- What happens when you do too much? This week's Fashion Edition has arrived complete with some of Meghan Markle's worst looks. We have another confetti puke situation on hand, an outfit with zero editing, out of place casual vibes and one of the ugliest handbags I've ever seen. But, we also have a couple of good outfits too, Including a textbook perfect outfit for an inverted triangle/rectangle body type, if it weren't for the handbag the whole look would have been perfection! I'm addressing all the Nude Shoes comments too!
Also, the problem with side parts and why all these style looks actually matter for people like the Meg. Today's video has some real fails, from floppy belts to weird uncomfy looking coat moments, but it's a good time, grab your coffee & let's chat!

It’s hilarious and very entertaining because she’s such a repugnant person…🍿🍿. If she was actually a nice person, we’d feel sorry for her.
I think that is the biggest takeaway from the MM videos.
Matches her personality. If she were a nicer, kinder, more empathetic, less controlling person, people would overlook those atrocious fashion fails. Otherwise we all admit to rubbing our hands together gleefully and cackling. But even before her true colours came out, I noticed her outfits were bunchy and messy and not season appropriate. I guess it isn't just me.
Meghan claims she doesn’t need a stylist but I can think of no one who needs a stylist more. ( that jacket looks dirty and wrinkled)

exactly! that’s why PC always looks good. she has a stylist and a hair stylist that travel with her too, same as QE2. but mm told them she knows how to dress! and how to style her that she lets her hair fall in her eyes n almost every picture. but she didn’t do it before meeting harry and she doesn’t do it now.

If someone gets bent out of shape about Markle’s lousy fashion sense, they can find something else to watch. Your rational explanation of her body type explains why Catherine always looks better in ANY clothes. She was born with a perfect figure. Those of us with a less than perfect body have to be mindful of what works and what doesn’t. She is still deluding herself that she has the same look as Catherine.
True. Catherine has a tall sleek body type. And she chooses clothes that FIT HER and she listens to her stylists. Meghan wouldn't and still won't, she always looks strange in what she wears. Her clothes are either too baggy or too tight. It's one or the other, no in between.
It's strange. Most women would give their back teeth to get a personal stylist. What is wrong with this girl? I begin to believe she has a mental disorder. There IS NO reasoning with her on anything, which has proven out in all she does.
Actually, what is impressive about Catherine's style is that she doesn't have the perfect figure, but her fashion choices ensure that it looks like she does. Proportionately, she is very long in the torso. She has very narrow hips as well and doesn't have a lot of curves. She dresses so well for her figure that she always smashes it out of the park!
I don't think Catherine has the perfect figure. Sure, she has a nice figure and can get away with a lot since she is tall and slim but what makes the difference is that Catherine dress for her body type and she is humble to accept the guidance of other people (her stylists I think).

I liked the green dress with the 3/4 sleeves. She actually looks elegant. I think you're correct that it enhances her face and her hair, and she looks very pretty. However, that trench dress should've never been worn even once. If ever there was a dress that wears her instead the other way around, it's that one. The most painful part of that outfit is that she wore it again to introduce her newborn son to the Queen and Prince Philip, so the rest of us have to look at that outfit again and again. I get it; she wore a trench coat for their engagement announcement and maybe she was trying to be symbolic with her outfit choice. However, it only symbolizes to me that she likes Columbo.

Beebs another great video. An observation is that she used to be super clingy to him whilst living here in the UK, but now she is always ahead of him and he walks behind like one of her body guards.

@@Wee162 the claw! Ahh!! 😂 The photos from the wedding she crashed when he had allegedly broke up with her. She had black hollow eye sockets, and major witch claw! Also, keyword photographed. Always certain manipulations for an audience.
The tights/stockings thing was one of the protocols that the queen had in place, that M kept breaking. Other royal women wear them for all official occasions M would not, I also believe this also created friction at the wedding, Princess Catherine wanted Charlotte to wear tights M said no, but in some of the photos Princess Charlotte looked like she was uncomfortable in the shoes without something like tights or socks.
yes Also little girls tend not to think about modesty as did Charlotte when the picture showed her raising up her leg, good thing her dress was a little longer so it avoided any surprises. in my opinion without the tights the little girls looked less formal, for what was supposed to be a daytime formal event but then again look at the brides dress, cute concept bad execution, she looked absolutely horrible, messy hair do, ill fitting gown Etc.
Margaret children's skin is easily damaged by new shoes and tights or socks can reduce friction. Charlotte was uncomfortable thanks to Aunty Rachel.
I think a good video would be comparing her to other women with her shape and how they make it look nice. 😊

