Nicely done. Sure takes alot of work out of cleaning. Being an old man, I still clean old school. Was shown all things as a lad by my great uncle in 1958, learning with his 1880 Colt SAA in 45Colt with his Ideal 310 loading tools. His loads were black powder and cast lead. He used water to clean and oiled everything with Ballistol. He "discovered" it when in WWI, after obtaining some from German prisoners. He had a friend overseas, that would ship it to him as it was almost impossible to find here. There's always a can or two of Ballistol here today. It, and Clenzoil, are all I need. And both treat everything I use very well. No room for a sonic cleaning device, and besides the fact that I can't afford one.
Hello Dustin, I've been subscribed to your channel for about a year now but I rarely comment, I picked up a R.R. W/6 1/2" bbl 19 months ago and enjoy it quite well, I use an air duster in a can the kind used on computers and It works well on my knives as well, blows away dust and helps disperse lubricants on both, the percussion revolver on the rest at the beginning of the video looks like an 1847 Walker Colt, That is my favorite percussion revolver and the Colt Army Model 1860, I need to start watching more of your video as I find them interesting, I'm subscribed to over 1,000 channels and I need to dump a few, I enjoy watching firearm videos and got my first .22 rifle in 1966, so I know a little about them, and you seem like a very nice Gentleman, Thanks for sharing this. 👍 🇺🇸
Cleaning G2C and Heritage Rough Rider 6.5 very similar, bath in warm water and Dawn Natural with no color dyes. The only thing I would recommend is a good clear water rinse to make sure all soap residue is off before drying and oiling.
Check out the Guns of the West store here: gunsoftheweststore.com
Every time a see a Heritage Roughrider Im happy. there's such good little guns
That's a good investment, that sonic cleaner.
Sure is!

Thank you Dustin. :)
Wow. This turned out really nice.👍👍👍👍
Thank you for this information 😎
An air compressor is pretty darn handy for cleaning black powder firearms.
I have the same color including the handle in which I inherited from my dad, I invested the 22 WMR mag cylinder with a tribal engraved, it’s cool
Where can I get me a set of those grips
Thank you dustin.
Do you clean your cap and ball guns this way too?
I do.
I found your video on cleaning cap and ball guns this way. Do always disassemble them completely or just field strip them?
@@sasquatch885 Completely when I’m using the ultrasonic.
Thank you for the quick replies! I enjoy your channel. I’ve learned a lot.👍🏻
Nice info great video.
What size version of the ult. Machine do I need to fit my walker barrel in?
super! How many Litre/Liquid is the capacity of the ultrasonic pool?
I have one but the barrel is a little bit shorter than yours. I just like the proportions better. It looks more like a larger gun.
Muito legal 👏👏👍👍🇧🇷🇧🇷
Will this work with a deep fryer instead?
Will the 2L clean a pietta black powder .44 revolver?
The barrel may hang out, but you could do half the barrel for part of the time and then switch.
@@GunsOfTheWest thinking of taking the gun apart
I kindly like the gun tho :D
You don't rinse it off with clear water before drying it?
I never do. It isn’t necessary.
Wish I had an air compressor.
I wonder how they cleaned their guns back in the western days when they didnt have all this fancy technology
overkill......and you are miss pronouncing "BALLISTOL"
I’m a Ballistol dealer and have spoken with them. I pronounce it correctly.
@@GunsOfTheWest in that case .....sorry....
