If that was a 500 lap race I'd get nothing done today. Thanks for putting this up - really takes me back to those fantastic Bathurst days. I was in the Holden camp (dad worked for the General) but none of that really mattered. What a sensational drive - you were held up all over the place - kept your calm in the off and pulled a fantastic race together. No race format today IMHO gives the same emotional experience and raw feeling of 'man and machine' (or 'lady and machine' for all you PC types). Cheers and thanks - Dave
Agree 💯% Trying to build a Playlist of Bathurst Telemetry Laps is criminally difficult, considering how many laps have been filmed (and broadcast) in all of it's epic history
First corner of lap 3 that was some bad luck and on that same lap you just hit 300km/h at the end of conrod straight. I enjoyed watching you, it was a great drive mate
Great 👍 stuff ! @ 5:26 , Here in America some of us like to call this here , A lil too much mustard or a little too much hot 🔥 sauce. The pure sound of the falcon , I love it If you close your eyes it sounds exactly like an old school NASCAR Winston cup car from the 90's & early 2000's era.

@@stephenbachman132 I had an xd, same thing, took it for new tyres and an alignment and after that it felt like it had power steering all the time, drove that thing for years with heavy steering

Near perfect race setup. Looked like the strongest car in this lineup. Several rearview mirrors got real happy when he was turned around in traffic. Conrod Straight driving was epic!
That was an absolute pleasure to watch and thank you for leaving in the little event at the last corner. But one thing I did notice is right foot braking? I have never seen a racing driver use that technique
That engine is a sweet sounding bit of kit. what a rocket ship. 300KPH down conrod. Beautiful. And hear that engine buzz up over the hump up mountain straight.
That was one smooth driver and brings back memories of me of racing at Kyalami, albeit not with such power. Loved to have tried it though down Kyalami’s 1mile straight with those beasties
Super enjoyable footage, incredible driving, and man does your car fly! Simply blows past the other guys on brakes (mostly skill) and on the long straight (mostly car). Wow.
if its a top loader,or 4 sp, it has to be geared to do top revs at end of conrod. cortina, 1965 gt 500, had a 55 mph first. my escort twin cam, 1973, did 45 mph 1st. so, there nearly 100 ks anyhoo.. original vid, not on ytoob anymore. of an xy gtho.1971, on vic roads, doing 160 mph.. doctored down to 140, for the news paper. std car.. with 3 people, filmed from back seat.
Stuff me mushrooms that thing has some top end. Had no idea they knocked on the door of 300ks. The worst part was how much you had to hold back. Last lap was fast 👍🚗🏎
Hi Steve, the car is built to NZ Central Muscle Car rules and in Group1 we are allowed Nascar engines. The Falcon runs a 358ci RoschYates SprintCup road race engine dyno at 875bhp for this trip on Elf103 octane pulling 8500rpm (for the feature race we spun it to 9000rpm)
I would choose to watch this over current V8 Supercars any day! What a machine & driver!
Incredible !
The speedo and the heart rate monitor are mesmerising to watch. He’s so calm.
Love how it rips through the gears and effortlessly hits 300 down conrod. Great to watch. Need a tacho added to the video!

Damn........hittin 185 mph on the straight. This is so awesome. Best 15 minutes I've spent in a long time!
Telemetry is great. Its a crime this race series has such limited television coverage.
Yes I was just about to say that this telemetry needs to be shown on V8 Supercars there is everything you need here to look at.

a seriously fast falcon, very clean and crisp on the highest revs, a ton of exceleration
Perfect balance of grunt and handling what a beast, credit to the driver and builders.
Watching in 2024 and wow what a red-hot go. The sound is pure bliss 👌
EPIC in-car footage ! Love all the telemetry and the view of Andrew doing his thing
As an owner of a DJR sierra i love watching these races , that was great to see , very impressive driving , i would love a go in that animal .

Awesome man! Long live the XE! I could watch this all day 😍
The overall pace of this XE is insane. Love it 👌🇦🇺
What a great drive, pity you got caught up in old mates moment, all the hard work undone. Definitely has some grunt.
Jeebus...! With a clear run, 300 on C'rod, and 255 on Mtn Str! That's deffo more than I expected from anything in this formula.

Very heavy going slow like parking. Was actually good at highway speed.

ON-BOARD is amazing!!!
Awesome car & drive! To all the flogs who say falcons don’t handle well, watch this beast
They don't. Look at the man hrs put into this thing.

What an absolute beast! Pure joy to behold and listen to.
Nice to hear a couple of V8 hot laps without commentators talking all over it.
The sound and vision reminds me of that old NASCAR video game from the late 1980’s
Great upload, Just Brutal too listen too.
As much as I love the look and sound of these old cars, what about the track? Mt Panorama is such a cool circuit!
Man this Falcon flies and great driving :)
Thanks for the upload. Really enjoyed this on a rainy Sunday. Cheers from NY
Cheers Benny
Love the footage, definitely one of the fastest cars in the category.. good call on sitting out race 2, she was slippery out there..

9:45 Oh, my.
That loud pedal is awesome! 😎
What sort of engine does this have? How much power is it putting out? You should add those details in the description.
I'm guessing the Falcon is running a 351 Cleveland V8 making about 500-600 HP. Maybe even more.
This is bloody brilliant! This is what V8 Supercars should be
Demonic engine and great driving, proper heel and toe like it should be!