The issue around the magazine was when she 'guest edited' (after talking her way into it) a 'Most influential women' - or something like that cover for Vogue UK. She was advised it wouldn't be a good idea to get involved by the Palace - the very polite, English way of saying 'No' but went ahead with it anyway. When asked if she was involved she lied. When she finally admitted she was involved the edition had gone to print. It's a favourite Markle trick - using a fait accompli (or done deal) to get her own way. So she disobeyed her boss, went behind her Boss's back and THEN failed to include her boss, Queen Elizabeth II in that 'most influential women' cover thus ignoring that her Grandmother in Law was the titular Head of 15 other Nations besides the UK including Australia, Canada and New Zealand and the Head of the Commonwealth of 54 Independent Nations and 2.5 Billion people. Also that the late Queen headed a Brand that is more recognisable across the world than Beyonce. She did however include the woman who gave her the job on Suits. It was all a bit pathetic really, especially as that issue was one of the worst selling in Vogue's history and was the start of the long downfall of Edward Eddingful - or whatever his name is, the ex-Vogue editor, Anna Wintour who is both British and was a huge fan - rightly - of the late Queen.

Your critiques of her outfits never come across as character attacks or a personal vendetta. They just seem to help us understand why we feel like something is off everytime we see her.
Yes, the critiques of Meghan's outfits that you give, do not personally attack her and do give solutions. When any Royal is out doing visits or presentations or giving speeches they are at "work" representing the Queen or themselves. They should be wearing business attire. The outfit could be fashionable or avant-garde but still represent Her Majesty.
I liked the green leather/pleather skirt with a hugging top. She looked professional, and I felt the purse did not detract. I don't know the actual function, but the purse did not seem out of place for a business gathering. Her hair was slicked back and looked presentable without the whispy hairs slipping out looking untidy. This was a lovely outfit that made her look so presentable. She can do this; looking smart, professional, formal.
Meghan did not look like a pushy American, she looked like a young woman stepping out for a business meeting on behalf of her husband's family. She looked well presented.
I mean the other digs throughout the video weren't a dead giveaway or anything like that tho' [sarcasm]

It’s just so hard for me to believe when Catherine never steps out without looking like each and every dress was made onto her like a perfect glove. I've already explained this but I'll do it again. Meghan's clothes are designer samples. She reaches out, they send her samples for free, she wears it and proclaims to the world what she is wearing and the designer gets publicity. In most cases she sends the clothes back.
Even so I highly doubt a high end fashion house is going to loan out something to somebody in the royal family without altering it to fit them perfectly. I’ll fitting clothing don’t read luxury. They aren’t gonna loose money on a tailored outfit if they are getting exposure

@@waywardrachel9637 Sorta. They send the clothes but in the wrong size. This prevents theft and the celebrity refusing to return the item. If they agree it's a good look on her, she gets the correct size and perhaps help with getting a tailored fit. However, MM refuses to listen to anyone and it's gotten to the point (so I heard) that designers are refusing to send her anything because she makes their clothes look awful.
Mrs Harkles lack of grooming sense should be documented for worldwide fashion students. Will we ever see such poor clothing choices again?? Great fashion does not start with the price tag and brand. Her posture and body shape would be a challenge for any clothing manufacturer.
Her grooming does leave much to be desired. She always looks like she needs to wash her face and brush her hair.
Yes the dark green dress looked nice on her except it looked like she was being dragged forward by her navel while looking backwards.

My body is completely different from M's, but I have learned so much from watching your videos about her, as well as your non M videos.

If I’m not mistaken , sleeveless dresses ( for daytime engagements) were frowned on for royals. I can’t recall seeing Catherine or Sophie wearing one
you are very correct, which is why she would throw a jacket over her shoulders when she had on something sleeveless. She should have just put the jacket on.
Everything she did and everything she wore was done on purpose, as a "in your face" to the royal rules and protocols. I'm thinking that someone told her that she needed to wear a jacket with that striped sundress, so instead of actually putting it on she just threw it over her shoulders.😛

Not to body shame; but she needs to select better fitting clothing suited to her shape. She just doesn’t have a torso or waist to speak of, and very broad shoulders. So extra fabric on regular clothes bunches up.
She NEVER has the correct foundational garment. That is the start of a good fashion look.
Some have speculated that the "too muchness" odten found in M's looks, may be some form of merching. Who knows? It's evident she likes all things fashion, even if it's not her best look.

