Favorite LZ song my stock answer is the song I am listening to at that time and this is coming from a fan since 1971 and seen the band twice in NY at the garden
@@danielburdick1721 I envy you, Daniel, because I never got to see Led Zeppelin live. I did however see the Yardbirds live in December of 1966 at the Rochester War Memorial arena in Rochester, New York. A young Jimmy Page was the sole guitarist in the band at the time, and I was flabbergasted when Jimmy pulled out a bow to produce some of the eeriest sounds I had ever heard from an electric guitar! An experience I'll never forget ....
Yes my man!! Get this. I’m a 63 yr young black man whom grew-up on LZ when all my black friends were listening to Motown and other R&B. They use to think I was insane for liking LZ, but they also developed an ear as I introduced to this incredible band. I’m loving how this generation & Culture are opening to LZ.
I don't understand the whole "Best" concept.... I saw Led ZEP a few times, Once when they played hard, And a couple times after they became legendary. The Jimmy Page effects pedals/J.Bonham bare handed drumming, With R .Plant wailings and interplay..1970/2 those were moments..
How cool was it that I grew up with this Music? Damn! I'm blessed! I was about 14 when this came out.. we were so lucky with all the Bands that came out in those times!
I grew up in London in the 60's and 70's and it was so exciting. Right through the 70's i was going to so many concerts, and saw LZ 7 times in that decade, best was at knebworth 78? 79?
Best band ever!!!! Best sound best everything I'm happy I got to grow up listening to them and having them in my high school years in the whole bit just love this song
Funny story; when I once got into an argument with my dad,I called my mom and asked her if she was sure Jimmy Page didn't owe her back child support!😂😂
Rock, Blues, Jazz, Rockabilly, that's what they are about. All Led Zeppelin songs are my favorite songs. Led Zeppelin makes music for everyone to enjoy.
I first heard this at age 14 in 1977, and I'm still blown away 44 years later. Thanks to whoever for Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and the immortal John "Bonzo" Bonham!
"Kashmir", followed closely by, "Stairway To Heaven". "Whole Lotta Love", takes the third spot. Those big three are locked in. After that, it changes depending on the day. But a few candidates to round out the Top 5 are, "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You", "Dazed And Confused", "When The Levee Breaks", "Going To California", "Ramble On", and, "Hey Hey What Can I Do".
Yes and the old blues roots run so deep can never be uprooted as is the foundation 4 so much more. Respect to those great blues artists men/women live on as this shall.
I love all their songs , my fave is No Quarter by Zeppelin off Houses of the Holy , great album , I have all their albums , they are 50 yrs old , all my albums , thank you hun
Zepp is thee GOAT. In 1000 yrs people will be amazed to hear this. As far as fave song, Lemon Song if I was stranded on a beach and could only choose ONE.
They also have slower folky/country influenced songs, and they even did a reggae song and had pychedelic influences too. Nothing was really out of bounds for them.
One of my most favourite Led Zeppelin songs, love the pattering beat, the guitar, then that gorgeous baseline catches me every time I hear it.💞💖 Hard to pick just one, but Kashmir really does it for me and over the hills and far away.
I'm 50 years old and have been listening to Zeppelin since I was about 12-13 y/o.... I CAN'T pick a favorite!! So, I'll just say, my favorite Zep song is whichever one I'm currently listening to, and there's one for EVERY mood or season in life.... They aren't only LEGENDS (well deserved), they are #1 of all time, out of any genre.... PERIOD!! The 4 of them together, can't be beat!! Haze, you gotta see them LIVE to get the full picture. Recommend: "Whole Lotta Love" Live at Madison Square Garden... Jimmy does a Theremin "solo" and they "play" a bit and do some "ad-libbing"..... You'll see some of the magic between these guys in that performance!! It's a FUN one!!!
I was given this--the second Led Zeppelin album--for my 10th birthday along with ABC--the second Jackson 5 album in 1971. I've never managed to recover. I STILL consider them among a small handful of the greatest recordings of the last 65 years or so, along with: Kind of Blue - Miles Davis Live at Birdland - John Coltrane Quartet Rubber Soul - The Beatles Revolver - The Beatles Trout Mask Replica - Capt. Beefheart & His Magic Band Are You Experienced - Jimi Hendrix Experience It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back - Public Enemy Freak Out - The Mothers of Invention ...others I could name.
I'm a new subscriber who grew up in the 60's and 70's. Your enjoyment is so contagious!! Keep up the great work. You're rapidly becoming my favorite reactor!
I love Kashmir, When the Levee Breaks, Stairway to Heaven, Ramble On, Bring it on Home, Whole Lotta Love, Battle of Evermore, In the Evening and Gallows Pole
Led Zeppelin all 4 members were at the top of their craft. John Paul Jones on Bass Robert Plant on vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar and John Bonham on drums. They were a supergroup really,
They are soon freaking good. When disco was big, their answer was " Dancing Days"! Another masterpiece. Houses of the Holy was my favorite album with their first album. Cheers, Chicago Ray!
My favorite is the 1973 Madison Square Garden live performance of DAZED AND CONFUSED. Don't just listen, you gotta watch it - all 28 minutes of it - all the way through. Don't watch it broken up into different videos, watch the whole performance. Epic. You'll be scraping your jaw up off the floor, that is, if your mind isn't too blown to function.
Fav. Led Zeppelin Ten Years Gone, The Rover, When the Levee Breaks, Kashmir, Houses of the Holy, Going to California, many More Misty Hop? etc Please Play
This is one of my fav top, has special meaning 4 me beginning back mid 80s. A girl and i time 17 was leaving that place (we shared) Ramble On is magical>
Zeppelin is truly one of the greatest rock bands to ever grace the Earth. They're probably my favorite rock band ever (up there with The Beatles.) My favorite Zep song is "In My Time of Dying" - it's an experience you'll never forget. And if you're looking for other Zep songs that you haven't reacted to, I suggest "Achilles Last Stand" and "When the Levee Breaks."
There will never be another L.Z. The GOATS of all time!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 The best for me is: in my Time of Dying! But then again the one I am listening to is my favorite. 😁
It is incredible for me to watch another generation, even another culture, discover the greatness of Led Zeppelin

That is so true! 👍
IMO this is the best answer to that question of your fave LZ song: The last one I heard.

My go to Led Zeppelin song is when the levee break's but every song is different and amazing ❤️
Led Zepplin is always a pleasant mix of HARD Rock and Blues. Just accept what they have to give . The only thing better is to see them live!😎
Saw them twice at MSG
They have more influences than just blues.
This isn't really blues per se...
It's like Blues/Folk/Rock
They also have slower folky/country influenced songs, and they even did a reggae song and had pychedelic influences too. Nothing was really out of bounds for them.
Kashmere is Roberts Plants favorite song. Kashmere is my fav too, but there ate so many songs which makes it hard. All their songs are great.
Fool in the rain is my personal favorite
Yussssssss!
Me too (one of my favorites at least)! Such a fun, playful song, makes me smile every time I listen through.
Can you imagine us back in 1969 when this album was released? It was like nothing else in the world...and we liked it. And we still do... Thanks man!

Ramble On might be my favorite....
When the Levee Breaks is mine....1927 flood story - Epic Drums and Harmonica and wailing Plant vocals with blues dripped all over!
“Achilles Last Stand”. You’re not even ready for how intense it is.
No objection from me. Greatest ever!! ❤👍🏽
There isn't one song I don't love!!

"Thanks to you I'm much obliged". "For such a pleasant stay".
