Re: pie in oven, yes if it's a plant based pie you can store it in the oven if your house is cool. I've stored plant based pie in the oven for a week and it's been fine. It's a good solution if you have a household that nibbles pie a bit at a time, and it tastes best not chilled. Saves room in the fridge and keeps the pie sheltered from pets etc.
Yeah my dad sometimes leaves oven things ("pão de queijo") in the oven if we didn't eat at during night so to not let it dry in the fridge and not have to find other recipient

i actually interpretted toriel using pet shampoo as an indicator of the dreemurr family facing financial struggles, cuz when you think about it, toriel has been supporting two kids on a teacher's salary alone since she and asgore separated and only recently did asriel "leave for college", so the pet shampoo could just be cheaper than monster shampoo. also there has to be a market for monster products cuz there's literaly monster medicine, but there could just not be enough of a market for monsters with fur. just my interpretation of that line
I always thought it was interesting how the prophecy mentions that the heroes only appear after the Earth "draws her final breath." The phrasing almost implies, to me anyway, that we've already lost in a sense

You know...I'm glad I watched this video. I always ran through the light world so quickly that I didn't pay attention to many small details. But now I see...the light world really doesn't make sense. The architecture of Toriel's house simply does not correspond to reality. The house outside and the house inside are two different houses. A school classroom without chairs...I have never seen anything like this in my life. And Toriel has pet shampoo...for herself...implying it was made by humans. At the same time, there is not a single human in the city except Kris. It would be strange if such shampoo was sold in the city of monsters. Is she buying shampoo from a nearby human city? Or do monsters simply have no production and rely entirely on human goods?
Ooo what if Kris ate the pie because they were actively dying while they were doing their mysterious antics after ch1? You hear the damage sound effect when the soul's ripped out and the pie is a full heal in undertale
Oh, that's an interesting idea. I think it's more likely that's just them being a teenager and being constantly hungry, especially since they've been previously characterized as always eating any sweets they could find, but I really like that idea.

Okay right off the bat I gotta mention, Ralsei was presumably distracted during the beginning section, he was explicitly building stuff in his spare time. So it’s entirely possible no one was paying attention to the new dark fountain until later. Or could have happened during the school day and no one had gotten the chance to really check. Either way there’s a few different windows where it could have happened and Ralsei could have not noticed.
But he said he SENSED a presence. Even if he wasn't looking at the sky, he'd still feel it. Plus, everyone's outside when Kris and Susie visit, so EVERYONE would see it, Ralsei included, if it was visible at that time.

I rarely ever comment on lore videos because I'm sorta scared of people judging my perception of things but I just can't get this out of my head - that little blanket underneath the TV is red and thus doesn't fit into the color scheme of Kris' home at all, I feel like, at least not with the colors in the living room - area. Also it looks a lot like the cape/ascot, Ralsei called it I think, that Kris wears in the dark world. I don't know, this doesn't make any sense at all but it's cute to think that when Asriel and Kris used to play together when they were kids (maybe role-play games) Kris used to either really snatch that blanket and wear it as a cape or they'd imagine themselves wearing it? So the dark world Kris is just what they'd imagine themselves like as a superhero or it's their inner child of some sort (that got hurt when Asriel died & never had the chance to heal) I don't know if that supports the whole 'the dark world is only a game imagined by Asriel and Kris' -theory...But it just came to my mind and I found the thought really cool, even if it's complete nonsense, which well, it probably is🫠 EDIT: The little blanket also looks a lot like Papyrus' scarf and Kris' outfit in the dark world could be interpreted as some sort of battle body I guess...I'm just throwing a bunch of theories together here, my bad😅 A theory I actually believe though is that Undertale is a game that Kris & Asriel played together, I read about it over on reddit & I like the idea :)

