Chester Bennington.. Sings like an angel, with the tormented scream of a demon... He will make you feel things, even when you're not wanting too. I was lucky enough to see Linkin Park once, and I wish it was more. Individually, they are amazing, but together they were a shooting star that faded too soon.
Chester and by extension, Linkin Park, were the voice of the millennial generation. They saved so many from a different way out, and I think, were a driving force for helping make seeking mental help a widespread thing
"Waiting for the end" is arguably best LP song in term instrumental
I was lucky enough to see them a few times and when Chester died it hit hard. Going back and listening to the songs since gives a whole new perspective on everything Chester wrote. RIP Chester Bennington ❤❤
Please let Given Up be the next one!🙏🏻 you will see some vocal talent on there by Chester. Also, it would be great if you listened to the live version of it (because you wouldn’t believe Chester could really pull those vocals live). But of course it’s up to you if you feel like doing the live version or the studio one.

Now you’ve heard Numb you HAVE to do Numb/Encore which is a mash-up that Linkin Park and Jay-Z recorded. They actually did an entire album and it’s awesome. Perhaps better when you know the Jay-Z songs first, but no doubt you’ll love Numb/Encore even if you don’t know the Jay-Z song beforehand!! Keep it up, loving the reactions

Linkin Park is rare group. They change genre in every album. You can have any type of song from their discography. They have rock, hiphop, nu metal, edm, pop, ballad you name it. It's like a buffet from the finest restaurant.

Linkin Park does not have any bad songs. you could start and go from album to the next. Every song is a hit. Somewhere I Belong, Given Up, Castle of Glass, Heavy, Bleed It Out, Papercut, One Step Closer. Just go down the complete Rabbit Hole.

if you like this mix of rock and rap you should definitely react to numb/encore and Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer with Jay Z sometime. they made a whole album mashing up their songs but those 2 are definitely the best.

At the end of Numb you had the recommendation for the newest Mike Shinoda song. Already Over has over 1 million views on UA-cam and it has only been out for a little over a month (October 6th). It has more of a Linkin Park sound than any other song he has released since Chester's passing in 2017. I listen to it daily because it is a very good song and Mike is just a genius with music and art.
Mike Shinoda is the founder of Linkin Park. He is a humble man who just wants to be loved by the fans. He hasn't let the fame go to his head at all. In 2005 he did a side project called Fort Minor. It was a way for him to go back to his roots in Hip-hop/rap and gave him an outlet for his songs that wouldn't work for Linkin Park.
Chester also had his own band called Dead By Sunrise. It was his outlet for his songs that wouldn't work for Linkin Park. Sadly only one album was released from Dead by Sunrise and that was in 2009. Dead by Sunrise is more punk rock than Linkin Park would ever be. My 4 favorite Dead By Sunrise songs are Let Down, Crawl Back In, Walking in Circles, and Condemned.

If you want to hear Linkin Park in a U2 groove then you have to listen to their song Iridescent. It was featured on the Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie. In fact they had a song on each of the first 3 Transformers movies. What I've Done, New Divide, and Iridescent. All great songs.

lol, I know, right? You'd think that I had heard some of these before. When I do get a request to react to a specific song that I've heard before, I usually reply back telling them that it was a good recommendation, ,but that I can't react to it. I do not react to songs I've heard. When it my car, I'm usually tuned into talk radio or Podcasts like How Stuff Works, and Mike Rowes Podcast and that kind of thing. Good question, though!
