- Water testing fx1 with 760cc Yamaha two stroke engine. And Kawasaki jet ski jet pump conversion. This video is about Jetskibrothers 1994 Yamaha fx1
Shout out to SBT for helping us with this build - www.shopsbt.com/

I finally have some time to catch up on videos. Great work on the editing, you've obviously been focusing on that a lot.
The 760 appears to have real issues with hooking up. It would be really cool to see Jacob do some JSB handling mods to this ski (ride plate, sponsons, maybe impeller etc) and do another test / lap time to see how much he can change the feel / handling.
Gotta be honest though... I'm most excited to watch your jet john and V8 videos... Gonna watch everything in order though. Great job to Jacob on the build, riding and narration. Nice to see Jason involved and rocking a B1
Cheers buddy and welcome back 🍻👍 this build has more potential for sure but I don’t expect Jacob will do too much figuring out of the last 15%
I put a 144 pump tunnel and 144 pump in mine and I had a ported 62t 760 with msd, b pipe,Ada head amd hooker 11/17 it was a arm ripper! I also used pro x pistons no sbt crap! My mechanic buddy who races said I will not allow you to run. Sbt haha. Free is free though I guess 😂
The wave race 64 camera angle looks rad boys
Sweet -- I grew up skiing an FX1 I got brand new
Another awesome video! That thing was hauling butt! Jacob’s legs were probably burning so bad on that second drag race! He got the brunt of the choppy water! 😂 I know it’s been a while but seeing the rubber exhaust hose on the 550 reminded me of how curious I am to hear what the exhaust would sound like on the triple piped mini jet boat if you guys hose clamped like 20 feet of reinforced rubber water hose onto the end of the exhaust tip of the mini jet boat and just let it drag behind the stern flopping around in the wake! Hahahaha I bet it would make for a really unique and entertaining exhaust sound! 😂 keep up the good work fellas! Production quality on the vids is amazing! Loving the new camera!
hmmm I have a spool of 30ft fire hose.
Best ski ever made!!!😄😄😄
I don’t know what you did to the ski but I bought my FX/1 in 94 and out of the box it did close to 50 And I put a pipe head lighter flywheel change the prop added a ride plate and you could barely hang onto the thing.
There are a lot of different ways you could set the ski up I now have one set up for more bottom end I wonder what prop you were using because with that motor and the pump you should be able to do more than 45
Nice ski and great area to ride looking good enjoy the ride
Nice job!! Been looking forward to this video! I'm thinking of doing a 760 Yamaha in my 97 X2!
NICE! I'm thinking about a 750 for my x2 because it's the easiest and most pipes fit. That seems to be the most annoying thing about yamaha is the pipes don't fit in the hull or are way more money.
What are your top 3 favorite stand ups?
1 2 stroke superjets
2 2 stroke sxr
3 550
I would say seadoo 3d but that is 3 skis in one not 3 separate skis so it's really a class above all others.
Nice, go JSB!
I've got a '95 Kawi 750sxi. Should I get a SuperJet or a WaveBlaster 1? Basically only for riding flat lake water. Never rode a WB and only rode a SJ for like 5 minutes about 22 years ago, so I don't remember how it felt.
Everyone is going to have something to say here. I personally liked my 750sxi after I made a 5" extended ride plate for it. The best ski ever made was 2008-2020 superjet, but those are really expensive. Your way of riding and personal taste decide if something like that is worth it.
@@Jacobskibros thanks bro. Yeah I gotta get a superjet. Wave blaster looks fun but I could see myself getting tired of it. It may be the best sit down ever but there’s way more to chew on with a stand up ski, carving turns (which my 750 does not do well).
Superjet gets my vote!
Please don't make these more expensive and harder to find.
It's the Cleetus effect.
It's 1 of 1500 fx1s ever made so that will make it 0.0666% more difficult to get one.
There’s no way that thing only does 45. Stock they did 48.
The original 1994 Fx1's could easily do 50 mph.......stock.
The reason, Aluminum impeller and stock intake grate literally make the FX1 fly on top of the water and chine walk with lighter riders......my experience.
Swap these out and the numbers change. With that, the FX1 still blows away my 1993 Wave blaster in speed and acceleration.
@@9avedon I think it will do 50 as well. The impeller that is in there is hammered and not very tall. Also it has a 6m6 cdi so the rev limiter is a bit low. Definitely needs some front sponsons. There is a bit of refinement to be had. I didn't really have the best pump stuff to work with. I'm using a modified 550 intake grate and ride plate as well because I couldn't find anything else.
@@Jacobskibros Took off my FX1, handle pole chin pad, today.Damages to fasters from dock impact .It took 2 people. Both bolts were ceased ,one bolt needed the head cut off.The square brass nut inserts were hand made , needing slightly different size wrenches. The small # of FX1's built have some variation , that's for sure.
I've heard that's the greatest ski ever made!
ive heard the complete opposite lol
I heard on a forum that if you are not in possession of at least one of the 1500 fx1s made you will never live a fulfilled life.
@@Jacobskibros square nose with a 62t and b pipe is gods chariot, though it may not look as cool as the fx1.
@@Detailonthemove The fx1 isn't really that good looking of a ski the way they come. I'd for sure pick a square over an fx1. I think my square nose looks better than my fx1, but I've done some work to get it there. The square nose is the top ski for the every man!
Well I read it was the best on the Internet. It's definitely my favorite ski, and some day I will own one. Then I think I'll get to try it.
