- G'day Legends! HOW EPIC IS THIS!! Shauno and I head out chasing Yellowfin Tuna and manage to hit the jackpot in 2000m of water! With tuna and birds everywhere there is only one thing left to do. CAST!! An absolutely insane day fishing off the gold coast with plenty of laughs thrown in as well. I also go through how to fillet Tuna and get invited to a Tuna feast cooked up by my good friend Chef Julian! Hope you enjoy the video, days don't get too much better then this!

Btw, the oceanic white tip is also called “Longimanus”.
It was my first shark encounter, in the Red Sea on the outer
reef while doing a drift dive. 4 meters length in about 5-6 meters
distance while drifting along the reef with 5-6 knots!!!
That’s when I had to wash my wetsuit really thorough back at the
Dive boat 😂

Yeah mate, just had 180 dives then and most in the mediterranean, so no sharks up close. And when you are drifting in blue water with a depth of 700m underneath you and you see a little submarine coming out of the blue having a look at you and then dissappearing again, the heart

For the size those strippys fight hard ive caught 3 almost max sized ones and absolutely love them especially on the lighter gear @30lb. Haven't been able to get the yellow fins yet

You guys need a "Billy Bat" like we use here in the states. It's a short wooden bat with about a lb of lead in the end of it and when you whack a tuna or anything else in the head with it they automatically go to sleep!!!😎👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

We catch the yellow fin tunas in the Gulf of Mexico and they are twice as fat as the ones you were catching. Are yours a different kind of yellow fin tunas then the ones we catch. Also the fins we catch are much longer.
