Hey man, have you tried using the BMW GT2 on the DD? I own both F1 and BMW rim and because of the weight of BMW, they already feel drastically different on CSW 2.5 in detail. BMW just kills CSW, I can barely feel any small detail. So I am curious if it still have the same effect on a DD. Since you are comparing different rim alone with the wheel bases, it might have drag the gap even bigger.

For what it's worth I currently run the Porsche 911 rim as you can see in my videos. When I moved to this rim after running the F1 V2 rim I did not notice anything different about the feedback. But this is a podium wheel rim designed for the podium wheel base. However the fundamentals of it being bigger and round are still valid I think. But I would wait and see what Mr hardware says.
So I know in this video I am going on about how the dd1 is noticeably better than the csw 2.5, and that may paint a picture that the csw is bad. @@ji3200 my DD1 is epic I love it. But I 9nly had it around 6 months so I have only ever used it on the newer firmwares.
I hear that the simucube is marginally better but the DD1 as far as I can tell is fabulous.
I was thinking of upgrading to a csw V2.5 from a thrustmaster t300 alcantara now I’m considering of getting a dd1 is it any good to get a better feeling for the real thing ?
It does feel better than a csw 2.5 in my genuine opinion but both wheel bases are still fantastic and I'm sure you would be happy with either. It just depends if you think a DD will be something you want in future it may be cheaper in the long run to skip the csw.
@@OnlyFoolsGaming thanks I will be saving up my money and I’ll see if I want to wait a few more months to get the dd1 thanks again this definitely helped
Im still deciding off getting a dd1 or csw v 2.5 but I really want the gt2 rim is it plug and play for the dd1 or would you need the quick release hub?
Gt2 is plug and play my friend.
@@OnlyFoolsGaming for both the csw v2.5 and dd1 so if i would get the dd1 for example with a bmw gt2 wheel and pedals i have a full set?
@@siper6492 the dd1 wheel base will take any fanatec pedals.
The dd1 wheel base is also directly compatable with the gt2 wheel rim.
@@OnlyFoolsGaming Allright thanks man this helps I will let you know if I chose one
A question. I do love sim racing but i also do a lot of trucking sims, more so then racing. How is in the noise area? I dont mind it throwing me around and such, but i am fed up with the ratteling that my G29 has picked up to an absurd level over the last few months.
Neither the dd1 nor the csw have any noticeable rattles or clunks dude.
Either will be fine for your requirements I would think.
@@OnlyFoolsGaming Thank you! Then its just a matter for me if id like to wait an undefined ammount of time for the CSW to get in stock or pay up the extra bit for the DD1 and get it right away.
If you can afford it......get the dd1.
You future proof yourself for 5 years and the difference is noticeable.
Both are seriously good.
But the dd1 is 30 percent better everywhere.
@@OnlyFoolsGaming Looks like im going for the DD1 then, worth paying the 120 extra euros for the 5 year warranty?
@@linushg7131 I think no.
It comes with 2 years anyway and you will probably change it by then as we SIM racers never rest for long haha
Indid not try the rim unfortunately but they donwokr inknownthat much. I loved the BMW rim on the csw2.5 but it was the only rim I tried on it! Maybe I was missing out!
Thanks for watching and commenting dude.
Only Fools Racing yea BMW still feels great on CSW, but after I tried F1 rim on it, the difference in detail have many characteristic that you have described here, I am getting a DD2 tomorrow, will try the BMW on it and make a video about it, really love the BMW, hopefully DD can make it feel closer to how F1 felt on CSW. Anyway Great video keep the content coming!
@@simsportgadget thanks my man.
@@simsportgadget bro have u tried it? I have the same issue with my bmw wheel on v2.5. I fully agree that f1 rim feels better on v2.5, but i only drive gt cars on ACC, and i prefer a round wheel like bmw. Still not sure to upgrade to a DD or keep v2.5 with bmw? Your help is appreciated.
So I run a t300rs and I don’t want to get a dd1 but I’m thinking of getting the fanatec v 2.5 I wonder if it’s worth an upgrade
So I know in this video I am going on about how the dd1 is noticeably better than the csw 2.5, and that may paint a picture that the csw is bad.
Trust me when I say it is not and I say that in the video.
The csw is quite simply phenomenal.
And beautifully engineered.
Csw and dd1 are fantastic.
You wouldn't go wrong with either.
It's a bit like going to Lamborghini and deciding if you want a Hurracan or an Aventador. Either way.....your going home fast.
🤣
Thanks for watching dude.
Me trying to convince myself to get the podium dd1 from a G29 but its a crazy lot of money
Agreed
It's definitely not a cheap hobby
I have mine DD1 now 7 months, but i was so stupid to drive all that time without torque key hahah.... (because i thought only the DD2 has that key) so i always felt the 40 % strength of the wheel, about 8 nm, i coudn't find my key... So i had to buy a new key by Fanatec, that is coming this friday. so than finally i can test the real wheel hahaha... Can't wait ! how much difference it is, With low torq it is also a great wheel (takes some time to setup it right etc)
you are going to have a BLAST!!! they key of wonders!!
Well, shit. Bought. 2.5 about 2 months ago. Reeeally considering an upgrade. Kills me to think I'm missing out
It's worth the upgrade buddy in my opinion.
I sold my v2.5 with BMW rim for 50 quid less than I paid!
Yep, went from Clubsport 2.5 to SimExperience Accuforce 2 and instantly faster, quicker....just better
I would get one if Fanatec shipped to my country 😤
Where you from?

No thunk here on mine
Nice one.
Mine definitely had a very very tiny amount of 'slack' it was tiny but I could feel it.
Maybe not all of them have it 👍
