left. Also there aren't many exciting landscapes in and around Berlin.
      Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely a fantastic city and worth a visit, but you have to know what to expect and what not to.
      Even if it's a bit cliché, cities like Paris or Rome, Venice, Lisboa, Amsterdam... they all beat Berlin when it comes to looking at grand historic buildings. So if the atmosphere of classical european cities is something you enjoy, be mindful that Berlin has only a couple of concentrated spots that look historic.

    Question? My family came to the US after WWII. I have never had the opportunity to visit and one day my wife and I plan on visiting. Are there bad neighborhoods or streets that you should stay away from especially at night. I was wondering because we will have our kids and I want to know if it can be bad there in Germany like it is here in the US. Cities here in the US you don’t go to at certain times because of gangs and the possibility of being shot. Are there risks like that in Germany.

    • @JapanPotato
      @JapanPotato  2 роки тому +2

      There are bad neighborhoods but I heard from many friends who lived in the US before that most bad neighborhoods in Germany are nothing compared to the US. You have very strict gun laws here so the possibility of getting shot is also very low. I’ve never been to the US so I can’t judge it by myself. But I’ve been out filming with my very expensive camera gear (around 7K USD in total) here at night in bad neighborhoods recently and nothing has happened to me. I recommend you to see it by yourself. It’s not too bad.

    • @Bowhunterohio
      @Bowhunterohio 2 роки тому +2

      That’s awesome. Here in the US you would definitely not be able to walk around with expensive gear whether it’s day or night. It’s really ridiculous how crime is so bad. There was a time when I was younger that if you had an issue you would both fight it out. That don’t happen anymore. My wife even has a concealed carry because of how dangerous it can be. I’ve always wanted to
      Go to Germany and visit and it’s nice to know that it’s safer than what it is here. Something else that is nice is it seems everyone in Germany isn’t in such a hurry. Here in the US everyone is in a hurry even if it’s to go nowhere. WhTs crazy is it’s almost like it’s been engrained in us because I find myself being in a hurry even when I’m an hour early. No one wants to ever slow down
      Here. Your videos are a one of a kind. It’s crazy how such a simple video of walking through the streets of Germany can be so relaxing and just cool to watch. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

    It's nice how it gets gradually darker as the sun sets. By the end of the video it's night and you can see many young people are on their way to whatever it is they have planned for their summer evening.
    The protest at the 19:00 minute mark caught me off guard though. 😳 Wonder what that was about.
    Edit: And a bike accident at 26:50! That guy's scream was funny. 😄

      19:00 Lebanese and Palestinian flags, veiled women: possibly a protest in response to the explosion in Beirut in summer 2020 caused by Hezbollah: probably some Islamist-anti-Semitic reversal of circumstances in support of Hezbollah. Herrmannplatz is a place that is better left at nightfall.
