Mistake #1: I completely forgot about the Red Element! When Susie used Red Buster in her fights with King/Queen, the Element changed from Rude to Red! Gah! Hopefully that's just the Heart Element or something. ;-; Mistake #2: The Sky Mantle is just in the code, not in Malius' shop. Whoops!
Also!! In the Spamton sweepstakes we see on her blog that she frequently finds glitches in her games, and in one them she downloads a pipis into her game from an email from spamton, which could also be called a virus the way it spreads through her game
I haven't seen the video yet but, this comment reminded me of how the metafor of "worm on a string" can be interpreted as "Kris is the bait for us players to someone else's goal (aka Gaster)"
@@joseffblake whoa, that connection is like... how deep are we in this Deltarune theorist fanbase at this point. What's more insane, thst connection can TOTALLY work with NO problems... wait 1) super elaborate connections 2) tons of theories floating around the internet 3) this game is mysterious and goofy at the same time 4) tasty content outside of the game, both cannon and not 5) entire sets of theories that sound like conspiracy theories, but can absolutely turn out to be true 6) the game is created by someone who understands internet culture 7) Gaster as someone mysterious who appears over and over again in some very specific and hidden spots, but is super powerful and has it's own cypher 8) a concrete number of chapters that is not going to increase 9) unclear dates of release SWEET BANANAS, IT'S GRAVITY FALLS ALL OVER AGAIN
Honestly I think the most strong argument linking Cat and Puppet is just the string connection, and I think that's what Toby is going for since Spamtom has a lot of mentions about the strings, and balls of string and cats have a more strong connection than cat toys.
yeah, this guy has some good points but he legit brought out worm on the strings from a sweepstakes event which KINDA a stretch when that connection is right there
Okay, but why is it called Element 6? It can’t be a coincidence or the elements just being numbered 1-?. Even if it was just that, Deltarune and Undertale have a lot of history with the number 6, a lot, and Tasque manager as well as Spamton know Jevil, creating a weird triangle of relations with them, and connecting the number 6 to it opens up the door to so much more. I think this’ll be elaborated on in later chapters, and I just find this question interesting.
TBH Jaru made the connection with Cat and puppet much more complicated then it needed to be. Puppets are often made of yarn and Marionettes are famously controlled by string. Cats play with yarn and string. It’s that simple. No spamton worm venn diagrams necessary.
@skelly1555 Or he is just overthinking and ignoring the obvious simple answer... like me. Undertale and deltarune have complex lore and everything that it is almost difficult to say " Puppets are made of yarn and cats play yarn because... too simple, there must be something else in play here". (Actually, that's kinda how every theorists do nowadays, looking too much into something while overlooking the obvious)
When i look at the element "Heart" i just think of "Color" because first looking at these elements the Toby Fox way there is souls which are usually represented with hearts and unique colors and supporting the darkners who use the element "Heart" they come in different colors and unique personalities, looking at the darkners who use the element "Color" ... Swatch and the Swatchlings they are probably meant to be color wheels (maybe the Swatch is the color wheel and the Swatchlings are just colors??) and when Swatchlings change color their personality or emotions change as well, just like how the souls and the colors of them in Undertale represented a personality (for example kindness=green justice=yellow etc.). i was just watching the video and when i saw you paired the elements "Heart" and "Love" and i wanted write down my toughts :p anyways keep up the good work, i love to see it!
@@Dan-kq1sc Adding onto this, the Swatchlings actually do give evidence for this. The different kinds of Swatchling colors give different attacks and are coordinated to their *emotions*, on top of this I think the attacks for each color are subtle references to the ways these colors have worked in Undertale (I had to literally look up their attacks since I did NOT remember at all what they were) Red / Orange - This attack is very basic and has a bird of that color just go toward the enemy, it reminds me a lot of the first ever Froggit attack with the flies. I can only really think this is coordinated with Red and Orange because of how proactive it is. The Swatchling's quote when changing to red is "I'm seeing red" which is usually said when someone is overtaken by anger. This would work with Bravery being the name for the Orange flag in the ball game and Orange Attacks requiring you to move through them. This also might give some insight into the Red of Determination and how it may be linked to the bravery to stay alive but I digress. Yellow / Green - Dishes on the sides of the battle box have their lids fly off to hit you in the center, sometimes featuring green attacks underneath that heal you. This one feels like it has 2 connections with actual battles from Undertale, having the green healing attacks and the movements of the dishes very much remind me of Mettaton's leg attacks which relates to the Yellow. The two names for Yellow and Green from the ball game are Justice and Kindness, both are unabashedly good things, which is actually a distinction that I don't think any of the other names do. They are both morally justified and the dialog for the green and yellow swatches show this, as they're trying to help Kris by "giving them candy but there's a chance of chipping their tooth" due to the fact they are still attacking. Blue - Blue stands alone, which is strange, you'd expect to see purple and light blue if the colors from the ball game / souls were to be believed but Toby might've just gotten tired of making attacks for these guys. This one reflects the mechanics of the exact soul mode that uses this color, as the Swatch curls into a ball and bounces around the box much like how your soul does in Undertale in Papyrus and Sans' fights. This color represents sadness and also shows mental coldness as well. Sadness in the way of their quote "I'm feeling blue." a pun on the phrase which means "I'm sad" and mental coldness in the way of their dialogue being focused on body slams and turning you black and blue which is pretty violent in comparison to the candies they were giving out as Kindness. This can also relate to Integrity, the ball game name for dark blue which would mean they are morally upright in their stance that you should be defeated, so they act on that emotion. Overall, I looked WAAAAYYY too deep into this, but I think reading into the Swatchlings colors is not something you should gloss over! I think you can really extrapolate something from this, and any research into Toby's use of color relating to character could not only give us insight into the Undertale Souls but also how the colors in general effect the things in their sphere of influence. tl;dr the swatchling colors -> reference emotions -> which reference the soul / ball game names -> which brings us back to hearts and also I'm a nerd.
I'm amazed that Undertale still has little details to learn about, this is the first time I've heard of Knight Knight being easier to spare if you sang with Shyren
There is an Act combination that reverses controls during Madjick's fight. In my opinion THAT'S the most obscure. It was the very last piece of information about Undertale that I have learnt.
@@DogDogGodFog Thank you. In return, I have some obscure facts also: Flowey has very strange handwriting. Papyrus spells Hapstablook's name wrong. Chara's first dialogue was probably released May 26, 2013. Alphys's rectangular glasses were inspired by John Egbert. Asriel is a very good actor; probably having or not having a SOUL doesn't actually change him much. On the surface, one of Toriel's house's doorknobs is backward. Alphys's cameras see the menu. Several of Sans's lines were left out due to coding errors. Suzy is not the yellow kid. The bandage is a gauze bandage. (Kris's is a band-aid type bandage.) The chain smoker in the Snowdin Library smokes cigars, not cigarettes. Alphys turned Mettaton's SOUL up-side down. The human takes a particular interest in the Delta Rune in Gerson's shop. In Undertale's Demo, you can rotate the title. When Burgerpants smokes, the letter on his hat switches from M for Mettaton to W (for Wumbo?) Snowdin's mouse is the only mouse who gives up. The period at the end of the Burnt Pan's description wraps out of the textbox. If you kill all dogs except Greater Dog, Greater Dog is lonely. If you kill all dogs except Doggo, he doesn't know they're dead. Getting struck by Vulkin's lightning attack temporarily increases your SPEED. The unused track "Star" was supposed to play when Madjick's orbs become hearts, but it was removed due to errors. Holding Shift or X makes your SOUL move at half speed. This is never explained. Tsunderplane is probably a ghost. You can get Muffet to spare you by buying about 9000G of Spider Donuts and Spider Cider in the Ruins. Napstablook has arms. In Hotland, Sans claims to not judge. The Judgement Hall's checkerboard floor pattern has one mistake (this one might be fake). Undertale's files contain 10 savefiles. 0 is Chara's, 1-6 are the other fallen humans', 8 is Flowey's, 9 is the final fallen human's, and 7 is probably Lemon Bread's. I have many more (and also Deltarune facts), but I am bored of typing.
Personally, I think Color works best with Heart. This pairs together especially well when you consider the connections within Undertale. The biggest piece of evidence being the souls and their varying colors, with the colors obviously being linked to the souls' personalities or wills. Just as color is on a spectrum, so are souls. Souls are the essence of one's being, and are often linked with the mind. Souls are on a spectrum of thought or will. The connections can continue but that's just an easy tie-in. Swatching being the only color elemental so far doesn't exactly hurt this connection either, as obviously singular elementals can take more literal approaches to their association with their element. This may leave holes in the pairs that have seemingly no evidence to point them towards each other, but it just works too well on its own to not be considered.
Thank you Mr JaruJ, my Dad has the Fight element and by using your theory I was able to protect myself from him by equipping a football helmet that I found lying around (it's very effective at reducing damage against the Sports element). Truly you one of the content creators of all time!
Another connection between Spamton and cats is the fact that Spamton is very obviously based on Mettaton. In Deltarune, Mettaton is a shut in and lives with his cousin, who is Mad Mew Mew (a cat character) in Undertale. Probably a stretch but it makes sense to me.
Also they are kinda opposite and similar as they both are free and trapped for example a cat in a house and a puppet going on a "walk" aka being puppetered to move Also gaster is probably a fan of mewmew kitty cutey because undertale and he may be the one puppetiring spamton
Remember: Spamton doesn't deal puppet damage, the EX suit does. This is a direct connection, Mettaton is the one who designed the suit and arguably is even more associated with the puppet element. Stars are visible in darkness, death follows the scythe, and the lives of those who breathe cats and puppets are intertwined.
