Sorry, had to pause the video to make this comment. But the way you closed the door is not going to shatter it. What shattered the door was when it swung outward and hinges applied a lot of pressure to the glass in a small area, that’s what shattered it. Closing it hard so that pressure is spread out across the sides of the glass isn’t going to break it as easily as two hinges in a small area. I’d be more impressed if you tipped the printer on the side like Uncle Jessie did and it didn’t break. Now, on to watching the rest of the video.

Not as of yet, there were talks about me heading to China for another video but the lines have been silent since! I’ll let you know if anything happens tho
The good, the bed size. The bad no improvements on bambu and creality is not known for customer service. If creality wants to win me back they're better be pre-written wikis showing every feature and how to work on it. No top secret parts list.
I now have, in addition to my new K1C, and K1 Max, I have about 5 more bed slingers that I am either going to donate to family and friends. All of them are out of warranty, so I’m going to update them with wi fi, on at least 3 of them, like a Tronxy XY-3, a Mingda Rock 3, a Voxelab Aquila,Mingda D2, and a Creality Ender 3, that I am wanting to upgrade to a Ender Extender 400. I would like to test out the new K2, and see what it is like, when it is released. I emailed Creality on it, but I haven’t received any response back yet.
I was preparing to buy Chi one C I think I will hold off another 45 months to save up for this machine which I’m seeing in Pre-orders for Round 1400 US
Is the top of the printer still glass, or has it been changed to acrylic? A bit disappointing that the transparent sides seem to be gone, but I suppose that's better for privacy with the camera.
Outstanding job on 10yr hosting ! Watched it all. I think they said CFS when available will have a retrofit kit to use on K and V3 series. Can you confirm and maybe share some pricing? No price mentioned for K2 Plus or CFS during the live 10YR.
Looks awesome love the build size. Just purchased A p1s and ams but it was a bit pricey due to not much Supply in NZ. Creativity has a bigger Market in NZ so glad to see this unit coming soon :) (went with the bambu cos i needed multi color)
I don’t think it’s about the glass alone. It’s the hinge having no resistance to movement. If it had some tension when you broke yours it wouldn’t have slung open to the point where the glass had to flex which it can’t so it broke/shattered.
Due to creality product support issues they have a serious brand issue....with that they never respond emails they're online support doesn't work their phone number doesn't even work. Tried to pre-order the K2 this morning starting at 6:00 a.m. wouldn't go through I like the printer machines looking forward to using their K2 for some projects this winter if I can't order it there's no point moving on to a different brand.
Thank you for awesome video, I can understand my wishlist Item more properly. By the way I can't find any port for wired connection, The printer can't Wired connect with usb drive or laptop?
I am most interested in seeing how they have implemented the software side of things and, if the K2 line is staying on klipper, how that multi spool system is configured and integrated. Also seeing what other lessons they may have learned from the K1 line in regards to the web interface and what the enthusiast part of the community is looking for.
the K1 line of things works great once your root the machine and use Orca, the Creality print just isnt tuned enough. the same model with same infill and layer height is so much better with orca. Creality should switch to Orca as the basis for creality print
@@TheRealSamPrentice sorry, I mean new printers could still have fail prints, and older (technology) 3D printers have more issues need to tweak around. New improved technology printers like this one I'd assume the manufacturers improved a great deal and fix a lot of issues and they are much more user friendly. I have an old creality that causes layer shifts when printing tall prints, im assuming it's the bed slinger movement issue
with the sale price, I just can't decide if this is worth an x1c replacement or not. I love my x1c but not sure if it's worth replacement or just addition... only reason for me is because of the larger build plate.
I was going to get a creality k1 but I keep hearing about clogging issues. Don’t know if it’s just a filament issue or a tweaking with the settings but that has me hesitant to get it.
Nice video! Loved it, thank you for the time and effort you put into making these video's.. I also have a question.. I made a cabinet in my kitchen complete with a desk dedicated for a 3D printer work environment for my Ender3v2, 4 years ago. It has 2 compartments with 62cm in hight, 56,5cm width, 48cm deep and 2 large drawers beneath for filllament boxes. I made it because i wanted an enclosed environment for the Ender3v2 to keep the heat and noise inside.. My question is, and this may be a retorical question but i realy want to update and read somewhere that the K2 plus is 64cm high. Is this with or without the filament holder on top? 😅 Im thinking of buying the K1 Max because it would fit in there, but if the K2 Plus without the fillament holder would fit it would be better.. I cant find anything about dimensions with and without the fillament Dryer/Holder on top... If it would fit i could place the fillament dryer/holder in the top cabinet and drill a hole to the lower compartment.. If not im buying the k1 Max with an Micro Swiss extruder.. If anyone has info please lemme know.. thank you. 🥰
I really hope the RFID is open source. Would love to see RFID chips used by standard filament companies or maybe reusing/reprogrammable chips. Also I love seeing those cardboard spools in the CFS. You wouldn't think cardboard would be to hard to use lol.
