  • At a Varnett charter school in Houston, Eddie Brown is teaching sixth graders about different forms of energy. The kids love him in the classroom - and so do audiences across the country, who flock to his "Teacher's Only" comedy tour. Steve Hartman reports.

It is true-- teachers are tired of being micromanaged. Eddie B is so funny. A BIG SHOUT OUT to Eddie B for standing up for teachers and making us laugh.

A substitute teacher reports to cover for Miss Jones. "Since Miss Jones is out for jury duty this week," she tells the class, "I'll be taking over. My name is Miss Prussy. That's like the word 'pussycat,' only with a 'p' after the 'R.' Now everyone open your Spelling books up to Page 50 and begin the assignment there." The next morning Miss Prussy comes in and says, "Good morning everyone. Now open your Spelling books to Page 52 and begin the assignment there." Going to each student individually, she asks them, "Do you remember my name?" Each one says, "Yes, you're Miss Prussy." But then she gets to Dirty Johnny and he says, "YEAH, I KNOW YOU! YOU'RE MISS CRUNT!"

Teachers are actually quite well paid, long summers off, many holidays, and all for taking easy classes in education.

Which teachers are you talking about? This teacher took some tough classes in college, is barely paid above the state minimum for teachers, and does work on holidays. If these teachers you speak of have it so good, why is it that so many teachers with bachelors and masters degrees have a second job? I’ll wait...

We deal with blane from parents and adminstrators, working long hours outside our own hours of pay. Not to mention the 20 to 35 different personalities eaxh abd every day. Resource kids, behavior and emotional issues, high fuctioning autistic kids, 2 to 3 years behind grade level and recent arrivals, absentee parents, kids that live with aunts, grandmas or foster care. We pay out of our own pocket for materials. We are expected to have them at grade level at the end of the year😂🤣 . Tooo many kids are coming into the school system with emotional problems.

The lies you tell and I'm not a teacher, nor am I a parent, but I can tell you from the HORRORS I've been told, teachers are paid BELOW what they should be!!