I think a good connection between undyne and the fighting element might be justice, as not only is justice a term used a lot in anime by the heros or even the villains, but I think it can be seen as a very common reason for why people may fight to begin with.
elemental pairings remind me a lot of the concept of aspect pairings from homestuck. blood/breath, light/void, hope/rage, mind/heart, life/doom, time/space. abstract philosophical concepts many of which u wouldnt immediately link to their pair but grow closer and closer the more u examine their themes. given toby's history its almost certainly at least a bit of an influence
thats what I thought too! and i even started trying to think if the elements themselves may have any philosophical concepts connected to them, another comment even stated out that Puppet/cat might be connect to the concept of CONTROL as it would fit with tasq manager being a task manager and the whole aspect of something controlling over spamtom
Cats like playing with string while puppets are controlled with them. it could be that puppet/cat represents control, cat elementals control others while puppet ones are the ones controlled. this would fit well tasque manager's control freak nature and with spamton being "helped" (manipulated) to achieve his sucess. (edit:Phrasing)
Random detail I noticed about the elemental pairs, how two elements can be inherently paired together but having one of them does not necessarily mean that the other is representative of you. It kind of reminds me of Kris and the player maybe how they are both contained in one body, but just because they are paired together doesn’t mean they both accurately reflect who Kris is. Idk if that’s a coincidence or a narrative device.
Gaster followers and notably vessels are *devoid* of color, e.g. grayscale. Kris, in isolation, *lacks* the heart, whenever not being controlled by the player. I'm not sure where to go with this but...
Regarding the hypothetical Undead-type, I think it's worth pointing out that the Earthbound Halloween Hack uses three different types of enemies: Living (weak to Hypnosis/Sleepstun), Undead (weak to PK Flash/Whiteshock), and Inorganic (weak to Paralysis/Timestop).
@@JaruJaruJ I personally think that the Blade element is paired with the Red element (or maybe even the heart element?), given how Kris, a sword user, is the weilder of the red soul, which shines its light onto Susie in order to cast Red Buster. Also, Red = blood = often around sharp things
@@Pyracyntrix Yeah, but it's also possible that Kris has two non pared elements. Specifically "Holy" and "Blade". Because, think about it. Kris is the only lightener called "Light Bringer", is the only one who can close DFs, and making me think Kris is somehow the angle, since banishing darkness and light being associated with Holy/Light. Hence "Angels". And the fact that some arch angels are depicted holding a sword, it'd make sense for him to have the "Blade" element & the "Holy" element without them being paired elements. Because those are just strong attributes that Kris has. And while SOME things could be similar, I don't think there's enough to say they're paired. But they both make sense for Kris to have.
@@devlinmcguire7543 Kris can *have* the holy and blade element, all I'm saying is that I think the Blade element shares a lot of attributes with the Red element.
17:48 Seeing the venn diagram of Holy/Electric immediately made me think of those Sun & Cloud sprites we got from the Spamton Sweepstakes lore. "The Weather Always Sticks Together."
Ice is connected to the Virus element a bit more closely; much of the Sweepstakes' lore details Noelle's connection with searching for glitches in video games, which one can associate with computer viruses. Spamton & Virovirokun are also connected to eachother, not only in theme but also with the year 1997, and Spamton is clearly connected to Noelle.
Another detail connecting the Maice to puzzles is that, when using either of the "Trap___" options, a red cage appears that you lower onto them. That's a direct reference to the boardgame Mousetrap, which involves piecing together a Rube Goldberg machine to capture mice as they pass through a "maze." Also, to connect Undyne to sports even more is the time she literally dunked Alphys through a basketball hoop into a trashcan, lol.
One thing I find interesting about Rude in particular is how the game juxtaposes Susie's Rudeness and Ralsei's Kindness. Rude typically implies attacking or doing damage in the game, and this is shown through Susie's locked options in combat at the start of the game. One interesting thing to note is how Ralsei's Kindness meter lowers whenever you're attacking enemies. It can even result in the title "Prickly Prince" if he attacks enough enemies. Adding onto this, when equipping items that deal more damage onto Ralsei such as the Ragger, Ragger2, or Puppet Scarf, his magic decreases. This implies that dealing more damage might decrease the capacity to heal which is strange. Another thing, if Ralsei can teach Susie healing magic, is there anything to say that Ralsei can't learn Rude element magic? This could take interesting turns for later in the story, as maybe if your Kindness gets low enough his magic might develop differently, allowing him the capacity to learn Rude elemental spells. Additionally, there could be implications if Ralsei's magic comes from Kindness and Susie's magic comes from Rudeness considering Susie learns minor healing magic in the second chapter after the first chapter focused so heavily on her getting over her barbaric tendencies. One might say that she learned some Kindness, and then gained the capacity to learn healing magic. It's also important to remember how Kindness was connected to a soul color in Undertale, of which was associated directly with healing. Not that this is proof, because Undertale and Deltarune in no way have the same world function. Just a thematic pattern-based observation. I could just be crazy and calling cause and effect without any basis here but these details are saying something to me in terms of how they might be relevant to the element system in the future. The most plausible possibility to me is that Kindness and Rude are related through SOI kind of like Holy and Light. According to what I've speculated about here, they clearly have opposite functions in healing and damaging so maybe there is a direct elemental link between the power increasing/decreasing of each type of magic. Speaking of Holy, I don't actually believe healing is related to the Holy element at all. That sounds weird because the most common healing spell is called Heal Prayer, and the two characters who do learn it do tend to be religious or have a prophetic goal in the case of Ralsei. However, this is debunked through what I talked about earlier with Susie. Her healing ability is called UltimateHeal (which by the way is apparently weakened by her using it like an attack spell, further proving concept that attacking with intent to harm has some connection to decreasing healing magic) which has literally nothing to do with Holy. She isn't praying when casting the spell, unless I'm wrong and Ralsei connected her to the angel above which I feel like would have been talked about if it had happened. Instead, it's said that Ralsei taught her how to use the spell, which doesn't sound like something necessarily religious in nature to me because if it was that's not really quantifiable as a teachable skill. To add onto this, the orb that coalesces from her casting the spell outside of combat is green, creating even further thematic connection to Kindness. It's also just possible that healing is elementless as well which would make sense considering its healing magic and not meant to be damage. I don't actually know if we've seen a magic spell lack an element yet though outside of Pacify (which could also connect back to Kindness) and Sleep Mist (which has Mist in the name implying connection to ice magic) so that's still up in the air for me in terms of logistics. Again I could just be so totally wrong, just putting it out there as a possibility. EDIT: Okay so after watching up to the Heart and Love section, I have some thoughts. With the Level of Violence conversation, I think Healing might be tied to that concept as well based on my previous thoughts here. As Ralsei gets stronger physically, his healing magic decreases. Could it be possible that a Level of Violence equivalent is inversely connected to your ability to heal? As you get stronger and gain a capacity to harm, your capacity to heal decreases. This idea has never been put into practice before because we played as Frisk in Undertale, a human with access to no healing magic. But this might have greater relevance in Deltarune where we directly get access to something with the capacity of using healing magic.
In terms of my predictions for pairings, they're as follows: For review the ones we know are: Dark/Star Puppet/Cat Elec/Holy Death/Scythe The ones I'll pair are these (no new elements for this one): Fight/Order: Werewerewire keeps order by fighting, you literally have to put Bloxer in ORDER, also Tasque manager has a whip which is a weapon used for fighting and Ponman is a pawn in chess, a war game about fighting. Ambyu-Lance could resemble a medic in a war as well, which heals people who have been fighting. Also, I know queen isn't Order, but she literally has a whole punchout segment which just embodies fighting while as queen she embodies order. Similarly to king, all of the main game bosses thus far have not only been named after chess pieces which is a game about war, but you fight them all. Rude/Chaos: Pretty obvious, don't want to repeat the video here. Mouse/Puzzle: There are literally puzzles with mouses in Ch. 2 do I have to say more Jewel/Color: This one involves prisms, they can refract rainbows and also jewels can themselves be many different colors. To strengthen this theory further, phones, televisions, and computers all use diamonds as conductors in their hardware, which ends up producing color. Both Jewel and Color elements also act as high class members of their society, embodying wealth, vanity, and servitude. Their personality similarities make me think they're one in the same in terms of elements. Heart/Virus: This one's kinda weird but hear me out. Viruses have a virulent effect on bodies and by extension hearts. If it's based on emotions, there's the love fever trope present here. Also Virovirokun has a heart motif on it's body when spared as well as a peace sign possibly hinting at love and peace as another motif. Adding to that, it needs TLC (tender loving care) to be spared. It is also described as being "A virus with a slightly criminal streak... and a HEART of gold." This could also have further implications on us being a virus that Kris is cohabiting with while also being their Heart or soul. Rabbit/Ice: Most of the rabbits we see in Undertale live in Snowdin. If we're pulling from that frame of reference, it might make sense that Ice and Rabbits link up. In fact, rabbits are often said to have fur that looks like snow. the rabbit person at the diner also talks about serving hot cocoa to Kris and Asriel when they were younger. Not the best pairing, but could happen. Blade/Dust: In undertale, blades and dust have a huge significance to one another. When you talk about killing monsters in the underground, the first items that come to mind are the Real Knife and the Toy Knife which are the first and last weapons you find. Stories often are most memorable at their beginning and end, so it'd make sense for dust and blades to be affiliated in this game, even as a twisted memento of Undertale. Also, Blades in deltarune are depicted as pencils in the light world, which create dust in the form of the graphite they use. Kind of a stretch but interesting to note. These are just way less thought out predictions though, so I could be wrong.
