I got one word for this: OUTSTANDING! Charlemanage's Empire survived, becoming the true Roman Empire is a brilliant and creative alternate history story, and this is a beautiful masterpiece, Mr. Videntis. I really mean it, and I love to see a part two and even part three, for this one deserves to become a mini-series of its own. But I never thought the Cariologan Empire would be a match for the Vikings with the HRE in its place, and the Normans staying in the British Isles instead of Normandy means no Normandy invasion of England, and forming an alliance to the true Roman Empire is kind surprised me. As for what happens next, I would speculate the Carolingian Empire would forge an alliance with England, the Byzantine Empire, and Hungary against the might of the Mongols and might even help the people of Kievan Rus and even join forces against the Mongols for the greater good for Europe and Christianity. Anyway, this is a great video, my friend, and please keep up the fantastic work and always remember you are worthy of respect and recognition; don't forget that!
Here are some engaging alternate history scenarios for the future: What if Sehadze Musta had become the next Sultan of the Ottoman Empire? Suppose his father, Suleiman the Magnificent, stopped or ordered the execution of his firstborn son. How did Musta, as Sultan, take the Ottoman Empire in a different direction than his predecessors?
What if the Ottomans conquer Persia? What are ways could the Ottomans could do to bale to annex the entire Persian Empire, and would there be a greater Ottoman Empire with the conquest of Persia, and how this be impactful and beneficial to the Ottomans?
What if the death and exile of Catherine of Aragon sparked aggressive conflicts between the Kingdom of England and the Holy Roman Empire? There were rumors that Henry VIII had poisoned Catherine himself but later discovered by autopsy that some stomach cancer had killed her. Not only that, but Catherine is also the aunt of Charles the 5th ( Holy Roman Emperor), for he is the son of Joanna the Mad Castile, who happen to be the sister of Catherine. If the rumors were true that Henry VIII did, in fact, poison Catherine, what would the reaction of Charles V be, and would he want not to risk a war against England? Also, Catherine was very popular and was liked by the English people, and in the original timeline, Henry VIII was infamous for beheading his wives for not producing a male heir but also because they were not liked by the English people or the English nobility.
Catherine is well-liked by the English aristocracy for her. Influential in politics, Catherine was known to be the Queen of the people, for she cared for her English subjects. Henry VIII had never done that to Catherine because he feared some massive rebellion or revolt by his English subjects and nobles against him. Catherine was liked by the people and the nobility for that; he had her exiled and imprisoned instead. Could Herny VIII's involvement with Catherine's death be an alternate English Civil War, and could Mary, his daughter, start an English Civil War to avenge her mother's death? How this be impactful and which sides join on Engalnd's and the HRE's side, and who will be the victor of this war? Would there be a war of England against the might of the Holy Roman Empire? If any victor won this war, how would European history change?
What if Ivan III, known as Ivan the Terrible, never killed his firstborn son, Ivan Ivananocih, the future heir of the Tsardom of Russia? Would the Russian Empire be formed by the Rurkird Dynasty instead of the Romavos? How would Russia differ from the Rurkirds as the oldest imperial dynasty to rule Russia? How does this change with the Rukird Dynasty never going extinct?
What if Napoleon II had lived if Napeloen Bonparte had accepted the Frankfurt Prospal and married Princess Sophia of Bavaria? What would France be like under Napeoloen's reign as Emperor in a peaceful region, and would Napeloen II be a good ruler just like his father, and is it possible for Napeloen ad Princess Baviraconive, an heir to the Imperial French Throne? Fun fact: Princess Sophia of Bavaria is the daughter of Joseph Maximilian I, King of Bavaria, and is the mother of Franz Joesph Hapburg, Emperor of the Austro-Hungraain Empire.
Which of these scenarios do you like best, Mr. Videntis? And which these scenarios are your favirotes and which ones you never heard ebfore and why?