Although creality has less quality than bambu, but always their prices is amazing and affordable, I hope this not come expensive…. So for now it is on my plan , I’m planning to buy bambu X1 , but I’ll wait to see the price If it is worth waiting
How’s the print quality compared to bambu? I had a k1 for a short time and loved it but it had screen issues so I returned it and bought a bambu p1s. The print quality on bambu is just a little better. Curious how this k2 stacks up.
This is a great first look, Sam. I really like the temperature and humidity readout in the CFS. Given the continued issues I'm having with my K1 Max, though, I'm reserving judgement and will keep a skeptical eye on this.
I was about to get a x1c but stumbled upon this and it is actually at a besser price. Would you recommand this one above the the bambu lab x1c? Sorry I'm a beginner at 3D printing
Thanks for the update! so it looks like it retracts the filament all the way back into the CFS? And then sends the next filament to the hotend, purges into the chute and continues? Similar to the Phrozen Arco system
Hi Sam Do you know when the K2 plus will be released, for example you who can show it off and go deeper with the new K2 plus. or have they completely chosen that only Kevin 3D is allowed to show it in house? a little strange that no youtuber has got or has had to show it off, still a lot of money to throw on the table if you find things that are not as they should be again or regarding rep it is almost impossible for a normal user to change himself.
I have it here and there are several out there running beta tests, it’s not really that strange as many manufacturers do the same so we can work on content and feedback any issues. You won’t be disappointed I feel 🎉
@@TheRealSamPrentice thanks for the info. it was more compared to previous releases that no one still hasn't really seen much of the other, the superficial videos that are there, where you can't form a proper impression in any way, several places in my home country, you can order it without anyone fixed date on when they will actually be able to be delivered. but then I have to happily wait for you to make a video of it, I hope it will be easier to repair if vital parts need to be changed such as bearings.
If Creality can deliver an open CFS system for upgrading nearly every printer from a Prusa MK3/4 over an Ender 3V3 to an K1c ... that would sell like warm bread, especially with open scripts for any Klipper machine! For the K2 I hope they do also bring a "standard" K2 with 300 x 300 (which is enough for me) and maybe also an K2c with 220x220 or 250x250.
I was a bit excited when I saw a video or 2 about this printer.. Went to checked specs.. And it has everything I want from a printer now in an okay price range. Then I went to look for "real user reviews" and a shop and saw it´s not shipping until November... So that sucks... If it was a month perhaps I could have waited. Now it feels I need to buy multiple printers to get all the features I want.. Or get a 10k one
I been waiting for this since end of last year when I first heard about it, great quick review, excited, need to make a built in file for a poop basket 🤔
I'm never gona buy a bambu because it is not open source... But this K2 I will probable buy it, since creality has consistently released the file os its printers... Cant wait!
Only having aux fans on both sides is a good thing. That reduces weight in the toolhead which will help with input shaper results. I'd be worried about the noise levels though
late to a game does not mean that you cannot improve something, so i dont understand why the CFS does not accept 2,5/3kg filament spools and also does not have an included filament drying function. why do they just bring a copy cat Klon1X with the K2 and not a better version? Do they dont have any dev team beside of the ones who just copy bambu? They already have the filament dryer so the technology is in the company and what is the issue to just build the CFS with adjustable rolls and more space in it so that it can take any spool size of filament including the very big 3kg? I mean a 350x350x350 bed but not enough space for bigger spools? such a waste of possibilities tbh
Order now: shorturl.at/16OOp (aff link)
Missed opportunity to do 5 filaments on the unit, would fit the bigger printer better too
this system is also made for K1 series, that's why
need to wait for bambu to come up with one first before they can copy it lmao
Definitely looks like there would have been just enough space for fifth roll up there, would have been sweeter with that fifth roll.

With the rfid, is that going to be interchangeable or is it going to be that it's their filament only?
Do you see generic filaments with rfid tags?