For puppet and cats, i always thought they were paired due to the concept that both are taken care of or dependent on a caretakers touch to live. For example a cat pet needs sustenance, love, toys, etc to live a life inside, similarly goes for puppets who need to be taken care of with their fragility, cleanliness, and quality to perform as it was intended to be. Both also follow orders by said caretaker when told to do something. I think theres just many ways you can interpret how puppet and cats could be connected as elemental pairs which fascinates me every single time i learn others reasons on why it is like that.
Cats are infamously known for being disobedient and uncontrollable, it's moreso dogs that are able to follow commands. But otherwise this is an interesting connection. The theme of caregiving depriving freedom, one half showing the consequences whilst the other suggesting a balance is possible.
One other piece of evidence for the Ice-Virus link, the mascot ICE-E is commonly depicted as having the rabies virus. I am also curious as to what element Kris has if any. Kris is stated multiple times to be non-magical (like the description for ACTing), so I could see Kris being an “elementless” character. Kris’ element might also have some tie as to why Kris specifically has to seal the dark fountains, but it’s all speculation at this point.
I think it was one of halfbreadchaos’s videos that said kris would have the blade element. Unfortunately I can’t remember why but I do remember it making a lot of sense.
@@theprovlder it’s due to the association between Kris, knives, and swords alike along with rudinn ranger essentially being controlled by others I think
It surprises me that the first theory video you've made after the insane lore drop is about the elemental pairs, but honestly I couldn't be happier! As much as I adore them, It is a nice break from all the depressing theories you share LOL. Its always nice to see some worm Spamton lore, a long with you explaining how Chuck E Cheese connects to Deltarune. It's all very entertaining! This also kinda almost solidifies my personal favourite concept of Mike being a cat (based off of the Mi-Ke cats, the Japanese name for a calico cat which is ALSO the 'lucky cat'), which further helps to connect Spamton with cats
Something I want to add! Might be touched on later in the video, though, but I want to say it. Based off of Jevil, either you can use attacks that aren't of your personal element, since his element is Chaos:Chaos, or, like his dialogue sometimes seems to imply, the Devilsknife is its own, assumedly Chaos:Scythe element, entity. Yes, I know the Chaos:Chaos element is probably just a joke on one of Jevil's catchphrases, but it could be important.
You didn’t once think that the FIGHT element would be paired with a new ANIME element? It’s one of the biggest parts of Undyne’s being, the DBZ reference in the dojo, and how closely the two are related. You set it up so well too.
I don't even get why we are searching for something that fits Undyne. The two elements share a characteristic, but the character only has one of them. The other has nothing to do with the character, like Spamton not being a cat. Even if it were Anime, that doesn't mean every fighting character has Anime influences
I thought the same thing at first, but when I thought about it a bit more, I ended up agreeing with Jaru's idea of a Sports element. Sports and Fight make sense as two elements connected by the larger concept of shonen anime and manga!
For me, the best thing about your work is how you're not afraid to put out daring but consistent shots in the dark. Even if they turn out to be false, I love listening to you describing the basis of your reasoning. Adding to that your willingness to amend your viewpoints in the light of new conclusions or evidence, makes me believe your videos are the absolute top tier in this sub-genre of content on UA-cam.
Thank you! That's exactly what I aim for with all this. Fascinating shots in the dark are still interesting to think about even if they turn out to be wrong, so I'm glad I'm able to fill this niche well! x)
One thing I wanted to bring up is that there are only 10 elemental defenses (brought up thx to Bread) in the code currently. Now, there’s always a chance that the system gets expanded in the future, I guess, but I think a lot more of the elements we have now are going to be paired with each other than this video theorizes. I think you ended up with 14 pairs by the end of the video? And, obviously more elements are going to be introduced in future chapters. I just find it suspect to expect 2-3 dozen pairs in total.
About the color element, I personally think it's pair is order. The only color enemy so far, Swatchling, is very orderly as they are butlers, and can only be spared if every one follow the same code. Not only that, but their likes and dislikes also follow this theme: the book has a specific order in which to color, while mixed messages could be interpreted as confusing rules. Also, if we're going with the connections in Undertale/Deltarune, the only character strongly associated with color is Asriel, which he uses all of them is his boss fight. And what did Asriel want at that time, if not to order everything and everyone? Oh, and the purely order element character is only white, being the combination of all colors.
I can only think that dog element would be paired with "god" element. Because the annoying dog is a dog that represents Toby Fox, and he is a god of this world if you could say that, because he, or as often said, a dog who created this game. And obviously, whatever direction you read either of these words, you would read either of these words. Although, that would be a feature only noticable in English.
@@Disorder2312Toby would not do this after the headache he had trying to translate the re-fuse pun in the Asriel fight, any sort of joke that could not easily be replaced or translated seems out of the question.
Also, dust is what monsters turn into when they die, blood is what humans have that keeps them alive but you honestly see it more linked with their death (seeing blood randomly outside is not a sign someone is alive and well). They are not paired with the element Death, but they are what signals the death of the two Lightner species.
Watching through this, I'd like to suggest Heart being paired with Fight. The concepts of passion apply to both of them, the colour red is strongly associated with both of them, and in regards to Undertale/Deltarune, you consistently and almost only see your heart shaped soul in fights. In addition, I think this also works with the association you tied with Undyne. Her passion is one of her defining traits. Also of course she's in a relationship with Alphys in Undertale which is often considered a matter of the heart. I'd also like to mention another character in Undertale who I feel is also pretty well linked with fighting as a concept. Mad Mew-Mew. Her fury is a very notable trait of course, but even more than that, she used to be Undyne's training dummy. This perfectly links into fighting in my view. As for how she would connect to Heart, she has a heart necklace! Like I could say she's passionate and a lot of her story revolves around feelings, but she literally has a heart necklace, which you can see in the Undertale Nintendo Switch Release trailer. It's there in her overworld sprite in-game too, although it's too low res to make out as a heart without the context of the trailer
Here are some of my predictions for the elemental pairs, sorted by decreasing confidence: Ice/Virus Fight/Blade = Death/Scythe Mouse/Rude Heart/Color Order/Jewel Puzzle/Chaos ~Fire/Dust ~Rabbit/??? Ice/Virus: In addition to the stuff mentioned in the video, another piece of evidence for Ice/Virus is that Noelle is associated with glitch hunting in video games, which is close to the idea of computer viruses. Fight/Blade = Death/Scythe: Similar to how Thunder/Light and Elec/Holy are two names for the same element, I think that Fight/Blade and Death/Scythe might also be different names for the same element. Otherwise, it seems a bit redundant to have a generic Blade element and another element which is a specific type of blade. As for the pairing, Fight and Blade are both shown as coexisting in the FIGHT button of the UI. Mouse/Rude: Noelle's reactions to mice (initial fear followed by finding them cute) sort of mirrors her reactions to Susie? Also, when fighting Maus, when a trap is set for the Maus, Susie is caught by that trap instead, sort of indicating that she is weak to the same things that the Maus are weak to. Also, considering that Susie has repeatedly shown herself to be resistant to the influence of the player (blocking their hyperlink, perhaps), it may be that similar to how Mouse and Cat are commonly thought of as being opposed to each other, Puppet and Rude could also be opposed to each other. Heart/Color: Hearts (in the form of human SOULs) have been shown to be different high-saturation colors. In particular, most of the colors the Swatchlings take on are also colors taken on by the human SOULs, with the exception of purple. Order/Jewel: A Jewel is very orderly, I guess? Also, both the Pawnmen and the Rudins use diamond shaped attacks. I initially thought that Jewel might be paired with Ice, considering what Berdly's ice cage looks like, but I like the Ice/Virus idea more. Puzzle/Chaos: Puzzle/Chaos is just a shot in the dark. I guess they are both things which initially appear unintelligible which are then "solved"? As Toby mentioned in one of the live streams, all Chaos has hidden within it Order, i.e. a solution (which may also suggest that Order/Chaos is a pair). Fire/Dust and Rabbit/???: Based on the number of elements present in the code of Deltarune, I think that there will only be 11 elements (10 if you don't include element 0, which is what attacks default to). HalfBreadChaos's videos on the elements showcase this for those interested. If the Fight/Blade=Death/Scythe idea is correct, this only leaves room for two more unmentioned element halves. Of course, Toby could just choose to add more elements. Personally, I like the idea that if two elements are listed on the same enemy, then they are exclusively different elements as opposed to potentially being corresponding pairs. I think Mauswheel and Jevil (who is element Chaos:Chaos in the unused files) are just exceptions to this pattern for the sake of humor. If this together with the pairs listed above is correct, then that only leaves Rabbit and Dust as unpaired elements. If the enemy elemental exclusion idea is correct, then they can't be paired with each other, which would indicate that there will be two new elements that will be introduced. Considering that Fireshock is mentioned along side Iceshock, it may be that one of these new elements will be Fire (paired with Dust, I guess?). Other than Frog, I can't think of anything that could pair with Rabbit, although I kind of expect each of the animal-type elements to only be one half animal. Which is why I left Rabbit paired with ??? for now. If I'm correct, this would account for all of the elements. However, it could also be the case that element 0 (the default element) doesn't have a name, in which case all of the elements are already accounted for (though then, I don't know what Rabbit and Dust would be paired with). If element 0 were to have a name though, I think it would be Fight/Blade (again, given the FIGHT button and it generating elemental 0, i.e. non-elemental, attacks). Also, the Puppet/Cat connection may partly be explained by Toxoplasosis (a parasite which forces mice to approach cats and which arguably influences humans into liking cats), as well as by the fact that cats have taken over the internet and by extension, human thoughtspace. Thus cats puppeteer mice to their doom, well as puppeteering humans into giving them free food and attention.