Unlikely i think, because noelle keeps referring to kris as "childhood friend", which means that they haven't been that close to eachother (i assume) since dess' disappearance.
23:40 the "hey kris, are you awake" makes me imagine this scene where kris is on the floor after closing a dark fountain, but when they come back to the light world the wounds are still there so there's a knife on kris's chest. That would make the noooooooo more plausible, toriel wakes up thinking git was just a dream and when they go to check kris they're actually beaten up, bruised, and have a deep knife wound.
I wonder if Susie wanting to "use the hammer" in crochet could be a reference to the knight. It might just be coincidence since it seems to be referencing croquet, but you never know with Toby.
All the comments about the layout of the house being hard to deduce really hit home. I tried to make the world of Deltarune in Minecraft and gave up after the Dreemurr house.
One thing I want to point out, is that for the "call home" also being Toriel's cell phone, there used to be something you could hook up to your home landline that would forward the call to your cell phone. My mom had that set up when I was growing up. Though it's likely just an oversight

Mayor Holiday (The Knight) was opening dark worlds to find a cure and free Dess. * They have to fight Mayor Holiday, let Rudy die, and leave Asriel and Dess in the Dark World, they close the fountain with all of the characters in the fountain and cause The Roaring. * Dragon Blazers is based off the Dark World Mr. & Mrs. Holday explored together. * The timeline is reset once they close the fountain in the dark world and they have repeat the cycle over and over again. The only ones who know about the loop are Seam, Jevil, Spamton, Mike, Elf Dess, Fallen Angel (Secret Boss of Church), The Knight, Dess, Asriel, & Ralsei.
It's kind of odd how much Noelle still trusts Kris, that she believed them when they told her Susie eats chalk. I don't if that says more about Noelle or Kris.
The point about "call home" changing to "call toriel" indicates that the interface doesn't have to show all the phone numbers kris knows. Which weakens the argument about asriel not being reachable by phone a bit.
I'd like to bring up the fact that the earth is referred to as female, and then there's also the OST named "But The Earth Refused To Die." Which also contains a heartbeat, and plays when fighting a female character, a character who will most likely be involved later with Undyne. You might bring this up later but I'm only 30 minutes in 😭

So either Kris did something, or some offscreen event occurred, that actually interrupted Toriel there. 1:46:07 Actually, I think the window in Kris's room is extra evidence that Kris actually did spend a notable amount of time soulless, and did more than eat the pie and plug the TV in. The window's dialog directly states that even after a *long night*, the sunrise is still the same. I don't think those two actions alone are enough to constitute a long night.

It's funny, chapter 1 uses the same "your name is" thing as Undertale's "my name is". In Undertale, it was Asriel. Could be the same in Deltarune, Toby coming right up to the line of straight up telling you the twist yet again. Also, what if the "kris is that a knife" bit is actually *also* something Asriel said, and not Toriel? It sounds like Toriel's voice, but if Asriel is older, he could have a voice that sounds more like Toriel's or Asgore's. You'd think it was more like Asgore's, but Asriel is in choir, so it's possible as he was going through puberty he trained his voice to be able to keep doing higher pitches, or his voice just might naturally not be as deep as Asgore's. If it was Asriel, that might be related to the stain?
Hey Jaru, have you maybe seen the video by Kooki and Haxor debunking some of your theories? I know its not really the most enjoyable type of content to watch as a creator, but I really think they gave some decent counterpoints and advice regarding that stuff
@@JaruJaruJ Well, I wouldn't say it was outright toxic, both of them did clarify that the video was not meant to be an attack in any way They were admittedly harsh at some points, but well, as theorists it made sense for them to correct stuff like logical errors or stuff that wasn't fully factual Again, I get that it having people dig into your theories is not super comfortable, but part of the creative process is also seeing potential bad sides to it. A theory being wrong isn't a bad thing, and seeing what were the potential problems can help us improve our process That's why I recommend at least giving it a try, even if to just make your own opinion about it instead of relying on what other people have to say (including me)

And then like a minute later they make a joke about Jaru's mental health. Not to mention all the wrong corrections (which is most of them), obvious misinterpretations of his points, and middle school level insults.

