For everyone who does not know what "Moose spec" torque is here is the conversion chart: One light grunt: 20ftlb, two light grunts: 35ftlb, one large grunt: 50-70ftlbs, one large grunt, gritted teeth and a fart: 100-130ftlbs, two large grunts, sweating, cursing and a big fart: 150-210ftlbs, a yell (Yeti style), massive sweating, cursing like a sailor and crapping his pants 250+ftlbs.
euro s50b32 is known to lose power with faulty vanos, for performance use you should really check if thing is working right. Mine made only around 290 hp at crank with faulty vanos. After vanos rebuild, seals/solenoids etc. and tune it made 330 hp with stock intake and exhaust on same dyno.
I'm glad that Moose switched to a nut driver. I'm always amazed at how people are content with using a flat head screwdriver for hose clamps. On a side note; I learned from an old MotoIQ article by Dave Coleman, that Mercedes makes wonderful hose clamps. So, the next time anyone is at the salvage yard, pick yourself up a few for future projects.
I hope you are prepared to see Moose make his floppy hose rigid then inserting a large part into a small space while steadily increasing the noises his baby makes, 'cuz that's the episode! Sparks flying by the end of the video, even had Vin step in to hit the tailpipe immediately followed by Moose driving her hard in the cockpit! Wooo! ✌😆
Can we see a video that compares a 95 euro spec M3 vs a NA spec 95 M3? Everyone always talks trash about the NA spec, but there is no video I can find that compares the two cars side by side, now that one can start importing early euro spec versions, the comparison is more valuable and interesting
Jono oh are they similarly spec's cars? It would be nice to see an apples-to-apples comparison with the same driver. IDK how good a driver moose is vs some random driver (who may be way faster of a driver). An apples to apples comparison I think would dispel/support a lot of discussion related to the two topics
Seeing Moose in these cars makes me feel OK with being a large man. Being tall and enjoying amazing sports cars is...well...a bitch. Moose, you do man! Squeeze in and have a blast like all us other Men of Men! \m/
Multiple ones ... EG Si Hatch Built Time attack car, EG DX Coupe Beater, EK Si sedan Daily + track toy FG Si Coupe Daily + track Toy ... more room in them than the E36 M3
@@andrewd2911 really ? I find it hard to believe unless it was never driven and garaged in Europe then you guys found a winner! Most of the imports im seeing are rusted turds that are only good for the drivers in the rest of the shell is left sent to the scrap yard lol
About time a video on the euro spec e36 m3 . Have you checked your vanos unit rebuild and solenoids tested you can rebuild the sensor it's the resister inside that causes the issue with solenoids on vanos not working properly . Even the screen on MAF can make HP had some made at home with 3D printer. What spec is your vehicle 3.0 or 3.2 ? I'll be fit a S50 euro in a e30 still building the engine but got a M52b28tu in there at the moment hopefully the SMG gearboxs and components from e36 M3 evo all fit somewhere in the bay . Euro spec vehicle's got this option rare but most toss it away for a stick shift ZF 6 speed gearbox
It is the Euro S50 3.0L The Vanos is just starting to show signs of age. This winter it will be rebuilt with a good going over of the rest of the valvetrain and some bottom-end maintenance and upgrades
@@andrewd2911 nice car mate hopefully you'll sort out all those issues that these car/engines have especially the vanos , valvetrain .bearing rods bolts and the shimming of the valves another issue that will cause engine damage
Thanks - Engine is coming out once the snow starts falling later this year. Rebuilt Vanos, updated oil bypass restrictor, valve clearances checked and re-shimmed where nessessary, , cam chain guides and tensioners checked and replaced when needed, Motorsports (LTW) dual pickup oil pump and pan installed, new ARP rod bolts, bearing checked and replaced where nessessary.
Cool video but you guys lost me at the welding of the exhaust and not fixing it the proper way and continuing the rushed micky mouse way it had been done before 😂 a simple sleeve slip on clamp would have been better for future services hope it’s been readdressed 4 years since this upload lol

The Vanos will be rebuilt this winter
Could just remove it entirely? and then never think about it
@@p0intdk Then you lose all dat power
yeah i made back 20-25rwhp in loss hp once replacing with a rebuilt dr vanos unit for my s50b30
you would lose a little mid-range torque, and get a bit of a lopey idle, but hp should be about the same
That misshift at 12:27 😂
Straight to fifth. Lol
He cringed right away lol watch his face
Rofl 2nd to 5th
Lmao. Tried to play that shit off. Dave shoulda called him out!
At first I thought the clutch was slipping. Never mind!
Literally just got finished watching your last vid and got the notification for this one! Hallelujah 🙌🏽👌🏾

Apparently Moose drives like he wrenches. He’s always fun to watch.
Moose was put on this earth for our entertainment.
I'd like to become friends with moose.. euro s50 AND a 5th gen VFR800? This man KNOWS satisfying sounds
Sounded fantastic on the drive. Nice work MOOSE!
Moose is legit my favorite person on youtube.

