My favorite Malcolm insult is when he calls Ollie a “Quentin Blake illustration ” there has never been a more perfect description, and reference.
I think its when he says to him "Oi. Love Actually..."
@@davidrider2264 I think the "love actually" line was Jamie not Malcolm. Not 100% though. My fave is "Yok Ono and the 2 remaining Beatles, fuck off" or "omnishambles".
@@patrickwilliams6143 It is indeed Jamie, but it's from the "In the Loop" movie.
ollie should have called him a lucien freud painting in return
Its the double insult of a "badly drawn" Quentin Blake illustration that nails me
Ever noticed how Malcom is always friendly and polite to people like cleaning ladies etc? That’s the real Malcom.
You have to respect him for that.
He has respect for basic competence and the ability to do a job. Unfortunately, politicians are often incompetent and can never do their job. Therefore, they invite ridicule and terror.
99% of the people in government are useless muppets and Malcolm treats them as such.
Yep, and to the nurse/receptionist at the hospital he went to when visiting Ollie.
'we are in a prison drama. We are in the Shawshank redemption - but with more tunneling through shit and no redemption'. Made me LOL
That is the best line in the entire show.
Come off it we are not in a prison drama
Yes we are, this is the fucking shawshank redemption except more tunneling through shit and no redemption
Perfect description of 2020
Capaldi's delivery of the line "The Kraken awakes!" never fails to make me laugh.
It's so... Doctory
@@jayvee4321It truly is 🤣🤖
Kraken makes me think of Sidney Powell for some reason.....
I'm just imagining the 12th Doctor saying that to the Darlek Emperor.
6:18 “I do have a statement from a rent boy...”
“...you can claim that against your expenses” 😂😂
i love the "well i am just the shadow chancellor"
"Noses can't break anyway, that's a myth."
1:52 nice
its true
@Bilal Khalid interesting way of saying what the fuck
‘I’ve got so much on as it is’
What the fuck are you talking about?
Priceless how Malcolm and Stewart run through the lists of each other's ministers' scandals.
They're all completely believable as British political scandals as well
"Dot Cotton licking piss off a nettle"....LMAO
It's actually " a dog caught licking piss of a nettle"
@@kylecampbell2164 Nope.
@@kylecampbell2164 Nope, he says Dot Cotton.
Simply one of the greatest Sitcom characters of all time.
Only just noticed that when Glen gets punched the first thing John "hide the lobotomy scars" Duggan says is "oh God, I've got so much on as it is" 😂😂
That's the best thing about this show, I've seen it so much but when I rewatch I find new things or characters faces in the background. Excellent
I love at 2:00 when Glen gets punched and the first thing the self-proclaimed 'busiest man in politics' says is "aw no, I've got enough on as it is" hahahaha
Imagine if the doctor was like this 😂 I'd love this as his portrayal
Gonna get censored tho 😂😂😂
The Fury of a time lord…
The fuck of a time lord
When he was announced as the doctor, I was hoping for a crossover episode about a time-travelling director of communications who stalks the corridors of Whitehall screaming obscenities at bemused civil servants.
This is what he's like when it's just 12 and Nardole in the TARDIS. Lets it all out. 2000 years of rage.
Peter Capaldi is just a phenomenally talented and charming man!
This is poetry that kids will learn in twenty years. Hands down.
Kids won't get the references in twenty years.
@@HighSlayerRalton So? They don’t get poetry in general. But someday they’ll appreciate it.
This is what the kids are already learning in Scotland
@@HighSlayerRaltonThat's what uni is for... to teach them about the references.
Shoving a magnet down the throat of a heavily pierced guy and watching his face implode... Creative 4:55
Stuart's quiet "Quite quite mad..." makes me cackle every time
“The Kraken awakes” gets me buckled every time 🤣🤣🤣
I know this is a usual generic comment but, he literally said that as I read your comment. I love that.
He didn’t say anything about teabagging 😂
Peter Capaldi is absolutely outstanding in every role, I think he's prone to these grumpy and angry characters, which is funny because in real life he seems to be one of the sweetest people on Earth.
