You have got your self one very nice gun. I just got me a new roughrider. With the 6.5 barrel. Its the one with the new color . Camo green.the handles have all kinds of colors in them. Probably going to get the one with the 4.78 barrel and orange handles . May get the one with the mag. Cylinder.
Jeff I think me and you are in the same boat. That's about how long I've been using it ever since I was a kid and cleaned my first gun. Thanks for watching
My Ruger Wrangler is my first gun. Shooting it and cleaning it is helping me learn all about gun ownership. I've been very pleased with it so far. I bought wood grips for it before I had even shot it thanks in part to your videos. 😄
It seems everyone has a special way to clean a Gun, I cannot tell you how many revolvers I have cleaned in 50 + yrs of shooting but Many times I always Manage to knock the Bottle of Hoppes Over LOL Nice video....Cheers !
I went and picked mine up today. It came a couple days earlier than I expected so now I'm bigtime excited to get out to my range. I wish I could run across a short .22 bore snake too. I use the one for my AR's sometimes but the thing is so long it's just overkill and a pain to work with in these little guns. One of my 6.5" Heritage has a lot of wear on the frame finish too. I have a feeling they just use a single blueing solution for all of it instead of using a separate one made more for alloys on the frame. Birchwood Casey makes a blackening solution specifically for alloys I've been thinking about trying out on the wear areas to freshen it up a little. Nice video. 👍
I just watched your video, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to see you shooting the barkeep. Thanks for watching. Oh and I subbed to your channel. Looking forward to going back and watching your video collection.
Whatever you choose for home defense the important thing is to actually have something for home defense. And if this is what you choose I would say it would work just fine. Although you might want to look into buying the Magnum cylinder for it and load it up with some 22 magnums. Thanks for watching
The frame is aluminum alloy so they probably anodized it (poorly) and the barrel is steel so is blued. That's why they don't match. Anodizing scratches easily and will wear quickly. But it's meant to be a budget gun so they have to do what they have to do to keep the costs down. Nice gun though.
The frame is zamak-5 according to Heritage. And yes it is poorly anodized from the factory, but that's not uncommon for Heritage. My older model looked like it had been dragging behind a truck straight out of the box. But has always been a good shooter. Thanks for watching.
Anytime you're in this neck of the woods. Load up the car with all the guns you got. bring them over and we'll sit and clean the sons of guns. LOL thanks for watching
Yeah, some folks never clean their guns, and some (we are in this group) are positively anal about cleaning...there is room in the middle, folks that clean only when the firearm begins to fail...our thinking is any gun we depend on, for carry, HD, or hunting, why give away an advantage that is under our control...?
I made the mistake of ordering a Heritage Carbine based upon their advertisement on their website...it was delivered without the sling..I contacted them..they said oh, that model doesn't come with a sling...I countered and told them they only advertise one model on their website...one model only..with a sling...they don't even have it on their website as an accessory to purchase...this is at worst advertising fraud, at best, well..still advertising fraud in my humble opinion..I ordered base upon their Webdsite presentation of the firearm...HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...not right..
After over 54 years , the smell of Hoppes still makes me smile.😊
That old familiar smell, LOL thanks for watching
It’s a pleasure watching someone do something he/she is knowledgeable of and enjoys doing. 👍
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.

They sent me back my grips when they replaced the black widow. Thanks for watching

I have been thinking about one of these myself it’s on my bucket list the holster Marc Thomas made you does he sell those?
Yeah he does. Marc Thomas blackjeep0623@gmail.com
Have you thought of getting a 22 mag cylinder for this revolver?
Yeah I have thought about it.
Nice video but you should try clp instead of hopps
I have switched to clp
Where did you get those grips

How much was the Bar keep?
I paid 156.99 at kentucky gun company
Looks good Rob! What time do I need to bring some guns over for a free cleaning???

Most people just load it & shoot