Prime tower, its not a purge tower, its used for priming the nozzle
Well if he knew anything about 3D printers, he wouldn't be shilling for creality.
Came for the k2 plus stayed for the cleaning lady! :) heh
Yay! Thank you!
@@TheRealSamPrentice I'm so intrigued by that dual Y stepper motor v3! I hope you cover it before leaving china! Ill have to really step up my game if I wanna get my hands on one to race it against the v3 and k1c >:)
It’s in the works
Hey Sam, this is Mitch from Polar Filament. Any chance you’ve gotten your hands on a spool with RFID yet? Curious to see how they implemented it, and whether or not it’s possible for filament companies (like us) to implement this on our end.
More interested in the CFS + K1 max upgrade kit.
I’m with you there
I literally just got a K1C 2 weeks ago, is the multi filament system going to be available for the K1C?
man i am so pissed rn.... i am thinking about getting a refund and buying the k2...
Where is the poop gonna go?
I was preparing to buy Chi one C I think I will hold off another 45 months to save up for this machine which I’m seeing in Pre-orders for Round 1400 US
Great video, is the multicolor system compatible with K1 and K1 Max??
Yup with upgrade
@@Makerboy.Projects great thx for answering
I'm gonna cheat and ask where I can find that upgrade. I have a K1 max coming soon.
Definitely interested in the K2 plus. Sam do you know when Creality will put more information on their website?
I the next few weeks… and I have another video coming out
Will multicolor support will be for K1 MAx as well ?
Is the top of the printer still glass, or has it been changed to acrylic? A bit disappointing that the transparent sides seem to be gone, but I suppose that's better for privacy with the camera.
It’s glass
@@TheRealSamPrentice Great, thanks for the confirmation!
Man that ams system seems nice!
They call it "CFS". 🙂
Is the hot end all metal? Are there hardened nozzles? How difficult is it to change nozzles?
if its anything like the k1 you'll have to wait till micro Swiss comes out with a hardened upgrade
Micro swiss is so much better
Will the k2 plus be able to do aircraft panels by that a mean first off print the black panel and then the white text where the switch holes would go
Good to see a decent bed size. Been looking at Bambu but bed size has been the issue for me. This looks like the go to printer.
Will the CFS be available separately ? will it work with the K1?
Yes and maybe
Is the filament chamber a dehydrator or just holding the filaments? Thanks
Looking Fantastic Sam. Looks Really Polished
Thanks!
I'm happy to see this emerging. My top question is price. Another key question is will they support rooting it?
This actually might be my first creality printer after the early birds beta test it
I don’t think it’s about the glass alone. It’s the hinge having no resistance to movement. If it had some tension when you broke yours it wouldn’t have slung open to the point where the glass had to flex which it can’t so it broke/shattered.
Will this release forces Bambu to release X1 XL?
If they want to continue to compete yes
Due to creality product support issues they have a serious brand issue....with that they never respond emails they're online support doesn't work their phone number doesn't even work.
Tried to pre-order the K2 this morning starting at 6:00 a.m. wouldn't go through I like the printer machines looking forward to using their K2 for some projects this winter if I can't order it there's no point moving on to a different brand.
Man I’m glad I waited to buy a new printer…almost pulled the trigger on the ARCO from Phrozen and this looks way more polished
Thank you for awesome video,
I can understand my wishlist Item more properly.
By the way I can't find any port for wired connection, The printer can't Wired connect with usb drive or laptop?
It’s on the right panel, this printer runs klipper so you connect via ip
I am most interested in seeing how they have implemented the software side of things and, if the K2 line is staying on klipper, how that multi spool system is configured and integrated. Also seeing what other lessons they may have learned from the K1 line in regards to the web interface and what the enthusiast part of the community is looking for.
the K1 line of things works great once your root the machine and use Orca, the Creality print just isnt tuned enough. the same model with same infill and layer height is so much better with orca. Creality should switch to Orca as the basis for creality print
Any idea how thick the bed is? Is it cast aluminum ?
5mm
hi, is this stable for tall prints, or it will still have layer shifts? thanks
When you say still.. ? this is a new printer
There have been some updates now and you also have the k1c in play
I'm wondering how will the CFS be able to use with the K1, bc the K1 don't have a filament cutter. Maybe it will be a kit?
Im thinking of buying the K1 Max because it would fit in there, but if the K2 Plus without the fillament holder would fit it would be better.. I cant find anything about dimensions with and without the fillament Dryer/Holder on top... If it would fit i could place the fillament dryer/holder in the top cabinet and drill a hole to the lower compartment.. If not im buying the k1 Max with an Micro Swiss extruder..