I just realized, for the Fire/Dust element, Dust can be interpreted as Ash. I would normally say that's a bit of a stretch, but considering that Puppet/Cat is an element, I'd say it's close enough.
i just realized... heart and diamond are both the red suits in a deck of cards so it could be order / chaos heart / jewel (or diamonds) plus in the cafe, it mentions how rudinn's best friend is hathy if you seat them together
In real life, crystals are very ordered structures, molecularly. I quite like jewel/order here, and I'd agree with most of your pairings, especially fight/blade. Personally, I think Jaru's connections of puzzle/mouse and especially rude/chaos are stronger than the reverse. Rude/chaos is so connected I think HalfBreadChaos even mentioned the possibility in their video. I think you're right to not make up too many new elements, though.
@@jargalo0098 The main reason I went with Mouse/Rude was the idea that if an enemy has two elements, then those elements are different. I realize Jaru doesn't agree with that idea. I also don't really have much justification for it other than the idea of avoiding redundancy. It would also be a very convenient source of information, though I doubt Toby had that in mind if that is the way he designed the system. To reiterate, I think the exceptions to this are mainly there for comedic purposes, as opposed to acting as indicators against the enemy elemental exclusion idea. Also, I agree that Rude/Chaos seems like a very straightforward pairing, but it almost seems too easy, I guess? I also don't find the Mouse/Puzzle pairing too convincing. I feel like the connections between Susie and mice is obscure but present enough for it to be a hint towards something that is otherwise not immediately evident. Though to be fair, that still begs the question of why the connections between Rude and Chaos, or at least Susie and Chaos, are there if they aren't elemental pairs. Maybe Susie herself is a dual-type monster (namely, Rude:Chaos), and her affinity with Jevil is the resonance between one of these types but not the other?
ok, while listening to your theories, I tried my hand at finding pairs, let me know what you think : - Heart / Dust: the link is essence. Heart is the very culmination of humans soul and Dust, well we could argue that that's what monsters are made of since that's the only thing that's left of them when they die. In the same way, when you kill a human, their body gets destroyed but their soul remains. - Ice / Virus: the link is cold. When you revealed this pair I was happy we came to the same conclusion lolol. I think this one is pretty evident as well. But you could also argue that since Susie is associated with Jevil in chapter 1 (as you said), they're elemental pairs. In the same logic, Noelle being associated with Spamton in chapter 2, a character that is said to be "corrupted data", likely because of a virus, makes them an elemental pair as well, hehe. - Order / Puzzle: the link is logic. I don't disagree with your idea of games but I prefer to associate existing elements for now as we're not sure what future elements could be. For this one it's pretty simple: a puzzle by definition is a problem that as to be solved with logic so it can be put back in order. - Fight / Blade: the link is combat. I agree with you when you say fight is a very special subject in Toby's universe, that's why I believe Fight could also be associated with Puzzle (a problem that as to be resolved with logic and no violence) or order (as in order = justice, yk? hehe, not sure about this one). But these two seem as evident as Star and Dark. - Jewels / Rabbit: the link is luck. Ok, this one is a little far fetched lol. So to justify my reasoning I'd say that Rabbit's foots are considered lucky in some cultures and Jewels can be considered lucky by superstitious people. My explanation isn't as fancy as yours lolol but I believe I'm right on this one. I think it's similar to Cat and Puppet, the link is a bit complicated to see but once you find it it makes sense. - Color / Mouse: the link is wheel. So same as above, link isn't as evident but the play of words is, I think, very characteristic of Toby's style. A mouse wheel and a color wheel. It's funny and it makes sense, I think. There, hope I'm right cause I'm gonna be so happy if it's the case lol. What do yall think?
You could argue that Noelle's blog is an even deeper dive as to why/how spamton's puppet type is related to cat type, because in one section of it, we learn that pipi's are related to Noelle's egg-hatching game, making it a bad-egg,-glitch reference(from Pokemon) and in that same blog, she mentions using glitches to hatch cats in her game
if Toby using Noelle’s blog (and the spamton sweepstakes content in general) gives more evidence for cat/puppet, and I think you’re absolutely right in that it does, then i think it could also be used to further the evidence for virus/ice. which would establish a precedent of using these extra-textual resources and ESPECIALLY using noelle’s blog as clues to the underlying element system
Awesome video as always Jaru! Enjoy some complimentary deranged ramblings~ For Cat/Puppet in SOI theory, I think Strings are another good connection besides toys. There are a lot of references to string-like things in Deltarune. Worm from the String, cutting Spamton's wires, Tasques going after yarn, Tasque Manager's whip...all associated with puppets or cats. Order/Moon doesn't seem quite right to me. I honestly would associate the moon with chaos more than order, and the sun with order more than chaos. Think of werewolves, people who look ordinary (i.e. ordered) normally and become fuzzy, chaotic beings when the moon is out. Or think of the linguistic concept of being loony, associated with luna/moon. I also think that with the weather characters that if we get moon, we probably get sun too. I'll admit I don't have a better suggestion though...maybe Time? Time is a good "esoteric" element that I could see getting included, and you could call being "on time" as being orderly. The 2nd law of thermodynamics also ties time to entropy, which admittedly would fit better with chaos (again) to some extent, but you could also argue order is just the other side of that coin. I recently played Earthbound (which is known to be a major Toby inspiration) and the Dali's Clock enemy is on my mind here and probably having undue influence, which is far more tenuous than any of your evidence-based reasoning, but it's fun to think about. Surprised you didn't mention Fight/Blade as an option. While I think your Fight/Sports idea is really cool and plausible, Fight/Blade seems like it is absolutely begging to be paired. They are conceptually very similar if you interpret blades as anything but tools, as you said, you would use them to fight. We actually see the two very explicitly linked as the icon for FIGHT is literally a blade. Here's my suggestion for Color, and it's one you brought up: Music (or Sound). Color is a spectrum humans experience through their eyes, while musical notes and sound are something like an equivalent for the ears, a different sense. They associated with the chief senses with which most people interact with media like video games or TV shows. It is a bit odd that the Sweet Cap'N Cakes don't have any references to the music element though, but honestly, the element system might not be fully implemented in Chapter 2 yet and it might get retconned a fair bit in the full release. I know that is a bit cope-y, but I honestly think we're going to get a decent explanation of elements in Chapter 3 (with the secret boss probably having something to do with that Sky Mantle) and that it will be a major game mechanic from then on out, so the previous chapters might not have every i dotted and t crossed related to it yet (like how the spare bar got added to Chapter 2). Fire is probably the most obvious element that we haven't seen yet that I expect in the future, and if you're right about Moon we probably get Sun, which seems like a decent enough pairing. I'm not sure how I feel about opposite-y feeling pairings like Blade/Shield and Order/Moon (maybe Dark/Star could be argued as sort of opposite-esque?), but if they are kosher Ice/Fire might be worth consideration as a highly stereotypical RPG pairing. Fire is an absolute staple of elemental systems, and with Toriel probably entering the dark world next chapter, I can't think of a better moment for Ralsei to explain elements than when Toriel joins us or we have some wacky misunderstanding and have to fight her.
Color seems like they have one really strong possibility: emotion/passion The souls themselves of Undertale are an example that come to mind for the symbolism of that connection
What about the idea of ice being paired with a "fear" element? Also I think ya sorta missed one thing, in that in the Noelle blog, didn't Noelle express fear towards the icee mascot? Granted injecting ice-e into anything is a recipe for disaster, and fear as an element might be reaching, since it doesn't have the extra connection that the "love type" does, but it's just an idea
I'd argue that color is in some way linked to Asriel Dreamurr, because not only does Asriel have colorful wings/attacks, but Ralsei (who is strongly linked to Asriel) wears a butler suit and joins the swatches at some point, linking them further to the color element.
I swear, your videos and theories are too fun not to comment on! I think that perhaps the color element could be associated with a “soul” element? Since souls are always heavily associated with color, in that the color of the soul will describe its qualities, much like how the color of the swatchlings describes their temperature? I dunno might be a stretch. Also I love your idea of having videos solely for fanart, that sounds awesome!
Strongly agree that I think colour and soul are linked, and also the ice-virus link is more strongly supported than just through the links mentioned in the video. The fact that Noelle is so heavily involved with glitches and cryptids, her power is to literally freeze enemies which are implied to be computer programs (much like a virus can), and her most powerful ability is the equivalent of trying to access a script that didn't exist, causing a fatal error. In addition, all of the Spamton sweepstakes stuff involving her seems to suggest she may have been the one to accidentally 'download' Spamton, a virus program, to the computer, as well as his viral Pipis catpetterz mod. The connections between her and the virus elements seem pretty extensive at closer look, and also relate directly to her ice powers, suggesting that it's not just an issue of her having multiple elements.
Dude this video is great, I’ve recently been watching all of your hour-long Deltarune videos without stopping, they’re amazing. I would like to add a small thing to your theory regarding the connection of the Ice element to the Virus one. I agree with your idea and points on how they’re similar, and I’d like to add to that by how the Virus can also be connected to Ice by how Kris can affect the entirety of Noelle's character development in the Snowgrave route, almost like how they are somewhat acting like a virus to Noelle, and that she could potentially in the future chapters be totally corrupted under Kris’s influence in the Weird Route, assuming it were to continue. Not really sure it makes total sense, since that seems like more of a corrupted element, but that also made me think about how her feelings could act as a sort of virus to herself. And yes, all of this is definitely is a stretch, but I found it making the whole Virus idea a little more convincing to me. Just something I thought about while watching, probably won’t read this since this came out almost a year ago but just thought I might say something.