Ok so im not sure if it was mentioned because I havent finished watching the video yet but before I forget theres some figurine like shapes in the windows of the kitchen/living room and the way theyre set up almost looks like a scene taking place in front of a fountain? So the first is like two beings facing each other in front of the fountain, the next next window shows one of the figures kneeling down while the other appears to grow horns/coming closer, the third looks like the figure lost its horns and the third looks like the figure that lost its horns is SHOOK while the other becomes either completely prostrate or is lying there dead??? (Edit) AND in between the third and forth window is a picture of a heart...
I actually have sort of an explanation for why Noelle and Ralsei level up the way they do that I'll be including in part 2 of Variable Angel Theory once I finish writing that. I'm not watching these until I can binge the entire chapter in one disgusting weekend. (The first time I watched Ch1 I was in a bad-reaction-to-medication induced haze and I was in and out of consciousness over the course of a few days. I had them on play for 3 days straight and over the course of those replays I was able to piece together all the bits to a full video. 50:35 This is actually leftover code from undertale. This are the default stats in undertale but they get overwritten for the LV 1 stats when you start the game, so i don't think they mean anything. EDIT 51:57 It seems so! In chapter 1, you can talk to Catty about Asriel and she said she went to the prom with him.
Interesting thing to note regarding lv and stats is that you can overpower the normal stat gains with the power of incredible violence, if you catch every encounter in cybers world you will be 2 points of atk higher than normally when sealing the fountain (wiki states only +1 but it's wrong lol) so your power lvl isn't exactly tied to kris sealing the fountain, its something else. Interestingly enough this max encounter number, 40 i think, for max stat gains is exactly what you get for aborting snowgrave route at berdly. Seems intentional to me.
I noticed a few interesting things in the intro sequence: - Delta rune: it is spelled as 2 separate words. Implying that Delta is an adjective describing a rune. Idk if this is just a wording thing or if there is a deeper meaning to this - at WORLDS' EDGE: the apostrophe placement shows that the heroes stand at multiple worlds' edge. So are these the multiple worlds that the heroes enter throughout the 7 chapters? Is this implying that the player's end of game route choices will affect each dark world we visit (or possibly every dark world/alternate universe ever created)? (alternate universes including Undertale's world/timeline. Which makes me think back to how Toby recommended to have Undertale installed already before downloading Deltarune)

I rarely ever comment on lore videos because I'm sorta scared of people judging my perception of things but I just can't get this out of my head - that little blanket underneath the TV is red and thus doesn't fit into the color scheme of Kris' home at all, I feel like, at least not with the colors in the living room - area. Also it looks a lot like the cape/ascot, Ralsei called it I think, that Kris wears in the dark world.
I don't know, this doesn't make any sense at all but it's cute to think that when Asriel and Kris used to play together when they were kids (maybe role-play games) Kris used to either really snatch that blanket and wear it as a cape or they'd imagine themselves wearing it? So the dark world Kris is just what they'd imagine themselves like as a superhero or it's their inner child of some sort (that got hurt when Asriel died & never had the chance to heal) I don't know if that supports the whole 'the dark world is only a game imagined by Asriel and Kris' -theory...But it just came to my mind and I found the thought really cool, even if it's complete nonsense, which well, it probably is🫠
EDIT: The little blanket also looks a lot like Papyrus' scarf and Kris' outfit in the dark world could be interpreted as some sort of battle body I guess...I'm just throwing a bunch of theories together here, my bad😅 A theory I actually believe though is that Undertale is a game that Kris & Asriel played together, I read about it over on reddit & I like the idea :)

After about an hour i came back to my bedroom and found that you were still jn Chris' room. I cant begin to express jjst how funny i found this. About Kris being number 3, when you meet Noelle in ch1, she asks if you need help with project and that she prepared some ideas already. Maybe Kris is like berdly, getting help from Noelle?
Unlikely i think, because noelle keeps referring to kris as "childhood friend", which means that they haven't been that close to eachother (i assume) since dess' disappearance.
23:40 the "hey kris, are you awake" makes me imagine this scene where kris is on the floor after closing a dark fountain, but when they come back to the light world the wounds are still there so there's a knife on kris's chest.
That would make the noooooooo more plausible, toriel wakes up thinking git was just a dream and when they go to check kris they're actually beaten up, bruised, and have a deep knife wound.

