- These Fashion Fails are ghastly, some from big name designers too! It's time to take a closer look at Meghan Markle's film-premiere outfit for the One Love movie in Jamaica, and the 4 etiquette fails I caught in the footage of the event. Plus, the Meg's "commercial" outfit, as well as some of the biggest red carpet Fashion Tragedies from celebrities. Including Vag Dress 2.0 courtesy Gillian Anderson at the Golden Globes this year, Billie Eilish, and Cara Jade Myers. Fails from the Palm Springs Film Festival: Carey Mulligan, Emma Stone and Eva Longoria. Also, featuring the WORST looks from Prada, Gucci, Erdem and Saint Laurent; BIG name designers like these you don't expect to have such disastrous outcomes, but here we are!

Last year, my grand-daughter (then 14), went shopping for a prom dress.Because she'd watched Beebs with me, my GD shopped with what Beebs would say, in her head. Needless to say, my GD picked a beautiful, appropriate, stylish dress. I let Beebs know, at the time, and thanked her profusely!

I hate that the women are so vulgar when it comes to red carpet dresses.
I'm tired of seeing all the cutouts and see-thru dresses, or what could be their underwear. I thought the red carpets meant more than scantily clad bodies. What happened to elegance and tastefulness?
And it’s not as if she’s some unknown who might think an over the top dress would give her the advantage of attention. (I’m speaking of the hooha dress, not the Meg. Lol)

There’s nothing wrong with ageing. Looking the age you are or even a bit older is fine. Looking a lot older though suggests the person has suffered a lot or is very unwell.
Gillian Anderson’s dress, despite being inappropriate, was really tatty at the hem. It looked as if it had been raw cut and left to fray! Just wrong!

Billie E isn't comfortable in her own skin and hasn't found a stylist that can help her look nice and still shares her esthetic.

Two or three years ago, William and Catherine were in Jamaica and the governor (?) that Meghan and Harry were pictured with here gave an awful speech about how horrible and racist the monarchy is. This was not long after the Oprah interview/Ripple of Hope award, so presumably Meghan sees them as an ally. There was an executive of some streaming service there they were cozying up to as well.

So MM's 'dress' was actually a spaghetti strap tank top and inappropriate skirt? I think even I would have known to wear a simple dress in the tropics....I mean, she can still spend thousands on a sheath and i think cost is her main criteria.
The purse paired with the first dress looks like a Salvation Army kettle.
The plop into the seat and the balloon inflating made my day. I thought one would just naturally gather a large skirt in when sitting down. But then again, she's the princess.
I love the come down Meghan and Harry got at that Movie premiere!! She probably thought showing up in that monstrosity and her name would get them in the VIP section. The look on their faces having to sit in with tge rest of the plebs is priceless!!!
Meghan's dress was the one she got to dance with Travolta the night before. Travolta said no to that so she didn't go with Harry.

Someone said Gillian plays a sex therapist in a show, so I see!! It's a promo for her part in the show.... a bit of an attention grab for the show really...don't know why everyone thought she was "brave" wearing it!! It's not like she was supporting women with vaginal cancer or get your pap-smear done!!😂😂

You comments (here and in other videos) on Megan's outfits invariably point out that she should **not accentuate** her big shoulders but rather aim to diminish them for "better balance". Apparently, Meg would beg to differ and **likes** to draw attention to her shoulders -- indeed, as I read her satorial choices, she thinks her shoulders are her best body feature! Just about every outfit I've seen her wear to any "event" is bare-shouldered (halter, straps, strap-less) or boat-collared or variations thereof.
The Jamaica outfit was a terrible choice. Worst part, the top with looks like she put on an old ballerina practice leotard. The skirt lovely but way way way over-dressed / inappropriate for a "not-black-tie" Kingston movie theater showing -- even if a world premier -- a rock docu drama movie of Bob Marley of all people(!) which I suspect was purposefully designed **not to be Hollywood glitz & glam**. At least Megan didn't break out the jewels and tiara.

I really don't get why stars wear such ridiculous clothes to events that are supposed to represent prestige.
All the focus goes away from the reason they are there...for their excellence of their craft. Its admired that some have a statement to make...but they shouldn't use prestigious events to do so in my opinion.
For example...Lady Gaga...years ago..the meat dress...the egg thing...made people disinterested in her music. Years wasted before her natural beauty inside and out showed in abundance with the successful movie. Stunning woman.

I think Billie Eilish has said that she wears bulky clothes because she feels like people body shame too much, and beyond that, she gets harassed online ( a lot!) because of her bust so it seems she does everything possible to draw attention away from her figure. They are still weird clothes, though!

Wow. thank you for the etiquette tip on how to sit down gracefully with a ballgown/skirt! I have never thought about that before. Billy Eilish has said before that she wears huge baggy clothes so that people cannot comment on her body. Which I think is valid, but she could still look more polished, as you pointed out.