One thing regarding your cat/puppet relation theory, something puppets are usually thought of to be related to are Strings, eg: Marionettes, some Ventriloquist dummy's mouths being moved by strings, ect But many cat toys involve strings, including both rope and string itself, so I think that would help make much more sense than the relation with toys. Amazing overall though, very nice to listen to on the drive home from work.
I don't even wanna imagine what it was like to wrack your brain trying to think of any possible connections between most of these elements. Nonetheless made for another banger Jaru video though
I had some small things I wanted to add that can be good evidence to your connections!! SEAN. Sean is literally a cat puppet, maybe he has both elements? And considering pipis seems to be a virus of some sort that spamton gave noelle for cat petters, that also adds another connection. And also, noelle has some more connections to virus. She is associated with her games and glitches blog. There is a lot of connections there. Even the corrupted jingle bells music. and not to mention another connection I noticed; ice can freeze people, just like a virus could freeze your computer.
I'm surprised that Heart/Blade wasn't brought up as a possibility. Chara and Kris both seem to embody the two. They could be related. Ex. one of the battle lines for Hathy is "You told Hathy its teeth look like knives. It began to think about this... [Flatter]"
firstly, thanks A LOT for this video, jaru. all of your theories are both very interesting ((VERY, VERY INTERESTING.)) and deeply thought-provoking. secondly, some additions/suggestions/observations from me: about cat/puppet pair: both cats and puppets are something that is enjoyed by people. we as society generally find cats and toys very cute and want to surround ourselves with cuteness, softness, comfort etc. but cats can also be dangerous when provoked/scared/hungry (lol) and puppets are frequently used in horror movies, games and other content. it's.... a concept of unnerving cuteness that can turn on you at any moment?? about heart/love: in undertale your LOVE increase led to you being more resillient to damage from enemies. in pacifist route during judgement sans tells that you 'kept a certain tenderness in your heart'. if heart/soul are the same in ut/dr, violence makes your heart harden (both literally and figuratively speaking). if you check head hathy, the description says 'it learned to hide its feelings... is that strength?' and 'head hathy showed no emotion at all'. this emotional numbness works like a damage resistanse in these games (and is acquired through the use of violence in genocide). on the other hand, hathy smiles a darling smile during battle ('you strived to do the right thing. you refused to hurt anyone. even when you ran away, you did it with a smile. you never gained LOVE, but you gained love.'), sends kisses, is connected with bakery (like toriel who is the embodiment of motherly love and care), cares for her friends and so on. actually, she and rudinn are good friends, rudinn represents ((real)) knives and hathy hearts ((locket))... sounds familiar... also, hearts and diamonds are the only two red card suits and you can tell hathy that her teeth look like knives. about moon/order: we literally have a month as a unit of time and the very concept of it arose with moon cycles/orbital periods. monthly cycles are the way to arrange and structure our lives, bringing us order. about fight/sports: i think sports element is too specific, in my opinion it should be worded more like fight/competition (you said it yourself (47:01): undyne loves to compete and she actually does this not only in sports but in cooking, establishing friendship with frisk, fighting asgore etc. she also competes with you for a title of a true hero in genocide route (possibly a stretch but that's what i think). btw she's also a knight of a royal guard and what do knights do to prove their worth? tournaments as a form of competition. about rabbits/frogs: during battle, froggit makes 'ribbit, ribbit' sounds. change one letter and you get 'rabbit'. it seems to me that rabbits/frogs are generic 'low-level' enemies in ut/dr. rabbick says 'hop, hop' and froggit 'hops to and fro'. about ice/virus: again, as in 'sports/fight' pair, i think that the word virus is too exact and it should be 'ice/fear'. again, you said it yourself: noelle is easily scared and tends to freeze as a deer in the headlights. she fears that her father might succumb to his illness and die. i'm not sure that it was specified that rudy's illness is viral. it doesn't make sense for him to be visited by people in this case. but illness is definitely a source of fear (as well as a chance for noelle to lose her family member...again). on the other hand, noelle is actually fascinated by fear (i think it's a sort of coping mechanism... girl definitely has her traumas) and seeks this feeling (spamton door, the whole icepalace_glacier thing, her interest in catpetterz that scared her with 'incompatible pet' glitch even before she discovered strange eggs which scared her even more but in the end she kept them). in the weird route, noelle should be entranced by the thorn ring to continue. when surrounded by pain and fear from our actions, she pays less and less notice to how she hurts everyone and herself. seems like the 'LOVE' game mechanic to me but even more twisted ((sword)). about jewel/dragon: there's a room with rudinns after you escape the prison in chapter 1 and one of them is thankful for 'taming the beast that tormented us'. when susie askes about the beast it says 'you even taught the beast to talk'. dragons are beasts, susie is very likely a dragon. sounds like you freed treasures from the dragon's grasp... and the dragon escaped from the dungeon lol about color/book... this 'paint by numbers' line made me think about math. math is numbers right? and what is also as artistic as color and connected to math? it is music. rhythms, beats, tempos, chords, etc...all math. we have a trio of music rebels who directly oppose queen (sweet cap'n cakes) and swatchlings obey her. some people with synesthesia can see music and hear sounds. i think i'm done. this comment is so huge. I'M DEEPLY SORRY. english is not my first language so i couldn't fully convey my thoughts in writing. sorry if you can't understand something i wrote, i tried hard lol
I think a stronger link between the puppet and cat element is not toys, but string. Cats LOVE string. In fact mentions of string is present strongly in Deltarune so it makes sense.
The whole “we will meet undead darkners made from dust” made me think... is Kris gonna keep taking all the darkners to the closet by moving objects? Because even when we got to the computer lab I thought “Queen is a computer, did Kris steal some computers to bring her to the closet?” And if there are reanimated enemies... will we have to grave rob?
Some more evidence for the Mouse + Puzzle connection could be that in Undertale puzzles are used as traps like how mainly Papyrus uses them but also the Ruins as well and of course mice are often trapped in mouse traps so that could work with the S.O.I theory as well.
instead of the book element I think the art element makes way more sense, swatch who would assumably have the colour element as well describes mettaton as making the NEO body through splahing colours which implies it was painted, a form of art. I would say paint by number is a form of art and it would make sense when considering Spamton's talk of easels is hinting at the unused art classroom becoming a dark world.
I have reason to believe that chaos may be elementally paired with order. This comes from a single quote from Toby Fox referring to how Jevil’s pirouette results are predetermined. Something along the lines of, “All chaos is misunderstood order.” This I find very interesting. Rude also ties very well with chaos, perhaps rude and red (from the boss battles in both chapters) could be an element pair as well.
Small thing about cat/puppet relations: I believe tying puppets to toys to cat toys is, while plausible and sound, a bit of a stretch in my eyes. However, a more plausible explanation for their pairing would be the adjacency of puppets to string, which is a strong connection toby has been intentionally showing tied to spamton, the only puppet we have seen thus far. Plus, I've never seen a cat not interested in strings before, so likely string is the sort of adjacent "sub element" that ties cats to puppets. Great video as usual though!
Cats and puppets could be connected by string. The puppet symbolism of spamton is often represented specifically by strings (marionettes), and cats like playing with string (Tasque Manager uses a string-like whip, Tasques have a ball of yarn/string attack, etc.). The through-line between the two could just be as simple as "string".
I have to say that this is probably one of my favourite Jaru videos by far. It really seems like he thought a lot about this. And also just artistically look great haha. Genuinely think he’s onto something.
You really do let your imagination run wild while backing up each and every point you make-I’ll never fail to finish watching your videos! Keep it up, I’m stoked
Honestly i think it might actually be possible to (rather loosley) link elemental pairs. Sky makes sense for lightning and light as both heaven and lighting are generally in the sky plus the sky mantal. Death and scythe are pretty obviously connected under something you could call grim and i could see dark and star making space. Then theres puppet and cat which are a bit harder to connect but maybe something like cuteness as both cats and puppets are mostly considerd cute. This can also be used to link others together (i personally think chaos and order are gonna form something like balance or entropy)
Idk if this has been already said BUT- rabbits and frogs may have a bit more in common if you think in the context of a fairy tale. Both are associated with inhuman or human transformations (such as the frog prince), both are very common in children's stories and often follow the same aesthetics such as wild nature, magic, and child-like behaviors (jumping around). Also in some traditions both rabbits and frogs are associeted with luck. (Sorry if I misspelled something, I'm not a english speaker sorryy) edit: Also about color, I think it whould make sense if it was something like illusion as its pair, (I don't have much evidence but there is almost nothing about this element really so just hear me out), color is created by the way the light is reflected, and if you change this light you can creat "illusions" like a hot road that looks like it's mealting OR the way a TV changes is color to create illusion of movement. And taking in consideration the theme of chapter 3, I found it a little bit posible. But also it can be the same element, I couldn't be surprise if a TV character had like Electric and color for elements.
Regarding the Mouse/Puzzle connection, there's another mouse-like monster in Undertale called Charles that can be found in the MTT Restaurant, who talks about how the core is assembled from different tiles that are placed together, and how he is largely responsible for reorganizing these tiles. Much like _puzzle pieces._
It's possible that the Sports element would not just encompass typical sports but more broadly, competitions and therefore tie in Undyne's passionate cooking
Puppet and Cat have the use of Strings in common, you can use strings to control a puppet and you can use string to get a cat to go where you want to go. I think that would be why puppet and cat are in the same group. An important question is, are there more the 2 combos for pairing? if Elemental Pair is a name that Toby has stated then there are probably only 2, but if Elemental Pairs is a fan term then Elemental Combo might be better due to the possibility of 3 or more elemental connections.