By the way, this is exactly how the Twelfth Doctor would've acted and talked if Doctor Who wasn't meant to be a family show. I just imagine him being exactly like this when we don't see him.
‘What the fuck are you doing Clara? Dating a PE teacher? What’s next, a fucking RE teacher?’
And Alex McQueen is playing the Master in Big Finish audiodramas. That's only makes it better.
Please get this back. Malcolm during Brexit this is what the world wants!
Even better- Malcolm during lockdown
The writers have stated that they feel it's impossible to properly satirize modern british politics, as no matter how crazy they make their fiction some actual real-life politician is going to top it by next thursday.
I bet it's too offensive for the Zoomers, they are so delicate
@@janbochen7134 lol. And yet when someone criticises Brexit or the Tories or the Union Flag or the Royal Family it is old grey boomers who get upset and sensitive.
@@apx2444 are you antiwhite? Because it seems to be criticizing any culture or traditions of nonwhite peoples would likely offend you but criticizing the cultures and traditions of Western people is supposed to be something welcomed.
The further I get into my professional career, the more I understand Malcolm Tucker
“Thank you for giving us a guided tour of the Freudian nightmare of your head!” The line and delivery gets me every time
"don't panic, Orca! We'll get sandwiches!"........ and this is only series 3 !
1:36 the beige power ranger 😂😂
Wow, that aged poorly, because now their is one.
Pure poetry.
It really was the perfect blend of high brow and low brow. From "Anthony Eden's lipstick" to "noses supposes" - brilliant
Damn, the Doctor is cranky when he hasn't had a Snickers 😂
04:53 Why can't I stop laughing at that?
The idea alone.
Because it’s awesome
Because you found it funny
In a show bursting at seams with phenomenal dialog, the scene 5:03 to 6:33 might be best in the series.
The fact this is split into two parts, sums this character and the show so well
Why's that?
Where’s part two
0:17: 'What is this, bukaki and bed time?' I am crying.
"The beige power ranger" 😆
“You can claim that against your expenses can’t you”😂
He was permanently angry and I was completely up for it.
Punches Glenn
“Aw you’ve hurt yourself”
One of the best shows of all time, and an absolute MASTERCLASS in acting 🙂
I'm watching this in 2022. At time of writing we've had a Prime Minister in place for 40 days, since her predecessor was forced to resign for serial lying to Parliament and breaking emergency laws he himself enacted. We're on our fourth Chancellor in four months. The economy has crashed. I watch The Thick Of It now with a kind of wistful nostalgia.
Every time this country goes into another political crisis (which seems to be every other week at the moment) I get the urge to watch The Thick Of It.
Haha I'd genuinely forgotten about her. Not even trying to be edgy
Seriously right 😊
2024 here, now you have mind police
Love all the "[ ___ ]" in the automatic captions every time he swears 🤣
That line about the disabled girl at the football match killed me I’m remembering that one 😂😂😂
Where that one in the video
I was always rooting for Malcolm, sad how it all ended.
Agreed, and I know Ollie probably isn't one of the more liked characters from TToi, but it's honestly pretty impressive how he quietly orchestrates Malcolm's downfall. I kind of would have liked to have seen how Ollie would get along in Malcolm's position, though it wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining.
You honestly thought this guy would have even a semi-happy ending?! 😂😢😂
@@CheerfullyCynical829 -- I think it would have been better if Malcolm was the last one standing when the series ended. Malcolm's manipulations and tirades deserved to go on and on, terrorizing half-witted, pompous ministers for years to come.
I think capaldi is a brilliant actor and has been exceptional in every thing he has done, BUT his portrayal as Malcolm Tucker still goes down as one of the best and funniest characters I've even seen!!!!! (possibly apart from shearsmith and pemberton)
"Nazi float at the Notting Hill Carnival" is classic.
The combination of a genius script and a genius actor-glorious!
Peter capaldi is a great actor. He will a great thinker in the suicide squad.
here's to hoping for the fast talking technobabble monologues of 12 and the colorful metaphors of Malcolm Tucker
They totally wasted him. The character barely did anything.