Great analysis. You nail the issues without being mean, which is a hard feat. It's amazing how knowing a little etiquette helps a person appear more polished. I recall my mum showing me the correct way of putting on a coat or jacket. Now, when i see someone putting on a coat like a swishing cape, I cringe.
NGL, I kinda love the semi-formal pajamas. As a frequent pajama wearer (never outside the house), I’d totally wear something like that if forced to attend an event. “Ok fine, I’m here. You forced me into actual clothes. Ha! Jokes on you! I found formal Jammie’s!”

Shailene Woodley wore the green version of the Carolina Herrera dress to the Governors Awards this year. It looked loads better than the black version that the Meg wore in Jamacia.
For M's look, I think a white or gold blouse with a round neck and capped sleeves would have been better than the spaghetti top. She looked like she didn't finish getting dressed in time for the event.
Edit: I also agree that the skirt was too formal for a local movie premier. She wasn't even part of the production or anything.

I used to do amateur theater. There are ways to manage large skirts and hoop skirts so that you can sit with grace and elegance. Ms Markle did not use any of these. (If you don't sit properly in a hoop skirt, you give the world an unintended show :)
She probably does it on purpose. Like when she refuses to wear pantyhose when she was with the RF. Like why fight those things? Gillian is in the WOKEST Netflix show I have EVER SEEN (it’s unwatchable), called “Sex Education”, where they talk about and have sex constantly. She is a sex therapist in the show and so is her son. Therefore it doesn’t surprise me that she has a dress with Vulvas on it. It’s gross and unnecessary, but I am not surprised. She is winning some Woke brownie points for being on that show and now doing this. I think this is PR moves on Gillian’s part.

I believe what the problem with MM is she buys outfits that she LIKES BUT doesn't take into account her body shape and what would look good on her. She sees it and thinks it's pretty on the model so if course it will look just like that on her. What shows off her inappropriate fashion choice for this event is Harry being so dressed down/casual, it emphasizes she's overdressed for the occasion. AND I don't believe the designer designed that to to go with that skirt. The men's white shirt showed in the picture is what the designer meant.

Cara’s sea anemone dress is awful. I rarely like anything by Carolina Herrera. Billie Eilish wins for worst dressed. Looks like she was trying to see just how ridiculous she could look. I think we should save the pencil sketch dress - just take off the gloves and Julianne’s. Just rip those feather sleeves off and add some black opera gloves. Simple but classic.
The pencil sketch dress looks like it’s an over sized crumpled up dollar bill draped over a white swimsuit. There’s so much going on there that the gauzy gloves get lost in the shuffle. Not a fan.

Great video! The jammies on the Red Carpet gave me the biggest laugh 😂 She clearly had been hoping for a cosy snuggly night in on the couch, fave take-out feast to set the scene.

I think that Billie Eilish is basically just trying to look as bad as she can and is succeeding. My husband said it looks like she was standing under a laundry chute and the things just fell on her like that. Oh Well. Such is the world we live in. At least it gives us something to talk about.

I believe that tuck thing that she does was popular a few years back but not so much today. It's dated in my opinion. But, we all know that THE MEGALIAR doesn't care what people think of her fashion!! I've read the praises she gets from her Sugars and Sussex Squads who while praising her reminds the rest of us as being extremely jealous of her iconic fashion sense🤣🤣🤮🤮

@marilynjarvis: In my opinion, I feel it’s done to show that the person isn’t overweight and actually has a waist. If a long top is worn loose all around, it can look like the wearer is, perhaps, heavier than they’d like and is concealing the weight gain.
Tucking a top part-way in shows the waistline a little. Another thing is - if a top completely hangs out all around the body, it visually cuts the body in half which results in the legs looking shorter than desired. An outfit should never dissect the body in equal halves … 50% top; 50% bottom.
Men can usually get away with tops hanging out because they, generally, are taller and, therefore, not divided in half like a woman can be.

Maybe it’s her fans that have the problem! I lived through the 60s-80s with wild costuming of musicians but they at least always had a bit of style!

Meg's reception dress was sooo much better...I dunno, her wedding dress reminds me of the Shein version of Eugene's dress- which was, while also simple, seemed to have a heavier embroidered satin, and the more you looked at it, the more little things you noticed, it was gorgeous. And that black skirt was GORGEOUS- if only she had worn it with the white shirt!! Like that great look that Sharon Stone pulled off, with the Gap shirt...who is DRESSING this woman?!! Cos she's got the most wonderful wardrobe but there are just so many ridiculously simple mistakes made- sigh, I just love that black skirt- it even has pockets!!🤦♀️🤦♀️😂
The elbow out is also an indication to keep out of her space!! It is very rude and noticeable!!! As her public persona normally seems to be.