@@wiliyy that is Toby answering as Spamton not Toby answering as Toby, meaning he doesn't have to tell us anything Spamton wouldn't know, and all of Spamtons elemental information is in brackets meaning there is some influence, could be Toby or his actual answer and the actual elements are being hidden, but Toby's Answer through the mouth of Spamton should be taken with more salt then if Toby answered it as Toby. (and if you think Ralsei is possibly a liar or is deceiving the player, what would stop spamton from doing the same, and if you don't would you really trust a Spam email scam artists who can't even cut his own strings)
I love ur long videos. I listen to these while playing games or even to fall asleep. I love over an hour long videos to just listen to especially when it's about games I love so this is so pleasing to me. Keep up the amazing work not many youtubers do long videos like this because they are worried about the algorithm n it is a lot of work. I'm really thankful for ur videos ^.^
Just got this notification, can't wait to watch this. Elements are interesting and I am super curious about them. Going to add a few unrelated things I've thought about because I want to see what you think. First thing is a bit of a crackpot theory, but it's about one of the Titans. One of the silhouettes looks a bit like asgore, so I had a thought: what if that is Ralsei's father or something? I think they could have a connection because the people they look like do have a connection (aka father and son) Since ralsei is the prince of the dark world, what if the asgore looking Titan is the king? It could explain why Ralsei is different from other darkners, it's because he is a Titan. That one is a bit crazy with not a lot of evidence at all. Next is a thought about the eggs. The first egg we get went to asgore's house, the second was put in the store owned by sans(if I remember correctly). I believe the egg we get in each chapter will go to a main undertale character. Next chapter could be toriel because of where the fountain is. That would leave papyrus, undyne and Alphys. The last egg could perhaps go to asriel when he returns home or maybe someone else. I'm not sure what the purpose of this would be exactly, but it was a thought I had randomly a few days ago (I'm sure I'm not the first to think this).
I appreciate you let the tune run it’s course at the end before cutting the video. I like the way you employ music to your content, sets the mood right every time. If anything I would suggest you maybe raise the volume by a tiny little bit. Thanks for the content as always Jaru, your deliverance came just at the right time as I had just finished watching the deltacast podcast which was a lot of fun as well. I would definitely be interested in more of that type of content in the future!
With other theories its: do I have ten minutes time? Yup let's go With jaru its: do I have four hours time, three doezn popcorn and the will power to listen someone talk about rouxls kaard being the knight? Yup let's go I just love your theories man, keep up the good work ❤️
I haven’t listened to any theories about deltarune ever before and I was blown away by this and the “who is the knight” video you made. This truly was amazing to see.
I got an idea, color is paired with order. Mostly for the idea of ordering things by color, it's a general concept and the main representatives of the color element are butlers, which are very related with order. Besides, Tobby kinda does put a main color on zones, ordering them. On undertale the Ruins had purple, Hotland had red/orange, New Home had grey, and we have the same in deltarune.
@5:48-.-Your description of boneman as being puppet/death type for some reason reminds me of Digimon. there are a few Digimon listed as “puppet type”, and I can’t help but imagine something that is both puppet and death looking like a Digimon.
1:06:00 I feel like temperature actually makes a lot of sense though, since temperature affects the color of things. Or perhaps, heat would be the element, as an opposite to ice? Ice/cold/snow is often associated with white "blank" environments which could be considered "colorless" after all...
Mistake #1: I completely forgot about the Red Element! When Susie used Red Buster in her fights with King/Queen, the Element changed from Rude to Red! Gah! Hopefully that's just the Heart Element or something. ;-;
Mistake #2: The Sky Mantle is just in the code, not in Malius' shop. Whoops!
tfw color and red are separate elements
Isn't colour already an element which would mean that red falls under colour the same way light falls under holy
@pokepro game Where is this stated?
It's probably just another way of saying color element. Or maybe it's paired with the color element? It'd make more sense then books.
@pokepro game no it isn’t, not as far as I can find
"The Spamton Worm is the missing link" is one of the best sentences I've ever heard in a Deltarune video

Yeah, like, wouldn't the logic be less stretched out if the connection was something broader. Like a string.
I’m just imagining spamton as worm now
Another connection between ice and virus: The first enemy Noelle must kill to start the weird route is the Viro.
Virovirokun also teaches noelle how to act!
Also!! In the Spamton sweepstakes we see on her blog that she frequently finds glitches in her games, and in one them she downloads a pipis into her game from an email from spamton, which could also be called a virus the way it spreads through her game
That doesn't prove anything
you're not wrong and I'm absolutely behind your theory. that being said using spamton worm on a string as a cornerstone piece of evidence is hilarious
Suprised he didn't use the link between puppets strings and cats
I haven't seen the video yet but, this comment reminded me of how the metafor of "worm on a string" can be interpreted as "Kris is the bait for us players to someone else's goal (aka Gaster)"

Honestly I think the most strong argument linking Cat and Puppet is just the string connection, and I think that's what Toby is going for since Spamtom has a lot of mentions about the strings, and balls of string and cats have a more strong connection than cat toys.
That’s exactly what I thought.
yeah, this guy has some good points but he legit brought out worm on the strings from a sweepstakes event which KINDA a stretch when that connection is right there
Okay, but why is it called Element 6? It can’t be a coincidence or the elements just being numbered 1-?. Even if it was just that, Deltarune and Undertale have a lot of history with the number 6, a lot, and Tasque manager as well as Spamton know Jevil, creating a weird triangle of relations with them, and connecting the number 6 to it opens up the door to so much more. I think this’ll be elaborated on in later chapters, and I just find this question interesting.
Element 6 is it’s number in the code

TBH Jaru made the connection with Cat and puppet much more complicated then it needed to be. Puppets are often made of yarn and Marionettes are famously controlled by string. Cats play with yarn and string. It’s that simple. No spamton worm venn diagrams necessary.

@skelly1555 Or he is just overthinking and ignoring the obvious simple answer... like me. When i look at the element "Heart" i just think of "Color"
because first looking at these elements the Toby Fox way there is souls which are usually represented with hearts and unique colors and supporting the darkners who use the element "Heart" they come in different colors and unique personalities,
looking at the darkners who use the element "Color" ... Swatch and the Swatchlings they are probably meant to be color wheels (maybe the Swatch is the color wheel and the Swatchlings are just colors??) and when Swatchlings change color their personality or emotions change as well, just like how the souls and the colors of them in Undertale represented a personality (for example kindness=green justice=yellow etc.).
i was just watching the video and when i saw you paired the elements "Heart" and "Love" and i wanted write down my toughts :p
anyways keep up the good work, i love to see it!
Yeah I was thinking the same thing
I thought about exactly the same thing!! Also, emotions are connected to the heart and also to colors!!
Very valid interpretation!
@@JaruJaruJ Also i think it can work with Susie's rude buster turning into red buster!
@@Dan-kq1sc Adding onto this, the Swatchlings actually do give evidence for this. The different kinds of Swatchling colors give different attacks and are coordinated to their *emotions*, on top of this I think the attacks for each color are subtle references to the ways these colors have worked in Undertale (I had to literally look up their attacks since I did NOT remember at all what they were)
Red / Orange - This attack is very basic and has a bird of that color just go toward the enemy, it reminds me a lot of the first ever Froggit attack with the flies.
I think you can really extrapolate something from this, and any research into Toby's use of color relating to character could not only give us insight into the Undertale Souls but also how the colors in general effect the things in their sphere of influence.
tl;dr the swatchling colors -> reference emotions -> which reference the soul / ball game names -> which brings us back to hearts

@@DavidSartor0 Wow, again, I did not know some of these. You must be a God at this lol
Very valid interpretation! That would make a lot of sense!
Also, Swatchlings change attacks when their color is changed, like how our Soul in UT/DR changes attack patterns based in color
Thank you Mr JaruJ, my Dad has the Fight element and by using your theory I was able to protect myself from him by equipping a football helmet that I found lying around (it's very effective at reducing damage against the Sports element). Truly you one of the content creators of all time!
LMAO
LMAOOOO
Uhhhhhhh.. you ok dude?
Make sure to use a baseball bat for a sweet damage bonus, and B-hop away from his beat down combo. if all else fails death bomb using pop its
Also make sure you choose Natsuki in the "literature club" minigame, as she gives a buff agaijst fighting elementals.
Another connection between Spamton and cats is the fact that Spamton is very obviously based on Mettaton. In Deltarune, Mettaton is a shut in and lives with his cousin, who is Mad Mew Mew (a cat character) in Undertale. Probably a stretch but it makes sense to me.
Also they are kinda opposite and similar as they both are free and trapped for example a cat in a house and a puppet going on a "walk" aka being puppetered to move
Also gaster is probably a fan of mewmew kitty cutey because undertale and he may be the one puppetiring spamton
Remember: Spamton doesn't deal puppet damage, the EX suit does. This is a direct connection, Mettaton is the one who designed the suit and arguably is even more associated with the puppet element. Stars are visible in darkness, death follows the scythe, and the lives of those who breathe cats and puppets are intertwined.
more to the point, I just realized both their names end with -ton. That may unironically be a connection
“Today I’m talking about Deltarune”
These words are always a joy to hear at the beginning of your videos 🥲
I think a good connection between undyne and the fighting element might be justice, as not only is justice a term used a lot in anime by the heros or even the villains, but I think it can be seen as a very common reason for why people may fight to begin with.