@@user-uq4gr5nl5o he managed to channel both the doctor and malcolm during his time though
@@user-uq4gr5nl5o nah it was a perfect bit part
“Spare me your psycho-fanny”. Enough said. 😂
Malcolm being Malcolm for 9 minutes straight!😩
“Ford Focus!” Is the greatest delivery in the history of speaking
12th Doctor at his best
Shut up. Shutititity upupup!
😁
It's fucking time travel, Bill!
12th Doctor reacts to the timeless child twist
@@Saint_nobody when the TARDIS translation circuit had to clean up the Doctor's language
Thats not the 12th Doctor thats Malcolm Tucker (The Demon Peter Capaldi)
One of the BEST cricket sledges, from Rod Marsh - 'So how's your wife and my kids?'
The Doctor met him and got scared that he chose Malcolm's face for his 12th regeneration. Lol
Hahaha!
"Well, thank you for giving us a guided tour around the freudian nightmare of your head"
2:00 - oh you've hurt yourself! haha
amongst all the other stuff i've only just noticed miles say "noses can't break, that's a myth" and glenn cuss him out after it and i can't stop laughing
My favourite program ever. Pure brilliance from start to finish......
Every single second of this is gold.
Malcolm is the entire reason to watch this series.
Comparing Glen to Harold Bishop from neighbours cracked me up
That, and Private Godfrey
Malcolm decking Glen, priceless
4.22 "Right what's the strategy? The kraken awakes...... ' 😂😂😂😂
The fact that this man is actually Alistair Campbell is insane :))
"Ive got so much on as it is" i wanna cry every time i hear it
I enjoyed the Doctor's stint as President of the World.
6:05 oH wElL i aM jUsT dE sHaDoW cHaNcElLoR
Part 1 of Infinite. I quote Malcolm quite a lot actually. Probably to a unhealthy extent
Genius show. Simultaneously hilarious and terrifying.
The kraken awakes.
Easy number this for a Scotsmen. Sounds like any of us when enjoying ourselves
I love Peter Capaldi so much 🤗
When the doctor has had ENOUGH
Such a sweet, humble, polite and caring guy!
🤣🤣🤣" Anthony Eden's lipstick on the bottle".Priceless.
3:12 never realised Sara Pascoe was in this until watching this video
I love that fist clip scene where he just immediately goes to far😂
"I've got so much on as it is" - such an underrated line 😂
I sniffed a bit when Glenn says "I want a hanky."
"Jesus Christ that's a tiny kettle that..." lmao
Bukakke at bedtime and Indiana Murray and the Bum Dildo of Vengeance are my favorite quotes
0:35 It's the little things that make me laugh the most
Perfect way to end the video!
Imagine Malcolm Tucker going off on The Master or the Daleks or, even better, the Time Lords themselves...
Malcolm Tucker is what I imagine the angry side of Mr Bean's personality is like.
5:05 love this avalanche of shit 😂
Moral of this video: Don't mess with Peter Capaldi.
Nicola Murray always reminded me of liza Tarbuck (her off the big breakfast)
Spot on Malcolm 😂🤣
“Are you out your tiny shiny little mind” 😂😂😂😂
Peter Capaldi is a goddamn legend.
That radio episode was epic!😂
Imagine Malcom Tucker and Boris at the dispatch box. (Unedited obviously!)
Never a better character in British history.
Here’s The beige Power Ranger 😂1:37
I wish he did special guest appearances for The Office.
At 1m 39s the guy who argues with Peter Capaldi looks like Jonathon Pie’s dad lol
I want to see John Hannah and Peter Capaldi have a swearing match with each other.
That would be amazing!
Throw Gordon Ramsay in for the sequel
BEST Doctor Who Episode ever!
I have a crush on Malcolm Tucker
Baldy swimming cap wig 😭😭
The Scottish accent just enhances everything
I wish he played the doctor like this lmao
who is here in 2022 when it turns out that the chief whips are exactly like Malcolm Tucker! lol
It a f ing LOCKDOWN
Cries in Jan 2021
It"s not here but i want to mention it bc it's one of my fav lines on the show "i'm standing in a factory that sells fans, And a guy walks in with a shit spraying machine"😂😂
I nowadays just dream of this level of political competence.