    • @Enyavar1
      @Enyavar1 Рік тому +1

@@anvos658 Yep, nothing ever going wrong for the Franks here, makes this a very unlikely scenario. I really expected a king or two dying in conquest, resulting in a setback for a while.
Handing them North Africa this early into the scenario is especially weird. The Franks had less administrative and engineering infrastructure than the Romans had - how would they rule over such a vast empire? The Romans could manage this with multiple imperators at the same time, but how would the Frankish kings do this - without nominating powerful vassals to rule over each portion of the empire?
21:12 "Absence of Feudalism" - lol why how??
Faster advancement than in our timeline - again how?? After all, creating a huge culturally and religiously unified and thus soon stagnant Blob-Empire is not necessarily conducive for fast scientific advancement. Of course, universities and education can help, but why would those be set up?
The scenario neglects the Turks/Seljuqs. Plagues or other desasters? Power struggles against the church? Heretic movements were a huge factor in the time too.
And Transelbia? (Brandenberg, Poland, Bohemia?) The areas were, sorry to say so, a mix between woody sandboxes, woody mountains and woody swampland. Yes, the tribes of the area had been advancing too, but in OTL it took the same 400 centuries for the buildup that is achieved here in merely 100 years, by the year 900 at latest. The Franks had nothing to gain from there this early - not without massive undertakings in building new infrastructure, colonization, and mission. Where do they gain the manpower to maintain control there, and in Hungary too?

@@amlking this is after bismarck is dismissed, even up to weeks prior to the war an anglo-german alliance is not unheard of. In this scenario Wilhelm is aggresive more towards France and as much towards Russia irl and convinces the british to gain at their expense. Several factors could entice the brits to fight the french and the Russians in a 7 years war style of fight where they join the central powers and by virtue of that bring Japan, Italy and the Netherlands into it at least almost guaranteed, and likely Portugal and Belgium as well in the African theatre to make gains at french expense. Since the Germans were close to the ottomans the russians would be stretched thinner than irl because they'd have to fight the same front but a weaker france that very likely capitulates in 1914 especially with italy joining in as well in europe and if not keeps less german manpower there than irl, fight Japan in the far east with dutch and british colonian troop support, they'd not have access to american resources since by this time they were very much allies to germany rather than the uk or russia.

I liked the overall direction of this video as an imaging of a surviving Carolingian Empire.
The only criticism that I have is that the Carolingian conquest of North Africa is unrealistic. In our timeline, not even a unified Spain under Isabella of Castile and Ferdinand of Aragon tried to push into North Africa after the completion of the Reconquista. Keep in mind that Spain already had the areqbus/early firearms at that point.
Regardless I enjoyed this video and I hope that this channel blows up soon.

What prevented the Spanish kings from extending to North Africa (certain cities and strategic posts were conquered) was the discovery of America. Since Alfonso X the wise (thirteenth century)there was the idea to invade the Moors. But the justification for this was no longer the reestablishment of the Gothic kingdom of Hispania as it was the Reconquista, that is why Alfonso tried to be the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, to possibly after that launch a crusade against the Muslims.
Is really interesting how in this period after the conquest of Seville texts begin to appear in Castile praising Trajan and Hadrian, Roman emperors born in the city and praising them as hispanic emperors and somehow ancestors of the kings of Spain in spirit.

    This is a great timeline
    Part 2 by
The Mongols' swift and ruthless advance leads to the conquest of much of the Carolingian Empire. Charlemagne's forces struggle to resist the highly disciplined Mongol armies, and many key Carolingian territories fall to the invaders. As the Mongols continue their advance, they eventually reach Rome. In a devastating turn of events, they sack the city and kill the Pope. This act sends shockwaves throughout Europe and marks a turning point in the conflict. Despite the initial losses, the Frankish Roman Empire rally under the leadership of Theudebald IV and his descendants. They seek assistance from neighboring European powers like Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Anglo-Saxons, Norway, Sweden and form alliances to counter the Mongol threat. This alternate history scenario leads to a Europe that is more united in the face of external threats and perhaps a stronger focus on defending against potential invaders. The sacking of Rome and the death of the Pope leave a lasting impact on European history, shaping its geopolitical landscape and the role of the Catholic Church in the centuries to come.

after this the seleukos people can push westwar an attack greece an while fighting greece they beat rome an greece an then conquer the egyptians who are weak at this point