'Spear of Justice' is also another reference
That would be a great element for Oberon Smog
Or it could be another joke name like “Anime”
Come to think of it, Wouldn't Justice fall under the Order element?
@@ragefury6520 not really, sometimes order is unjust
elemental pairings remind me a lot of the concept of aspect pairings from homestuck. blood/breath, light/void, hope/rage, mind/heart, life/doom, time/space. abstract philosophical concepts many of which u wouldnt immediately link to their pair but grow closer and closer the more u examine their themes. given toby's history its almost certainly at least a bit of an influence
Good thought!
Those are fascinating…
thats what I thought too! and i even started trying to think if the elements themselves may have any philosophical concepts connected to them, another comment even stated out that Puppet/cat might be connect to the concept of CONTROL as it would fit with tasq manager being a task manager and the whole aspect of something controlling over spamtom
If my PFP didn't make it clear, I was 100% thinking that too
This
Cats like playing with string while puppets are controlled with them.
it could be that puppet/cat represents control, cat elementals control others while puppet ones are the ones controlled.
this would fit well tasque manager's control freak nature and with spamton being "helped" (manipulated) to achieve his sucess.
(edit:Phrasing)
Dang, that makes a lot of sense

You're welcome
Also if I am not mistaken was it not mentioned in Half Bread Chaos' Video that the only attacks that actually register as element 6 are strings.
Great catch! So much thematic potential with the Element System.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
I have no idea what to do with that information.... But think you anyway. :)
I'm calling it now, Moon Guy is Holy/Moon and Cloud Girl is Holy/Dark
Edit: As seen in the new summer newsletter Elnina is actually Water/Ice
Ice is connected to the Virus element a bit more closely; much of the Sweepstakes' lore details Noelle's connection with searching for glitches in video games, which one can associate with computer viruses. Spamton & Virovirokun are also connected to eachother, not only in theme but also with the year 1997, and Spamton is clearly connected to Noelle.
Another detail connecting the Maice to puzzles is that, when using either of the "Trap___" options, a red cage appears that you lower onto them. That's a direct reference to the boardgame Mousetrap, which involves piecing together a Rube Goldberg machine to capture mice as they pass through a "maze."
Also, to connect Undyne to sports even more is the time she literally dunked Alphys through a basketball hoop into a trashcan, lol.
In terms of my predictions for pairings, they're as follows:
For review the ones we know are:
Dark/Star
Puppet/Cat
Elec/Holy
Death/Scythe
The ones I'll pair are these (no new elements for this one):
Fight/Order: Werewerewire keeps order by fighting, you literally have to put Bloxer in ORDER, also Tasque manager has a whip which is a weapon used for fighting and Ponman is a pawn in chess, a war game about fighting.
2 do I have to say more
Jewel/Color: This one involves prisms, they can refract rainbows and also jewels can themselves be many different colors.

NO NO IT’S THE STRIJGS GAHHHH
One other piece of evidence for the Ice-Virus link, the mascot ICE-E is commonly depicted as having the rabies virus.
I am also curious as to what element Kris has if any. Kris is stated multiple times to be non-magical (like the description for ACTing), so I could see Kris being an “elementless” character. Kris’ element might also have some tie as to why Kris specifically has to seal the dark fountains, but it’s all speculation at this point.
Well, either that, or the heart element. Slthough one could argue that's the player's element.
I think Kris' element if Courage, my headcanon is that courage is like determination but with a focused goal.
It could be called the seal element
It surprises me that the first theory video you've made after the insane lore drop is about the elemental pairs, but honestly I couldn't be happier! As much as I adore them, It is a nice break from all the depressing theories you share LOL. Its always nice to see some worm Spamton lore, a long with you explaining how Chuck E Cheese connects to Deltarune. It's all very entertaining!
This also kinda almost solidifies my personal favourite concept of Mike being a cat (based off of the Mi-Ke cats, the Japanese name for a calico cat which is ALSO the 'lucky cat'), which further helps to connect Spamton with cats
i love these videos so much oh my lord
Something I want to add! Might be touched on later in the video, though, but I want to say it. Based off of Jevil, either you can use attacks that aren't of your personal element, since his element is Chaos:Chaos, or, like his dialogue sometimes seems to imply, the Devilsknife is its own, assumedly Chaos:Scythe element, entity. Yes, I know the Chaos:Chaos element is probably just a joke on one of Jevil's catchphrases, but it could be important.
That's actually a topic I plan to discuss in a future video, as I think that's a hint at Jevil's past. x)
It definitely is just a joke, in Japanese the element is [kaosu da yo:kaosu da ne] (his japanese line).
Plus he also pretty prominently uses hearts.

You didn’t once think that the FIGHT element would be paired with a new ANIME element? It’s one of the biggest parts of Undyne’s being, the DBZ reference in the dojo, and how closely the two are related. You set it up so well too.
I was working within a very particular framework of thought processes, admittedly. xD
that's totally the kind of joke element Toby Fox would include.
Can't wait to see "anime" element based characters in this game.
thank u jaru for taking the time to do the sub titles, very helpful when you're on a road trip with a loud family

The connection between puppets and cats is even simpler than the toy connection, both elements would be associated with strings/yarn.

15 actually
@HatCatWCheld up by green CAT6 strings as spamton neo
I was fully prepared to hear you pair Jewel with a Dog element because of the artifact in waterfall
That woulda been funny. xD
I honestly wouldn’t put this past Toby.
I think if Dust has a pair, it might be Blood. Blood is a pretty common rpg element, and they fit very well together.
Makes a lot of sense!
I'm actually really confident with this, apologies for the length of the theory/explanation though, I might go back and shorten it a little later
Here are some of my predictions for the elemental pairs, sorted by decreasing confidence:
Ice/Virus
Fight/Blade = Death/Scythe
Mouse/Rude
Heart/Color
Order/Jewel
Puzzle/Chaos
~Fire/Dust
~Rabbit/???
Ice/Virus:
In addition to the stuff mentioned in the video, another piece of evidence for Ice/Virus is that Noelle is associated with glitch hunting in video games, which is close to the idea of computer viruses.
Fight/Blade = Death/Scythe:
Similar to how Thunder/Light and Elec/Holy are two names for the same element, I think that Fight/Blade and Death/Scythe might also be different names for the same element. Otherwise, it seems a bit redundant to have a generic Blade element and another element which is a specific type of blade.
As for the pairing, Fight and Blade are both shown as coexisting in the FIGHT button of the UI.
Mouse/Rude:
Noelle's reactions to mice (initial fear followed by finding them cute) sort of mirrors her reactions to Susie? Also, when fighting Maus, when a trap is set for the Maus, Susie is caught by that trap instead, sort of indicating that she is weak to the same things that the Maus are weak to.
Also, considering that Susie has repeatedly shown herself to be resistant to the influence of the player (blocking their hyperlink, perhaps), it may be that similar to how Mouse and Cat are commonly thought of as being opposed to each other, Puppet and Rude could also be opposed to each other.
Heart/Color:
Hearts (in the form of human SOULs) have been shown to be different high-saturation colors. In particular, most of the colors the Swatchlings take on are also colors taken on by the human SOULs, with the exception of purple.
Order/Jewel:
A Jewel is very orderly, I guess? Also, both the Pawnmen and the Rudins use diamond shaped attacks.
I initially thought that Jewel might be paired with Ice, considering what Berdly's ice cage looks like, but I like the Ice/Virus idea more.
Puzzle/Chaos:
Puzzle/Chaos is just a shot in the dark. I guess they are both things which initially appear unintelligible which are then "solved"? As Toby mentioned in one of the live streams, all Chaos has hidden within it Order, i.e. a solution (which may also suggest that Order/Chaos is a pair).
Fire/Dust and Rabbit/???:
Based on the number of elements present in the code of Deltarune, I think that there will only be 11 elements (10 if you don't include element 0, which is what attacks default to).
Very interesting points!
I just realized, for the Fire/Dust element, Dust can be interpreted as Ash. I would normally say that's a bit of a stretch, but considering that Puppet/Cat is an element, I'd say it's close enough.
i just realized... heart and diamond are both the red suits in a deck of cards so it could be
order / chaos
heart / jewel (or diamonds)
plus in the cafe, it mentions how rudinn's best friend is hathy if you seat them together
"This is where Cat and Puppet intersect" is exactly why I tune into these videos, that's the kinda r/brandnewsentence I'm looking for!!
xD
ok, while listening to your theories, I tried my hand at finding pairs, let me know what you think :
- Heart / Dust: the link is essence.
I think it's certainly better than predicting new elements to fit different interpretations
Jaru “I’m gonna pair mouse and puzzle”
Me “oh yeah like how mice do mazes that makes sense”
Jaru “BECAUSE OF CHUCK E. CHEESE”
Indeed!
if Toby using Noelle’s blog (and the spamton sweepstakes content in general) gives more evidence for cat/puppet, and I think you’re absolutely right in that it does, then i think it could also be used to further the evidence for virus/ice. which would establish a precedent of using these extra-textual resources and ESPECIALLY using noelle’s blog as clues to the underlying element system
Awesome video as always Jaru! Enjoy some complimentary deranged ramblings~
For Cat/Puppet in SOI theory, I think Strings are another good connection besides toys.
Great comment! You make some very good points!
"The Spamton Worm is the missing link..."
I love being alive.
