Just recently discovered Unification Mod and your channel. I must say as someone that has been CRAVING a solid 40k rts game this is a god send! I only wish there was a proper campaign element connecting it all. Until Total War decides to do 40k this is my new goto. Great work and keep it up!

Surprised to see World Eaters as just C. I think the "melee only" is problematic against very good opponents that can stay on top of the micro all the time, but it's hard to execute and easy to get snow-balled given the increased income. WE's ranged units (most of them) have short range, but some are extremely powerful (Combi Bolter Marines) or Powerful with good range (Auto Cannon Teeth of Khorne/Havoc Squads). The only aspect I think WE truly lacks lacks is reliable vehicles with ranged anti armor. I don't know if this list considers only high tier competitive matches so the matches rarely reach T4. Because of the increased kill count in end-game, WE's blood production and economy explodes. Constant Blessings from Khorne (which are no joke), unit production and the ability to field some really beast units like Red Butchers/Possessed Marines/Doomblaster/Sicaran Tank/T2 Titan with huge LoS. Not to mention all those commanders to increase economy even more. The snow-ball effect for WE seems quite substantial and I'm yet to see a good player that can properly make use of it. This is just on theory, I could never play to such level as I'm just and old average joe, but I think the potential may be there. Thanks for the video, love your content!

Thank you I couldn't make heads or tails of the previous list. This looks much cleaner. For Renegade Guard are people preferring Vrok or Shogun? Farsight, I think is by far the most aggressive faction. As they recruitat the frontline. As long as you can micro they can steamroll quickly.
If you focus on their "fragiles" orcas as a priority (including the building), they will very fast lack a lot of green and don't have another way to generate it, every time you kill a commander, they will have less resources, it's like a double sanction, you can easily be in a critical situation, because some orcas are always close to the frontline. While at the same time they are really powerful if you micro them well and your opponent doesn't focus on resources. Btw, I think there is (was?) a potential bug exploit, I didn't try if it works with the next versions, because I was not good enough to reproduce the move constantly (it needs to be done very very fast and i am not good enough with shortcuts) I tried a lot of time with few results, but sometimes I was able to drop the 2 first commanders with the first Orca, if it's still possible and someone find a way to do it substantially, you can accelerate a lot the economy and I think they become broken in some way (you begin with 3 orcas in place of 2, next batch if you have enough room, you will have the possibility to reproduce the move and drop 2 more commanders in one time, and have 5 orcas when you should have only 3, etc), with more orcas, more resources (more possibility to drop infantry too) PS: I was able to do it only once, it seems there is the same bug with free resources from Orcas too, if you are fast enough, you can drop some infantry and before the Orca leaves, you can receive resources too. To make this move, you need to be very fast and don't mess the shortcuts, but if you have the resources available to pay both commander, you need to click on first commander to produce it, manually drop him from the Orca, and immediately click on the second one, it's the same shit with infantry, if you drop them manually and click immediately on a "gift of resources", you can receive both before orca leaves. (You can easily see how the "bug" works, using pause if it's not in MP, after that you need to be able to reproduce it in real time and it's not so easy for me)
I'd love to see the community get together on a game like this to create factions from other universes. Like the Halo's covenant or Flood, BattleTech clans, Imperials from Star Wars, StarCraft Protoss, Etc, etc. Idk man, the thought of inter-universe battles sounds amazing.
My buddy loves legion of the damned. They are definitely much better now than they were before v7. But the nids are a pretty hard counter to them. If the player knows them and has good game sense they can be kinda crazy
I like almost all the rankings alot but I really think World Eaters are an A or S tier in 1 v 1. It demands extremely good micro of the opponent to deal with their relentless melee aggression. At least I have a very hard time dealing with them tbh.. Same for Farsight Enclaves, hard to manage but extremely hard to beat when in the hands of a potent player.
Im thinking the enclave is pretty much S teir once you learn how to play em they have only some specific weaknesses. mainly vs witch hunters with their broken Glaunchers
Whats the best ranged faction? I like to team up with a bot & just build up my home & watch the ai come in & get mowed down but so far with this mod it seems like melee factions are op
my only issue with the list is this - you need to play more night lords, like a lot more and get good NLs can and WILL run circles around pretty much everything IF you're good enough, so that rating is bogus imo
Well if the tier list is based on his personal skill and opinion ofc its gonna be scuffed. As it is always is with tier-list which is done by a single person and not community as a whole.
@@tiberazur3 Did you watch the video or just skip to the end? (I watched it at 2.5x speed, since yeah it is long.) He never really said anything at all about his own personal games. It was basically all based on his observations/casts of community matches and tournaments, which feels like a pretty good basis to comment from to be honest. Like he said, 300+ casts. That's a lot of impartial data to draw from. He knows all the top players of this mod by name, and gets a perspective of matches that few players do.
Got surprised seeing them as C, tought it would be A or S. Between Khorne's blessings and some extremely bulky units, I got surprised seeing them as only C. The only weakness I see WE having is the low range on most (but not all) of ranged units. Even inside this weakness, there are exceptions like the Doomblaster (Beast Unit but dangerous cause of friendly fire) and the T2 Titan with a huge LoS. But I'm just a random who plays against the computer, so who knows.

Mods aren't necessary, but having the extra factions and additional qol improvements like being able to zoom out further are fantastic. Strong units vs weak is hard to say as they have different roles and stages of the game to perform in. They also specialise in dealing with different units, guardsmen with flamers and grenade launchers are excellent vs cheap Infantry, but if you're fighting heavy infantry like SM you'll want plasma.

Unification has more factions UA has more stuff for each individual faction they're both solid but unification is more stable than UA for me