All the comments about the layout of the house being hard to deduce really hit home. I tried to make the world of Deltarune in Minecraft and gave up after the Dreemurr house.
As much as i dislike your interpretations of the story , I'm really glad you are a part of this community Jaru. Cant wait for part 2.
One thing I want to point out, is that for the "call home" also being Toriel's cell phone, there used to be something you could hook up to your home landline that would forward the call to your cell phone. My mom had that set up when I was growing up.

MY CHAPTER 3-7 PREDICTIONS + KNIGHT THEORY
CHAPTER 3
* Tenna (TV Guy)
* Secret Boss: Mike (Off-Camera Boom Mike Which is broken and thrown away)
* Worlds are city (Suziezilla!!), The weather, & a cooking channel
* Tenna betrays the fun gang and wants to film their death for content
* Toriel, Napstablook & Undyne are there
CHAPTER 4
* Light-world focused
* Go to the Holiday house and learn more about the Holidays + Dess' dissapearance.
* Open a secret dark world in Dess' room and it leads to a Christmas-themed lightner where a Elf on the Shelf who looks like Dess is the hidden/main boss.
CHAPTER 5
* Toriel, Kris, Suzie, Asgore, Mr. & Mrs. Holiday go to church with Pastor Alvin
* A Dark fountain is opened in the confession booth and everyone goes in
* You learn more about the Knight, and find out that both Asriel and Dess are trapped in a Dark World somewhere. Kris knew Asriel was going missing and he told Kris to cover for him until he came back. Kris opened the Ch. 3 Dark World to look for Asriel, and wanted help from Toriel & the police to find him. He is not in that dark world
* The person crying for help in the code is Asriel
CHAPTER 6
* Toriel, Suzie, Noelle, & Kris search Hometown and open many mini-dark worlds in hopes of finding Asriel, Dess, and/or the Knight.
* Find multiple Shadow Crystals and make a weapon/tool to find them. (You get the true ending and a special weapon if you have beaten all of the hidden bosses, or did the Weird route.)
* Open the Dark World in the bunker. Chapter Ends
CHAPTER 7
* Explore an abandoned dark world that's science themed, and you find Asriel. He tells you that he was going to run away with Dess in the dark world because they were upset with their lives but they got stuck.
* They explore the dark world and find Dess, but the knight prevents them.
* Turns out that Rudy didn't have cancer but was horribly wounded in the dark world. Mayor Holiday (The Knight) was opening dark worlds to find a cure and free Dess.
* They have to fight Mayor Holiday, let Rudy die, and leave Asriel and Dess in the Dark World, they close the fountain with all of the characters in the fountain and cause The Roaring.
* Dragon Blazers is based off the Dark World Mr. & Mrs. Holday explored together.
* The timeline is reset once they close the fountain in the dark world and they have repeat the cycle over and over again. The only ones who know about the loop are Seam, Jevil, Spamton, Mike, Elf Dess, Fallen Angel (Secret Boss of Church), The Knight, Dess, Asriel, & Ralsei.

It's kind of odd how much Noelle still trusts Kris, that she believed them when they told her Susie eats chalk. I don't if that says more about Noelle or Kris.

The point about "call home" changing to "call toriel" indicates that the interface doesn't have to show all the phone numbers kris knows. Which weakens the argument about asriel not being reachable by phone a bit.

So either Kris did something, or some offscreen event occurred, that actually interrupted Toriel there.

The window's dialog directly states that even after a *long night*, the sunrise is still the same. I don't think those two actions alone are enough to constitute a long night.

It's funny, chapter 1 uses the same "your name is" thing as Undertale's "my name is". In Undertale, it was Asriel. Could be the same in Deltarune, Toby coming right up to the line of straight up telling you the twist yet again.
Also, what if the "kris is that a knife" bit is actually *also* something Asriel said, and not Toriel? It sounds like Toriel's voice, but if Asriel is older, he could have a voice that sounds more like Toriel's or Asgore's. You'd think it was more like Asgore's, but Asriel is in choir, so it's possible as he was going through puberty he trained his voice to be able to keep doing higher pitches, or his voice just might naturally not be as deep as Asgore's. If it was Asriel, that might be related to the stain?