Feudalism probably saved Europe from the Mongols. Unlike much of the rest of the world, a single battle in Europe couldn't end a kingdom. There were THOUSANDS of castles across Europe, especially in the West. With the alternate mega-empire of the Carolingians, this is not the case. The Mongols would probably not win due to other factors, but the Carolingians would be broken beyond repair in the long term. They would eventually collapse in the 14th century. Wrong. They just had another name. The people of modern france are still gallo-romans, or romanized gauls. The reason why they are called french is because of the choronym of "France", which is derived from the tribe of the Franks who ruled it. While the Vikings are not be able to invade England, they can still go for Wales, Scotland and Ireland. To unify Wales under one rule and to preserve the independent status, the remaing Welsh monarch might employed more of the Vikings like how the Roman Autokrators employed the Norsemen as Varangian Guards. In other words, England will be attacked from three sides. By the sea in the east, by the west from the Wales and by the north from Scotland. But with the help of the Franks, the Hadrian Walls will be re-strengthen to defend the attacks from the north. In Ireland, the Vikings will most likely and eventually unite all the tribes living Ireland and develope their own civilization. In this timeline, Wales and Ireland will most likely become the strongholds of the Celtic Christianity with Wales acting like the bastion while Ireland functioned as this relative safe haven for Celtic Christians. As for Iceland, it is most likely remained as an independent commonwealth that still practiced the old Norse religion far from the eyes of the Franks.
And I personally doubted the Romans will be able to take Baghdad from the crumbling Abbasid Caliphate. By doing so, this means cutting off the Muslims from the land route for trade and pilgrimage to Mecca. So yeah, I doubted they will give it up. And I also doubted that the Muslims will even perform the aggressive expansion into China because the new Muslim powers that emerged in Central Asia and Iran and will most likely be focusing on trying to retake Baghdad and the rest of Mesopotamia back from the Romans. As a result, Mesopotamia will become a contested region between the Romans and the Muslims until the Mongols arrived to break this status quo. Instead of mistreating the Mongol envoys dispatched by Chinggis Khan, the ruling Muslim Emirs in Khorasan and Transoxiana of the times most likely viewed the Mongols as necessary allies. With the Mongol imperial ideology of ruling everything under the eternal blue sky, the Abbasid Caliph and the local Muslim Emirs will most likely justified such an ideology by claiming that the Khan is the ruler of everything under the sky while the Caliph is the religious leader of the Muslims who reside in the Mongol Empire.
As for how will the Romans and the Franks responded to the Mongols' arrival, it will be because the Rus' alerted the Romans about these nomadic conquerors from the east when the refugees arrived at Constantinople. As a result, the Romans will then alerted the Franks of the Mongols' arrival as well like you said in the video. With the Muslim rulers of Central Asia and Iran willingly submit themselves to the Mongol Khan, their realms are not only spared but also expanded as the Khan's promise to return Baghdad and Mesopotamia to them. After all, no monarchs can go back on their own words. With the frontier reduced to Anatolia once again, Egypt will be completely alone. Seeing the opportunity, something like the Coptic Revolution may happened, resulting in Egypt to become an independent nation with the Patriarch of Alexandria crowning the leader of this revolution the Pharaoh. And to safeguard his realm from the Mongol threat, the Pharaoh most likely will seek legitimacy from the Mongol Khan as a way of sparing his nation from being brutally conquered.
With Egypt as a vassal, the Mongols can either now go into Africa themselves or let the Pharaoh and his troops do the job for them in the expansion into North Africa. This will led to the Frankish-Egyptian War, one of the many wars between the Franks and the Mongols. The other wars will most likely be about assisting Poland and Lithuania in defending their realms from the Mongols and helping the Romans protecting the Syrian coastal cities such as Acre and Antioch or even defending Constantinople from the being besieged by the Mongols. And so, with manpower and resources are being distributed to multiple fronts, the Frankish Empire will be greatly weakened. So the possibility of losing the Maghreb to the Coptic Egyptian state might actually be possible.
While I have no idea how will the Mongols expansion in this timeline will ended, what I know is that its aftermath is going to quite something. Assuming that the Franks lost the Maghreb to the Egyptians, this means the Pharoah will become the master of the south of the Mediterranean Sea and the Abbasid Caliphate will once again come to rule Baghdad and Mesopotamia after having been ruling from Khorasan and Transoxiana for so long. However, this means Syria will become the contested region between the Romans, the Coptic Egyptians and the Muslims. As for the situation in Europe, Sweden might be the one that discovere the New World because of the old knowledge of routes to Vinland has never disappeared due to the persecution against the pagans by the Catholic Franks. As a result, Sweden will emerged as a the new major power. And upon hearing about Vinland, nations such as Norway, Scotland, Wales and Ireland will funded their own expeditions to Vinland to carve their own territories there as well. However, they will be met with the stronger resistance from the natives who have been living with the Norsemen who immigrated there for centuries. And they have horses and know how to use weapons made of steel. As for why the Frankish Empire, which started to becoming more France here, did not participate in the race to Vinland, that is because the need of economic recovery after multiple wars with the Mongols and possibly, wars of succession of their own.