If anyone has info please lemme know.. thank you. 🥰
Looks Awesome, I wish I could afford one...... My Ender3V2 drives me crazy, time to get a new one.
Stuck with my Ender 3 V1 for a while, finally bought a Bambu Lab P1S, Ender 3 became a paper weight
Will the cfs be compatible with any other creality printers
@@redline6871 not right now, but they apparently have plans for k1 and ender 3v3
I wonder if it will work with TPU😏
This is a great first look, Sam. I really like the temperature and humidity readout in the CFS. Given the continued issues I'm having with my K1 Max, though, I'm reserving judgement and will keep a skeptical eye on this.
What kind of issues were you having with that one? I've seen lots of good and bad experiences there
Which one should I get ? P1s or this one ?
does anyone know when this will be released? (Both the K2 and the CFS thing)
They are saying July, but that’s optimistic
Do you know if it has bed adjustment knobs underneath the bed similar to their older printers?
yes but not like other printers.
Very interesting! Does the CMS have actively heated drying? Or is it just a monitor for temperature and humidity ?
Just a monitor, no drying unfortunately.
Is it possible for a CFS accessory to work with a k1max printer?
I do not believe that this will be the case.
00:07 I don't know why but that zoom in made me howl with laughter. Oh the joys of shooting video in uncontrolled environments. :)
We re shot that part but decided to leave it in lol
@@TheRealSamPrentice thanks for the info. it was more compared to previous releases that no one still hasn't really seen much of the other, the superficial videos that are there, where you can't form a proper impression in any way, several places in my home country, you can order it without anyone fixed date on when they will actually be able to be delivered. but then I have to happily wait for you to make a video of it, I hope it will be easier to repair if vital parts need to be changed such as bearings.
can the CFS handle flexible filaments?
I would highly doubt that
@@TheRealSamPrentice it does not, on the k2 plus specs😥
If Creality can deliver an open CFS system for upgrading nearly every printer from a Prusa MK3/4 over an Ender 3V3 to an K1c ... that would sell like warm bread, especially with open scripts for any Klipper machine!
For the K2 I hope they do also bring a "standard" K2 with 300 x 300 (which is enough for me) and maybe also an K2c with 220x220 or 250x250.
Why would they do that? That’s more of a 3rd party solution
So what is the pressure release reffering to?
It’s something to do with filament buffering apparently
@@TheRealSamPrenticeoh so not a lot of information about it. Thank you nonetheless.
@@AngelVenomous no worries, if only I spoke Chinese.
@@TheRealSamPrenticehahaha.
Is the multi color system going to be compatible with the K1 and K1 Max series?
There is a mod they have planned for the k1 series yes
@@TheRealSamPrentice Awesome. Thank you very much for this information!
@@hunterofdark2 I’ll update with more when I have the info
I been waiting for this since end of last year when I first heard about it, great quick review, excited, need to make a built in file for a poop basket 🤔
I'm never gona buy a bambu because it is not open source...
But this K2 I will probable buy it, since creality has consistently released the file os its printers...
Cant wait!
will there be an attachment for the k1 max for multi color printing? or only the k2?
Yep there will be
Still have the lidar? They get rid of the nozzle cooling and only use the aux fans?
Only having aux fans on both sides is a good thing. That reduces weight in the toolhead which will help with input shaper results. I'd be worried about the noise levels though
Sam , Did they say if the camera is a higher resolution or frame rate? The k1/max/c camera kinda sucks and can over heat
Any idea if the K2 will have the same belt drive gears as the K1C?
Does CFS have in-built filament dryer and there is no need for the external dryer?
Unfortunately not :(
@@TheRealSamPrentice Then what is that temperature reading on the screen? what’s the purpose of it?
@meetpatel4225 humidity sensor and temperature
late to a game does not mean that you cannot improve something, so i dont understand why the CFS does not accept 2,5/3kg filament spools and also does not have an included filament drying function. why do they just bring a copy cat Klon1X with the K2 and not a better version? Do they dont have any dev team beside of the ones who just copy bambu? They already have the filament dryer so the technology is in the company and what is the issue to just build the CFS with adjustable rolls and more space in it so that it can take any spool size of filament including the very big 3kg? I mean a 350x350x350 bed but not enough space for bigger spools? such a waste of possibilities tbh