Color seems like they have one really strong possibility: emotion/passion
The souls themselves of Undertale are an example that come to mind for the symbolism of that connection
Could be!
Could be!
Babe wake up new Jaru video dropped
Thank you! And that's an interesting idea! Maybe Heart is paired with Color in the case. Could work! And I'm glad you like the fanart video idea! :D
Interesting input! That's a valid point! I'm glad you're enjoying, and thank you for watching! :D
The sphere of influence idea is a really good method to make sense of these pairs
One thing regarding your cat/puppet relation theory, something puppets are usually thought of to be related to are Strings, eg: Marionettes, some Ventriloquist dummy's mouths being moved by strings, ect
But many cat toys involve strings, including both rope and string itself, so I think that would help make much more sense than the relation with toys.
I think that the overlap between puppet/cat might be strings. Cats like strings, some puppets use strings, bingo a pair
I'm surprised that Heart/Blade wasn't brought up as a possibility. Chara and Kris both seem to embody the two. They could be related.
Ex. one of the battle lines for Hathy is "You told Hathy its teeth look like knives. It began to think about this... [Flatter]"
firstly, thanks A LOT for this video, jaru. all of your theories are both very interesting ((VERY, VERY INTERESTING.)) and deeply thought-provoking.
secondly, some additions/suggestions/observations from me:
about cat/puppet pair: both cats and puppets are something that is enjoyed by people. we as society generally find cats and toys very cute and want to surround ourselves with cuteness, softness, comfort etc. but cats can also be dangerous when provoked/scared/hungry (lol) and puppets are frequently used in horror movies, games and other content. it's.... a concept of unnerving cuteness that can turn on you at any moment??
about heart/love: in undertale your LOVE increase led to you being more resillient to damage from enemies. in pacifist route during judgement sans tells that you 'kept a certain tenderness in your heart'. if heart/soul are the same in ut/dr, violence makes your heart harden (both literally and figuratively speaking). if you check head hathy, the description says 'it learned to hide its feelings... is that strength?' and 'head hathy showed no emotion at all'. this emotional numbness works like a damage resistanse in these games (and is acquired through the use of violence in genocide). on the other hand, hathy smiles a darling smile during battle ('you strived to do the right thing. you refused to hurt anyone. even when you ran away, you did it with a smile. you never gained LOVE, but you gained love.'), sends kisses, is connected with bakery (like toriel who is the embodiment of motherly love and care), cares for her friends and so on. actually, she and rudinn are good friends, rudinn represents ((real)) knives and hathy hearts ((locket))... sounds familiar... also, hearts and diamonds are the only two red card suits and you can tell hathy that her teeth look like knives.
about moon/order: we literally have a month as a unit of time and the very concept of it arose with moon cycles/orbital periods. monthly cycles are the way to arrange and structure our lives, bringing us order.
about fight/sports: i think sports element is too specific, in my opinion it should be worded more like fight/competition (you said it yourself (47:01): undyne loves to compete and she actually does this not only in sports but in cooking, establishing friendship with frisk, fighting asgore etc. she also competes with you for a title of a true hero in genocide route (possibly a stretch but that's what i think). btw she's also a knight of a royal guard and what do knights do to prove their worth? tournaments as a form of competition.
about rabbits/frogs: during battle, froggit makes 'ribbit, ribbit' sounds. change one letter and you get 'rabbit'. it seems to me that rabbits/frogs are generic 'low-level' enemies in ut/dr. rabbick says 'hop, hop' and froggit 'hops to and fro'.
about ice/virus: again, as in 'sports/fight' pair, i think that the word virus is too exact and it should be 'ice/fear'. again, you said it yourself: noelle is easily scared and tends to freeze as a deer in the headlights. she fears that her father might succumb to his illness and die. i'm not sure that it was specified that rudy's illness is viral. it doesn't make sense for him to be visited by people in this case. but illness is definitely a source of fear (as well as a chance for noelle to lose her family member...again). on the other hand, noelle is actually fascinated by fear (i think it's a sort of coping mechanism... girl definitely has her traumas) and seeks this feeling (spamton door, the whole icepalace_glacier thing, her interest in catpetterz that scared her with 'incompatible pet' glitch even before she discovered strange eggs which scared her even more but in the end she kept them). in the weird route, noelle should be entranced by the thorn ring to continue. when surrounded by pain and fear from our actions, she pays less and less notice to how she hurts everyone and herself. seems like the 'LOVE' game mechanic to me but even more twisted ((sword)).
about jewel/dragon: there's a room with rudinns after you escape the prison in chapter 1 and one of them is thankful for 'taming the beast that tormented us'. when susie askes about the beast it says 'you even taught the beast to talk'. dragons are beasts, susie is very likely a dragon. sounds like you freed treasures from the dragon's grasp... and the dragon escaped from the dungeon lol
about color/book... this 'paint by numbers' line made me think about math. math is numbers right? and what is also as artistic as color and connected to math? it is music. rhythms, beats, tempos, chords, etc...all math. we have a trio of music rebels who directly oppose queen (sweet cap'n cakes) and swatchlings obey her. some people with synesthesia can see music and hear sounds.
i think i'm done. this comment is so huge. I'M DEEPLY SORRY. english is not my first language so i couldn't fully convey my thoughts in writing. sorry if you can't understand something i wrote, i tried hard lol
17:02 "the spamton worm is the missing link" i love this channel
honestly, Colour + Letter / Colour + Book makes sense since that covers painting and writing, two of the more common simple "artforms"
I think a stronger link between the puppet and cat element is not toys, but string. Cats LOVE string. In fact mentions of string is present strongly in Deltarune so it makes sense.
before you announced the frog element, I took a break to wach frog tiktoks, I was stuned
Oh, I was waiting for this after the Deltacast. Thx for that, this is good
Some more evidence for the Mouse + Puzzle connection could be that in Undertale puzzles are used as traps like how mainly Papyrus uses them but also the Ruins as well and of course mice are often trapped in mouse traps so that could work with the S.O.I theory as well.
instead of the book element I think the art element makes way more sense, swatch who would assumably have the colour element as well describes mettaton as making the NEO body through splahing colours which implies it was painted, a form of art.
I really hope the graveyard dark fountain theory is correct, thatd be really cool
These videos are the actual best I appreciate your work so much dude
I'm a couple minutes into this and it's already hella worth the wait
Aww, thanks!
i'd say that fight and blade would be paired because blades are usually used for fighting and also the fight button
I have to say that this is probably one of my favourite Jaru videos by far. It really seems like he thought a lot about this. And also just artistically look great haha. Genuinely think he’s onto something.
JARU VIDEO JARU VIDEO LETS GOO
Always a joy to see a new Jaru in my sub feed.
Imagine Jaru got miraculously EVERYTHING right in this video a Toby watches in pure awe
(Sorry if I misspelled something, I'm not a english speaker sorryy)
edit: Also about color, I think it whould make sense if it was something like illusion as its pair, (I don't have much evidence but there is almost nothing about this element really so just hear me out), color is created by the way the light is reflected, and if you change this light you can creat "illusions" like a hot road that looks like it's mealting OR the way a TV changes is color to create illusion of movement. And taking in consideration the theme of chapter 3, I found it a little bit posible. But also it can be the same element, I couldn't be surprise if a TV character had like Electric and color for elements.
Now that you've posted this video. You and Half Bread Chaos are going to have to fight for dominance over the Deltarune Elements topic.
Or collaborate! :D
@@JaruJaruJ Or that, honestly i'd be cool with either I just also want to see you and them engage in single combat. Also thanks for the video.
It's possible that the Sports element would not just encompass typical sports but more broadly, competitions and therefore tie in Undyne's passionate cooking
toby fox is either falling back laughing in his chair, or genuinely surprised anyone actually payed attention to the whole elements thing-
Puppet and Cat have the use of Strings in common, you can use strings to control a puppet and you can use string to get a cat to go where you want to go.
Task Manager uses a whip (a string) to control the tasks.
2:46
@@1gengabe I trust Spamton with every cell in my body.
Just saying, it would be wiser to call it a combi, as that is short for combination, while a combo means more like a set of attacks.
I think they could have a connection because the people they look like do have a connection (aka father and son)
Since ralsei is the prince of the dark world, what if the asgore looking Titan is the king?
Spamton is my favorite catgirl
Yknow like [nyah] KRIS
It's been a long time since I've watched Deltarune content at all, but holy shit, this stuff is even better than I remember. You're doing good Jaru
With other theories its: do I have ten minutes time? Yup let's go
With jaru its: do I have four hours time, three doezn popcorn and the will power to listen someone talk about rouxls kaard being the knight? Yup let's go
I just love your theories man, keep up the good work ❤️
Thank you very much! xD
I haven’t listened to any theories about deltarune ever before and I was blown away by this and the “who is the knight” video you made. This truly was amazing to see.
Just imagine if Toby decided to make some elements have no pair or 2 pairs
Would be a purposeful spit on theorists, that's it. I doubt Toby would do something that petty. Funny to think about though.
@@alzhanvoid It's not petty if he had it in mind from the start.
They wouldn't be called elemental pairs then...
So happy to see your growth as of the last few months. I always get super excited when I see your vids in my notifications, thank you so much
Thank YOU! It's all because of awesome folks like you showing me such great kindness and support. x)
Really love that you let the music box play for a bit at the end of the video, makes for a super nice ending.
haha you metioned how you are holding back making any new spamton videos but I already know because I heard all of your deltarune podcast!
Also I’d argue that puppets are HEAVILY associated with string, and that is what cats are characterized as playing with.
