I probably use Passage Guide far more than anything else. It seems to be the quickest and easiest way to get at all of the relevant commentary entries. I also enjoy occasionally taking a gander at all of the extra data it returns. Still learning about all of the features though.
Have you been able to get a sense of how well the print resources are integrated? I'm wondering if my print resources will show up in the commentary section of the passage guide, or in the handy little "parallel books" dropdown.
Hi there: Andrea here. Wow, Logos sends you a $20 voucher on your birthdays (5:44)? I've been using Logos for a couple years now. I'm on it like 5-10 hours a day, 6 days a week, so I didn't hesitate to upgrade to Logos 10 on the day it was launched. But I've never received any kind of voucher from Logos, ever. I wonder if that gift voucher is limited to users in the States?
So, I'm not sure on the specifics of which packages that comes with, but I bought the silver package back in 2007 and I believe I've received the annual promo code since then. I currently have the gold base package and they send me that annual promo. Which set do you have?
@@SoulFire209 I see. The highest level package I've ever purchased was Logos 8 Reformed Platinum. After Logos 9 was launched, I purchased several lower-level libraries and feature upgrades.
@@SoulFire209 I contacted Logos's CS. Turned out, what's required are (1) subscribe to Faithlife mailing list & (2) fill in the birthdate field on our Faithlife profile. I've been provided with my birthday voucher for the year 😀 Thanks man!
@@akiskandar Oh nice. That makes sense. Glad you figured that out. I've been buying a new commentary every year on my birthday with the credit. Good for others to know as well!
How does the free version of logos hold up? Maybe you could do a video on that. Also do you need to buy a package to enable print resource or does the free version work?
I'm not sure on the free version, but I could give that a try. It would have a lot of the basics and a few resources that are in the public domain. To enable the print resource function, you need to be on a gold package or above. So, that's an upper tier feature for sure.
@@SoulFire209 That’s another area where the M series of chips will help. Highly recommend the upgrade. They are still selling the original M1 powered MacBook Air for $999 - an amazing deal, imo. You don’t need more than 8gb ram with these new machines and no fans!
What features are you using most in Bible software? Let us know in the comments!
Is there a simple way to search for words in a book? Like pressing ctrt + f?

The print library only works in search. It will show a snippet of the results and let you open the print book to read/reference.
Thank you!
You bet! I've enjoyed the software.
Powerful review!!!!! Love it
Definitely worth the upgrade
We will have to check that 😎👍
Awesome! The print library feature makes it a great update.
Do you currently use Logos?
I began with Logos 2.0 on cd rom ...
Ha awesome, yeah my first one was also on CD. It became a lot easier when you could just download it. What version are you using now?
Do you know if the print feature is included in the base packages? I can't get a hold of anyone from Logos yet.
Thanks for this clarification. I looked through the launch material and I believe it is included with the gold and above base packages.
Same here, don't see the feature, only the buy button.

I checked with logos , this feature is available only in logos Gold and not in cheaper modules
Yes, that’s a great clarification

@@SoulFire209 thanks appreciate it! Nice to have a video on the feasibility & usability of the free version. :)
Will a print resources appear in guide results?
I don’t think so. From the advertising, the main feature is search. I checked the passage guide and don’t see it including my print resources.
@@SoulFire209 Bummer. Thanks for checking though!
It screams on the Apple M chip, fyi.
Sweet, and by screams I'm guessing you are saying it's really fast?
@@SoulFire209 yeah literal screaming would be a bit inconvenient for those late night study sessions lol.
