Once West Berlin’s poorest area, Kreuzberg became a hotspot for counterculture after the Berlin Wall came down, and now boasts countless museums and galleries, as well as many of the city’s trendiest cafés and restaurants. There is the large Turkish community in Kreuzberg.

This is a walk that I’ve done thousands of times. Everything in this video is so familiar to me and I miss it so much. I used to live on Mariannenplatz back between 2003 and 2007 and this was my essential hood that I did everything in; met friends, went for concerts at SO36, ate at Hasir and Maroush... bought groceries at Kaiser’s and Penny Markt. I’m so happy that you filmed this. It brings me a lot of comfort to experience this here in Singapore. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment! Hasir is nice restaurant in Kotti. Kaiser's was bankrupt, now there is Rewe in same place. I would like to visit to Singapore! I hope after COVID crisis.

It looks like ghetto, but very vibrant. Many immigrants and youth hip people live here, mixed international culture and new cafes, bars and restaurants. You must visit here!
