Teachers don't often get to see the outcome and effects of there good work. Its heartwarming to see that he was able to be shown how much his honest good work was truly appreciated and what he had done over all those years had been a big influence in the lives of his students, still to this day!
This was an amazing story, but I want to give thanks to Mr Hartman as well. You don’t get enough credit, you cover great stories and make us cry out of joy. You deserved he coveted POB(pat on the back) I love you, sir.
Music teachers are so special. My junior high and high school choir teacher has touched so many lives in a similar fashion to this teacher. She was a second mom for most of us. Maybe we could do something like this for her as well, everyone knows she deserves it.
My daughters music teacher changed their lives, dramatically!! Thank you so much for what you did. I love this series!! Thank you Steve Hartman, I love and appreciate you and what you do!
Beautiful! That melody will be in his heart FOREVER! God bless him and all the educators of the world. Children and young adults remember who cares for them. Peace, Lynne 🍃💜🍃 Of course I cried! Happy tears!
The News Lady is Gorgeous. This Story gives me Chills Everytime. He is Such a Remarkable Music Teacher and He is One of the Billions that are So Hard to come by.
Wow, a real "Mr Holland". I love this one, cause I love the movie, and it makes you think about teachers who you have think unkindly of back in the day, how they always had your interest at heart.
Check out Mr. Tyler at Bernal Intermediate School. He passed recently and had our music class room dedicated to him. My 4 kids took instruments thanks to him.
Before this mess of a pandemic, I’d substitute teach preschool through 2nd grade and I’d certainly strive to pour as much into them as possible - if only for a day, weeks or a couple months!!! When a 1st grader runs to you, bursting through a crowd with his arms open and says, “I thought I’d never see you again!“ Man, talk about a lump in the throat… 🤭
What often goes missing is the sacrifice that the spouse and family sacrifice with absence that is required of a dedicated music teacher. Same with pastors.
This is really cute and moving and all, and I love it SO much... but c'mon, I cannot help but find a little amusing how a lot of the students look way older than the teacher
I don't think this story had anything to do with anyone's physical appearance. I don't know what mindset a person could have that the focus would be on that.
PBS’s “Washington Week” has been ruined, traditionally, viewer take-away has been of the viewers own assessment, the inclusion of a subject guide, as an on-screen banner at the bottom of the screen, is now in the hands of the program producers, at times, is totally out of sync with viewers appraisal, that I regret seem to be in vogue over most news programs that display them, to the annoyance of those that would like to be able to determine news vitals for themselves.
wow! you are punctuation challenged, i see. furthermore, what are you going on about? this is CBS News, not PBS' Washington Week. way to bring a downer to an otherwise lovely story! if you are this big a downer to a beautiful story, i'd hate to meet up with you at a funeral!

Mr Hartman, your stories are the best..
He must have deserved this! Amazing that his students did this for him!
I never had a teacher who inspired the loyalty that this teacher had.

I guess an integral part of growing up is realizing that the teacher you didn't like because of their strictness was actually the best one.
Yes Indeed!!! Lots of Discipline!!!

Steve Hartman has informed, entertained, and enriched my life.
Thanks a lot Steve Hartman, I can't breathe mow
You can't breathe nor see, because of the happy tears, that's why you wrote 'mow' instead of 'now'!

Steve Hartman has the BEST job.
A troubled kid or human being is noticed by disliking videos like these...Anger and hatred shows itself through different ways
The definition of an angel 😇
The onions are everywhere right now. I had some tough teachers but later on they admitted that they only cared for us to succeed.
Steve Hartman. I love you u uplift me.
I was teary eyed until I saw that full auditorium. Then the damn broke.
Check out Mr. Tyler at Bernal Intermediate School. He passed recently and had our music class room dedicated to him. My 4 kids took instruments thanks to him.

My band director was the best teacher that taught me in school.
Unfortunately, he died earlier this month.

This is only the second one of these little programs, but I love them. Now, I gotta go splash some cold water on my face . . .=(
This is really cute and moving and all, and I love it SO much... but c'mon, I cannot help but find a little amusing how a lot of the students look way older than the teacher

This is like the ending of the movie Mr. Holland’s Opus.
This reminds of the reunion in that White Christmas movie.
reminds me of Mr Holland's Opus..
I could not be a news anchor behind a desk. I'd be a mess when the camera came back.
Same here

“They lured him out to the country… then hit him…” Bad time for a pause 😂

It’s hard to watch anything without noticing how large Americans are.
That's one great way to retire

What would have happened if those 900 students had focused on CRT and Woke studies?