You have reinforced the good advice my mother gave me when I was young. She was Italian and made all my clothes until I was about 14. She knitted all my jumpers and even my school cardigans. She did this without using any patterns. She also knitted and sewed for her 4 grandchildren. Thank you .

She needs a stylist to rein her in, but she also needs a tailor. She's tall enough for regular fit dresses, but her torso length is closer to a petite size. All that extra fabric between waistline and armpits has no place to go, so it bunches. I DO however, think that the bateau neckline (ie wedding gown) looks very flattering on her. Gives length to her neck and opens up her lovely face. JMO.

I love your advice. The only outfit Megain has command over is her jeans and tshirt looks. She tries to look rich but it doesn't come across. My mom was a fashionista. One day we were having an outing with the grandkids so she wore a denim dress. My sophisticated mother got so many compliments because somehow she had the perfect fashion eye . She laughed and laughed afterwards because she thought of the dress as "this old rag"!

My least favorite was the first dress. Sooooooo unprofessional. It's a beach dress. It's what you where at the beach not at work especially if your job is a working f-ing royal!!! Her handbags are always terrible and other than her hair in a nice smooth blow out or a nicely styled bun, not the pulled tight back severe one, her hair always is terrible. Her outfits are never taylored and are always wrinkled. Why didn't she hire a stylist??? 🙄 Plus while on suits she did a talk show talking about tailoring her clothes!!! Favorite look, if I have to choose one, is the green dress, minus the big handbag. The least favorite is the bellybutton dress! The only excuse for that is not having access to a full length mirror. The first outfit is a runner up - soooo. Much going on!! With all her $$$, there is no excuse for the lack of tailoring and lack of proper undergarments - even for her multimillion dollar wedding!! Does no one want to help her, or is she such a no-it-all that she does not accept suggestions. Oh, and there’s that runway walk she does with her hips that drives me CRAZY!! Lol

Someone said she walks like a Clydesdale, that's a very large horse. She has a bunion scar on her left foot, and a bunion on her right foot and abnormally long second toes, don't know if this was from a bad choice of shoes when she was young or maybe hereditary. All her foot shots are photoshopped. Reitmans had to photoshop her feet. Noticed it again on the latest NYC photo's when she was walking into the Hertz rental place in strappy sandals.

I agree - some of these outfits are embarrassing and totally inappropriate to the occasion. Many of her dresses are too long for her height. This picture just screams "I'm not Royal material, I cannot not Royal and I don't want to be a Royal." Her statement that she tried so hard to fit in the royal mold just flew out of the window the minute she put on a sleeveless dress at the first time. Unfortunately, it was as early as their engagement interview, and she stuck to her royal failure throughout her tenure. Down the road she has grown more confident in herself though, and with it she had grown a bigger middle finger. Instead of sleeveless dresses she went for strappy dresses, street sweeping pants and unbuttoned coats, (let alone crossing her legs and putting her feet under the Queen's nose) etc. She could not comply with basic etiquette how do you expect her to pay attention to tiny details like not showing her belly button. It is way above her head.

