    Great explanation of the new logos.When using AI, it searches the library that you have, and other bibical resources that if you don't have, you can buy. But it's not just getting anything from google, or any other unknown source that is questionable. What I like about the new AI is the subscription model. I know everyone does not agree with this, but what about those students of the word that are not able to purchase everything they need right away? The subscription will allow you to purchase what you need, and be able to use all the resources right away. Be blessed!

      That's a great point. Thanks for sharing your experience! That is an added benefit of the subscription. When I was first starting in ministry, I couldn't afford Logos but may have been able to budget for a subscription.

    Don't overlook the power of questions for sermons. Some people don't engage in the sermon but engage through a well-worded question. The questions that the Sermon Assistant made I thought were too scholarly and not as much application. The sermon questions can pull a person into listening more closely to the sermon to find an answer to a question in his or her life.

      Good point. I didn't even consider using the questions in my sermon. But I agree, asking questions in a sermon is powerful and great way to keep people engaged

      @@NewTestamentDoc that is an awesome point. The funny thing is even without Logos, I’ve always asked questions while preaching.

    Good review. The concern may be more of AI being a “slippery slope” and/or frankly being misused by some who do not share your intent to rely on Spiritual Discernment. As a very part time preacher I write out my sermons in a Harvard Outline format. It allows for focusing on a point by point delivery without having my eyes to refocus on where at left off. My question on Sermon Builder is if a sermon can be written in the Harvard Outline format? If not, can I write it in Apple pages and (gulp) copy and paste? I am debating on upgrading Logos 10 to include sermon builder but would be ecstatic if sermon builder allowed the Harvard Outline format. Thank you. Love your communication skills and devotion.

      Thanks! Yes, you can indent paragraphs, so you could write in a Harvard Outline format. You would just have to type in the formatting of Roman numerals and letters for each indent.

      @@ProPreacher Thank you for the prompt reply. That’s a little more work than I intended since I’m a bit lazy but that can work. Blessings.

    What package do you need for this to be included?

    • @ProPreacher
      @ProPreacher  2 місяці тому +1

      I believe it will be part of their new Max package coming soon, and those who have a full feature set of Logos 10 will get it for a discounted rate.

      I believe it's also available in the pro package.

    For someone new to logos..would you say it makes sense to purchase logos 10 at the discounted rate or just bite the bullet and wait for the subscription? ( I wonder what the chances are of getting this answered before the sale ends LOL)

      @@MatthewEmillio from what they’ve told me, you’ll save about $70 a year on a max subscription if you have Logos 10. Or go from 19.99 a month down to 12.99 a month. To me, that would be worth it.

    I just tried it a few times. The sermons are about a mile wide and an inch deep.

      My favorite thing about AI is having it as a starting point where I can say it’s wrong or needs depth. 🙂

      @ProPreacher  2 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, I wouldn’t ever use it as is. But it’s not bad for getting things started in a pinch. But definitely will need to do the work and add your own depth.

    How many pastors are going to cite AI or just choose to plagiarize?

    • @ProPreacher
      @ProPreacher  2 місяці тому

      I would hope that pastors have enough integrity to never plagiarize. However, I have another video on plagiarism that has proven controversial because far too many pastors do it.

    Shouldn't preaching the Word of God be powered by the Holy Spirit rather than AI?

    • @ProPreacher
      @ProPreacher  2 місяці тому

      Absolutely. AI doesn't replace the Holy Spirit, and it would be foolish to let it get close. AI is best used a tool to help a pastor research more efficiently, not to write the sermon for you.

    What we need is to slow down and be less busy, not artificial intelligence that keeps us "highly functional" as we rush through life. The whole premise that a pastor is just too busy with "pastoral ministry" to prepare a sermon is just terribly sad.
    I appreciate the clarity of your review, and your effort to ward people away from "replacement" approaches with this AI tool, but my point above still stands. This is not the way.

    • @SingleatChurch
      @SingleatChurch 2 місяці тому

      Amen, its struggling with the text ourself and making the outline ourself that we begin to see transformation first in ourself then in the lives those we minster to. If we use cheap shortcuts and we falsely believe that we are too "busy" to study then we are too busy. The Church in America is a complete mess we need to go back to simpler times, times before the "church growth movement" destroyed (well almost) the Church. churches fear man, not God. sorry for the rant and rabbit chase.

  • @skibbydogg
    @skibbydogg 2 місяці тому

    I did not say you would, but I can name a few who have plagiarized in the past and likely will yield to temptation again.

    Who needs the Holy Spirit when you have AI?

    • @ProPreacher
      @ProPreacher  2 місяці тому

      If you watch the video, you will see that I explain how AI is not a replacement for a pastor seeking inspiration from the Holy Spirit. It is a productivity tool that should be used responsibly.

    People should not get it wrong... The job of AI is to boost your learning or getting there time. God called Saul as he was already taught in the old biblical ways and according to his testimonies, he was good. We could tell from his letters. So, AI is like us calling our Saul into Paul I would think. Without the Holy Spirit, AI is still useless in applying it to the lives of the congregation.

    I find the application generator to be the worst part of the tools. Corny.
    The illustrator is probably the best part.
    The outline is hit or miss. Sometimes helpful, sometimes too much alliteration.

    • @ProPreacher
      @ProPreacher  2 місяці тому +1

      That’s fair. The application isn’t for everyone. But I agree about the illustration. They’re not bad to help you get started. And I love the discussion questions.