We're so close to 200k! Can't wait to see that mark.
It’s always a good day when moose is in an episode
I am a huge e36 m3 fan and I have one myself so I am excited to see where this goes!
Moose is such a character haha
True, and I'm sure he's fun to hang out with.......
But watching him do any work on cars makes me want to scream!
You have to start somewhere
That's a hot air intake now.should've gone with the afe
WE need more moose :)

There are quite a few us specs that have quicker laptimes than what they got at that track.

Is the next episode gonna be a new shifter or linkage? Or installing a road map to 3rd gear? Baahahaha. Love the show! Keep em coming!
I originally didnt like moose because his breathing was loud and got on my nerves. But, now, he's growing on me
Love the itb sound!
Office space was the best movie 😂😂
*One day i just keek dis piece of sheet out the window*
Nye - Ee - Nah - Nah - Jar...... *NYEENAHNAHJAR*
Is not that hard!
That stock airbox is very well engineered for performance.
Thanks moose it was a journey but we got there
I thumbed up this video 4 times before even watching it.... Because Mooooooose...
The e36 is back!
Seeing Moose in these cars makes me feel OK with being a large man. Being tall and enjoying amazing sports cars is...well...a bitch. Moose, you do man! Squeeze in and have a blast like all us other Men of Men! \m/
Smashed it ten times!!
"The song of my children" killed me.
That 2 to 5 shift though!!!
Moose is a dam character!! Hes so funny haha
Your intros are more Dad than ever lately! :D
Love the euro e36 m3, but get an airbox for that bad boy oneday!
Ahaha Moose is the best.
Vin's happy face 😂
Wait. Did Moose just say he used to have a Civic? I didn't think they could fit that much man.
Multiple ones ... EG Si Hatch Built Time attack car, EG DX Coupe Beater, EK Si sedan Daily + track toy FG Si Coupe Daily + track Toy ... more room in them than the E36 M3
Do you think a slightly shorter rear ratio would make this car a bit faster on the quarter mile?
Sounds good.
instead of cut and weld, could have gone with cut and band clamp! its used in many factory applications (fords and VW/AUDI come to mind.
8:30 Whoa! What 5ton(?) jack is that? First time i saw one that big but with a low profile.
It looks like that velocity stack blocks half the filter!!!
Man I want to do an E36 M3 build now
This is so good.... Dave just giving him shit the entire time.... lololol
How did you get your hands on a euro spec!!!!? I neeed one of these in my life
Maybe weld up the rot spot on the Frame while you are at it
Unless it’s just a weird shadow that looks like a rot spot
Shadow ....there is no rust on this car

More details on the red bike in the background?
Honda VFR800 5th gen
Moose i love your e36 bud !!❤❤❤😎💪💪
Infantile.
class, what steering wheel is that ? cheers
Why there is still a Vader seats? Didn't Moose get rid of them?
Nope - the Vaders are for street duty. The Drivers Momo gets bolted in for track days
Does euro spec intake manifold fit on 1995 3.0 m3?
I feel like he shifted up one too many gears lol, those revs dropped hard and im not sure bmw has the gears spaced that far apart.
Shifted from 3 to 5
Nope! That was 2nd to 5th
5th gear lean is a problem in today's E36 community and we need to spread awareness about this issue
are you selling your original exgaust?
Looked like the drill would slip and go through the top radiator hose......
The Moose is loose!
So no one is paying attention to the 5th gen VFR parked in the garage?
Moose isn't scared to rip through the gears on the street like peter is. Unfortunately he went 3rd to 5th.
Turn the air filter so the ugly metal filter material merging piece is out of sight.
What spoiler is that?
No carbon airbox?
I Iike watching Moose, he just needs to really slow down and breathe
These taillights hurt my eyes!
Burn them please!
I have OE replacements on the shelf for thoose nasties (that came with the car)
did i just hear moose complaining about someone not doing something right?
uhm it says 8cyl in the intructions. K&N fucked up a little, lets hope it works fine tho.
How does Canada get the good motor lol
Besides the 45 that came. You can import them (usually from japan). Meh. Not even worth the effort if you have a us spec already.
He used 1,73 Moose Leverages. 1,73Ml for short.
2nd to 5th lol
Moose is my homie tho
That guy who welded the exhaust is the Canadian Orion from haggard

Was that a 2nd to 5th shift at 12:29?! 🤦♂️
Yea I was cracking up
let me fix your intake noise " problem". Alpha-N........
Yeet
Nice👌🏻
But those taillights are awful😂
Needs OEM euro tails bad!
yeah ... have OE's on the shelf, just need the time to change them out
Andrew D mhw taillights (all red taillights) 🤙🏻
hahah vroom vrooooooom bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. misshift
Get new tail lights lol
Fiiiiiirrrssst, secoooonnnddddd, fifthhhhh.
poor car, demount that shitty CAI from it, this car deserves better overwatching...welding exhaust :( omg :(
So childish.