For the little time Meghan at least tried to be a working member of the RF, she made at least some kind of effort to find a style of her own and come up with some staple elements, like the bateau necklines, the messy buns, and the trenchcoat dresses. However, it is clear that she really didn't get sound advice either because she just didn't get it or because she did not accept it. For most of her time in the RF, she looked either too casual, ill-tailored, messy, or disguised, but always somewhat off. In my opinion, she doesn't have good taste or a sense of style, or even clarity on what works for her body type. Also, she was used to dressing in a very different way... in the high-end call-girl way.
I am really Laughing, it is true, for someone trying to be Diana 2.0 she definitely did not pay attention to Diana's style or anything else for that matter.
I saw a lot of her so called red carpet Hollywood dresses and she did not look any better. it's as if she could not get it right. ex. perfectly coifed updo with a very casual dress and sandals that should have been closed toe or wearing her hair in the beach waves with a semi formal dress and closed toe shoes when this would have been the time to have an open toe shoe and the updo. she really just can't get it right she definitely needs a stylist.
Maybe the stylist should have helped her a little more off screen since she represented the show.
The outfit is very confused; the dress is very casual but then is paired with a structured blazer and very high, strappy black stilettos. It looks as though she is wearing two outfits at once.
Thanks for answering the nude heel question. Glad, too, to hear you bring up wearing nylons. I'm old school (or just old!) but I don't feel fully dressed without nylons or tights and they don't appear to be much in use with younger women. I've been feeling like I was committing a fashion faux pas for not going bare-legged.
it just wasn't DONE when I came up. Going sans stockings meant you were at the beach and about to plunge into the waves. Everywhere else, they were expected. I really thought the summer weight panty hose were the best thing EVER.
I grew up wearing nylons/stockings and in my early career in the executive banking industry, they were required. Even in summer.
Narcissists need to control...so the hand holding is a form of control. It is a control habit of hers....it didn't start with Harry. And she also doesn't follow rules...they don't apply to narcissists.
The blazer in the first look has me truly curious. What, oh what, is keeping that right shoulder so far off of and up from hers? It makes her look like she has some sort of Quasimodoish deformity. I've worn draped jackets and sweaters (when I'm getting cold, never as a fashion choice) and I've *never* had one sit so far off that it looks like it's trying to run away from me.
I think that first dress needs bows on the shoulders! And on the shoes!

Meghan once said she learned a lot about dressing herself from her time on Suits. I've never watched it and don't intend to, but in the clips and photos I've seen, she seems to wear a lot tucked in shirts and belted skirts. Not a good look on her at all. My least favorite outfit is that hideous dress with the big buttons and thick, sloppy tie belt. It has everything that looks terrible on her which she repeats in so many of her outfits: the numerous big buttons, the big sloppy belt that makes her torso even shorter, and the neutral color which never looks good on her.
I’m not a fan of MM’s behavior, however I do like your positivity with dressing for your body. No shame in any figure, just bad sloppy choices are her pattern. 👗
It's so odd that such an attractive woman who has worked in tv for so long would have no idea how to style herself. When she wears the right outfit she can look so good.

Actually I i appreciate these videos. Other than the short torso, my body type is very similar to Meghan's. The critiques are invaluable to me.
I think the most confusing thing is what she is trying to say with her clothes.
So the trench, buttoned dresses, what's the message? They are not flattering (provides an ego boost), they are not professional (provides a confidence boost), they are not pretty (provides an approachable look), they look uncomfortable (provides a casual relaxed look).
They look like something you have in the wardrobe you pull out last minute because everything else is in the wash, "that'll do, at least it's clean and I can shove a belt on".

She doesn't understand the over the shoulder jacket look. The jacket's shoulder is not supposed to sit so awkwardly.
That first striped dress has too much fabric above the waist in the back. I needed to be shortened from the shoulders to the waist (or lack there of)

Meg shouldn't wear belted clothes, she hasn't got a waist. her wedding dress didn't fit across the arm pits either weird baggy bit either side. I think she goes for designer rather than her body shape.
Why do designers still send her clothing to wear? Do they actually appreciate what she does with their clothing? I avoid the down-market copies. I can’t unsee the mess she makes. I prefer to way Catherine contemporizes traditional casual and formal styles with attention to fit and respect for the designer.
The hand-holding started day one with their engagement interview where she had his hand captured in her lap clutched by both of her hands. Same with their photo op outside with her over-sized shoes and coat.
She wears lots of coats and capes. I think she thinks it hides her thick torso. But it doesn't.

Sometimes I wonder if her fashion choices were just her rebelling on purpose. I think it very audacious of her to come in & not comply with royal protocol. Some of her more casual outfits read more California to me, too casual for the occasions. It all had a very "I'll do what I want" vibe. Then when she was criticized for it, she could say, there's no pleasing these people, no matter what I did they found fault!

The black trousers with white shirt was part of a capsule wardrobe she “designed” for the charity Smart Works, which helps women recentering the workforce with professional clothing. The items were produced by Marks and Spencer’s so are far from designer quality.
She really loves these trench dresses with the tie belts. She rarely carries them off well so I don’t know why she’s so attached to them.
#1. She looks like a TRANS train engineer in the first one. The draped blazer accentuates the wide shoulders and emphasizes the inverted ⚠️. #2. The uneven hem draws your eye to the spindly legs. #3 and #4… AGAIN a big bow to highlight the thick waist…..#6 the bump clutch AGAIN.