They were admittedly harsh at some points, but well, as theorists it made sense for them to correct stuff like logical errors or stuff that wasn't fully factual
Again, I get that it having people dig into your theories is not super comfortable, but part of the creative process is also seeing potential bad sides to it.
A theory being wrong isn't a bad thing, and seeing what were the potential problems can help us improve our process
That's why I recommend at least giving it a try, even if to just make your own opinion about it instead of relying on what other people have to say (including me)

They literally start the video saying something like "We don't mean to attack Jaru... But we're gonna clown on him anyway". You can't say one thing and then do another.
It's fine to analyze someone else's content but admittedly they were aiming to be mean and sensational.
The worst offender was their point about Asriel and mental health in the second part. They accuse Jaru of spreading misinformation about mental health, even if nowhere in that video does Jaru make any statement about mental health and they acknowledge it but only as a passing "whatever" mention, and then they interject their own interpretation of Flowey's character and pass it as factual.
And then like a minute later they make a joke about Jaru's mental health.
Not to mention all the wrong corrections (which is most of them), obvious misinterpretations of his points, and middle school level insults.

And as for mental health, they did specify that it probably wasn't intentional on Jaru's part. Either way, assuming "More trauma = more evil" and misusing terms like a socipath is still.. i dunno, a bit insensetive if you think about it for like, a minute or two?
Not to mention that it's just wrong, Flowey and Asriel have specific reasoning for being the way they are and just calling it a "trauma spectrum" is not a good way to portray it.
And as for the joke, If you mean the "I'm sorry for what experiences lead you do think being an Adult is all about depression" thing, yeah, I agree the implication of that one line is.. not great to say the least. Though at first I understood it as a comment about the media he consumed rather than personal stuff, but fair point.
Also, what assumptions have they made that were wrong? None of them were exactly far-fetched imo, and they gave pretty good evidence for stuff like Spade King knowing the prophecy or things being different between games, so i'm curious what they said that was outright false

Ok so im not sure if it was mentioned because I havent finished watching the video yet but before I forget theres some figurine like shapes in the windows of the kitchen/living room and the way theyre set up almost looks like a scene taking place in front of a fountain? So the first is like two beings facing each other in front of the fountain, the next next window shows one of the figures kneeling down while the other appears to grow horns/coming closer, the third looks like the figure lost its horns and the third looks like the figure that lost its horns is SHOOK while the other becomes either completely prostrate or is lying there dead???
(Edit) AND in between the third and forth window is a picture of a heart...

(The first time I watched Ch1 I was in a bad-reaction-to-medication induced haze and I was in and out of consciousness over the course of a few days. I had them on play for 3 days straight and over the course of those replays I was able to piece together all the bits to a full video. This are the default stats in undertale but they get overwritten for the LV 1 stats when you start the game, so i don't think they mean anything.
EDIT 51:57 It seems so! In chapter 1, you can talk to Catty about Asriel and she said she went to the prom with him.
Interesting thing to note regarding lv and stats is that you can overpower the normal stat gains with the power of incredible violence, if you catch every encounter in cybers world you will be 2 points of atk higher than normally when sealing the fountain (wiki states only +1 but it's wrong lol) so your power lvl isn't exactly tied to kris sealing the fountain, its something else.
Interestingly enough this max encounter number, 40 i think, for max stat gains is exactly what you get for aborting snowgrave route at berdly. Seems intentional to me.
I noticed a few interesting things in the intro sequence:
- Delta rune: it is spelled as 2 separate words. Implying that Delta is an adjective describing a rune. Idk if this is just a wording thing or if there is a deeper meaning to this
- at WORLDS' EDGE: the apostrophe placement shows that the heroes stand at multiple worlds' edge. So are these the multiple worlds that the heroes enter throughout the 7 chapters? Is this implying that the player's end of game route choices will affect each dark world we visit (or possibly every dark world/alternate universe ever created)? (alternate universes including Undertale's world/timeline. Which makes me think back to how Toby recommended to have Undertale installed already before downloading Deltarune)
worlds edge being different worlds could mean that the ending will be at the edge of a shadow, where reality ('light') and dream ('darkness') meet
How did I not notice the chalk thing…I never experienced this in game…I swear it skips to Susie shaking Kris.
