Great update as always! Interesting to see the mapping. Had the pleasure of test driving a Tesla for the past week and one of the best features is its big screen with UA-cam built in. I discovered the joy of being ‘stuck’ in a car park watching vintage Wardy’s Waffle videos whilst waiting for a fast charge to complete with a cup of tea and a Lion bar, and the heated seats on maximum… I did offer my sincere apologies to the present Mrs Davis for not making it back in time to do the supermarket shop but just between us, it was bliss! 😉
I’m surprised you’re not still sat there! Watching all my waffle would have used up all the electricity going into the car!!
When the dryer and bins were put in they would have been state of the art in grain systems when it was installed Interesting field mapping for wet spots hope it works as will save a lot of money in fertiliser and sprays
We had a very similar system apart from the drier was an Alvin Blanche bed, with an air tunnel cooled with a old lister diesel fan! The sounds of those elevators bring back memories of hot shovelling! Thanks Andrew
😂👍
Oh Andrew thanks for that trip round the corn bins. Harvest time was when all the guys went off and gathered grain off the fields and left me running a virtually identical plant. I could still remember the smell as you took us round. I often thought at midnight with wet grain running through the drier 'So this is Farm Management? Thankfully now in retirement I can hang up the shovel. Thanks for these weekly fixes.
Great view of the corn bins and a real education for the non-farming community. Be good to see a similar view at harvest with the heat, darkness and dust which workers endure! Keep up the interesting videos!
Are you the Ian Fleetwood I saw at Short Ferry last week?
Fantastic content really interesting for.someone who grew up in farming but away from it for 30 plus years
Very interesting mapping and just proves how much area was lost in production in that one field alone , totally get its worth your time and effort to save on inputs . Agri tech has come a long long way. Excellent always liked your grain drying and storage system.
Very interesting update again. Mapping saving costs and good for the environment.
Great video Andrew, most interesting ,your ditch that barry cleaned out now looks stunning ,its the worst spring that I can remember for sowing all of our spring crops ,we are in hampshire
Fantastic update! For a while I worked in pest control many years ago, and Lincolndhire Farms were my favourite places. Brings back lots of memories.
Cracking update again Andrew, it’s good to show the people that don’t know the different way you store and load grain it real interesting, it’s a good job done with the new buggy doing the mapping cracking job. 😊
Thanks Andrew nice to see how different people use the mapping of fields nice update
Good midweek update Andrew, very interesting on how you map your fields.
Great Video Andrew, the mapping is such a great management tool, there are bound to be substantial financial savings with such accuracy and the environment benefits as well.. Win Win situation 🙂
Hey Andrew, great video as usual. I would be interested in that grain cleaner, only problem is the Irish sea between us 😥😥
😂😂
Great video as usual. Investing in modern technology soon pays off it seems. I think I’d keep the drier - you never know when it might be needed these days - and as my dad would say “It’s not eating anything!”
Super video, Andrew. Very impressive grain storage facility. 👏
Very interesting Andy. Oh how farming has and is changing.
Enjoyed
The good thing about loading a lorry with the converter system is that you can do other work while it's loading. Not so good for the lorry driver though.
Great video Andrew
Be interesting to know the % savings on inputs from your exclusion zones, presume you're doing it across your total acreage .
What's your marketing strategy for produce ? Do you take any advice ?
We had a vertec drier similar to that one !
Cowslips are early to flower !
No advice but do speak to local, family merchants.
Good video very interesting
Interesting update.
great job andrew
Hope your bins have an angled floor to empty them selves. It was keep fit in my old bin system . 8 held 25 t each but 2-3 t had to be shovelled out into an auger , back bins emptied into elevator and conveyor so you shovelled grain twice. Installed in the 50s still in use 35 years later. Torture in the heat and dust , don’t miss it one bit. Even the scrap man had a job cutting them up.
They don’t, when they stop running theres 5 ton left in the corner to hand shovel! 🤨😳
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard hope you’ve got some helpers ,I can smell the job now , the dry grain dust smell in the face mask . People say arable farming is just sitting on a machine seat as well, they wouldn’t do that job I bet.
About the worst job ever!
Amazing thanks for that
A great video Andrew as always, it's still raining here in the south west of Cornwall, I just hope we can get livestock out soon or we will run out of haylage.😮
That’s a real worry for many. If that happens please get in touch on 01926 620135 but don’t leave it until you’ve run out!
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard thank you Andrew, and as I write this now it's still raining and has all day. I got cattle to muck out, but can't even do that because I can't get the muck out because the ground is so wet.
Definitely very difficult times ahead.
I am keeping a close eye on my feed stock.
Please don’t hesitate to contact that number, that’s why FA is here. I think I’ll mention it in Sundays video.
great update
You're once a man twice a boy in arable farming. You set off doing all the lads jobs, carting, cultivating and rolling. Then you graduate to drilling, spraying and combining. Then finish up running the dryer and doing the paperwork!
That’s me!!!!
(12:39) did narla run down the tunnel when you entered,????????????
Yes!
Don’t know if you’ve seen that China seems to be canceling much of their wheat import contracts over many countries, apparently Russia has a bumper crop coming , Argentina is putting a large amount of grains on the world market this year . And China has a big harvest themselves . Apparently china has cancelled most of its contracts with Australia . Now , I saw this briefly on a short news article , but then it moved on and couldn’t find it again , sorry about that Andrew . I hope it’s just scare mongering , but worth checking out . Kind regards Stephen Clark
No it’s not , I have seen the same thing said , what is even worse for western economies is that they are trading without using the dollar , good idea the sanctions were don’t you think ? The guy I watched talking about this said imposing sanctions on Russia was exactly what they planned for and were therefore ready for the newly created opportunities, this is what happens when you have an incompetent self serving government
I don’t think it is.
Andrew, An obscure question. From where do you purchase your shirts? Rgs Rob
Mostly Crew, they seem good quality at a resins level price and often have 3 for 2 offers etc. Be careful on their sizes though, they tend to come up a little small. I need a large in a regular cut and XL in a slim cut. I’m never XL in anything else!
Hello Andrew, how did you get fields from Polaris screen to the computer without jd link or did you put on tractor via a usb and then use jd link to view in my john Deere?
Look at update 239, that shows us setting it up.
If loader operator is any good he can crab steer the full length of the shed side with no digging in with his bucket.
What if the loader operator is me?!!
Have manitou repaired your machine yet Andrew ?
The new one? There’s nothing wrong with it.
Thought they took one away broken ?
@Shaunalexander.99 Our trade in with the split tyres off the new one!
What make is the grain cleaner Andrew
Turner.
It’s in the video at 18.47
We use to bag of the cleaner. Two and a quarter hundred weight sacks. West of England hired sacks.

Could you get some more pictures of it when you get chance?
What’s your email please?
